Since I’m sad that otome games don’t have English dubs when they get realeased in the west, I’ve decided to do English fan casts to alleviate the pain. (I get that they’re a niche genre, but let me have this)

Code Realize, Hakuoki, and Amnesia will have the same voice actors from their English dubs. One of the exception is Toma, since his voice actor is unfortunately dead. I would replace Toma’s voice actor with Mike Haimoto. Another exception is Sanosuke Harada’s voice actor since he’s been blacklisted and arrested due to grooming a 16 year old and marrying her in 2014. He’s already been replaced by Phil Hayes in the Hakuoki movies, so he’ll stay.

I’m not doing Collar X Malice at the moment since it’s getting a movie adaptation this year, and (hopefully) it will inevitably get an English dub. If it doesn’t, then I’ll do it on the future. 

The heroines are all voiced in English as well because I say so lol.

Thoughts on the dub?

Honestly? Better than I expected. I tried to temper my expectations—not because I hate dubs or have zero faith in them, but because I feel the voice acting in NatsuYuu is critical in making the emotional bits land. And it's not so much as replicating the voice actors as it is just doing a natural-sounding delivery.

I think overall, the dub did a good job at achieving that. There were several moments when it felt stiff or heavy handed, but the voice acting sounded natural when it needed to be, so I can appreciate that.

Christopher Wehkamp's Nyanko-sensei or Master Kitty Cat as the dub seems to be calling him was my favorite performance. I can tell Wehkamp had fun voicing him, and the role really showcases his range.

The weakest performance from the episode, I think, was by Jennifer AuBuchon as Touko. I feel bad saying that because I've been told she was very excited about the role! So I'm rooting for her to get better as time passes since it's not the sound of her voice that's not working for me.

Alexis Tipton did wonderfully as Reiko so I'm excited to hear more of her during future episodes.

As for Adam Gibbs as Natsume... I was honestly really worried about his performance! After the dub was announced I hunted down clips of his other roles to give me an idea of what he could sound like as my dearest boy, and the clips I heard sounded pretty stiff,,, His voice was a lot lower than I had expected for Natsume, but he had this like whisper-ish quality which I thought was reminiscent of how Natsume sounded in the Japanese. I suspect that's one reason why he might've gotten cast. At the time, I remember thinking, "oh god I hope the ADR director pulls through," but Gibbs' Natsume sounded natural for the most part, so I'd say she did! Thank you Jad Saxton.

And shoutout to Alexis Tipton, who did a wonderful job as Reiko. I'm looking forward to hearing more of her during future episodes.

this is Nyanko the cat! ^^ she's based off a very special internet historical being that if you recognize- good job! ^^ it kinda started as a joke but now i really like the idea of having her as a character xD so even if it seems silly or like cringe, I hope everyone enjoys her! :D

⭐Personality:

With a cheerful but naive personality, Nyanko is highly impulsive, acting on every idea that she comes up with, with a tendency to drag people around her into her plans. Bringing smiles and helping those in need is her absolute! She can be a little sensitive to rejection and disapproval- but gives it her all to get rid of those negative feelings and to always stay positive!  Even against the baddest of foes, she'll try to find more pacifist ways to resolve a situation, unless it's a super bad and they hurt her friends- then their in for quite the fight!

⭐Extra: - Like how Sonic can sometimes leave behind a blue light trail when he runs, when Nyanko skates really fast there's a chance she can leave a faint rainbow light trail!

- She's sort of like the sonic in her world? That is to say- yes! She is from another world! - In her world they have these things called the 'Prism Shards'- so like the Chaos Emeralds, and in a similar fashion she can use them to power up- but instead of becoming gold she turns white. -(I haven't really thought of the world building too much but that'll come later!)

REVIEW | "Tomo-chan Is a Girl!" | B3 - Boston Bastard Brigade

What if you fell in love with your best friend? At first, knowing that the person you’re smitten with shares much in common with you would be great. But then, that awkwardness happens. Does your best friend share the same feelings? If not, would revealing that you like-liked them ruin your pitch-perfect friendship? Tomo-chan Is a Girl!presents these conundrums in a comedy that’s as charming as it is laugh-out-loud funny.

Based on Fumita Yanagida’s manga, Tomo-chan Is a Girl! follows the titular tomboy character (Rie Takahashi/Lexi Nieto), who finds herself in love with her childhood bestie Junichiro (Kaito Ishikawa/Ricco Fajardo). However, Tomo fears that Junichiro only sees her as a friend, making her feelings tougher to present. Even telling him that she likes him results in Junichiro responding in friendship than romance, meaning that he’s either very dense or…perhaps something else.

Thankfully, Tomo’s got some good friends in her corner. From the cunning-yet-heartfelt Misuzu (Rina Hidaka/Jad Saxton) to the British transfer student Carol (Sally Amaki), Tomo gets plenty of pointers from her more feminine brethren. That’s not to say Misuzu and Carol do this out of the good of their hearts; they need some entertainment, too! As such, they use every opportunity to both teach Tomo while also making her their play thing.

Although Tomo has a more boyish look, she tries her best to show off a ladylike personality. But no matter what she may attempt, be it wearing a skirt without shorts or trying makeup & a wig, the blushy reactions from Junichiro make their hangouts even more awkward. Much of Tomo-chan Is a Girl! focuses on the trials and errors of these two friends trying to figure out each other’s feelings, even if it’s obvious that both share some sort of love for one another.

tbh it took me a long time to finally settle on a voice claim because I kept switching, but I've finally settled on these two

Akina - soft, cute, feminine. Voiced by Jad Saxton, with a voice similar to Konoha from Gamers or Sena from Haganai

Keiko - similar to Akina but a little 'tougher' voiced by Laura Bailey, with a voice similar to Keiko from Yu Yu Hakusho (no this wasnt on purpose lol)

Also I'd like to think Kara Edwards (kid Goten) would voice them both when they're young and then change when they're older. :)

7. what is the thing your oc likes the most about themselves?

Akina - that she sees the good in people

Keiko - that she's very caring and sentimental

17. how does your OC feel about their siblings?

Keiko and Akina are each other's best friends :)

They drive each other crazy sometimes and both have their own friend groups, but at the end of the day theyre inseparable most of the time. Plus they have that twin telepathy thing
