Chapter 8 of Yugioh GX: Rewrite!

Some wacky adventures in Duel Academy. Aka Celina regrets coming in this school.

Chazz was currently packing all of his things in a suitcase. His clothes, his money, his phone and his annoying deck with his annoying duel spirits trying to cheer him on and they even tried to steal from Chancellor Sheppard, but he didn’t care at this point. He waved his hand and looked at the Dark Scorpions, “Look I know you are trying to cheer me up, but please leave me alone.”

Don Zaloog tried to protest, but knew nothing would change his mind. He looked at the rest of the Dark Scorpions with a saddened face, and they knew what that meant. They disappeared from Chazz’s eyes.

Truth be told, Chazz always could see them and talk to them and when he told other kids and even his brothers, they thought he was crazy and called him an idiot. Monsters aren’t real they said, and that was when they started treating them like dirt.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

He looked at his Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba poster he had on his walls, the two people he respects most in the world. The people that were the only reason why he even duels. He sighed as he took the posters off the walls and into his suitcase.

He looked all over his room, well used to be his room, and took a deep breath as he went to his doorknob, pulled the door and exited the Obelisk Blue dorm, Chazz took his phone out and called for a boat to a different Academy. The closest would do, but he wouldn’t care which one.

“Goodbye, Duel Academy.” thought Chazz as he went to the docks, also hearing a monkey? He didn’t care about that as the boat arrived, and then he left Duel Academy.

Tomorrow

Jaden and Celina were currently in Professor Marco’s Duel Linguistics class, and it was BORING for both of them, but only Jaden wanted to show how boring it is by sleeping it. Celina was bored too, but she didn’t want to fail his class.

“Okay, so I have to know the difference between If and When in the card names. Okay seems simple enoug-” Celina’s thought process was ruined when Syrus opened the doors running towards the sleeping Slifer Red.

“Jaden this is awful!” Syrus woke up Jaden, catching his attention, “Chazz is missing! We need to find him!”

“And that’s awful how?” asked Jaden.

“Yeah, how is that awful?” asked Celina, “Isn’t that good news?”

Syrus thought for a minute before looking at them, “Well isn’t he supposed to be your duel rival?”

“Nah, I have Jaden on that.” answered Celina as she looked at Jaden, but he was shocked at the truth.

Jaden jumped out of his seat, causing a scene, “That’s right! We need to get him back, right Celina? Celina?” but to his dismay, she was on her seat paying attention, “Are you going or what?”

“No, he is a prick, also I thought we were duel rivals?” said Celina, a bit offended that Jaden would call a jerk like Chazz a rival, rather than a friend.

“What, I can’t have more than one duel rival?” Jaden asked as then Bastion, Zane, a North Academy student and a guy in a gray suit somewhere in Domino City then sneezed, “Besides, what Sy said was true, I can’t do that to my rival so let’s go!”

“Sorry, but no thank you.” said Celina as she sat on her seat, but then a lightbulb went up inside of his head.

“If you don’t come, I won’t duel you.” And that was all that it took to make Celina go with them. They walked towards the door of the classroom until Marco looked at them.

“And where do you think you are going?” Marco asked as all of them got stiff as a rock. “Crap, we forgot we were in a classroom!”

“Ahh, you see, Professor,” started off Syrus as he looked at Jaden, “Me and Jay were going to the bathroom because…”

“Sy has diarrhea.” stated Jaden and it took all of him and his indigo haired friend not to burst out laughing.

“Because I have diarrhe- What.” Syrus glared at Jaden, who had a cheeky grin on his face. He sighed, “Yes, because I have diarrhea.” He rubbed his cheeks as he can’t believe that was the reason why they would leave.

Marco nodded, “Alright, I will excuse you two, just notify me before you go, understand?” Both the Slifers nodded, “Good, now what is your reason, Ms Boyle?”

Celina quickly answered, “That time of the month.”

“I understand then, take your time, just return to class after you are done, okay?” Celina nodded, “Alright then, you three are excused.” Said Professor Marco as he continued his lecture. Alexis and her two Obelisk Blue looked at the door and then each other. Yep they have followed each other.

The entire class was then shaken when they heard laughter as soon as the door was closed. Most likely from Jaden and Celina.

A while later

Jaden and Celina were nearly done laughing as they exited Duel Academy with tears in their eyes from too much laughter. “I am sorry, Sy! I couldn’t help myself!”

Syrus didn’t say anything as he continued walking as they heard three figures behind them, “You know, if you continue like that, the entire school is gonna hear you.” all of them turned, only to see Alexis and her two friends behind her, Jasmine and Mindy.

“Oh, hello, Alexis, why are you outside and how did you get out?” asked Celina.

“Same excuse that you used,” all of them ‘ahh’ed, “And because while Chazz is a jerk a lot of the time, he is still an Obelisk, and we can’t let that slide.”

“And because he is hot!” stated Mindy with Jasmine nodding to that.

Alexis sighed, of course they would focus on that rather than actually help an Obelisk. “Do you need help with finding him?”

Jaden grinned, “Sure, Lex! The more the merrier!”

“Why not?” said Syrus.

“I don’t mind.” said Celina

A while later

The three Slifer Reds and Obelisk Blues continued searching for Chazz. They looked for them, tried using bait, tried using fried shrimp on a box like they would catch a skunk in an old cartoon, they even tried yelling “Chazz!”, which was their way right now to get his attention.

“Chazz!”

“Come here, Chazz!”

“Get here, Chazz!”

“Come out wherever you are, Chazzarino!” yelled Syrus, Jasmine, Mindy and Jaden and then everyone looked at Jaden like he grew two more heads. “What?”

Celina took a deep breath, “Chazz, come out! Come on! Stop hiding, you no-good, money-hogging, card loving, big headed, egocentric, short tempered, Ojama humping, butt munching asshole!” Everyone then looked at Celina, “What? Better than nothing.”

Alexis put her hands on her hips, “You know what? I am tired of this!” she took a deep breath and then, “CHAZZ COME OUT YOU LITTLE BEEP OR I SWEAR ON GOD IF YOU DON’T, PRAY THAT WE DON’T FIND YOU!”

“Wow, and I thought I had a temper.” muttered Celina as they heard a rustle in the bush, straightforward of them.

“Hey did any of you hear that?” asked Mindy.

“Yeah, I heard that too.” admitted Jasmine.

“Kinda sounds like an animal,” said Syrus.

“Huh, I wonder what is tha-” then from the bushes came out a monkey! That also wore metal parts that looked like armour? They didn’t pay attention to that as the monkey went towards them, “HOLY KURIBOHS!”

The monkey then tackled all of them at the same time, creating a small comical sized dust cloud that covered all of them at the same time. From it, there were punching and kicking sounds.

“Ahh, someone kicked me in the knees!”

“Sorry!”

Someone then punched someone in the face, “Oww! My face!”

“Sorry!”

After a minute or so of whatever that happened, the monkey then grabbed Jasmine! The monkey then began running away when it heard, scientists!? And one of them held a gun! What is this school!?

“Shoot Wheeler, now!” commanded the leader, who looked like the same size as Syrus, who actually looked like a monkey. The man had a long black beard and long black hair. He wore square glasses.

“Don’t worry!” yelled the scientist that had a gun in his hands, “I will get that banana munching, knuckle dragging, trash swinging, feces throwing, ugly frickin’ SON OF A-”

“Just shut up and shoot it, you idiot!” The scientist then aimed the gun at the monkey, but couldn’t do it as the monkey ran towards a cliff with a tree on the very edge. The scientists then ran after the monkey.

The group that were getting their butt handed to them by the monkey finally got the idea that they should run after the monkey. All of them got up, but Celina was the only one who voiced her opinions, “Okay. Am I high, or did I just see a monkey wearing a duel disk with armour that got Jasmine?”

“No, you aren’t. That was reality.” said Syrus as Celina was reevaluating her life choices of going to this school.

Begrudgingly they went to the monkey, who was holding Jasmine hostage. The scientists try to shoot the monkey, but couldn’t do it since they would be shooting the girl. Jaden looked very closely and saw that the monkey had something.

“Hey guys look at what the monkey is wearing!” Jaden pointed at the wrist of the monkey and Celina’s brain short circuited, “A duel disk! Either that or a very funny looking banana.”

“Jaden, what is wrong with you?” asked Mindy of all people.

“Nothing, why? But I do have a plan!” Jaden walked in as Celina was feeling brain death.

“Jaden, please don’t tell me you are gonna duel that monkey.”

Jaden didn’t say anything, he merely walked towards the monkey, a duel disk in his wrist. The scientists looked at Jaden, “Wait you are gonna duel Wheeler? This might be great for hi- where are you going, girl?”

Everyone turned to see Celina leaving, “I am not seeing Jaden duel a FUCKING MONKEY that is the same name as Joey Wheeler! I absolutely REFUSE to see that stupid duel! Good Luck! I am going back to class!”

And so, Celina walked to Duel Academy, hearing explosions on the way and monkey screeching, now named Wheeler, with a face that just spoke “Do not talk to me, I am in a bad mood.”

She walked into Professor Marco’s class, apologized for being late and sat on her seat. “Seto Kaiba, what is wrong with your school?”

Nighttime

“Man, Professor Banner knows how to cook.” Celina stretched as she finished dinner made by Banner himself and exited the dining area of the Slifer Red dorm. It was night time, and she decided to rest in the dining area after the incident with the monkey, by either play testing her hand or fixing her deck.

As soon as she stepped on the stairs, she saw a certain brunette and bluenette, and then she realized how they explained that one to Chumley of why they were late. “Hey, wait a sec! We gotta explain what happened!” yelled Jaden, trying to wake up every other Slifer there.

She waited for them for about a minute as they showed up, close to her dorm room. She sighed, “Okay, what happened after I left?” She asks with caution.

“Oh nothing much, just a helmet that reads the monkey’s mind!” said Syrus, and Celina regretted even asking that question.

“Yeah, and the fact the monkey, Wheeler, had a family and Banner swooped in and saved the day!” said Jaden enthusiastically as punched the air.

Celina rubbed her forehead in frustration, these guys are gonna give her a migraine one day. “Okay, what about Chazz? You know, the whole reason why we even left class in the first place?”

Jaden bit his lip, he sorta forgot to notify her after hearing that, “Oh…that. He left Duel Academy as he used his family’s yacht.”

Celina deadpanned. She took a deep breath and opened the door of her dorm room and closed it, without saying a word. She didn’t care at this point anymore. She needed sleep and she will get it by jumping on her bed, making her fall asleep.

A week later

It has been a week after the incident that Celina wishes she would forget for the rest of her life, and it was the final week of the first semester of her freshman year. She decided to stay like Jaden, Syrus, Chumley and Zane. Alexis and her two friends and Bastion decided to leave the island for the break and to stay with their family. The rest of the students left because they wanted to get off the island, which she wouldn’t blame them if she was honest.

To her knowledge, Jaden stayed because his parents were busy all the time and they only get breaks during the summer, since the business in Industrial Illusions was overwhelming this time of the year and his mum was with her modeling business, Syrus stayed because he wanted to stay with Jaden and his parents were fine with that as long as they got pictures and information about his well being and Chumley stayed since his dad’s hot sauce business was taking the life out his dad.

She didn’t understand why Zane stayed on the island, but for some reason around 22 o clock every night, he would walk in the forest, talk to himself about someone called Yusuke or Atticus, was that the name of Alexis’ brother, she really couldn’t remember and be disappointed whenever he didn’t find anything.

She stayed because she wanted to stay without her embarrassing family, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t communicate with them over the phone with texts or calls.

As such, she was currently on the call with Rin in her dorm room, “So yeah that’s the reason why I am staying in Duel Academy. I wanted to spend some time with friends and take a break from all of these tests.”

Rin was currently in her apartment while Yugo was in the garage fixing their motorcycle that they both use every day to either drive to work, grocery store or just driving around while the other is sitting with them, “I understand, but it would be a shame without you being there. How did uncle and auntie react to this?”

Celina shrugged, “Oh you know, my dad was an emotional wreck, my mum trying to reassure him that everything will be alright and Zuzu was, well I couldn’t tell from her grammatical and spelling errors.” She did that all in text, and explains that Zuzu was on the family computer since she was too young for a phone.

Rin chuckled, “Yeah, I kinda expected that, if I am being honest. But we will miss you.”

“Yeah, I will miss you too.” Celina sighed, but then she remembered something that happened last week, something that she swore to forget, “Do you know what happened last week? Well me and my friends were going to see where a certain prick was, instead we saw a monkey with an armour and a duel disk with several scientists trying to catch it. Also the monkey was named Wheeler.”

“...What drugs are you on?” asked Rin.

“No, I am being ser-”

“And can I have some?”

“RIN! NO! I am being serious!” said Celina as she reached for her phone, “That actually happene-” and then she heard the door of the dining room being crashed, twice. It must be the two doors that Banner put for some reason, “I am sorry to cut this short, but I heard the door crashing. See ya!” Before Rin could ask what was going on, Celina canceled the call.

She opened the door and ran towards the dining room only to see an Obelisk Blue student, with a brown mullet down to his shoulders with square glasses on the floor while Jaden and Syrus stopped the duel, Chumley stopped eating his grilled cheese sandwich and Banner looked at the down student.

The now down Obelisk looked at Banner, “Why do you guys have 2 doors?”

“I thought it would look great.” said Banner as he looked closely at the Obelisk, and realized that was one of his students, “Torrey? What are you doing here?”

“Also why do you look like you saw a ghost?” asked Celina as Torrey looked at her with a shocked expression.

“That’s because I did!” exclaims Torrey as Celina deadpanned, the Obelisk then turned around towards Banner, “We used your studies to summon a monster in real life without a duel disk. Me and my friends wanted to see if it would become true so we tried bringing Jinzo to life and he wanted 3 sacrifices! We thought he wanted cards, but he wanted much more than that. My friends were sacrificed, but then he wasn’t satisfied by that so he wa- where are you going?”

The Slifers and Banner looked at Celina going to the stairs with disbelief written all over her face, she then turned around to see them, “I am not being involved with this. I am not seeing Jinzo come here, threaten us, almost kill us because some idiots tried to summon a monster used by Joey. I still have war flashbacks with the monkey. Have a good night.”

“Huh, she did the same thing last week.” said Jaden as Syrus looked at him.

“Jay, you dueled a monkey…that spoke… and played a monkey deck. I don’t blame her.” said Syrus as both Torrey and Chumley looked at them confused, but then the power was then cut.

Celina was in her room, looking at her phone, and tried to watch a Duel Monster guide on the Red Eyes archetype, but she saw the power was out so she went to her contacts and tapped a contact that was named Lulu. And so they began a conversation.

It was normal. They talked about how Shay was doing, who was now in house arrest, how Yuto was doing, who was in a full body cast, how she was doing in Duel Academy, how Lulu was doing with her job as a vet, why she wanted to stay at Duel Academy, which now she regrets ever going here and now they were talking about the summoning of the Duel Spirits.

“And so yeah, they tried to summon Jinzo and were shocked that he was summoned.” said Celina, tired like she went through war.

Lulu looked at her phone, “Are you on drugs?”

“I am shocked that I am not on them, if I am being honest.” she looked at the ceiling and heard footprints on the steps, “I have to hear what they went through, see ya later.”

“See ya.” Lulu canceled the call as Celina got out of her room and looked at her friends.

“So, what kind of crack head thing happened this time?” she asks.

“Well, Jay had to duel Jinzo.”

“He nearly lost all of his body and soul to the duel.”

“And then he possessed Torrey!” exclaimed Chumley, Syrus and Jaden one after the other, while Celina took a deep breath. How is this possible? “But don’t worry! He and his friends were saved by me of course!”

Celina looked at the cliff and thought about jumping from it, this is too much. What is wrong with this school? She needs something to cool her off and then it hit her. “You know what? How about we have a deal? You don’t talk about anything that happened today and last week and you get to watch Demon Slayer: Mugen Train with me? Is that good?”

Jaden beamed at the sound of that, while the two others were fine with that, it was a good movie, but for Jaden, he could feel himself something in Kyojuro. He couldn’t put his finger where, but he just wanted to watch it. “Sure! No more of those memories! Come on, let's go!”

Both the Slifers shrugged their shoulders and they went in, they couldn’t wait to watch Rengoku die for the 5th time.

Meanwhile at the abandoned dorm

“Come on. There has to be something here.” said Zane as he went through the same place that Titan and Jaden dueled. He looked over the right side while Honest looked over the left side of the cave.

While yes, the only thing that they found from either Atticus or Yusuke was Honest and a picture of Atticus, there was still hope for both of them.

To one of them, it was their Master, the person he swore to protect when the tragedy happened to Yusuke, the person that loved duel spirits and wanted to make friends, but the only thing keeping him back was that he was terrified of being forgotten.

But to the other was his two best friends that were irreplaceable. Both of them were like brothers to Zane, both played pranks on each other, learned their secrets and childhood, even the most embarrassing things about them and their memories put a smile on the Kaiser’s face.

No matter what happens between each other, he knew that their bond would never be broken, no matter what. Zane would be happy even if one of them were alive, but something in him wanted both of them alive.

He wants them back, and it won’t stop him from doing anything to break that concentration. He promised himself and Honest that he would bring them back, no matter what. He thought he heard a demon growling so he turned around only to see Honest looking all over the place with a confused expression.

Maybe it was lack of sleep, maybe.

He looked at the angel, “Have you seen anything yet, Honest?”

Honest shook his head, “No, I am afraid not, Zane. It appears that everywhere we look, we can’t find any traces of either Master Fujiwara or Atticus. But we must lose hope.”

Zane sighed as he looked at the duel spirit, “Who said I am giving up?” Honest had a smile on his face as he said that. It was good enough to hear that someone other than him was determined to find his Master.

He remembered all of the stories of the three Obelisks fooling around, dueling each other, trying to escape their fangirls, well Zane and his Master tried, watch movies together, talk to each other about anything in their life.

He knew how much they meant to Zane, and that made them determined to find even just one of them, or any of their traces. He tried looking at Atticus’ room, but he didn’t find anything there, most likely Duel Academy gave them to Alexis after he left.

Before he could remember Yusuke putting him in the box was a conversation with Banner about certain books and rituals, but he couldn’t remember it well. He thought he heard a demon growling, he turned around, but saw Zane still doing his searching. He shrugged his shoulders, maybe it was some hallucinations from too much paranoia.

A few weeks later

Over the course of their winter breaks, the Slifer Red gang decided to help out Dorothy by cleaning the classrooms, the gym, stocking the cards and packs on the shelf, putting the new sandwiches in the storage. The reason why they did that? Because they were bored and they wanted to help her.

Not to mention they also watched and finished the Classic story of Naruto and started Shippuden. They also played some board games, like Uno and Monopoly, and shockingly Chumley was the winner most of the time. They played games like Fall Guys, Minecraft and some fighting games like Dragon Ball Fighterz, to which, shockingly, Syrus was the king of.

They did not know that they were gods of these types of games, never in a million years.

When their friends, Alexis and Bastion, and the rest of the students arrived back on the island. The gang either gives them a pat on the back and/or gives them a handshakes and tells them how they spent their winter breaks, but Celina dragged them into the lighthouse to tell them the Jinzo incident.

Their reactions were the same as her cousins, “Are you on drugs?”

She should get used to that question whenever she tells them stories about this school.

Anyways, since it was the first week of the second semester of the school year, the staff decided to put all of the students, from freshman to senior, from Slifer to Obelisk, play a sport where everyone could participate. They decided to pick tennis for one student in senior in Blue, because his parents were rich.

Right now, Jaden and Celina are playing tennis back and forth. The ball hasn’t stopped since the game started. It was originally supposed to be Jaden and Chumley vs Celina and Torrey, but they quickly moved as they realized that if they don’t move out of the way, the ball will destroy them.

It was going on for like 20 minutes and the ball hasn’t stopped once, both of them were on 0 - 0. The students who weren’t playing tennis, the majority of the students, were placing bets on who would win. It was a very close game, and it could go either way.

While they did dislike tennis, they couldn’t let the other one win this and their competitive spirits were off the roof. Unfortunately, Jaden accidently hit the ball towards Alexis, still not finishing the game, but was stopped by an Obelisk Blue senior that had a brown mullet.

The senior hit the ball away from Alexis, but at a cost, went towards a certain professor. “And that was the last time I got hit by a ball- OH DEAR!” Doctor Crowler was knocked out of his seat and fell flat on the floor with a ball covering right eye, mirroring the time Bastion threw the ball on him.

The students either felt sorry for him, Bastion, or are straight up laughing at him, Jaden and Celina, but Crowler quickly stood up with rage in his eyes, “OKAY! WHO THREW THAT BALL!?”

The Obelisk Blue senior raised his hand. “I know who threw that hand, Doctor Crowler! It was him, as he threw at this beautiful lady!” yelled the Obelisk as he pointed at Jaden, the students that were friends of Jaden were in shock. Sure he did throw that ball, but he didn’t mean to hit Alexis, it was an accident. Alexis then rolled her eyes, of course someone would say that.

Zane, or any other student, tried to speak up, but Crowler was louder than them, “Alright! Thank you, Harrington! I want everyone out, except Jaden! And you,” he then pointed at Celina, “You are getting 2 weeks worth of detention!”

Celina was taken aback, “What did I do?!”

“For laughing at my pain, that hurt my feelings!” Crowler heard Celina saying, “pussy.” He then looked at her again, “That’s two more weeks!”

“Damn it!” yelled Celina as she, and the rest of the students, went to the exit of the gym, leaving poor Jaden with Doctor Crowler alone.

A few hours later

Normally detention lasts an hour or two, but that was only for Banner if you get detention by him. It all depends on who gives you detention.

If it's Marco, you would get an hour and a half. Professor Stein, you would get at most 45 minutes. Fonda, you would get two hours. But the worst is Crowler, the least hours will be 4 hours if he was nice enough, but the worst one is 8 hours.

Poor Celina got the worst teacher for detention, making her wait for 4 hours. She didn’t have her PDA, her phone, her deck or even her homework. She had to sit there, doing nothing.

As soon as it was done, she ran towards how Jaden was doing, and if he was with Harrington, he would get slapped around from one side to a different side in a couple of minutes. She wished she can get a bowl of popcorn so she can see how Jaden is destroyed by a tennis match.

He is extremely clumsy if it weren’t battling a friend and that was fun to watch. As soon as she entered she saw Harrington running with tears in his eyes with an arm covering them. And then saw Alexis facepalmed with Mindy and Jasmine trying to comfort the poor Obelisk Blue while Syrus was giving Jaden a massage.

“Oh dear, something stupid happened, didn’t it?” Celina thought as she approached, “What happened this time?” she asked as Mindy and Jasmine looked at each other and then Alexis.

“Lex, why don’t you tell her?”

“You can do it, Lex.” said both Jasmine and Mindy.

“Something happened.” thought Celina as Alexis looked at the only female Slifer Red in the eyes and then at Jaden, “Jaden, what do you think is a fiancee?”

Celina’s jaw dropped bigger than Greece’s GDP as she looked at Jaden who looked at both of them. He just smiles, “A friend! Like Syrus, Bastion, you and Celina. Why do you ask? You explained it to me.”

Alexis looked at Celina, to which she fell anime-style so hard that it made a dent on the floor. Safe to say, she needed to go to Fonda’s office for this while muttering “you idiot.”

At night

Zane looked at the night sky at the lighthouse, with Honest joining in, looking at it. It was nice to relax after a month of searching in the abandoned dorm. All that they could find was a card of Red Eyes Black Chick, but that was it.

Nothing more. Nothing less. But it was better than nothing, they supposed.

And then they heard footsteps coming closer, he looked at the figure by the corner of his eye and he saw Alexis with a disappointed face. He knew something bad happened to Jaden, as he knew that she was getting closer towards the Slifer.

He glanced at her, “Did something happen to Jaden?”

Alexis leaned on the lighthouse with the same face she wore when she came here and looked at The Kaiser, “Yes, something did happen. Jaden dueled your classmate,” Zane sighed, he knew it was Harrington, “and the winner would get me as their fiancee.”

Zane pinched his nose while Honest looked at her in disbelief. Humans could do arranged marriages during duels. He knew that they could do it with money and a contract, but with a card game?! “And then what happened? Please tell me he won.”

“Oh he did, that part didn't made me mad.” He looked at her confused, “After the duel, he went towards me and looked me in the eyes, and asked “So what does fiancee mean, any how?” I wish I was kidding.”

She looked at Zane and he facepalmed so hard, his hand was visible on his face, and she thought she heard something else facepalmed, must be her imagination.

The Next Week

The rumors. There were several rumors about this Giant, that duels students, more specifically Obelisk Blue students, that wore a coat made out of the jackets of the defeated Obelisk Blues, using the ante rule which was banned in Duel Academy.

Ante Duels are duels where the two, or more, opponents wager their cards, or even their entire decks, if they lost the duel. The reason why it was banned cause it promoted gambling and Seto didn’t want to remind himself of his loss against Yugi in the semifinals.

The rumors began after one Obelisk lost to him, but then soon after only a few days, the rumor began spreading like wildfire. Obelisks left to right, dropping like flies. And they couldn’t catch him, he dueled in the night and was bigger than a house.

It also made Obelisk’s look like jerks that can’t hold a deck properly and got in because of their parents, which were partially true. And Doctor Crowler did not like that, not one bit.

Celina was walking with her friends after school, the classes were finally done and she can relax in detention, but unfortunately she had a horrible start to this. First of all she woke up after Jaden, which he wakes up almost 5 minutes before the class starts, so she had to go up fast.

When she tried to clean her teeth with her toothbrush, there was no toothpaste so her breath would stink worse than Chazz’s Obelisk Blue jacket.

On top of all of that, Obelisks decided to make her day worse, by placing water buckets on the door, giving her fake gum that electrocuted her when she tried to take the piece of gum, took her seat when she tried to sit and she fell, almost stealing her deck and so much more.

Jaden tried to calm her down by saying they will watch the Entertainment District Arc, and that the others will bring snacks. So she calmed down.

She went to the group of 4 Obelisk Blue students and tried being friendly with them, “Hey, guys. What’s up?”

The group looked at her, and then she remembered that they were the ones making her day worse, “Oh, look it’s the Slifer Slackers!”

And then like a branch, she snapped, “What! You wanna say that again?!” she yelled out making everyone take a step back, “You wanna repeat that!? You BEEPing prick! Huh!? You wanna BEEPing start something?! Come on! Let’s go! Four on four! RED VERSUS BLUE! No camp kills, I will FUCK you up!”

The Obelisks looked at each other, maybe it wasn’t a good idea to make her angry of all people. One of them stepped out, “Ju-just calm down.”

“SHUT THE BEEP UP, TED!” Celina threw hand out to the student, “WE are all pumped! We are all fucking ready! Let’s go!” The Obelisks decided that they would rather run in the halls and away from her to be the safest option to be away from her, but that won’t stop her. Nothing will, “YOU ARE NOT ESCAPING AWAY FROM ME!” she ran after them.

What did her friends do to stop them? Nothing. They did not want to face her wrath. Smart choice.

But the indigo haired duelist was unlucky as Crowler saw her chasing the scared Obelisks. He grabbed her shoulder, “Do I hear another 2 weeks of detention with 8 hours!? Cause I do! Two extra weeks!” He then pushed her towards the same room for the students that had to go to detention, she groaned.

8 hours later

After the most agonizing 8 hours of her life, she thought on how did he get a teaching license. The man hates kids and punishes the wrong people. Sometimes she thinks that he bribed the school to let him work there. Won’t be a shocker if she was honest.

She exited the building to see Jaden, Syrus and Chumley hiding behind the statues that resemble that of Obelisk The Tormentor. She sighed, “I’ll bite, what are you guys doing now?”

“Oh we are trying to catch the Duel Giant, well Jay is.”

“He wants me to challenge him to a game of checkers.”

“And then I come from nowhere and duel him!” said Syrus, Chumley and Jaden. This was way more tame than before, but this does beg the question.

“I don’t think the Duel Giant plays checkers.” Celina said as then they heard someone yelling in pain, but it was most likely from a duel.

“Hey, where are you going, Celina?” the brunette asked as he almost began running.

“I am going to be straight with you, this is most likely a duel from an Obelisk and due to my shitty day with them, for all I know, let them suffer. Have a good night.” Celina said as she began walking off, while hearing the rest trying to stop her, but to no avail.

It only took her a couple of minutes to come to her room, she got dressed and landed on her bed. Dreaming about beating those Obelisks that annoyed her the entire day.

The Next Day

Celina heard that the Duel Giant was defeated in a duel and returned to their respective owners and some Obelisk Blue were now nicer than before when they got their reality checked, but the Giant was never revealed.

Which explains why Jaden and Syrus were doing their homework in blazing speed that every second they were doing it, they started a new one, in her detention time. Chumley was here for moral support.

Crowler was going from left to right, with an angry expression on his face, “So let me guess this straight. Not only did you beat the Duel Giant, without the Ante duel rule, which the other Obelisk Blues did, but you let him escape?!”

“Did I say escape, more like he ran to a giant peastock and hid there.” said the brunette as he continued writing his homework.

“Alright, if that was true, then how did the cards return to the duelists without them noticing?” asked Crowler.

“Maybe they magically appeared after he left Duel Academy.”

Celina turned towards Chumley, “Okay, so what really happened?”

“Well, Jaden found the Duel Giant, wagered his Winged Kuriboh, summoned Rampart Blaster to take off the cloak, revealed two Ra Yellows, Brier and Beauregard, he defeated them and left them go after they explained how much they meant to each other.” explained Chumley as he and Celina looked at the two Slifers who continued writing their homework.

Celina nodded, “Alright, shockingly one of the more normal moments in this year.” Both of them nodded to that.

The Next Week

It was currently break time at Duel Academy, so they had around 20 minutes to relax before class started again, so Celina decided to get a sandwich in the cafeteria, hoping to get the Golden Eggwich.

You see, every week in Duel Academy, a Monday or a Wednesday, there are wrapped sandwiches in which they had different food in them and they can either be good, delicious or absolutely disgusting.

Some flavours include: strawberry, fish butt, pizza, grilled tongue, ostrich eggs, grilled rock, steam dust, actual meat, salad, Crowler’s toenails, buns inside of the buns, tomatoes and so much more. Last week, she pulled a sandwich OUT of a sandwich. She couldn’t really describe what it tasted like.

But there is a type of sandwich that is the top of the group, a Golden Eggwich. It only happens once a week when a roster, not a chicken, lays a golden egg and they use it not to sell it and gain profit, but to make it into a sandwich, which were mouth watering good.

There is one downside though, you can only pull one sandwich a week so if you get one disgusting flavour, that’s what you get to eat until next week so everyone either has to be really lucky or be careful to pick one.

And today she felt lucky, so she took one sandwich, took off the wrapper and took a bite. She chewed it and it was good, but not an Eggwich, it was more like beef than anything, but she couldn’t complain. It was really good so she continued eating the sandwich.

Celina then heard the magnet of trouble and his sidekick, Jaden and Syrus, came running in. “Come on, Sy. I can’t be late for today and it is sandwich day! I hope to get the Golden Eggwich!” he then looked at Celina, “Hey, what did you get?”

Celina swallowed what she was eating, “Oh, beef. Not bad, it’s actually pretty good.”

Jaden nodded his head, “Okay, that means I have a better chance to get the Eggwich!” he took off the wrapper and took a bite, “And here it comes…Uh.”

“Is something wrong, Jay?” asked Syrus as he looked at his friends.

“It can’t be that bad. Can it?” asked Celina

Jaden looked at the other Slifers with tears in his eyes, “I got sardines!” he fell down, trying his best not to puke. They knew how much he hated fish, that was pretty much the only things he would not eat. And he ate styrofoam.

“Don’t worry, Jaden, you can always give it to Pharaoh.” said Celina, but Syrus looked at her.

“You would use it to catch him, wouldn’t you?” Celina turned to see the very interesting wall while eating her sandwich, rather than to answer Syrus’ question.

“Better to get a bad draw here rather than in dueling, am I right?” asked Alexis as she walked in with two sandwiches in her hand, one of them must be from one of her fanboys, Harrington most likely.

“Alexis?” Jaden looked at her and noticed that she held two sandwiches in her hands, “Oh I get it. One of them must be the Eggwich so you can have lunch with me, huh?” he halved-jokes, meanwhile Celina did a spit take, only in a food form aka she almost choked on her food.

“How could he say that!?” Celina thought as for some reason she was…envy? No, it must be from the shock from the question. She turned around to see Syrus with a shocked expression, the other students' jaw dropped and Alexis blushed. “Wait, blushed?!”

“No, I did not! I was trying to practice my draws!” argued back Alexis.

“Sure you were.”

“I was!”

Dorothy came from the counter of the Card Shop to defend the poor Obelisk Girl, “She is telling the truth, Jaden. No one has drew an Eggwich for weeks now.”

“Weeks? How is that possible?” asked Celina, but Jaden already had a plan.

“I have a plan!” yelled out Jaden, in the Card Shop, catching everyone’s attention. “How about we wait until night to see what happens with the Eggwich, so when we see what happens we can report it to Sheppard?”

“Great idea, Jay!” agreed Syrus with Dorothy and Alexis joining on the idea as well, and then they looked at Celina who threw the wrapper in the trash.

“Hmm?” she turned her head towards everyone, “Oh sorry, I can’t join. Would have like to, I am being honest, but detention.” Everyone ‘ahh’ed at that, understanding what she meant by that.

The school bell rang, meaning break time was finished and they had to go to the classroom. So they went in towards Professor Banner’s Alchemy class, which was an excuse to see him making explosions, which backfired, a lot.

A Few Hours Later

After the classes were finished, Celina decided to see what was happening in the Card Shop and if they have made any progress whatsoever. She opened the door and walked in, “Hey, guys sorry I am late, but I want to see what are you guys doing right now and I didn’t mean to distur…”

What standing there was something way more shockingly she could imagine. The man had no shirt, no shoes, but thankfully he did have some pants on. He had long brown hair that reached to his butt and had gray eyes. She also saw just how muscular this man is, he must go to the gym at least 5 times a week.

And what did the man do exactly? Open a metal door, that was shut closed, get to the place where there were wrapped sandwiches. When he saw her, the door that was on the other side of the Card Shop was opened revealing everyone trying to stop this man, but the man was crazy enough to push the cart away so hard that it destroyed the metal door with ease and everyone went after him.

She looked at her hand, “Am…Am I on drugs?” She then looked at the clock and decided that what she really needed was sleep. “I am going back to bed.”

The Next Week

It was sandwich day, and this time she is going to get the Golden Eggwich! She was walking with Jaden, and this Obelisk Blue kid that was actually the guy that destroyed the metal door, now known as Damon.

Celina rubbed her forehead, “So let me get this straight, Damon, you are the same person that I saw last week, and because you had horrible luck drawing cards you decided to go out in the wild, train yourself to the end, practice drawing your cards and pulling Eggwiches so you could perfect drawing cards?”

“Yeah pretty much. And then Jaden beat me and I returned to Blue!” said Damon as all three of them entered the Card Shop and to the cart, “Alright, Jaden I will use your advice and believe in myself!” He took a sandwich, took off the wrapper and took a bite. He then fell down on his knees, “I got grilled rock!”

Both Celina and Jaden patted his back, but Jaden took a wrapper, “Don’t worry, Damon, I am sure you will get it next time! But this time it is my turn!” he took off the wrapper and took a bite of the sandwich. He then fell to his knees, “I got sardines again!” He cried anime style.

Celina patted both of their backs, “Don’t worry, you all will get a chance next time since I am taking this one!” She yelled out, taking a random sandwich, taking off the wrapper and taking a bite.

She then fell down on her knees, “I got steam dust!” She then hit the floor.

“Oooh, what’s this?” asked a familiar sounding voice, Bastion, as he walked in, seeing two Slifers and 1 Obelisk on the ground, they probably took the bad sandwiches, “Golden Eggwich day? I don’t see why not.” He walked towards the crate, taking a closer look at all the wrappers and saw one of them much softer than the others.

He squeezed the sandwich, and sure enough it was soft like it had a broken egg in it. He took out the wrapper and took a bite and the ones that were on the floor looked at his reaction to see what he got, but he just nodded, “My, they really are exquisite! No wonder they are worth eating!” He looked at the down students, “Sorry, but good luck on the next chance you get!”

Bastion walked off the Card Shop and the three students’ heads dropped.

The Next Week

It was only a few minutes away from the start of the day for the school, but Celina really needed to get the tickets to something very special. Tickets to see the King Of Games, Yugi Muto’s, deck!

Yugi Muto doesn’t need any introduction, not one bit, but for the two students in Duel Academy that don’t know his legacy, here you go; He started off as a lonely teenager, the only friend he ever had was his childhood friend, Tea Gardner, and they were inseparable. While he did like her company, he really didn’t like the treatment he got from his former bullies, now best friends, Joey Wheeler and Tristan Taylor. They bullied him, took his lunch money and even threw away a piece of a puzzle that his grandpa, Solomon Muto, gave him.

One day, he saw the Hall monitor, Tetsu Trudge, beating them up, and he tried defending them, even after what they did to him, and with that Joey and Tristan had a change of heart, and returned the piece of the Millenium Puzzle. One night, as he finished the puzzle, he wished for one thing. Not money, not fame, not power, but friends. Unsepearple friends that will be together forever.

And with one wish, his entire life changed, for the better. He was better at Duel Monsters, better at gaining friends, more confident and like he gained a different personality. He faced many powerful opponents such as Seto Kaiba, Maximillion Pegasus, Noah Kaiba, Yami Marik, Yami Bakura, Dartz and much more, with the help of his spirit pal, Yami Yugi.

Yugi later realized that Yami had a different name, Atem, and that he was the reincarnation of him. They dueled Bakura and Zorg for the fate of the future, and after it was all and done, he had to return Atem back to the afterlife if he won the Duel.

The Duel was tough, for both sides, with one side using monsters as the Egyptian Gods where their dorms were based on, Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl and the other used monsters like the Magnet Warriors, Buster Blader, Summoned Skull and more, but at the end, after all of that, Atem’s journey was over.

He lost to Yugi fair and square, and sent his goodbyes to all of his friends, and passed the torch to Yugi as the King Of Games.

Yugi is now the best duelist and current King Of Games, waiting for a successor to pass the legacy of the King Of Games, and it was even rumoured that he had the Egyptian Gods in his deck and had a relationship with Tea Gardner.

The story of him will never be forgotten and inspired that anyone can change history for the greater good. It showed that even a nobody like him, could be proven legendary. It showed that a silly little card game made by Pegasus can make unbreakable bonds that could never be broken.

It brings tears to many people that started off as nobodies and inspired them to be legendary.

There was no question why so many Pro Duelists, students, Chancellors and even Duelists in the Top 10 respect him. He was the King Of Games.

Celina loved seeing him and his deck duel it out against Joey, Mai, Keith, and most importantly, Seto Kaiba. Celina wanted to be just like him, to be the King, or shall we say, Queen Of Games. The images of people loving her stories of this bat shit insane Academy is giving her a smile on her face.

She walked in the Card Shop, a day after Eggwich day, and saw Dorothy and Sadie putting up a sign that said ‘A TICKET TO SEE THE KING OF GAMES’ DECK!’ She walked in, “Hey, do you guys have tickets for Yugi's deck?” she asked nicely.

Dorothy laughed, “Of course we do, sweetie! We just opened! Sadie, please give her one of the tickets.” Sadie nodded as she dug her hands into the box and gave Celina the ticket. “Here you, go.”

Celina smiled, “Thank you.” As then the bell ringed, it was the start of classes, that she was unfortunately late for, “OH CRAP!” she then started running in Professor Banner’s class, and opened the door. All eyes were on her, even from Banner, “Sorry, I was…getting a ticket for tomorrow’s viewing of Yugi’s deck.”

“Wait, that's today?!” yelled a random Ra.

All of the students, sans Jaden who was currently asleep, then started going wild, almost running towards the Card Shop, but they were stopped by Banner, “Now, now, students. I know all of you want to see his deck, but please, after the class, alright?” All of the students looked back at him and gave him a nod.

They returned to their seats as Banner gave a smile, “Thank you, now where was I?” Banner asked as he looked at his desk and saw all of the chemicals, “Oh right, combining all of the elements here could be symbolic of Duel Monsters. As such, while combining these elements,” took some glass and put liquid into different glasses, “Could create a completely different element as such.”

The liquid then started to change colour, making some students aww at the sight, but then it started shaking, almost like it was ready to explode, Banner took note of this, “Oh dear.”

BOOM!

It created a small explosion, still not making Jaden wake up, that covered bits of the classroom. Banner stood up, full of ash and almost like he went in a fight, and lost horribly. “And that’s how *cough* a combination could become real.” He then fell down.

It certainly was a start of the day, to say the least.

A School day and 8 hours later

Celina was tired, to say the least. Since it was a Friday, she had to go through Banner’s class, then two hours with Stein, Marco’s class, break time, Fonda’s PE class and two hours of Satyr’s English lessons. She did hear that Syrus did managed to beat a Ra Yellow using Crowler’s Ancient Gear Golem deck while sounding just like the doctor.

Unfortunately for her, she still had detention with Crowler, meaning 8 more hours with the teacher of Math. All she did doing that time was looking at the ticket in her hands and think all of the cards that could be in that deck like Apple Magician Girl, Lemon Magician Girl, Silent Swordsman and so much more.

When her detention was over, she walked out of the classroom and exited the Duel Academy building, she saw Jaden, Syrus and Chumley walking towards the building. She sighed, of course they want to do something, “Alright, why are you guys here?” she asked

Jaden looked at her, “Well, we want to see Yugi’s deck early, so do you want to join us?”

She looked over to see Syrus and Chumley nodding, and for once she liked one of his ideas, but sadly, she was dead tired, “Honestly, I would like to, but I am just too tired, and I need sleep. Sorry, guys.” She walked off.

“Okay, see ya later!”

“Good night!”

“Don’t let the bed bugs bite!” said Syurs, Chumley and Jaden as she went off towards the Slifer Red dorm, opened her dorm room, closed it and landed on her bed, sleeping nicely.

The Next Day

Celina woke up, and saw her clock was 10:15, not early, but not late. The exhibition doesn’t start until 11 o'clock, so she decided to shower and watch some Mob Psycho 100 clips until it was 11 o'clock.

She went outside, with her Slifer Red uniform and went out to the exhibition, but at the forest she heard some strange noises. She went to see what was happening and saw Jaden. Well not actually Jaden, first his uniform was more cleaner than usual, second his hair and uniform was darker, third his eyes gray, not that beautiful chocolate brown eyes, and finally he did not sound like he was from Brooklyn.

He was pointing his middle and index fingers at some trees, “Gotcha!...No, that's not it.” he muttered as he tried his best to make a Jaden impression.

“Okay, what the hell am I seeing?” asked Celina as the fake Jaden turned around to see her, “Why do you look like Jaden?”

“Ahh, Serena! Good to see you, pal!” the fake Jaden said as Celina got confused, “I, Judai, was looking for you with my pals Sho and Hayato! Where were you?”

“First, my name is Celina, not Serena, second, their names are Syrus and Chumley, don’t know how you messed up their names that bad, and third, who are you?” Celina looked ‘Judai’.

“Ahh, come on, Ser-Celina, how can you forget your friend Judai!” ‘Judai’ said as Celina decided that she didn’t want to lose all of her brain cells to this guy. She sighed as she went towards Duel Academy, “Where are you going?”

Celina looked at him, “To powder my nose.'' She lied as ‘Judai’ ‘ahh’ed and let her go. “Well, he did get his stupidity down to the point.” she thought as she entered Duel Academy to see the entrance of the main room where the exhibition was.

The halls and even the floor was covered by Yugi merchandise, such as posters, carpets and even plushies. She opened the door to see Yugi’s deck in a display case, and the walls were covered by Yugi posters, from his Battle City look to his current look, which made him look like Atem.

Celina looked around for a specific Slifer, but not a second later she saw him with his two buddies, Chumley and Syrus, holding a Yugi Muto poster, most likely. She walked towards him, “Hey, so why is there a guy impersonating you in the forest and keeps calling himself ‘Judai’?”

“Aww, it’s Dimitri again!”

“That is so not lischus! We need to get him to snap out of it again!”

“Dang it, Dimitri!” yelled out Syrus, Chumley and Jaden as they went out of the exhibition room and most likely Duel Academy to get Dimitri to snap out of it.

She shrugged her shoulders as she walked towards the display case and see all of the cards used by the great Yugi Muto; Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Chimera The Flying Mythical Beast, the Fruit Magician girl archetype, the Magnet Warriors, Buster Blader, Black Luster Soldier, Dark Magician of Chaos, the Gadgets, Silent Swordsman, Silent Magician, SIlent Paladin, Marshemellon and so much more. The only monsters that weren’t there were the Egyptian God cards, Obelisk The Tormentor, Slifer The Sky Dragon and Winged Dragon Of Ra.

She took her phone out of her pocket and took several pictures, to which she sent them to her family. She loved this and this deck, so a way that she could remember it is by buying a Yugi poster that had him against Seto Kaiba dueling out in a tournament. For some reason, she felt a furball watching the display case and the monsters waving at her, must be her imagination.

The Next Week

It was currently a week away from March in Duel Academy, and a few weeks away from their annual school duel with one of the four Duel Academies from different directions. One from North, West, South and East. This year, like the previous two years, the school duel will be against North Academy. It would soon be revealed to all of the students the next day, but today they had a new student.

“Everyone, please be quiet, eyes forward, Chumley stop eating with your mouth open!” said Banner, with Pharaoh in his arms, as he caught everyone’s attention in the dining area. “Today, we have a new student here, so please welcome him with open arms.”

On the side of Banner there was a small…boy? Yeah boy, wearing a gray hat, with short blue hair and caramel brown eyes. “His name was Blair Flannigan. He is a transfer student that couldn’t be here earlier due to him being sick on the entrance exams. Please, welcome your new classmates, Blair.” The boy in question looked at Banner, then at the students, as he then gave a small wave.

“Man, he dresses goofier than me, smaller than me, cuter than me, my sidekick thing is done.” Syrus said as Jaden gave a pat on the back, the one that said “Nah you are wrong, buddy.”

Jaden stood up from his seat, “Come on guys, let’s give him a warm welcome. Slifer Style!” Everyone around him shook their heads, “Alright, I will begin alone. S-L-I-F-E-Something, Slifer!” He threw his hands all over the place while the rest facepalmed, including Banner.

“Idiot.” Celina muttered as she got a good look at Blair, who was confused about this illiterate idiot. She stood up from her seat and gave a nice handshake, and got a good look on the guy and he looked slightly…girlish? “Nice to meet you.”

“Same here,” said Blair, shyly, but Jaden ran towards the new guy, “Come on! We gotta show you where your place for the next three years!”

“Now, hold on a second, Jaden. Blair won’t be a Slifer for too long, in fact he will be a Ra extremely soon because of his high grades.” Banner explained.

“Then why is he in Red?” asked Syrus as he walked up and gave a hand shake to the guy.

“Because it’s the Academy policy that any and all transfer students start of in Slifer, but they can be promoted with their high grades.” Syrus and Celina, so did the rest of the Slifers nodded, while Jaden was disappointed because he wanted to the new guy to stay in Slifer, “Now, Jaden, you don’t mind sharing the room with Blair do you?”

The reason why he couldn’t stay with Celina, was because girls, if they aren’t in Obelisk, can not share rooms with anyone other than with other girls. Jaden beamed up as he jumped into the air and grabbed Blair by his hand to the dorm, without asking either Chumley or Syrus.

“Something is off with Blair.” Celina thought as she reached for her room.

The Next Day

Classes were over, there is no more school for the day, and it’s a Friday, so why are students from all of the years and dorms still here in the classroom, other than those who have detention cough Celina cough? Well because it was a special announcement from Chancellor Sheppard.

Sheppard coughed in his hand to catch their attention, which he did when the life sized TV was on, and started off, “Hello my students. As some of you who don’t know, our annual school duel with one of the Academies from North to South, West to East is fast approaching, in fact, for 5 weeks or 1 month plus 1 week, we are going to have the school duel with North Academy for the third time in a row.”

While Sheppard was going on about North Academy and how they should study hard, Syrus wanted to share a fact with Blair, “Hey, Blair, did you know that Zane is my big brother?”

Blair was looking at Zane the whole time, but then towards Syrus, “Really?” he asked with stars in his eyes. He couldn’t imagine having THE Zane Truesdale as a big brother.

“Yep! He may have more skill than me and confidence, but I have something over him!” said Syrus as Blair, Jaden and Celina looked at him, “He NEVER beat me in a game of hide and seek! No matter how easy I made it for him.”

“How easy are we talking about, Sy?” asked Jaden.

“I had a lamp shade over my head for 2 hours while he was watching TV! He was really bad at that game.” explained Syrus with confidence in his voice.

“Kinda sounds like he was ignoring you.” said Celina as Blair nodded his head.

“Or…he couldn’t find me.”

“Oi, shut up, Sheppard is talking.” said a random Obelisk Blue student.

The group then watched Sheppard who looked at all of his students, “Now study hard my students, any one of you could represent us in the school duel.” Sheppard then logged off, the students then exited the room, all sans the group and Zane, who was looking at a certain Light Fairy monster in his hands, thinking about something.

“It’s gonna be me!” yelled both Jaden and Celina at the same time, but then they looked at each other, “What!? No way! I am gonna be the one dueling!”

Syrus wanted to diffuse the situation while Blair got nervous, “Gu-guys calm down, it’s probably gonna be Zane again.”

That made Celina stop, even though she has a lot of confidence in herself, she knew that she couldn’t defeat Zane in a million years, Jaden however, “What? What does he have that I don’t?”

“Seriously, we saw you lose to him in turn 6!” both Syrus and Celina thought at the same time while Blair actually pointed at some good points, “Well, he has more experience and overall a stronger deck.”

Jaden dropped his head in shame, that was a really good point, “Yeah, I guess.”

“And big beautiful ocean blue eyes on a shining day on hot summer days.” Blair said as all of them imagined all of that and yeah he eyes do look like that, but what does that prove anything?

“I guess?” he was confused.

“And that long flowing hair that I want to put my hands through.” said Blair, they could agree to that, his hair looks and feels soft, but again what does that prove anything? Beauty won’t give you an advantage in a duel.

“I…guess?” Okay what was happening.

“And those long strong arms to keep me warm on those cold winter nights.” Blair…moaned silently? As he imagined Zane cuddling him in a wooden house, some candles on the bed, some petals on the bed and soft music to his ears while it was snowing outside for the perfect night.

Jaden, Syrus and Celina looked at each other, he has some serious issues for him, he then looked at Blair, “....yeah.”

Syrus wanted to put an end to all of this, he didn’t want to hear all of these images of his older brother doing any of that as he remembered all of the things he did when they were little, “Trust me. Those arms are good for two things; headlocks and bodyslams.” Syrus was confident that will shut him up, but to his dismay, Blair bit his lip, thinking all of those images could make him happier.

“Oh he can slam me all he wants~.” Zane widened his eyes and he began walking away from him as far as possible, while the rest, including Jaden this time, dropped their jaws so wide you could fit an entire 60 card deck.

“...cool.”

“I…would love to go to detention right now,” it spoke volumes that Celina would rather spend 8 hours of her life doing nothing rather than be near Blair and his…fantasies. Unlucky for her, which should be lucky for her in any other situation, this was the last day for her detention. She took a deep breath and went in.

8 Hours Later

Celina was in deep thought hearing Crowler writing a poem about Ancient Gear Golem for the 7th time this hour when the clock rang, meaning she has to go to the Slifer Red Dorm with him. Crowler looked at the clock and sighed, “Well, would you look at the time, it’s your time to go back to your mouse infested dorm! Now sho-sho!”

“No! Let me stay here!” Celina grabbed the desk not wanting to meet with him so she hoped to stay here, but thanks Crowler’s Herculean strength, he pulled her out of the desk, and took the desk out of her hands and thus, she made it at her dorm, begrudgingly.

When she looked at the cliff, she saw Zane and Alexis standing while Chumley and Syrus were laying down on the ground seeing the duel beneath them. “Hey, what’s going on?”

Zane looked at her, “You should see it for yourself.” he said, unable to explain it.

“Okay?” she walked towards the cliff and looked down to see what was going on. She saw Jaden dueling Blair, who…was a girl. She slapped her forehead, “Now it makes sense.” she then looked at the field and it consisted of Sparkman, but on her side of the field she had a Maiden card and…Avian? Maybe it was an effect. And then two monsters then started to fight for her hand in marriage? What is going on!? “What the hell am I watching?”

“A duel between the new kid and Jaden, she used her monster's effect to steal Avian away from her, and he obliged because he was in love with her, and then Sparkman joined in.” Chumley quickly explained.

“Oh, and that she isn’t of legal age to be here,” said Syrus.

“What.”

“He means that she is too young for this school.” explained Zane as Alexis added on.

“And she did all of this because of love, most likely. Judging by her deck of course.” said Alexis as then Sparkman and Avian struck Jaden directly.

“...What is this school?”

Blair then took off her hat to reveal her long blue hair and put an orange bandana in her pockets, “You can’t defeat me, Jaden. I am dueling for love.”

“For love? Doesn’t she mean with love?” asked Zane as Celina and Alexis put 2 with 2 together. Celina sighed as she went down to their level, “You explain it to him, while I can explain it to her why she shouldn’t do that.”

Alexis nodded as the Slifers and Zane were confused on what they were talking about, “Zane, don’t tell me you haven’t noticed.” Zane looked at her confused, “You really don’t do you? I mean think about it, she broke the rules, got into campus, said all of those weird things about you, broke into your room, rubbed your cards and said she was dueling for love. Face it, Zane, she is in love with you.”

Zane sighed and looked at her, “You really are like your brother aren’t you?” He looked down to see Jaden summoning Burstinatrix and using Burst Return, “Looks like this is the end, we must talk to her about this.” Everyone looked down to see the brunette summoning Flame Wingman.

Everyone got up as they stood up and went down to talk to Blair, but Celina was faster than them. She saw the holograms disappearing and Jaden pointing with his two fingers stuck together. Blair looked at the winner of this duel, “I guess I have to tell you our secret then.” she said as Jaden looked at her.

“Nah, I think I know what your secret is and I think our spectators also know it.” said Jaden as Blair turned around Celina with her arms crossed.

“Alright, explain why you are here. Now.” she said in the most commanding voice possible.

Blair yelped and could barely look in Celina’s eyes, “We-well, I wanted to come here for love, Celina! To see my love in life! My one true love, Zane~!” she sang that last part, as Celina shivered, remembering that last sentence about slamming.

Celina put her hands on her forehead, “Look, Blair, I understand what you are talking about. You are in love, something that is normal to anyone, but that doesn’t mean that it is okay for you to make your parents worry for you, being in a school with people that are older than you by 5 years isn’t what you do when you are in love.” she said, but Blair couldn’t take that as an answer.

“No! You are not true! You are lying! I will do anything for love!” she yelled, but Celina wasn’t having any of that.

“Listen to me right now. You are in love, that’s fine, you want to spend time with that person, that’s fine also, you could be in love with anyone you want to and that would be fine as well. But what isn’t fine is you wasting your own money, or your parent’s money, to go to a school that doesn’t allow kids less than 13, to be in here, where you are going out of your way to make everyone you know worry for you just because you are in love. I understand that, but you must understand that there is a limit to what you are gonna do with love.”

“I couldn’t say it myself, Celina.” Everyone turned around to see Zane, and the rest, walking towards them, “Look Blair, I understand that you are in love, but that doesn’t excuse you for going to Duel Academy. Even if you came here legitimately, there would be 2 problems with that.”

Blair looked up, “And what are those?” She asked sadly. The group, sans Jaden, had a sad expression.

“Well for starters…”

“He is almost 18 years old while you are too young for dating someone that old. And he doesn’t want to go to jail because of it.” Zane nodded on what his younger brother said.

“Not to mention you two would be in a long distance relationship. I don’t think Zane is the type to date someone too far from him.” said Chumley as Zane nodded to that.

“O-oh.” Blair dropped her head in shame, of course something like this happened, but Jaden wanted to argue against this.

“Oh come on, guys! Just because of all of that, doesn’t mean she has to go home!” Everyone looked at him, confused, including Blair.

“Jaden, you don’t understand.” Celina said as she rubbed her forehead again.

“Understand what?”

“She can’t stay here, she is too young.” tried to argue back Alexis, but he still couldn’t understand.

“Jaden, she is in the 5th grade.” and just like that all of the brunette's colours went pale, literally. Some couldn’t help, but chuckle while Celina was laughing at his reaction.

“You mean… I almost lost to an 11 year old girl!?” yelled Jaden as he dropped to his knees.

“Hey, I am turning 12 next week!” yelled Blair, as that didn’t fix the situation. Not one bit.

“Oh my god that is hilarious!” Celina used some rocks to keep her in place so she wouldn't fall to the ground laughing.

Zane left the group to handle the situation on their own, while snickering at the reactions, “I will go tell Sheppard to get a boat ready for her.”

The Next Day

After everything was set and done, Zane called Sheppard to get a boat for Blair to get in, Celina stopped laughing her ass off and Jaden got his spirits back up after watching Mirio beating Class 1a.

The group was at the shore to return Blair to her home and family, while some of them telling her that they would miss her, Celina giving some advice on how to beat up someone and Jaden getting weird looks from Blair.

The boat came to the shore, and without a second thought, Blair got off and waved at everyone, “Bye, guys! I will see you guys later! See you Syrus, Chumley, Alexis, Celina, Zane and my beloved Jaden!” Everyone did a double take on the last words of her sentence, but then she sent an air kiss towards the poor brunette, but he was too shocked by what he just heard to move out of the way.

Zane watched in amusement, Syrus and Chumley watched in shock that he got two girls in love with him already, the other one is Grace, in like 3 months, “We gonna tell Bastion this.'' That was the thought of Syrus. Alexis didn’t like that, but knew that this was more likely a phase, and Celina was having a difficult time choosing either laughing at this once again or…jealousy? No that was not it, she wouldn’t. Right?

Meanwhile In An Unknown Location

Two. That was the number of bodies floating around in this deep dark, silent place. It was like the ocean, but if blue was swapped with black. The air pressure was so strong that it would knock out anyone within seconds.

One of the figures had long brown hair that was down to his shoulders, he had dark brown eyes and wore the inverted Obelisk Blue uniform.

The other had green hair that was also down to his shoulders, but not in a straight way. They were covering his eyebrows and ears, while being both at the back and on the front of his body. He had dark gray eyes. Like the other figure, he wore the inverted Obelisk Blue uniform.

Above the figures was that of a god. It had a goat’s head as its head. It wore a dark cloak that covered the entire body and even the head. Its eyes shined blue, like the deepest part of an ocean. It also showed its rib cage, showing it was no ordinary monster or a human. “Soon, I will show myself to these mortals, making that fool of a mortal, Kagemaru, think I was on his side of these, Shadow Riders. But I do need a host so I don’t show my true self. Now which one of these I will pick?” The monster said to itself.

It looked over the two bodies, both of them were very useful, both of them could show the power of Darkness, its world. Both of them had an unbreakable bonds with one of the possible Key Keepers, Zane.

Key word; almost.

The monster thought for a couple of minutes, before choosing the right host, the right vestige for his plan. “Let’s see how useful you can be, Yusuke Fujiwara.”

And that’s about it for this chapter! I am pretty happy with how it turned out! I wanted to do the fillers, but the entire thing. The main point is to write on how Celina reacts to all of this nonsense.

I wanted to write something about the school duel, like how the duelists train and study for the school duel, but I decided to write that in the next BIG chapter. And when I say BIG, I really mean it. Look forward to that.

I decided not to write any duel, because I plan on making certain chapters with no duels, and I think this was a good attempt. What do you guys think?

Before we end this, I wanted to be serious for a moment. On the day I started writing this chapter, I heard the tragic news of Kazuki Takahashi’s passing, and I want to write this to him.

Kazuki Takahashi, I want to thank you for everything you have done to my life. Without you, my life wouldn’t be the same. I wouldn’t make great friends, I wouldn’t be happy as I am today, I wouldn’t be here without you Kazuki Takahashi. Thank you for creating an amazing story, characters and card game that everyone, from all countries of the world, would play and watch the show. I want to thank you for everything.

Chapter 9 of Yugioh GX Rewrite! (Who Will Represent Duel Academy?)

Let's see on who will represent Duel Academy in the school duel. Will it be Bastion, Jaden, Alexis or Celina? Let's find out!

Ever since it was announced that there would be the school duel, last week, almost every student was training themselves to get into the school duel and represent Duel Academy. Either by studying for the next test or dueling other students.

Well almost everyone, Zane didn’t want to be in the school duel because he wanted to see how the new generation of Duelists would handle their duels without him, Syrus really didn’t want to have such a big boulder in his shoulders, Chumley really didn’t care for dueling, he would rather be an artist.

There were three students who were trying their best to succeed and represent; Bastion, Celina and Jaden.

Bastion was going through all of his decks, to his Chemical archetype to his Nepthys deck. He went through all of the calculations to see what will be the best deck to bring in the school duel and duel to be the representative.

Celina was going to the Card Shop, buying new packs for her deck, getting very good Traps and Spells, and the occasional Monster and she deck built her entire deck once again.

Jaden didn’t have a strategy to be the best, he decided to duel more students like Dimitri and some Obelisk Blues while also getting new cards for his deck. He was the most relaxed out of any of the students that wanted to duel the best in North Academy.

This was going on for several days now and the teachers needed to pick a student. Each of the homeroom teachers, Banner, Satyr, Fonda and Crowler, had folders of the students from their dorm that would be the most likely to represent them. It was a meeting of all of the teachers, proctors, Sheppard and even Zane was there to discuss who would represent them.

“Now, then,” started off Sheppard as he got everyone’s attention, “We all know why we are here?” Everyone nodded, “Good. We need a student that would represent Duel Academy in our upcoming school duel.” Marco raised his hand, “Yes, Professor Marco?”

“I don’t want to sound rude here, but why is Truesdale here?” he pointed at Zane, who was close to the door, “Not that I mind of course, I am just curious.”

Zane looked at the teacher, “I am here to inform all of you that I would decline the offer of being the representative. While it is interesting, I wanted to see how the juniours would handle this.”

“WHAT?!” Crowler shrieked when he heard that, his best student, the pride of Duel Academy, The Kaiser of the school, didn’t want to represent them?! All of the other students in Obelisk Blue were nothing, but chumps that had their ego up their asses. “You can’t be serious!”

While the other teachers were shocked at the news, they understood what he meant by that, Satyr did mention that a first year Slifer was beating his first, second and third year Ras in a row. They wanted to see how the freshmen could handle this.

“Chancellor, please tell me he is joking!” yelled out Crowler as Sheppard laughed.

“No, he isn’t. But there is something that even if Zane wanted to represent us, I couldn’t accept.” said Sheppard as everyone, other than Zane, looked at him.

“And that is?” asked Stein.

“They are using a first year student to represent them! I wanted to be fair with the duel so I would only accept first years from all of the dorms.” explained Sheppard as the homeroom teachers took out most of the folders and they ended up with only 1 folder, only Banner had two folders, “So, I want to hear what students you would like to represent us.”

Fonda began first, “I would like to see Alexis Rhodes represent us in the school duel. Her dueling style is very versatile in many ways and has enough ways to defeat her opponent, even during their turns with cards like Doble Passe. Not to mention it would be nice to see a Ritual focus deck user to represent us.”

Sheppard nodded, understanding that the younger Rhodes sibling would be fantastic to represent them with her deck style, and she uses a deck that is similar to Cyber Style, but only in name, “I understand, you Satyr?”

Satyr cleared his throat, “I propose that Bastion Misawa should represent us. While he does the best marks in the first years, scoring A+ in almost every test he writes, his dueling style is no laughing matter. His versatility is something that could never be rivaled and it would be nice to see someone other than an Obelisk to represent us.”

Sheppard nodded, Bastion was a smart guy, but his dueling style is extremely impressive with someone with 6 decks, one for each attribute and all of them have their advantages and disadvantages. He might even succeed in being a smarter Duelist than even the legendary Eiseinstein, but there was one problem with him. He lacked passion, he had power, but not that. He needs to think about that decision. He looked at Banner, who was petting Pharaoh, “What about you, Professor Banner?”

Banner stopped petting his cat as he took two folders, “Well the first one in my agenda is Celina Boyle. While she is in Slifer, her skills far surpass that of even some of that in third year Obelisks. Her deck style and dueling style are more offensive than defensive, but she has proven to be quite skillful and able to come back from a tough situation.”

Sheppard once again nodded, while she does have a temper and does go on the, well, aggressive side of things, she is a smart duelist, able to use all of her resources for a powerful one turn kill. She might be the best one for the school duel, but he needs to hear the last option.

“And the last, but certainly not the least, Jaden Yuki,” Zane narrowed his eyes while Crowler grimaced, “While his grades are the worst, compared to his peers, his dueling skills are some of the best most people haven’t seen. He was able to defeat several Obelisks and Ras in under a couple of weeks. I’d say he would be the one to represent us in the school.”

“Excellent choice, Professor Banner,” said Sheppard as he looked at Zane, for an unbiased judge. “What do you think, Truesdale?”

Zane crossed his arms and closed his eyes, “While I do think any of them could work in any situation, I believe that the best course of action is to think who has the most skill, versatility and passion for the game, and I believe that the best one for this is Jade-”

“WAIT!” Everyone looked at Crowler ,who had a panicked face, he did not want that slacker to represent them in the school duel, he had to think something quick! “Is…isn’t it a bit unfair to pick a student only because you think, and not because we saw them in a duel?” Everyone was interested, even Zane, “I mean, come on! Just think about when that slacker duels someone, and he loses against them! Wouldn’t that be horrible for us?”

“Then what are you saying?” asked one of the proctors.

“I am saying that why we couldn’t organize a duel to see who can represent us in the school duel!” Crowler picked up Satyr, Banner and Fonda’s folders and placed them on Sheppard’s desk, “Wouldn’t that be ideal for all of the students? They get to see them duel, they can train to be stronger and we get a representative! Doesn't that sound like a good idea?”

Around the room, the teachers and proctors were whispering with each other if that sounded like a good idea, but they had to face the facts, that was a legitimately good idea from Crowler.

Sheppard clapped his hands together, “Great idea, Doctor Crowler! But there is one problem, with that I am afraid.”

“What is it, Chancellor?” he asked.

“We can only get one duel. With all of these duel requests from the Slifers to the Obelisks, we can only get room for one duel in this entire month.” Sheppard explained as Crowler nodded.

“That could be troublesome.” agreed the Crowler and so did the rest of the staff, but Zane had an idea.

“If you don’t have enough room for one more duel, how about a Four Way Tag Team Duel?” everyone turned to Zane, “Where if a team wins they can then duel each other to be the representative, or if it becomes a 1 v 1, or much more. It can be interesting to see.”

The staff looked at each other, before looking at Zane giving a nod that is honestly a pretty good choice and idea. “Excellent idea, once again, Truesdale! You may now go to your class.” Zane nodded as he walked out of the staff room, “It is decided. It will be a Four Way Tag Team, but who will be on which team?”

“Slifer Reds versus Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue?” suggested Banner.

“Slifer Red and Ra Yellow versus Slifer Red and Obelisk Blue?” suggested Satyr.

“Oh don’t worry, gentlemen, I will decide who will be in which team. Now if you excuse me, I have a class to teach.” said Crowler as he walked off the staff room while Sheppard informed him, “Don’t forget to inform them that it will take place a week later!” Crowler nodded as he walked off. He had a perfect idea! He will either have Bastion, Celina or Alexis take down that slacker Jaden.

But who will be dueling with him? Celina is a no-go for his duel partner, since those two deck styles will be meshed like peanut butter and jam. Alexis will most likely be a fantastic duel partner for him, since both of them could be both defensive and offensive. It only leaves one option; Bastion Misawa and Jaden Yuki versus Celina Boyle and Alexis Rhodes.

Bastion and Jaden’s decks would not mesh at all, since Bastion will make a defensive style deck to protect him and Jaden, but their opponents would beat them down due to not having a way to finish their Ritual and Fusion monsters.

Alexis and Celina’s decks, on the other hand, will mesh 100% since their decks are so powerful it could destroy both Jaden and Bastion on their second turn. Not to mention, Celina knows Jaden’s moves better than anyone since they do live in the same dorm, so she would know his strategies!

“This is perfect!” Crowler thought as he started laughing maniacally as he walked into his classroom, to stop his laughter.

“Good morning class! I have an announcement for the school duel against North Academy!” Everyone looked at Crowler, even Jaden woke up from his nap, “The staff, Sheppard and I have decided to have a duel between four students to represent us in the school. And not just any duel, a Four Way Tag Team Duel!” Most of the students gasped, while Syrus looked confused. Bastion raised his hand, “Yes?”

“Why do we have a Tag Team duel to see who should represent us?” Bastion asked, “Shouldn’t there be a mini tournament?”

“While yes that would make sense to do that, our problem is that, we need to fill so many duel requests that we only have time for 1 duel.” Bastion nodded as he leaned in. “Now then, if I may continue, of the four students that will represent us, please stand up.”

Crowler cleared his throat, “Bastion Misawa.” The Ra Yellow stood up, “Alexis Rhodes.” The female Obelisk Blue stood up, “Celina Boyle.” Crowler ignored a “YEAH!” from the Slifer Red female as she stood up. “And finally,” Crowler sighed, “Jaden Yuki.” Jaden jumped to his feet, giving Celina a high five, as he did that.

Crowler rubbed his eyes as he looked at the idiot that was currently doing a little dance as his name was called out, “Alright, before you can go off and choose your duel partner, I- I mean the staff has decided on the teams.” Crowler cleared his throat once again as the students leaned in, “Jaden Yuki and Bastion Misawa will be on Team 1.” Jaden looked at Bastion, as the Ra Yellow returned the favour, “Celina Boyle and Alexis Rhodes will be on Team 2.” Alexis looked at Celina, but the Slifer Red returned with a grin, to which made the Obelisk grin as well.

“In the next hours we will share the rules of the Tag Team Duel, so don’t worry about the rules. It will happen in about a week, so please study well for the duel, my students!” said Crowler as he then started his lecture.

A Little While Later

After all of the classes were finished, Jaden, Syrus and Bastion headed to the Ra Yellow dorm while Alexis and Celina are going to the Obelisk Blue dorm for girls. Celina rubbed her forehead, “So, he dueled a guy that stole Yugi’s deck.”

“Yep.” answered Alexis as they started walking towards the dorm, ready to discuss on how they can defeat their tag team opponents. Currently they are talking about stories about this crazy school. “I still can’t believe that we are gonna be duel partners next week.”

“Yeah, same. I always wanted to be in the school duel, but never thought I would actually participate in it, y’know?” Alexis nodded to what she meant, “But right now, I can’t wait to see how Obelisk Blue dorm is like since I saw both Ra and Yellow.”

“Wait, you were in Ra Yellow dorm?” Alexis asked.

“Oh, yeah. When Bastion asked if we wanted to help him with his room. It looked like an actual house, and the food was delicious.” Celina admitted as Alexis nodded her head.

“Right, that’s good to know. Although, I am curious. Have you heard that the Obelisk Blue dorm looks like a castle?” asked Alexis as Celina was confused, but answered it by a nod. “Well, one of the good things about it is that it's actually true!”

They stood at the entrance of the Obelisk Blue Dorm, for girls, and the place looked absolutely beautiful. The building looked more like a castle than anything, that was coloured by the shiniest colour of white. On the backside, you could see a beautiful sight of the lake on the island. On the roof were blue tiles.

Even inside it was something out of a Disney movie. The floors were cleaner than a boy’s internet history. There was a whole ass fountain in the middle of the floor. A golden statue of Obelisk. Pillars that were made out of silver. Some flowers inside! A spa on the left! A cafeteria on the right! This place took all off the budget of all of the other dorms combined.

Some Obelisks gave Celina the stink eye, and whispered behind her back, making Alexis nervous for her and angry at them But that didn’t stop her from enjoying the place. She looked at Alexis, “I kinda regret being a Slifer Red. This is so much better!”

Alexis chuckled at her reaction, “Me too, your company is way more enjoyable than that of the Obelisk Blues. I mean I love Jazz and Mindy, don’t get me wrong, but they can be so annoying sometimes.”

“I understand and I would have been here if it weren’t for that terrible uniform.” Celina made a disgusted look as she looked at the uniform once again, and Alexis nodded to that, it really is a terrible uniform.

“Yeah, I totally agree with you on that. These are incredibly uncomfortable to wear.” agreed Alexis as they went to her room to discuss their ideas to defeat both Bastion and Jaden.

She opened the room and it then shined brighter than a star. It was beautiful, not on the scale of the ocean view, but still a beautiful look at the lake. There was a desk with a laptop, to which Celina figured out it was on it before Alexis even came here, a couch that looked soft as a pillow and a TV that was the size of a human, she later found out this was normal to all of the Obelisk Blue students; both male and female.

At first she regretted not joining here, but then she remembered the uniform, so all is good. “Where are we going to study our decks and then there's? On the couch or the bed?”

Alexis pointed at her bed, “Why not at the bed?” Celina shrugged her shoulders as she sat on the bed, the thing felt like clouds, or cotton candy, or like a pile bunnies, so she slumped down at the bed for a good minute. “Are you okay?”

Celina looked at her, “Oh yeah, I am just relaxing on these comfortable beds. Don’t mind me.”

“Celina, we need to look at our decks so we can discuss our plan.” she said as the Slifer Red groaned, but obliged, taking out a deck from her belt and spreading it on the bed, and the Obelisk Blue did the same thing. They decided it was a good time to study their decks and their playstyle.

Meanwhile At The Ra Yellow Dorm

Jaden and Bastion, with Syrus buddying with them, placed their stuff on the floor of Bastion’s room, and it was cleaner than the last time they were there. His windows, his floor, the roof, the walls were clean. He even got himself a computer!

“Jay, why didn’t you stay here? It’s a better living style than ours.” said Syrus as he looked at Jaden.

The brunette looked at the shorter Slifer, “C’mon, Sy, you know the reason. Are you gonna ask me that question every time we are here?” Syrus avoided eye contact.

Bastion clapped his hands together, “Alright, now that we are here, we must discuss our plans on beating both of them.” said Bastion as he took out his six decks from his jacket and puts them all down on his bed, he patted the closest part to him on his bed, “Come on. We need to see your deck in full so we can figure out our best chances of beating them.”

“What about me?” asked Syrus as Bastion thought for a moment. While he didn’t need to be here, he didn’t want to kick them out, it would be rude and he knew he wanted to help.

He snapped his fingers, “Can you get us some pop, or sodas, from the cafeteria? I would like an Ice Tea and you can take anything you want, my treat.”

Jaden looked at Syrus, “Oh, can you get me a Hell, Sy?” the shorter Slifer stood up and nodded, “Thanks!” Syrus walked out of the room to get them a drink so they can study.

Bastion looked at Jaden, “Alright, I would like to see your deck and Extra deck so we can see how we would make it work.” Jaden nodded as he took out his deck from his belt and handed it to the Ra Yellow, but the Extra Deck was too heavy for him, “Jad-en how many cards do you have in your deck?”

“My normal deck or Extra deck?” Bastion yelled out “Both!”, he thought about it for a second, before answering, “About 30 Extra Deck monsters,” Bastion’s eyes widened, “A 60 card Hero deck and like 24 Side Deck cards. Why?”

Bastion put the cards down on the bed, “Those cards weighed about 5 kilograms! How is he still alive!?” he thought as he looked him in the eyes, “Why do you have an Extra Deck that big!? I understand having a 60 card deck with some Side decking, but this is just ridiculous, incomprehensible , illogical!” He breathed in and out, “Sorry for my little outburst.”

Jaden returned with a smile on his face, “Nah, it’s cool. I know you didn’t mean those words, even if I didn’t know what they meant.” he muttered that last part so Bastion couldn’t hear it.

“Alright, how about we start thi-” the door was opened, by Syrus who held an Ice Tea and a Coke in one of his hands, and on the other was a Hell Energy Drink. “Here you go, Bastion and Jay!” He said as he handed the drinks to the duel partners.

Bastion took a sip of his drink while Jaden chugged his drink down in a matter of seconds and threw it outside, right inside of the recycling bin. “Alright, let’s begin!”

After a few hours of strategizing and pointing out flaws in their decks from both sides. Celina and Alexis found out that both of their decks are offensive and both have great ways of getting their resources back in their hands and could make tough boards that could wipe most opponents in a matter of seconds during their Battle Phase, but they decided to add some Traps and Spells to either gain advantage in life points or in cards, or cards that manipulate the Battle Phase.

Jaden and Bastion found that Bastion’s Water and Earth decks are perfect for 1 v 1 duels, but not on 2 v 2 duels. His Wind deck is great at creating advantages of destroying themselves, but not his duel partners’ deck. His Light Deck is good for negating his opponents, but it comes to a risk of negating his duel partner’s plays, and his Dark deck would not work with Jaden’s deck, he really needed to find a better Dark deck. That left his Fire deck, a burn deck.

Unknown to both of the teams, but both Bastion and Alexis have cards that could negate and destroy Fusion monsters with only a mere Trap, Spell or even a Monster card, but the only downside, which was a heavy one, is that if they stop their partners from playing Fusion monsters, and if they do draw into those cards, they would be dead wait for not making any plays.

Meanwhile, Syrus was on the floor, scrolling down Instagram and watching some Anime, asking every hour if they needed help.

As then, from all of their PDAs there was a message from Doctor Crowler that said:

Hello duelists,

I would like to thank you for participating to see who will duel in the school. We can’t wait to see what both teams will do in the duel. In this message here are the rules for this type of duel:

All players have their own 4000 life points, hand, field and graveyard.

Duelists are allowed to attack during the second turn of the duel, however you can not attack duelists that haven't had their turns yet.

Duelists are allowed to use cards on their partner's side of the field, graveyard and hand if they give permission.

All duelists will get 1 turn per round. Team 1 Player 1 goes first, Team 2 Player 1 goes second, Team 1 Player 2 goes third, Team 2 Player 2 goes fourth, and then it goes full circle.

If a duelist deals effect damage, both players lose life points, unless it targets a specific side of the field.

When a teammate is down, the other player is allowed to continue on the duel while having 2 turns per round.

If the entire team is defeated, it then turns into a 1 v 1 between all of the duelists of one team with the field, graveyard, life points and hand stay the same.

When you are the last person standing, you won the duel and will be the representative of the school duel against North Academy.

As the duelists read all of the rules, and understood the rules, they put the PDAs down and took the cards back into their deck boxes. “Alright, I think we should relax for today and start our training tomorrow,” said Celina and Bastion, unknowingly, at the same time as they looked at Alexis/Jaden, “What should we do at that time?”

Alexis shrugged, “Wanna go to the hot springs?” It was pretty much all that it took to make Celina jump out of that bed and go to the hot springs, it would be her first time there.

Alexis only chuckled on the Slifer Red.

Back at Ra Yellow Dorm, Jaden shrugged his shoulders as he looked at Bastion, “Want to watch some anime?”

Bastion looked at the Slifer Reds, before nodding. He went to the computer with the two Slifers following him and began watching some anime.

A Week Later

In the following week, both duel teams decided to buy more packs from the Card Shop, changed their decks into a more powerful decks, added some staples like Pot Of Greed, Pot Of Avarice and so much more, not to mention they looked into guides on how to make their decks way more powerful.

They then decided to try their decks out by challenging other duelists at the same time, to see how they decks could match up. For Jaden and Bastion, they dueled duelists like Syrus and Chumley, Brier and Dimitri, and for Celina and Alexis, they dueled Jasmine and Mindy, Torrey and Damon and so much more.

As then they also took breaks from time to time, by watching anime, which Celina found out Alexis loved watching My Hero, while the Slifer duo found out that Bastion watched shows that educated you, like Cells At Work, as well as playing some board games like Uno.

But right now, every student, from Slifers to Obelisks, from juniors to seniors, and even the teachers were at the Duel Arena, ready to see who will represent Duel Academy in the annual school duel with one of the four Academies.

Syrus and Chumley sat down next to each other, waving a ‘TEAM JADEN’ flag, while sitting with some Ras that waved a ‘TEAM BASTION’ flag, and some Obelisks and Slifers that waved either ‘TEAM ALEXIS’ flag or ‘TEAM CELINA’ flag.

Zane was on the rails with his eyes narrowed at the Duel Arena seeing the 4 students ready for the duel, with Honest appearing next to him with his arms crossed. He looked at Zane first and then at the duelists.

Doctor Crowler was on the middle, just like the expulsion duel, ready to introduce the duelists. He cleared his throat, “Alright! May I please have your attention!” Everyone looked at him as he pushed his mic close to his mouth, “Thank you! Now let me introduce all of the duelists for this Four Way Tag Team duel!”

All of the duelists went to the stage as Crowler threw his hands at the first team, “On the right corner we have Celina and Alexis!” The crowd cheered as they were introduced, “And on the left corner we have Bastion and…some kid.” Everyone fell anime style, even the ones that were cheering for the other students.

“He will never not hate me, will he?” Jaden said as he got up and looked at Bastion who shrugged.

“Don’t know, but are you ready to put our brains and brawn against them?”

“Like the colour?” Bastion facepalmed at that, and when Celina and Alexis got up, so did they facepalm at Jaden’s question.

“Seriously, how did he get in?” asked Celina as she looked at her duel partner.

“I…don’t know.” said Alexis.

Crowler then cleared his throat, again to catch their attention, “Alright, is everyone ready for the duel?” the duelists nodded as they got their decks out and placed them into their duel disks, “Good! Now, let the duel begin!” yelled Crowler as he ran away from the Duel Arena and up the stands so he doesn’t get hit by any of the attacks like the last time.

Celina, Alexis and Bastion all then yelled, “Duel!” while Jaden yelled a “Get your game on!”

Celina: 4000 lp

Alexis: 4000 lp

Jaden: 4000 lp

Bastion: 4000 lp

Turn 1.

“I’ll take the first move!” yelled out Celina as she drew her first card. She looked at her hand, she had two cards perfect against them, but the rest didn’t really have some to this card so she decided to make a decent first move, “I summon Lunalight Crimson Fox!” a red feminine fox was summoned onto the field.

(Lunalight Crimson Fox: Level 4 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 300.)

She then took 2 cards from her hand, “I end my turn with two face downs!” two cards were set vertically behind the crimson fox.

Turn 2.

Bastion looked at his duel partner, “Do you mind if I make the first move?”

“No, of course not! Go ahead!” Jaden allowed Bastion to make his first move.

Bastion nodded as he drew his card. He then activated a card from his hand, “I activate the Spell card, Level Burn! This card allows one of us to discard one monster from our hands and it deals damage 100x per level! Jaden, if you would please.”

“Right on, man!” Jaden took out a card from his hand, and then fire appeared onto the field. It was the shape of his Dark Hero, Necroshade! The Hero made out of Fire went towards the two duelists and hit them, making them take the first damage of the duel.

Celina: 4000 - 3500 life points

Alexis: 4000 - 3500 life points

“Way to go you two!” cheered Syrus as Chumley waved the flag.

“Don’t think, that was it! It was mere practice as I summon Volcanic Slicer!” from Bastion’s side of the field appeared a golden dinosaur with heat coming out of its mouth. From the little parts that it had space, it also had magma on it.

(Volcanic Slicer: Level 4 - Fire Pyro - Attack: 1800. Defense: 1200.)

“Volcanics?!” yelled out Celina as she remembered losing, a lot of times, to a friend that went to the west with his mom and dad a couple of years ago, who played Volcanics. “I forgot most of the cards, but I do remember their play style.” she then looked at her field and her two facedown cards, “I would like to activate them, but I need to save them if they are gonna bring out that card so early.”

Alexis turned to her duel partner, “You know the cards?” she asked.

“Yes, and I know their play style. They are a deck that loves to take out monsters with a Spell card, deal damage and summon their boss monster by sacrificing said Spell.” she explained as Alexis noted all of the information and looked at her hand and saw a Trap that can help with this.

“That’s right.” Bastion nodded, “I would like to attack Alexis directly, but due to the rules, I can not. So I am activating Slicer’s effect! It can deal 500 points of damage, but I can not attack the turn I activate this effect! Here comes the heat!” Slicer nodded as the dinosaur shot a blast of magma at the two duelists.

Celina: 3500 - 3000 life points

Alexis: 3500 - 3000 life points

Jaden turned towards Bastion, “Nice move there, and not a bad pun! You’re getting good at those.” he admitted.

“Thank you.”Bastion then took a card from his hand, “I set a card facedown. Your move.” a card was set vertically behind the Volcanic monster.

Turn 3. Alexis - 3000 lp - 5 cards

Right at the bat, Bastion dealt 1000 points of damage without attacking and still following the rules, but that won’t stop Alexis from trying to stop him. She drew her card. She smiled as she placed the newly drawn card, “I summon Cyber Gymnast in attack mode!”

Behind the Obelisk Blue student, a woman with a decent tan and decent build jumped to the Duel Arena. She wore black leggings and a tank top-like armour. She also had a white mask that covered her eyes. She had a yellow pony tail down to her legs.

(Cyber Gymnast: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 800. Defense: 1800.)

“Her effect kicks in! By discarding a card,” Alexis did so, “and then I can destroy one monster in attack position!”

“What?!” yelled both Jaden and Bastion, as Celina and the crowd cheered as Cyber Gymnast went ahead and kicked the Slicer, destroying it with one hit.

“And you know the best part? I can still attack, due to that being her ability! So go ahead, Cyber Gymnast!” The monster nodded at the command as she went in, and roundhouse kicked Bastion on the head.

Jaden: 4000 lp

Bastion: 4000 - 3200 life points

“Are you okay, Bastion?!” yelled out Jaden as Bastion nodded, making him sigh in relief.

“Oh he won’t be okay for long,” Alexis took a card from her hand, “You can go after I set my card facedown.” a card was set vertically behind Cyber Gymnast.

Turn 4. Jaden - 4000 lp - 4 cards

Despite Jaden being the only one here that has 4000 life points, he knew that this wasn’t an advantage. For starters, they had 3 facedowns, while Bastion had 1 and they had 2 monsters on the field, while they had none. If that wasn’t bad enough, the cards in his hands were good, but not enough to destroy Celina’s Crimson Fox, but if he did destroy that monster, he had to fight Alexis’ Cyber Gymnast. This was tough for the Slifer Red.

He drew his card and looked at it, he smiled. “When I have Necroshade in my graveyard thanks to Bastion’s Level Burn, I can summon one of his buddies to the field,” Necroshade appeared behind the brunette, “So come out the golden Hero, Bladedge!”

From the ground up, flew up a golden hero with blades sharp enough to cut any steal.

(Elemental HERO Bladedge: Level 7 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2600. Defense: 1800.)

Celina shot up, it was now or never, “Not so fast, I activate the Trap, Ring Of Destruction!” The audience gasped as a ring with grenades appeared onto Bladedge’s neck, “This card destroys a monster on your side of the field and deals you damage for its attack points, but we won’t take it when I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Ring Of Defense!” A ring with green wall-like shields appeared in front of Celina and Alexis, “This card protects us from effect damage from Trap Cards!”

Bastion looked over towards Jaden, to see if he has a plan, but thankfully, he pulled out a card from his hand, “Nice try, but that won’t happen when I activate the Quick-Play Spell of my own, Mystic Wok!” a wok appeared onto the field, big enough for Bladedge to drop into it, destroying Ring Of Destruction, “I sacrifice one monster on my side of the field so I gain life points equal to either its attack points or defense points!”

“Excellent maneuver, for I chain the last move with Chain Strike! This card deals damage equal to the amount of chainlinks times 400 when I activate this Spell, and unfortunately for you, it’s a Spell, not a Trap!” Bastion exclaimed as chains appeared out of the Spell card.

First Chain Strike shot against Celina and Alexis, then Mystic Wok made the Earth Hero disappear, then Ring Of Defense began, but it didn’t work since it wasn’t a Trap and, finally, Ring Of Destruction disappeared since its target disappeared before the Trap worked.

Celina: 3000 - 1400 life points

Alexis: 3000 - 1400 life points

Jaden: 4000 - 6600 life points

Bastion: 3200 lp

The audience roared with cheers from Team Jaden and Team Bastion, while Team Celina and Team Alexis tensed up at the moment, not wanting this to happen. Zane nodded at the moment, while Honest adding, “Impressive teamwork coming from their parts. Utilizing Spells from both sides to make them have the upper hand in the moment.”

Zane nodded once again, “Right, but I wouldn’t count them out yet, the duel has only started.”

“Hey, Zane, who are you talki-” asked a random Obelisk Blue, but was then glared at by the Kaiser of Duel Academy.

Jaden grinned at his work, but that was the best he could do, for now, but it wouldn’t hurt him to try to destroy one of the monsters, “I summon the electric hero himself, Sparkman!” The blue clad wearing electric hero appeared onto the field.

(Elemental HERO Sparkman: Level 4 - Light Warrior - Attack: 1600. Defense: 1400.)

“And now, I will attack your Cyber Gymnast with Static Shockwave!” yelled out Jaden as from Sparkman’s hands, electricity appeared from its hand and it shot at Alexis’ only monster, but for some reason she smirked.

“Why, thank you. I activate the Trap, Draining Shield!” a barrier appeared onto Alexis’ monster, as it absorbed all of the attacks, “Remember this card? Well, thanks to it, I negate one attack and I gain life points equal to the attack!”

“Nice one, Alexis!” cheered Celina as the crowd went crazy.

Alexis: 1400 - 3000 life point

Celina: 1400 lp

“Marvelous.” muttered Bastion, “She regained life points that I dealt to her with my card. This will be more difficult than I thought.”

“That was a sweet move, Lex!” Jaden then looked at his hand and took one of them, “I throw down a face down and that’s it.” a card was set vertically behind Light Hero.

Turn 5. Celina - 1400 lp - 3 cards

Celina drew her card, trying to get some payback at him, for losing over half of her life points. She grinned, “I activate the Spell card, Lunalight Restoration Dance! I send one Lunalight monster from my hand,” she sends her Lunalight Wolf to the graveyard, “And I regain life points equal to her attack points!”

“Ahh man, Jay and Bastion just got rid of those life points!”

“This is so not lischus!” yelled out both Syrus and Chumley.

Celina: 1400 - 3400 life points

Alexis: 3000 lp

“And I am not done with that, I activate my newly drawn card, Fusion Birth!” Bastion’s eyes widened at the name of the card, “I send the top 5 cards from my deck to my graveyard,” she did so, “and if any of them were monsters that I could use for a Fusion summon, I can use them for it!”

She then revealed the cards she sent; Polymerization, Fusion Recovery, Lunalight Maroon Mosquito, Pot Of Avarice and Lunalight Blue Cat. She can use Fusion summon 1 monster, but better than nothing, “I fuse Lunalight Maroon Mosquito and Lunalight Blue Cat so I can Fusion summon!”

A feminine blue cat and a maroon coloured feminine mosquito were summoned onto the field, before being sucked in a Pink-Blue Spiral Vortex. From the Vortex came out a monster that was like a tiger with its paws and fur being coloured in like a tiger that was an feminine as the Cat and Panther Dancer. She wore a bright red dress, with orange leggings, and bright white hair down to her legs and light blue bra. She did not in fact wear a weapon, but used her claws as her weapon. She wore a dark blue face mask that covered her eyes. On her shoulders, she had a Moon like tattoo. “Pounce on your enemies, Lunalight Tiger Dancer!”

(Lunalight Tiger Dancer: Fusion - Level 6 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 2000. Defense: 1800.)

Bastion raised his eyebrow at the newly summoned monster, “Why wouldn’t she summon Cat Dancer? Cat Dancer would have done the same effect with a bigger attack. Unless…” Bastion’s eyes widened at the thought.

“When Tiger Dancer is summoned onto the field, she gains half of the attack points of all of her Fusion Materials until the End Phase.” explained Alexis, as Celina nodded as she pointed at her new Fusion monster.

Lunalight Maroon Mosquito: 1700 attack points/2= 850 attack points

Lunalight Blue Cat: 1600 attack points/2= 800 attack points

Lunalight Tiger Dancer: 2000 + 800 + 850 = 3650 attack points

“Dear lord!” yelled a random Slifer Red.

“Don’t forget that she can attack twice per turn! Now attack Bastion directly with Daytime Tiger!” Tiger Dancer nodded as she went towards Bastion for a quick kick, but Jaden wouldn’t let that slide.

“Oh no, you don’t! I activate the Trap Card, Hero Barrier!” Jaden played his set card as a barrier appeared in front of Bastion, “This card negates one attack when I control a Hero monster!”

“A splendid save, Jaden!” Bastion thanked his duel partner.

“No worries.” Jaden rubbed his nose.

Celina thought for her next move, while yes, it would be more smart to attack Bastion and attack Jaden later, the Slifer Red was always there for a comeback, and he would have way more life points than them. So Celina opted to go for a little attack, “Lunalight Crimson Fox will attack Bastion directly, while Tiger Dancer will destroy Sparkman!”

Tiger Dancer ran towards the Light Hero monster and kicked it out of stage, the same place where Crowler would have been if he didn’t jump into the stands, while the fox kicked Bastion on his face, leaving a small bruise.

Jaden: 6600 - 4550 life points

Bastion: 3200 - 1400 life points

The crowd went crazy, as they lost pretty much all of their defense, but they wouldn’t give up that easily, “I end my turn with a facedown.” a card was set vertically behind the Tiger Dancer and Crimson Fox.

Lunalight Tiger Dancer: 3650 - 2000 attack points

Turn 6. Bastion - 1400 lp - 3 cards

Bastion rubbed his cheek as he drew his next card, he needed to get rid of all of these monsters, and he got a perfect card for the job, “Like someone would say, we need some firepower so I summon Volcanic Rocket in attack mode!”

From the skies above flew down a rocket made out of gold material with magma inside of the between parts of the body.

(Volcanic Rocket: Level 4 - Fire Pyro - Attack: 1900. Defense: 1400.)

Bastion then pointed out, “Now the special ability of my newly summoned monster activates! I can add a Blaze Accelerator card from my deck to my hand!” Bastion took out his deck, took out his Continuous Spell card and put his deck back, “And I’ll activate it!”

A tripod appeared onto the field which on the top, looked like a camera, but in fact it was a gun that looked like a camera.

Bastion pointed out, “If I activate this card’s effect, I am prohibited from attacking this turn, but that is a price that I am going to pay.” He took out a card from his hand, “By sending a Pyro type monster from my hand to the graveyard with 500 or lower attacking power, I can destroy 1 monster on your side of the field! I send Volcanic Counter!”

He then pointed at Lunalight Crimson Fox, as then a dog like monster made out of golden material, with magma all around the missing parts of the body appeared, only to go into the Blaze Accelerator and then shot it at the feminine fox, destroying it. Team Bastion cheered like hell, while Team Celina cheered her on, making everyone dueling and the ones cheering for the other people sweatdrop.

“The best part of my Spell card is that it is not once per turn.” said Bastion as Jaden nodded with a smile on his face.

“It is not?!”

“Crap, I forgot about that part!” yelled both Alexis and Celina at the same part.

“Oh yes it is, I send Volcanic Scattershot to the graveyard, so I will destroy the Lunalight Tiger Dancer!” Bastion sent a card to his graveyard, as then a metallic lizard with three heads, on fire, appeared onto the field, went inside of the Blaze Accelerator and then shot at the Lunalight Fusion monster, but Celina had a different idea.

A card appeared onto Celina’s graveyard to which she took it, “You forgot the graveyard ability of Lunalight Crimson Fox! I banish it, so I can negate one effect that targets my Lunalight monster, but we all gain 1000 life points!”

Crimson Fox appeared as an astral image, only to kick the Scattershot and send it flying to the roof of the Dueling Arena, making an explosion.

Celina: 3400 - 4400 life points

Alexis: 3000 - 4000 life points

Jaden: 4550 - 5550 life points

Bastion: 1400 - 2400 life points

Just like that, their life point situation has changed. What started off as them having more life points, they gained the upper hand in a short time that is quite impressive, but shouldn’t lose focus, “Impressive, but can it stop Scattershot’s first effect? When it is sent to the graveyard, you lose 500 life points!”

A fire ball appeared out of Bation’s graveyard, only to split apart and shoot it at the two duelists.

Celina: 4400 - 3900 life points

Alexis: 4000 - 3500 life points

“We are still standing!” yelled out Alexis, but something about their expression’s rubbed both of them the wrong way.

“True, but Bastion, what is their other effect?” spoke out Jaden, in a way that just sounded wrong as he looked at his duel partner, who had a grin on his face.

“Oh, to answer your question, Jaden my friend, when it is sent to the graveyard due to the effect of Blaze Accelerator I can send the other two copies from my deck,” he took out his deck, sent two cards to the graveyard and returned the deck to the duel disk. “And when that happens, all of your monsters are destroyed and due to the effects of the other two copies of Scattershots, you also lose 1000 life points!”

The two duelists widened, but Celina had to act quick, “I activate Lunalight Maroon Mosquito’s effect! When I would have taken effect damage, and in this case also my duel partner, I can banish it, and we gain those life points! And when I chain on destruction of my Lunalight Tiger Dancer, a Trap card, known as Lunalight Resurrection Dance! I can add two Lunalight monsters from my deck to my hand when a Lunalight monster is destroyed!”

“Great move out there, Celina!” yelled Alexis, as two Scattershots appeared from Bastion’s graveyard and destroyed all of their monsters, and tried to attack them, but failed due to a maroon coloured mosquito. As then Celina took two cards from her deck, when her monster was destroyed.

Celina: 3900 - 4900 life points

Alexis: 3500 - 4500 life points

“Okay,” breathed Jaden, “I am getting tired of those life points of gaining cards.”

“Says the guy that has the highest life point counter and has only been attacked once.” pointed out Celina.

“...Touchy.”

“IT’S TOUCHE!” everyone yelled out.

Bastion sighed as he took a card from his hand, “I pass the turn to you, Alexis, by setting a card facedown.” a card was set vertically behind Volcanic Rocket.

Turn 7. Alexis - 4500 lp - 3 cards

Alexis drew her card, and then she saw a perfect combo to defeat Bastion, but first she needed her Rituals in her hand, “I’ll start my turn, by summoning Cyber Egg Angel!” Onto her turn, a small green egg with wings appeared onto the field, and it looked like it was about to crack.

(Cyber Egg Angel: Level 2 - Light Fairy - Attack: 200. Defense: 300.)

She then pointed at her newly summoned, “Thanks to her effect, when she is summoned onto the field, I can add a Ritual Machine Angel Spell card from my deck to my hand.” Alexis took out her deck, took a Spell card and returned it. “Before I can activate it, I will revive my monster thanks to the card, Monster Reborn!”

From her graveyard came a card, to which she took it, “I revive Cyber Angel Idaten!” She placed it on her duel disk, and then a monster with a tight pink suit was summoned onto the field. She had long red hair, a clear white dress around her hips, red gloves and yellow eyes. Around her legs, chest and muscles, she wore a black tight suit.

“When she is summoned onto the field, I can add a Spell card from my graveyard,” Alexis took out a card from her graveyard, and revealed it. It was her Monster Reborn, but she would save it for later, but then she took a card from her hand, “Since my partner was able to summon a new monster, how about I show you mine? I activate Machine Angel Ritual! I use Cyber Angel Idaten and Cyber Egg Angel so I can Ritual summon!”

A statue appeared onto the field, and Idaten and Egg Angel jumped into it for the Ritual for the summon. The statue began shaking, as parts of it began breaking, but then all of it broke into a new monster. The angel had light blue skin with two extra arms. In two of those hands, each had a sword while two of them wielded a staff. She wore an orange armour and wore a dark blue gauntlet on each of her arms. She wore a dark blue and yellow skin suit on her legs and had long dark yellow hair. “Come out, Cyber Angel Dakini!”

“Way to go Lex!” cheered both Jasmine and Mindy at the same time.

Alexis smiled, “When she is summoned onto the field, I can destroy one monster on your side of the field.” Both Jaden and Bastion knew this, they didn’t need to be rocket scientist to realize that she was going after his Volcanic Rocket, since it was the only monster on their side of the field. Cyber Angel Dakini went ahead, and slashed the metallic rocket into pieces. But Bastion had a way around this.

“I activate the graveyard effect of Level Burn! When a monster is destroyed by an effect, I gain the same amount of attack points as the destroyed monster!” he yelled as he took out the Spell card from his graveyard.

Jaden: 5550 lp

Bastion: 2400 - 4300 life points

“Now all of them have over 4000 life points!” yelled Syrus.

“This is so lischus!” yelled Chumley.

“Like that matters, you’re still wide open!” yelled Celina.

“Right, you are, Celina. Go, Dakini attack Bastion directly!” The Ritual monster nodded as she went towards and slashed him with her two swords and hit him with her staff with all of her might, making the Ra Yellow stammer.

Jaden: 5550 lp

Bastion: 4300 - 1600 life points

“Bastion!” yelled all of the Ras, and Jaden, “Are you alright!?”

Bastion returned with a grin, “Why yes I am, and I shall thank you for the generous attack there, since you attacked me and dealt damage, I can activate from my graveyard, Volcanic Counter!” He said as he took the card and a Scattershot out of his graveyard, “When I would take damage from an attack, while this card is in my graveyard, I can banish it and a fellow Fire type monster from my graveyard, so I can deal damage equal to the amount that I took!”

“What!?” yelled their two opponents as Counter appeared in front of Bastion and attacked Alexis.

Celina: 4900 lp

Alexis: 4500 - 1800 life points

“Now, that’s what I call a comeback!” yelled Jaden as Celina was worried for her partner, but a grin appeared onto her face.

“Not bad,” she wiped her mouth. “I end my turn.”

Turn 8. Jaden - 5550 lp - 1 card

Jaden was really in a pickle here, in his hand, he had Card Of Compensation, a useful card when sent to the graveyard, but not a card he needed right now. He needs to draw the right card, or else he and Bastion are finished. Either a Trap that stops them, or a card that helps him Fusion summon. Anything really.

So he drew his card and opened his eyes, and smiled. “Perfect!” he thought as he inserted the card in his duel disk, “I guess it's time to do something about your monsters, huh? I activate the Spell, Double Spell!” The crowd gasped as Zane leaned in, “I send 1 Spell from my hand to the graveyard, so I can activate a Spell that my opponent used!” he did so, “Now which card shall I choose? Oh I know, Fusion Birth!”

A card from Celina’s graveyard flew to Jaden’s hand, but he wasn’t finished, “When Card Of Compensation is sent to the graveyard, I get to draw two cards!” he did so as he inserted Celina’s card into his duel disk, “Now time for me to Fusion! I can now send 5 cards, and I can then Fusion summon!”

He did so and the cards he sent to the graveyard were: Elemental HERO Avian, Pot Of Greed, Insurance, Transcendent Wing and Elemental HERO Clayman. Better than nothing. “I fuse my Avian and Clayman so I can Fusion summon!” His feather hero and hero made out of clay appeared onto the field, only for it to be sucked into a Pink-Blue Spiral Vortex.

From the Vortex came out a Hero with Clayman's type of body, but was covered by quills, feathers and was way more slimmer than the Earth Hero, it then posed in a X position. It was a new Hero monster! “I summon the Hero that combines both speed and defense, Elemental Hero Feather Giant!”

The crowd went wild as they saw a new Hero fusion that they have never seen before, but the weird thing is, its defense took all of the stats, but the monster looked like it could have some of the attack stat. What they don’t know, not even the ones that were dueling right now, it was perfect for this situation.

Jaden thought about it for a while, sure it would be more logical, hey a new word to his vocabulary, to attack Celina while she is wide open, the defense would be cut half if he would attack directly, so he decided to go after Alexis, “Feather Giant can attack while its in defense mode, but his defense is treated as his attack stat so here we go! Attack with Feather Slash!”

The Wind Fusion Hero went ahead and decided to sucker punch Dakini, but the Obelisk Blue won’t let that slide, “Nice try, Jaden! But I banish Machine Angel Ritual from my graveyard, to negate the destruction!”

“Yeah, but you still take the damage!” Jaden yelled as Feather Giant smacked Dakini in her face, but it wasn’t enough to destroy the powerful Ritual monster.

Celina: 4900 lp

Alexis: 1800 - 1500 life points

“Better than nothing, I suppose. It would have been a better idea to strike the one that didn’t have a monster on her side of the field, but I presume you wanted to beat a monster so I would have the chance of defeating. Am I right?” asked Bastion, as he said that with no venom in his voice, or any anger, he was just curious about his friend’s thought process.

Jaden sadly nodded, “Yeah, I guess I should have attacked Celina directly, huh?”

“I understand that, but there is always room for a better move, just not right now.”

Jaden nodded as he took two cards from his hand, “I throw down 2 cards face down, and it's your move, Celina.” two cards were set vertically behind the Feather Giant.

Turn 9. Celina - 4900 lp - 2 cards

It was now Celina’s turn, and it feels like it will be difficult for both of them to survive this judging by the reactions of her face. She inserted the card, “I activate Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards,” she did so, “for the price of discarding 2 and I will choose my two Lunalights that I added a few turns ago!” she discarded two cards from her hand.

“But now the discarded effect of Emerald Bird is now activated! When it is sent to the graveyard, I get to special summon a Lunalight that is level 4 or lower, so come out, Lunalight Rainbow Chameleon!” as then a feminine chameleon was summoned onto the field, with a rainbow colouring scheme.

Celina then pointed out, “Her effect allows me to change its name, for only a Fusion summon so I will activate Lunalight Fusion!” A Purple-Blue-Red Spiral Vortex appeared onto the field, “This card allows me to use a Lunalight monster from my Extra Deck if you control a monster that was summoned from your Extra Deck, so I send Lunalight Cat Dancer to the graveyard, so she can fuse with Rainbow Chameleon!”

Her favourite Fusion Lunalight monster appeared on the field, only for her and Rainbow Chameleon to be sucked into the Purple-Red-Blue Spiral Vortex. From the vortex came out a panther with a similar style of the Cat and Tiger Dancer, and the same monster that finished Syrus.

“And now I will activate Lunalight Mischievous Dance!” Bastion widened his eyes at the name of the card, “I target 1 monster on your and on my side of the field, and then my monster gains 1000 extra points on each stat, and the opposite goes for you!” Celina pointed at Feather Giant and then on her Panther Dancer.

Elemental Hero Feather Giant: 3000 - 2000 defense points

Lunalight Panther Dancer: 2800 - 3800 attack points/ 2500 - 3500 defense points

“Jaden! We mustn't forget the other effect of giving the monster piercing damage!” yelled Bastion, but that would have done anything.

Celina yelled out, “Like that will stop both of you! Panther Dancer attack Feather Giant, and due to her effect, she can attack twice! Now go, attack with Ripping Frenzy!” Jaden’s eyes widened as Panther Dancer jumped up and struck a killer combo on the Wind Hero that made it explode.

Jaden: 5550 - 3750 - 1950 life points

Bastion: 1600 lp

With that, all of the defense of Jaden and Bastion were destroyed in a single attack, and if he didn’t gain life points, he would have most likely lost on this turn. Jaden took a breath as Celina took a card from her hand, “Only a few more turns, and we won, I end my turn with a face down.” a card was set vertically behind the Panther Dancer.

Turn 10. Bastion - 1600 lp - 1 card

It was now Bastion’s turn, and he had to do something. All he has is a Blaze Accelerator and a Trap that won’t really help him right now, he needs a perfect card to deal with this situation, “I draw!” he drew his card and he looked at it and smiled, “This card might not be the one that will destroy your monsters, but it will help me get some much needed cards for this, I activate Pot Of Avarice! I pick 5 monsters from my graveyard,” he took all of the Volcanics in his graveyard, but they were only 4 of them, he looked at Jaden, who nodded, so he took his Feather Giant in his own Extra Deck, “And then I get two draw two cards!” he yelled as he drew two of them.

His eyes widened, all of it was perfect for this, “I sacrifice Blaze Accelerator, for an upgraded version! My Continuous Spell card, Tri-Blaze Accelerator!” Bastion yelled as his gun was changed into missiles!

Celina widened at the sound of that, “Wait, did he get THAT card in his hand already!? But, I do have something for that.” she said as she looked at her set card.

“Judging by your expressions, you all know what’s going on, right?” Bastion let out a small laugh, “Well, I guess it's no time to sugar coat this, I sacrifice my Tri-Blaze Accelerator, so I can special summon Volcanic Doomfire!” Before anyone could react to the fact that he needed to sacrifice a Spell for a special summon, their thoughts were ruined as a big fire appeared onto the field.

“I guess it's time to see what Bastion is really made out of, huh Honest? I heard that Doomfire is a rare card that only the top ranking student in West Academy has, but I guess Bastion also has it.” said Zane as Honest nodded, while watching the duel.

From the fire appeared a monster that is only described as coming from hell itself. The monster's heat was strong enough to catch many student’s hair and clothes on fire, specifically Raizou and Taiyou. Its hair is literally made out of fire and magma, the skin was made out of the toughest charcoal. It had a tail strong like iron, but the size of Bastion. The only part of it that wasn’t made out of charcoal was its arms, but they were hotter than Chumley’s hot sauce, which was impressive.

(Volcanic Doomfire: Level 8 - Fire Pyro - Attack: 3000. Defense: 1800.)

The Ras went wild, even Satyr nodded approvingly as he saw his star pupil summon one of the strongest monsters, and scariest monsters, that Duel Monsters could make. The rest of the Teams were also cheering as the monster was summoned onto the field, they couldn’t help it. That monster is awesome. Chumley did have to calm Syrus down when the monster was summoned onto the field.

Even the duelists themselves had to admire the monsters, but the only ones to voice their thoughts, “That is…”

“Magnificent, vigorous, majestic?”

“AWESOME! I can’t wait to take that thing down when we beat them!” yelled Jaden, as the other duelists looked at him.

“When? No, IF!” said Alexis, as Celina grinned as well.

“We will see about that, Doomfire has the ability to destroy all monsters on my opponent's side of the field and deals 500 points of damage for each monster, when it destroys a monster by battle! And I will engage right this moment! Go, Volcanic Cannon!” yelled Bastion as Doomfire shot the fire at Dakini, but Celina, unfortunately, had to step in.

“No you don’t! I activate the Trap, Waboku! This card prevents battle damage and battle destruction until the end of the turn!” yelled Celina as the fire bounced off Dakini and went straight to the roof, making a dent on it.

Sheppard sweatdropped, “I have to call Seto to fix that one, huh?”

Bastion gripped his hand, he was this close to defeat at least Alexis, but that couldn’t have happened. He looked at his hand and sighed, “I end my turn with a face down, your move Alexis.” a card was set vertically behind Doomfire.

Turn 11. Alexis - 1500 lp - 2 cards

Alexis drew her card and she smiled, a smile so sick and vile it shook the two duelists to their core, “Something bad is going to happen.” She then inserted the card into her duel disk, “Well, boys, its been fun, but me and Celina are about to duel so I am gonna make this short, I activate the Ritual Spell, Machine Angel Ritual!” “Another one!?” as then a statue appeared onto the field, “I sacrifice my Cyber Angel Dakini so I can Ritual summon!”

Dakini went ahead towards the old statue, and it began breaking just like before, but this time, it wasn’t a Dakini, it was a new monster. A deity of beauty and power all in one, but a light so bright, it nearly burnt the entire Duel Arena. And then the monster revealed herself as soon as the light stopped shining. The monster had pale white skin, it wore a tight yellow skin suit with red gauntlet on each of her hands. She wore light white hair. On her hands she wore a Kusanagi, a powerful sword able to rule Japan itself. Her clothes pattern was that of the Sun, like she was a goddess of it. “Show your Light, Cyber Angel Amaterasu!”

Many students, like Doomfire before, couldn’t help, but look at it with awe. The monster didn’t look like one, but rather that of a deity. The sheer beauty and power of it alone could stop anything if she wanted to. Many even so much wanted to change teams only for them to be in this for the goddess.

Jaden and Bastion took a step back at the monster, while Celina and Alexis grinned, as the Obelisk Blue took out a card from her hand, “I won’t stop there, I activate Monster Reborn!” She took out a card from her graveyard to her hand only to place it on her duel disk, “Revive, Cyber Angel Idaten!”

Celina then pointed out, “Don’t forget her special ability! She can take a Spell back to her hand!” Alexis did so, only to activate once again, this time on her Dakini.

(Cyber Angel Dakini: Ritual - Level 8 - Light Fairy - Attack: 2700. Defense: 2400.)

Everyone did the math, and they found out that Jaden and Bastion will lose the duel if they didn’t do anything. “Ahh man, this is horrible!” yelled Syrus as Chumley couldn’t help but agree with this. What can they do against this!?

“Cyber Angel Amaterasu attacks your Doomfire with Wrath of the Sun!” yelled Alexis as Amaterasu went in and charged in on the Fire Pyro type monster with her sword, but Jaden was one, or two steps ahead.

“Sorry, Lex, but this won’t end here! I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Flute of Summoning Kuriboh! I can special summon a Winged Kuriboh from my deck! Come here, my buddy!” Jaden took out his deck, took his furball and summoned it on his side of the field.

(Winged Kuriboh: Level 1 - Light Fairy - Attack: 300. Defense: 200.)

Celina raised her eyebrow, sure that would help Jaden in this, but how would that help Bastion. But then, like a lighting bolt, the idea struck her, “Wait, don’t tell you are-”

Jaden grinned, “Oh yes I am, I am going to end this Battle Phase by activating Super Junior Confrontation! The attack is stopped and both of our weakest monsters get to duke it out and after it would be the end of the Battle Phase!” he yelled as his Winged Kuriboh and Alexis’ Idaten went ahead and attacked each other, but the little furball was defeated in a short notice.

The Battle Phase was over, Bastion and Jaden should be easy, but why does it feel like that wasn’t over. The look of their faces and the way that Amaterasu was looking at both of them, were nerve-racking, like they would be defeated right now.

“Nice going you two, but Alexis, what does Amaterasu do?” asked Celina.

“It destroys one monster on the field, and the opponent loses life points equal to its attack points.” Jaden and Bastion widened, they will lose to the effect! “Now I will destroy Doomfire! With Wrath of the Sun!” Amaterasu lowered her sword to point at the monster, and shot a tiny, but powerful blast made out of the energy of the Sun and destroyed Doomfire.

Before the blast could reach our favourite raven and brown haired duo, the Ra Yellow activated his set card, “Not so fast! I activate the Trap, Counter Strike! I negate the effect damage me and Jaden would have taken and send the damage directly to you two!” A cylinder-like object appeared and it sucked in the attack and blasted towards Celina and Alexis.

The Obelisk Blue then pointed at her Ritual monster, “I am sorry, but that won’t be happening! I activate her other effect! By negating the effect damage I would have taken, I can choose one opponent to send it towards them!” she then pointed at Bastion, “You played a good game, but this is it! Go!” Amaterasu then struck the blast coming towards her and shot it at the Ra Yellow, going full circle.

Many of the Ra Yellows and people on Team Bastion, even Jaden, yelled out for the Ra Yellow, “BASTION!”

Bastion stood tall as he looked at the other duelists that were still in play, making Crowler silently cheer, making Celina or Alexis the school representative going perfectly.

BASTION MISAWA: LOST!

While Satyr was sad that his best student was down, being disappointed wouldn’t be the correct way to describe it. While Bastion always got countered on what he did, getting back up and trying a different strategy was the best way to describe a duelist. Just getting this far is what made him proud, but it looks like it isn't down for the count yet.

“I may have fallen down, but I have some fight left in me! I activate the Trap, Last Hope From A Friend! This trap only activates when either Jaden or me lost all of our life points, the other duelist gets to draw a card! Jaden,” he smiled, “Even if all of my calculations may not agree with me on this, you can win this.”

“Thanks, Bastion and I will make you proud! I draw!” he yelled as he drew his card.

It was now almost done, just him left and Celina and Alexis could duel it out, Jaden only has one card left, but why do they get the feeling that they will lose? Alexis shook her head as she looked at Celina, who is currently looking at her field and graveyard. Alexis did the same, but she had nothing left. She looked at him, “You can go, Jaden.”

Turn 12. Jaden - 1950 lp - 1 card

Jaden took a deep breath, right now he is dueling two people at once, and two of them were as tough as they come. In his hands was a Continuous Spell card that can help survive for one turn, but he is afraid that will not be enough. “Here goes something.” He drew his card and smiled.

He put the card down and placed it in his hands. “I activate the Continuous Spell card, Damage Off Zone! With this all damage that we all take is now halved!” he then took the last card from his hand, “Also I throw down a face down and that will do for now!” a card was set vertically in front of Jaden.

Turn 13. Celina - 4900 lp - 0 cards

Celina drew her card, she knew that it would take a monster with at least 900 attack points to finish off Jaden with it due to the effect of his Spell card, but what she drew was way better than that. “Hey, remember that card that you gave me a couple of months ago?” Jaden widened, while Alexis looked confused, but then she realized what she meant by that, “Well, I am gonna activate it! The Continuous Spell card, Lunalight Wolf’s Dance!”

A statue of the Lunalight Wolf appeared in front of her as Celina pointed out, “Remember the effect of Rainbow Chameleon? Well her effect is active even in the graveyard!” The crowd gasped as Banner leaned in with Pharoah in his hands, “Her name is now changed to Panther Dancer so now I will activate my Spell card’s effect! I banish from my graveyard my Panther Dancer, Blue Cat and Emerald Bird so I can Fusion summon an even more ferocious monster!”

Rainbow Chameleon, now looking like the Panther Dancer, Emerald Bird and Blue Cat appeared onto the field, only to be sucked in by a Blue-Black Spiral Vortex. From the Vortex came out a majestic beast, something that a goddess of the Moon. The monster had light black skin, majestic white hair, red dress down to her hips, on her knees were the heads of yellow lions, had black leggings up to her knees, dark red lingerie. All around the monster was fur, on knees, chest, arms and hips. On both of her arms she had long golden rings around her hand. She carried a massive katana able to cut down any monster in her way. She also had a tail that was both light blue and light black, not to mention 3 golden rings around it. “Show of your ferocity, Lunalight Leo Dancer!”

If Alexis had the goddess of the Sun, then Celina had the goddess of the Moon.

Suddenly Bastion was glad that he was knocked down first.

(Lunalight Leo Dancer: Fusion - Level 10 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 3500. Defense: 3000.)

Many students looked in awe at the powerful beast that Celina summoned onto the field, while many other students blushed at the sight of the monster, but a quick glare stopped all of the perverted thoughts. Meanwhile the Slifer Red male was sweating bullets, not only he has to deal with Alexis’ three powerful Ritual monsters, but he has to deal with Celina’s two powerful Fusion monsters.

“Looks like this is where it stops, right Alexis?” Alexis nodded to what Celina said, “Alright then Panther Dancer and then Leo Dancer will finish you off with Ripping Frenzy and Full Moon Catastrophe!” Yelled Celina as both of her Fusion monsters went in for the finishing attack of the brunette, but then his set card was activated.

“Not so fast, Celina! I activate Negate Attack! This card negates your attack and stops the Battle Phase!” yelled Jaden as a barrier appeared in front of him to stop all of the attacks coming towards him, successfully saving him.

Many didn’t know why he activated Damage Off Zone if he would activate Negate Attack, but Zane realized why he didn’t save Damage Off Zone for later, it was so that he had to prepare for a card like Mystical Space Typhoon, that was a smart move on Jaden’s end.

Celina sighed, “He really is a cockroach, impossible to defeat.” she looked at him, “I end my turn here.”

Turn 14. Jaden - 1950 lp - 0 cards

“Alrighty then, time to make something out of this!” he yelled as he drew his card. He frowned, not the card he needed right now, but could help him, “I activate the Spell card, Take Over 5! I send the top 5 cards to my graveyard, and on my next Standby Phase, I get to banish it and draw 1 card.” he said as he took 5 cards from his deck to his graveyard, noting one of them as Wildheart, which might come in handy later.

He straightens his back, “Go ahead, your move.”

Turn 15. Alexis - 1500 lp - 0 cards

It was now Alexis’ turn and she drew her card. Machine Absolute Angel Ritual, not the card she needed right now, but she didn’t need that right now. She had Amaterasu, Dakini and Idaten on her field, monsters that had enough attack points to finish him off, but something about his face was not giving her the right idea, something like this won’t end him.

She shook her head, she will beat him. “You played well, Jaden, but this is over! Amaterasu, Dakini and Idaten, finish him off!” All of her monsters charged in, all of the weapons ready and charged at Jaden.

It caused a massive explosion, making everyone that rooted for Jaden, i.e. Syrus, Chumley and now Bastion, yell for him, “JADEN!” while the rest, even Crowler, cheer as he was finally defeated in a duel, well publicly. Celina and Alexis stared at Jaden, as he was standing with his eyes covered by his hair and his entire field empty. Wait, EMPTY?!

Jaden: 1950 - 975 life points

“WHAT!?” everyone, sans Zane and Honest, yelled at the news, even Bastion, but then he realized what happened, “He used his Spell card, huh? He really is one special specimen.” he thought as he smiled at his previous duel partner.

Jaden revealed his eyes to everyone, “Confused? Well, don’t worry. I will explain it. By halving my life points, I can send Damage Off Zone to the graveyard, and for the rest of the turn, I don’t take any damage! How’s that!?”

Alexis didn’t say anything as she looked at him, “Your move.”

Turn 16. Jaden - 975 lp - 0 cards

Right now, Jaden had no monsters, no Spells and no Traps. His field was empty and his hand was no exception, and from the looks of it, he really couldn’t do anything with his graveyard, but why do people feel like this is going to be the last turn of the duel?

He drew his card, and was disappointed. It was Favourite Hero, a card not really useful in this situation, but he had a chance in his next draw, “Thanks to Take Over 5, I get to draw one more card!” he yelled as he drew his card and he smiled, something is going to happen.

“I have a question, has anyone heard the words ‘Hero’s Come Back’?” everyone widened as he activated his card, “I activate Miracle Fusion! I fuse monsters from my graveyard or field, so I fuse my Elemental Hero Bladedge and Wildheart so I can create an even new Fusion monster!” His Bladedge and Wildheart appeared onto the field, only to be sucked in a White-Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.

From the Vortex came out a Hero that looked like Wildheart wearing Bladedge’s armour on his head, left shoulder and arm, on his crotch and right leg. On his back, he wielded a sword bigger than that of the Leo Dancer’s and on his arm had spikes, ready to use it on its enemies. “Here comes the Hero that combines technology and hunters, Elemental Hero Wildedge!”

(Elemental HERO Wildedge: Fusion - Level 8 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2600. Defense: 2300.)

Like the many of the monsters that came before him, many stared in awe, many got perverted looks on the Hero, but just like the Leo Dancer, a quick glare got them to stop. But the monster was well, weaker by design and stat wise, it could only get over 1 monster, but why was Jaden holding a card?

“Now I know my monster may seem weaker than the others, but how about a little power boost? I activate the Equip Spell, Favourite Hero! It can only get equipped by a Hero monster with 5 or higher levels, but there is an upside. His attack boosted the same amount of his defense point when there is a Field Spell!” Many were shocked at the effect, but there was no Field Spell, what was he going to do?

“Now it’s time to attack!” Wait, attack!? “But thanks to Favourite Hero, I get to search a Field Spell and activate it and the start of the Battle Phase, and here comes my favourite, Skyscraper!” Jaden then took out his card and placed it on his Field zone of his duel disk and many buildings appeared on the spot, similar when he used it against Crowler.

Wildedge: 2600 - 4800 attack points

Before any of them can talk it can only attack one monster, Jaden was faster than them, “Here comes the ability of Wildedge; he can attack ALL of your monsters!”

“HE CAN WHAT!?” yelled Celina, Alexis and Crowler, but before any of them could respond, Wildedge took out his sword and destroyed Amaterasu, Dakini and Idaten in one strike, making Alexis lose all of her life points and her monsters.

Many of the Obelisks and Celina yelled out for her, “ALEXIS!” but nothing could save her.

Celina: 4900 lp

Alexis: 1500 - 0 life points

Jaden: 975 lp

ALEXIS RHODES: LOST!

And just like that, there were only two duelists left to represent them in the school duel, while Fonda was sad, like Satyr, she was happy that she lasted this long and made it this far.

Before any of them could react, Jaden continued, “Celina, don’t forget you are left so Wildedge continues the attack!” Wildedge then turned around and charged at the monsters, the Lunalights tried to fight back, but he was just way tougher as he slashed them like they were demons and like that made an explosion, whipping Celina’s defense.

Celina: 4900 - 3600 - 1600 life points

Jaden: 975 lp

Celina dropped to her knee, but thankfully, she was still in it. Due to Wildedge’s effect, she can not be attacked directly, and all she needed to do was draw into a Spell destroying card, like Mystical Space Typhoon and summon another copy of Tiger Dancer and she is all set, but who said he was done?

“Celina, you played good, but this is over! I activate Favourite Hero’s final effect! When Wildedge destroys a monster, I can send it to the graveyard and he can attack once again!”

“It can’t be!” yelled Celina, as Team Jaden went like crazy while the other Teams couldn’t do anything, but stare.

“Oh it be, alright! Wildedge finish this off!” Wildedge turned around, and didn’t even use his sword, instead he shot spikes on her, ensuring Jaden’s victory.

Celina: 1600 - 0 life points

Jaden: 975 lp

JADEN YUKI: WINNER!

Celina dropped to her knees, as did Crowler, he failed again! She lost. She lost against him. She lost against the person she was, well, trying to overcome, but, no. She lost and he won. She hated this feeling as Jaden pointed his two fingers together and yelled, “That’s game! And a pretty sweet one!” She looked over and saw, Syrus and Chumley going haywire that their best friend won, Zane walking off while nodding, Crowler stomping his way out of here, Banner reaching to his peers like they betted which one of their students would win and Alexis walking over, and she and Bastion congratulated him on his victory. She wanted to be the one who won this, but knew that wouldn’t be the outcome, so she swallowed her pride and walked over and gave him a handshake, “Good job. That was a good duel.”

Jaden smiled as he returned the favour, “Yeah, that was a fantastic one! You were all amazing!” he smiled as the rest smiled, maybe she will get over this.

Sheppard walked to the Duel Arena, while the rest of the Professors exited the arena, including a sad Crowler. He started clapping his hands, “A Splendid duel! All of you did a fantastic job of dueling and showing why you should represent us in the school duel! Now for the ones that lost, don’t be sad that you lost and won’t compete, be happy of your accomplishments and how you got here, and be happy that you were a part of this fun duel!” Sheppard praised them while the ones that lost, nodded their heads, they understood what he meant, and they were happy about that, well one of them was to a certain extent.

“Now Jaden, I am happily welcoming you to represent us in the school duel? What do you say?”

Jaden smiled at Sheppard, “Well, all I gotta say is…that North Academy has to get their game on because I won’t be going down that easily!” He punched the air.

Sheppard laughed, “I like your spirit, Jaden! Now I want everyone to welcome Jaden as our representative!” And the Duel Arena, and Duel Academy was roaring with applause, North Academy is going down!

Meanwhile, somewhere in a shipwreck

A certain Obelisk Blue was on a boat. He had raven coloured hair and was gripping the water bottle in his hands, that was the last sip of the water. His family’s yatch was taken down and he was on it, he felt like he couldn’t even hear his duel spirits anymore. He planned on going to North Academy, but nothing, his ship was wrecked. For some reason he felt he heard a submarine beneath him.

He looked over and imagined a kid with brown hair making fun of him, he snarled. “One day, Jaden, I will get my revenge.” said the Obelisk Blue as he revealed himself. It was…

Authors Note:

Holy BEEP on a BEEP sandwich that was long! A whole 14k long chapter! Why did I do this to myself!? Well anyways hope you enjoyed the chapter. I decided to make a Tag Team duel since I plan on making more in the season and way later on! I loved Bastion’s duel with Jaden in the original Canon, but I wanted to make something special, aka 2v2!

I always loved these in the show and in other fanfictions so I decided why not? I decided to make Alexis one of the duelists to duel here since I never understood why she didn’t in the first place, but whatever.

I completely decided to remove Gerard in this since he added nothing in the Canon. He didn’t send a report about this crazy ass school for a Field Spell and a kid that said something nice about him. Not to mention he wouldn’t fit in this! If you liked him, I am sorry, but I had to.

Anyways, next chapter it’s Chazz Time! And his birthday is coming soon, and I hope I can write at least a couple days after it. I plan on adding 1 character in it, and he is a fun one, let’s say it is very clear on who I am going to add if you watched the dub.

I plan on making a Card database for the cards that I made up, just maybe after chapter 10 or 11.

Before I go, I need to tell you that soon, when I am posting this, I am going on vacation so if the next chapter or the chapter after that is late, you know the reason.

Level Burn: A card that I wrote for giving Jaden and Bastion a head start.

Lunalight Restoration Dance: A card that gives both life point advantage and card advantage if you use the correct card.

Lunalight Marron Mosquito: An Air Hummingbird, but for Lunalights

Lunalight Tiger Dancer: Why didn’t they make a Tiger Fusion monster for Lunalights? This probably gonna be used more later on.

Elemental HERO Feather Giant: I wanted to make a Fusion of Avian and Clayman, so why not? Also yes, his effect is similar to that of the Superheavy monsters.

Lunalight Rainbow Chameleon: Basically a Mystical Sheep 1# for Lunalights.

Cyber Angel Amaterasu: I wanted to make a new Boss monster for the Cyber Angels, so why not? Their names are based on Japanese deities.

Counter Strike: I wanted to make an anime style card that bounces off the effect damage.

Last Hope From A Friend: A card that I will 100% make characters use more if I plan on more Tag duels.
