Another redraw, but I went with a screencap from the cartoon this time. Partly cuz I've been meaning to do some from the cartoon anyway, & partly because I wanted to draw Jacques, lol. I tried to give it a grainy texture to look a bit more like the screencap too.

To whoever requested Jacques, I'm so sorry that this is the end result - I had a brain blast and this just kind happened. Staying up until 4 a.m. was totally worth it (even though I was rushing to the finish line, but the hyperfocus sleeps for no one). You cannot tell me this isn't canon. Maybe I'll revisit this i dunno.

Reposting these from my instagram, which is @red.flare.art (I’m way more active on my instagram if you wanna keep up with my shenanigans) I bought some paint pens and art tiles to try out, & I created these pieces. The Pokemon ones came out glossy, which I wasn’t a fan of, but after I sprayed them with some matte sealer, it actually looked a lot better. I need to frame them like I did with the Beetlejuice ones. The Pokemon ones were done with some fluorescent paint pens I got at Michaels, & the Beetlejuice ones were done with some glittery paint pens I got off Amazon.

“Falling In Loathe: How Beetlejuice and Lydia Met,” a Halloween origin story.

A fanfic from my other Ship.

Summary:

In her first week after moving to Peaceful Pines, 12-year-old Lydia Deetz has already incurred the wrath of new class-mate Claire Brewster, and some weirdo in the cemetery dressed as a ghost.

Four days until Halloween, and Beetlejuice has been bested, for the first time in his death, by a 12-year-old brat in black.

Beetlejuice and Lydia are determined take the other one down. They could never be friends! Never.....

Notes:

This is set in the Cartoonverse, but has many characters and elements from the Movieverse

My Beetlejuice is inspired by how he is in the animated series' first season, when he was a true poltergeist and potentially dangerous (i.e. blowing his cool in “Poopsie”), not how he is in later seasons, when he was just goofy and gross, and often a cowardly victim. There's also some influence from his movie version.
