Coricopat (Nolan Frederick) and Victoria (Jacquie Harman) practising the pas de deux in London 1983 - back in the day when that was part of Coricopat’s role, not Admetus’ (or Alonzo’s, or Tumble’s, or Pouncival’s, or Plato’s).
One-handed only - but she’s taking some of her own weight with the legs curved around his back! What gorgeous lines.

Here is another souvenir brochure from my CATS merchandise and related items collection, this time one from December 1988. A large part of this brochure is photos of the Original London Cast, but I did not include any for reasons you will eventually see (hint, hint).
It is interesting to see the cast change from the May 1988 programme I own, as some new individuals are here that were present through 1989 and onwards.
Perhaps most notable regarding this brochure is that Aeva May was Demeter at the time and there are a few photos of her in it.
However, I think my favourite part of this item, and one of the main reasons I purchased it, is that three people who played Victoria at some point are in the cast list! Cherida Langford (Zizi Strallen's mother) would have been the main Victoria at this time (as an aside, Summer Strallen, Zizi's father played Admetus here. Him and Cherida met performing in CATS), Jacqui Harman (who played Victoria from 1982 to 1985) would be a swing here, and Amanda Courtney-Davies (Victoria in 1989 and 1990) would have played Tantomile here. I love that about this item!
Geoffrey Garratt (1998 Skimbleshanks) is also present in the cast list, as he was a swing at this time.
Needless to say, this is an item that I am glad to own!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas...
The cast of Cats in London, either 1987 or 1989. Cast below the cut.
I’ve seen this dated 1987, and some of the cast seem more like 1987 than 1989; but then, it’s also part of this compilation, which is dated 1989. Neither of these is conclusive, though, since it’s possible that some of the earlier cast returned for a special event, or, on the other hand, that it was filmed earlier then included in that collection anyway.
So far, this is the cast list as I can guess it:
Bill Bailey: Adrian Edmeades Bomba: Jacqui Harman Bustopher: Christopher Molloy Carbuckety: Japheth Myers Coricopat: Hilton Jones Demeter: Aeva May Deuteronomy: Michael Sanderson Electra: Jackie Crawford Etcetera: Marsha Bland George: Steven Wayne Greycat/NBQ: Diane Manou Grizabella: Sharon Benson Jellylorum: Ann Woodfield Jemima: Ruthie Henshall Jennyanydots: Judith Street Mungojerrie: Scott Sherrin Munkustrap: Sandy Strallen Rumpelteazer: Anna Jane Casey Rum Tum Tugger: Richard Lloyd-King Skimbleshanks: Adam Matalon Tabbygirl: Cathy Cordez Tantomile: Amanda Courtney-Davies Victoria: Cherida Langford
Swings present: Greycat/NBQ (kitten, like a silvery version of Exotica), Tabbygirl (queen, gloves instead of armwarmers, lying behind Deme and Bomba in the hammock)
Missing: Mistoffelees, Admetus/Macavity, Gus (obviously, since Bustopher is there), Victor

2019 BAFTA Film Awards: Full List of Winners
"Roma" and "The Favourite" won big at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards on Sunday. "Roma," Alfonso Cuarón's Spanish language black-and-white Netflix film, took home some of the biggest prizes, snagging best film, best film not in the English language, best director and best cinematography. "The Favourite," starring Olivia Colman as Queen Anne, entered the event with 12 nominations and went home with seven awards. Other award show favorites, however, got snubbed. "A Star is Born" got seven nods, including Bradley Cooper for best actor, best director and Lady Gaga for best actress, but walked away with just one award, for original music. "Bohemian Rhapsody," the biopic about Freddie Mercury and British rock band Queen, also received seven nominations, despite controversy surrounding the film's original director.
