Might as well take care of this before the Direct today.

Now I have no idea what's going to be talked about during the Nintendo Direct, but on the offshoot chance that a new character is introduced, I might as well bring out my speculative list... and by that I mean list of Mii Fighter costumes that have yet to be promoted.

X, Proto Man, and MegaMan.EXE - As much as I'd like to see these three as playable or as an assist trophy, they are already a part of Mega Man's Final Smash.

Dunban - Shulk's Final Smash.

Mishima Heihachi - It would be kind of nice to see Heihachi as a playable character, though I'm not sure how the button inputs will be done.

Yūki Akira & Jacky Bryant - In brutal honesty, I am not familiar with the Virtua Fighter series to give a proper assessment on these two.

Flying Man - It would be really nice to get a non telekinetic representative of the Earthbound series as playable, though I have my doubts. Duster from Mother 3 might have a better chance then this character. That being said, Duster was not mentioned when Ness and Lucas we're being shown.

Zelgius, the Black Knight - Should he become playable, he is quite likely to be an Echo Fighter of Ike, and just like Smash 5 Ike sporting outfits from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, Zelgius would sport two versions of himself. Ones as Zelgius (RD) and ones as the Black Knight (PoR & RD). This might be spoiler territory for some people, but when has Smash Bros ever been considerate about spoilers.

Lloyd Irving - I've never played Tales of Symphonia so I can't really give a proper assessment on him.

K.K. Slider - In all honesty, I'm not sure. Though I would be curious to see what would happen on the Smashville stage on Saturday evenings if K.K. Slider was playable. (Insert Alfonzo meme here)

Toad - A bit of a tough one to assess. I remember that back in Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA) his ability to jump was lackluster. However, out of the four playable characters he was the fastest runner.

Viridi - she would likely be an echo of Palutena, despite the very noticeable height difference between her and Palutena.

Monster Hunter - We got a stage and an assist trophy representing the Monster Hunter series. Now we just need the fighter.

Geno - I believe this character is in high demand and I certainly hope for his inclusion as playable character.

Takamaru - I can't seem to find it right now, but I believe Sakurai wanted him to be playable back in Smash 4, but due to something I can't really recall right now he was relegated as an assist trophy. Perhaps in Smash 5 he'll have his chance.

Ashley - back in Smash 4 she was not only a costume for the Mii Sword Fighter, she was also assist trophy (like Takamaru). It would be nice to get another WarioWare representative as playable. In fighting game terms I imagine her to be a zoner, keeping her opponents at a distance with her magic.

Gilgamesh - No, not Final Fantasy V. This Gilgamesh is from Bandai Namco's Tower of Druaga. That being said, I am not familiar with this game so no proper assessment here.

Miles "Tails" Prower - A nice possibility. Perhaps if he get some of his moves from the GBA title Sonic Battle, he could be a pretty interesting main cast character.
