They could never make me hate Maiko when Mai was willing to die for him and Zuko looks like a dopey puppy every time she is involved and Mai will let her walls down around him and Zuko is the only one who can earnestly make her laugh and Mai threw mud at him when they were kids and Zuko was so ready to jump to her defense when Azula lit a apple on fire on her head and Mai can touch his scar like it’s not even there and Zuko thinks she’s so beautiful when she hates the world and Mai trusts him so implicitly that she’d betray her nation, friends, and family for him and Zukos only regret when leaving the fire nation was also leaving her and Mai tries her hardest to work past her own issues to support him in his struggles and Zuko genuinely loves it when she expresses herself and Mai who doesn’t like hugs will be so cuddly and touchy only with him and Zuko knows she doesn’t need anyone to protect her and Mai loves him more than she fears Azula…
Maiko the ship that you are… they could never make me hate you

i’m going to inject the aesthetic of the greatest living show into my bloodstream do gotta warn that if you’re planning to watch, it gets graphic at the end
it has dismemberment/decapitation and body horror so it’s definitely one of the darker songs toby fox and itoki hana worked on

No airports and no fights:
A/N: Thank you @nattinatalia for all your help with this fic. I couldn’t have done it without you. 😌 (Also, do y’all like the play on words of the title? Haha.)
Tumblr media
You, Hazel, and Jade were sitting in the living room, on the floor. Jack had left over an hour ago to go to an event in another state, it was supposed to be a quick trip so there was no reason to make it a family event.
“Mommy, yous can be the princess, just this time” Jade put the crown on your head.
“Thank you baby bug” you giggled as Hazel handed out the tea cups.
Before you could start your tea party your phone rang, and you saw that it was Jack. “Hold on babies, I’ll be right back.”
You stepped over into the hallway with the girls still in view, “What’s up? Everything okay?” You knew the weather had been unpredictable lately and you had warned Jack that he should’ve left earlier in the day but he was stubborn and didn’t listen.
“No, they won’t fucking clear us to leave. I’ve asked to get on another flight with a different airline but they still can’t make it happen.”
You sighed, resisting the urge to blatantly tell him “I told you so.” The upside was that this was just business and not a show but you knew he didn’t want to hear that either. “So, are you rescheduling?”
“Well, I don’t have a fucking choice, do I?” He spat.
“Don’t come home with all that attitude, I’m serious Jackman. I’ll see you when you get here” You hung up on him, knowing all too well that he’d be extra annoyed at that but you were frustrated that he cussed at you.
You fixed your facial expression and went back into the living room.
“Is daddy coming back home?” Hazel eyed you up and down, you were never able to keep things from her.
“Yeah, the plane wasn’t cleared, so he’s headed back” you half smiled, trying to hide your frustrations.
“Yous told him the weather was bad” Jade shrugged.
You carried on with your tea party with the girls, eventually putting some homemade cookies in the oven as they helped you.
The front door slammed shut, and you heard the jiggling of keys as Jack entered the house.
Jade and Hazel jumped at the sound, you walked into the living room to greet your husband.
He was on the phone, “I know, it was out of my control Nee- I already rescheduled.” He sat on the couch and you decided it would be best to leave him alone for now.
“Mommy? We can have a cookie?” Jade pointed at the batch of cookies that was already finished. You instructed her and Hazel to have a seat at the table as you gave them both two cookies.
They were both giggling and just generally being kids but Jack was already at the height of his annoyance as he continued to speak to Neelam.
“GIRLS! PHONE!” He points to his ear and Hazel looked up at you, not phased but Jade on the other hand was a lot more sensitive and started to cry.
“Why is he acting like he can’t leave the damn room?” You mumbled to yourself as you comforted your youngest daughter.
“I’ll be right back” You kissed Hazel's forehead and left the room to console Jade.
When Jack got off the phone, Hazel was watching him from the table through narrowed eyes. She was not happy about her dad's behavior.
Jade came back into the room, running over to Hazel immediately.
“Your bad day is not an excuse to treat our children like shit,” you said through gritted teeth, quietly enough for them to not hear.
“I’m not doing this tonight” he scoffed, grabbing his car keys.
“Jackman, where are you going?” You were shocked at his behavior.
“Why is he being so mean?” Hazel asked frustrated at her dad's actions.
“Urbans place” he pouted as he shut the door. He heard Hazel and knew she was right, but he was too irritated to admit his faults at the moment.
You wanted to scold her and tell her not to discuss her dad that way but you couldn’t make an excuse for him at the moment.
“Your dad just gets stressed about work and sometimes he doesn’t handle it the best” you sighed.
“He needs to say sorry to Jadey” Hazel crossed her arms.
“It’s okay, he didn’t mean to be a big dumb meanie” Jade shrugged making you and Hazel giggle a little.
“He’s still your daddy, even when he’s not being so nice so let’s be respectful” You gave them both a stern look.
************
Jack arrived at Urban's house, ready to vent.
When Urban opened the door he was surprised to see Jack there. “Why aren’t you home with your girls?” He let Jack inside, waiting for an answer.
Jack let out a big sigh as he scratched his beard. “I kind of went off on them” he hated to admit it.
Urban pauses the movie he had on previously. “You went off on the girls? You?” He asks surprised knowing this was out of character “What could possibly make you do that?”
“Today just has not been my day and I took it out on y/n and the girls. I made Jade cry and Hazel looked at me so disappointed, so I just bailed and here I am.”
“Dude? What the fuck? You usually don’t mix work and home life.” Urban shook his head.
“Neelam was chewing me out and telling me how unprofessional I was being for leaving last minute and that I made her look bad. I was just overstimulated and acted like an asshole” he sighed.
“Mhmmm” Urban nods. “Stay here until you’re calm because if you make my nieces cry again, I’ll have to beat your ass” he joked and Jack just laughed but knew he was being serious.
“Want something to drink?” Urban stood up walking to the kitchen. “I have some of that Phocus still.”
“That works” he sat back on the couch.
Urban walked into the kitchen, sending you a quick text to let you know Jack was there and that he was okay, knowing you’d worry.
Jack stayed at Urbans for a few hours, watching movies and playing video games but he felt guilty, checking the time.
“Going home?” Urban urged.
“Kicking me out?” He joked.
“I’m just saying I’d go home before your ass has to sleep on the couch with that S-shaped spine of yours” Urban joked back.
“Thanks, man” They did their signature handshake before he was on his way back to you.
************
When Jack walked back into the house he heard the water in the bathroom going, and he realized it was almost bedtime.
He quietly approached the three of you, you ignored his presence as you leaned against the bathroom wall.
“Daddy? You still grumpy?” Hazel asked as she finished brushing her teeth.
“No baby, I actually wanted to know if I can tuck you and Jadey in tonight. Without mommy? I wanted to apologize to you both.”
“I’m okay with that if mommy is?” Hazel and Jade looked over at you. You kissed them both goodnight and left Jack to handle things.
“I forgives you Daddy” Jade giggled reaching out for him as he carried her to her room, letting Hazel know he’d be right there.
“Jadey, I’m really sorry that I raised my voice and upset you. I never meant to scare you or make you cry” he confessed as he covered her with her blanket.
“It’s forgiven! I love you!” Jade giggled as Jack kissed her goodnight and exchanged I love yous.
He went over to Hazel's room next, knowing she wouldn’t be so easily impressed by his apologies.
“Hazel, can I come in?” He stood in the doorway.
“As long as you don’t bring your bad vibes in here” she groaned and Jack tried to stifle a laugh knowing she definitely got that phrase from her Uncle Urb.
He walked in her room, kneeling at the bed. “I didn’t act so nice today did I?”
“You made my Jadey cry, so no” she wouldn’t look at him.
“I’m sorry that I did that and I’m sorry that I upset you too. I shouldn’t have brought work home with me and I can’t apologize enough.”
“It just makes me sad when you and mommy are arguing and then Jade is crying and it’s” she sighed “a big mess and because I’m the older sister I have to take care of everyone.”
Jack knew where Hazel was coming from, as the oldest son he often felt the weight of the family on his shoulders.
He apologized to Hazel and let her know that her one and only “job” was to be a child and that he understood her feelings.
Hazel was understanding, and accepted his apology which he was grateful for but he knew you wouldn’t be easy on him.
As he entered the bedroom, you were barely getting into bed.
“Y/N?”
“I washed your sweats, they are on your pillow” you mumbled.
“Baby, can we talk?”
“Sure” you sighed, looking over at him.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have acted out the way I did” he admitted.
“You’re right. You also shouldn’t raise your voice at or in the same room as our children and you know that” you scolded.
“Baby, I admit it. I was wrong and I’m sorry that I hurt you too” he quickly changed into his sweats before crawling into bed beside you. “I made a promise and tonight I didn’t keep it.”
Hearing those words hit you right in the gut, when you and Jack decided to have children you discussed with him all of the things you didn’t want to expose your children to and you knew he was referring to that.
“You’re human and I know that. I just hated seeing Jade cry like that, it made me think of-“ You swallowed hard and he just nodded, holding you against his chest.
“I’m sorry baby, I’m so sorry” he whispered.
“I forgive you” you mumbled.
“Promise? I hate when you’re mad at me.”
“Pinky promise” you sniffled holding your pinky up.
“I hate when you make me mad” you teased making you both laugh.

jadey jade hi!! i hope ur well!!! for hurt/comfort i’m thinking jonathan & anxious reader perhaps. like she’s having a panic attack and he is just very very wonderful and holds her hand and helps her get her breathing back to normal <3 it’s ok if u don’t wanna do it lov u
thank you for your request!! love u ♥︎ fem!reader TW panic attack
Jonathan has a scary sixth sense for this kind of stuff. You've barely realised yourself what's happening when he's offering his hand through the merged crowd of your friends and pulling you toward clearer ground. Not far, but enough to give you some privacy.
Grass crushed under your feet, you take awkward, near wobbly steps and come to a pause behind a big maple tree shedding leaves. You watch one drift down on the breeze behind his shoulder.
"What's freaking you out?" he asks gently.
You take a shallow breath. "Um."
He smiles. "That freaks me out, too," he says, offering his other hand. You grab at him like a lifeline. He doesn't complain.
"Listen to my breathing," Jonathan says, taking a slow, unhurried breath.
You copy his movements, eyes everywhere and nowhere. You stare at his eyes, the little lines underneath and his straight lashes, then his cheeks, his neck and that tiny beauty mark on his right side. You lean into his hands, too much of your weight but he doesn't complain, only let's his hands slide further and further up your arms to keep you steady.
"You're okay," he says, speaking with a sweet surety, like it's not even in question. "You're good. Do you wanna sit down?"
You settle on your knees and Jon sits with you, joined hands resting warm as the sun over both kneecaps. He waits with you until you're through the worst of it, and though he tries to hide it there's the slightest hint of panic in his own expression, worried when you hang your head and squeeze his hands. You're sure you'll pass out, but slowly you're okay, you're on the other side of it, and the painful ache in your chest becomes a manageable twinge.
He laughs. Not cruelly — Jonathan doesn't have a mean bone in his whole body. A huffing, light laugh, relief plain as day in the way he strokes your wrist.
"You did so well," he murmurs, brushing the side of his pinky finger over your baby hairs.
"I thought I was gonna die."
"Like I'd let that happen."
You pull his hand back to your face, cheek heavy in his palm.
A leaf falls down and lands on your head. Jonathan laughs again, a real, hearty laugh as he pulls it from your hair, spinning the stalk between his fingers.
"It wanted to make sure you're okay," he says.
Are you okay? You nod at him. "I'm okay."
He strokes down the bridge of your nose with the leaf. "Good, I need you to be okay. I don't think I can survive Will's friends by myself."
"They're your friends, too," you say.
"Yeah, maybe." He draws a circle around the apple of your cheek. "You're my favourite one, though."
Jonathan helps you back onto your feet and tucks the lead behind your ear. He holds your face in both hands, turning it from one side to the other like he's assessing before he presses a dainty kiss to the corner of your eye. Your heart races for a brand new reason.

Author question tag game thing
Thanks for the tag, @waitingondaisies!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
- 76
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
- 619,841
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I've only written for Marvel, and most specifically Irondad. I'm curious to see if that will change at some point.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Emergency Contacts 1684 words
Cutting Remarks 5754 words
Better Than I Was 1969 words
Sick Day Shouldas 2631 words
Outside Insights 3201 words (All of these are from my Strands in the Rope series!)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try really hard to respond to almost every comment. But I'm slow sometimes.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Pretty sure none of my fics are angsty at the end. But there's a lot still up in the air in Visiting Hours and it's not a real fix-it. Mostly just some comfort after a bunch of bad (thanks, Marvel) stuff.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Um, they pretty much all have happy endings. But maybe From the Same Star, or its sequel, Cracks in the Soul.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No? Not yet? But a few people who have disagreed with things, or pointed some weaknesses out, which is fine.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do not.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
They don't usually appeal to me.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not completely
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
Maybe Spock and Uhura (from the reboot)? Or honestly, Peter and Hallie from my soulmate stories. I'm a little more into found family than romance right now, but I still enjoy it.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
The AU of my AU. I started writing it because I was so curious about it, but I don't know if I'll ever post it or not, and if I never post it, I won't have any perceived pressure to help me finish it. ADHD (for me) means
16. What are your writing strengths?
Communication and characterization? I've had some good look with my OC's so far, and people (including me) have really liked them, so that's fun.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Brevity, action scenes, favoring best-outcomes instead of realism, plot in general.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
It's rough. I'll do short phrases in Italian (and I've been studying it in duolingo for like 5 months now, just because I wish I was better at it) but I usually opt to write it out in English and delineate that they're speaking something else.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Marvel
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
How could I possibly choose? Several are favorites for different reasons. I feel like I just want to cheat here and say Strands in the Rope. If it wasn't split into different stories, it'd just be a 180k story... (encompassing like 2 years)
I tag @itsmechara426, @celestialseawitch-ff, @niniblack, @jadeys-world, @grumperella, @fotibrit, @katinamoon

Hmm…i imagine that when we’re old we’ll eventually move back to the countryside. Now he likes to pretend he’s a city boy at heart (but i know he’s a LIAR). Yanno, i think we’ll just want to slow down and really enjoy our later years together. He is SO doting, but he doesn’t smother. Just so very tender and always thinking about ways our relationship can make life easier for each other. Contrary to our dark aesthetics, we do enjoy a bit of pda! In public we’re more subdued, but we’re always touching (holding hands, hand around my waist). He does have a “jadey-sense”…it’s like he just KNOWS when I’m up to some bs in public T_T at home we are SUCH softies! It’s very embarrassing ✋🏽✋🏽✋🏽 he had videos of me speaking to him in a baby voice ITS SICK AND EVIL I TELL U !! he’s a clinger tho (he’ll literally try and fit me into his hoodies w him bc he wants to be skin-to-skin)
Our sex life is quiteeeeeee adventurous (>_<) for the most part we’re pretty receptive to each other's ideas. 💭+ angry memory
Send me a “💭“ and your Muse will experience one of my Muse’s Memories
TG: uuuuuh hey jadey? just thought i should give ya a heads up
TG: but like............
TG: dirk and jakey apparently got back together again
GG: oh you have GOT to be fucking kidding me
Your ears pin back against your head as you continued to read the pink text on your phone. This had to be a joke right? This was what? The fourth time now in the span of the five years you've been on this planet? Did these two ever fucking learn?
You groan as you flop back against the couch, setting your phone to the side to instead drag your hands down your face. It wouldn't end well. It never did. The last time these two had broken up a few months ago had ended with Jake being a wreck for weeks! But here we go again apparently. Like always, these two just had to jump right back in as nothing was wrong!
Honestly, it wasn't like you disliked Dirk or anything. Hell, you two made a pretty good team when it came to the projects you collaborated on. He shared some interests with you, he was probably one of the easier people to talk to when it came to science-related topics, and in a lot of ways, he reminded you of a somehow more socially awkward version of Dave. You liked to consider him a friend.
It just so happened though that this friend was a complete IDIOT who didn't seem to get that he and your ectodad were an absolute DUMPSTER FIRE when they were together romantically.
You couldn't stand the idea of these two morons hurting each other again.
Speaking of though...
You quietly simmer as you hear them walk into the living room behind you. Jake mentions having to go get something upstairs, and when you hear his footsteps fade out you decide you have to get up and say something before this all blows up again. For BOTH their sakes.
"Hey, Strider. We need to talk."

I have some Hisuishipping one shots in my drafts, and wanted to clarify some things.
If it’s just “Hisui” before the title, it’s them as a couple; dating, married, etc. Even before. Ex: “Hisui- First Date”.
If “Fam” is included, it’s focused on them as a family, with their twins Mitch and Jadey. Ex: “Hisui Fam- Ear Piercing”.
WARNING: One of the Fam one shots is going to be sad! Let’s just say... it involves Mightyena.

Wake Up!
|Prompt: Nightmare Comfort | request fill | Jade West x Reader | gender neutral!Reader| Jade, and Reader go to a sleepover at Tori's house prompted by Cat, and You have a nightmare. Jade comforts you. | fluff and a tiny little bit angst |
You had been getting night terrors since you were little. Anything would set them off back then. A stranger on the passing sidewalk who looked at you for a moment too long, the ladybug who had one too many spots, really, everything could have sent you down one nightmare after another. It got better in your teen years, but they still happened, still jolted you awake in a cold sweat, crying nine times out of ten. This is why you were reluctant to accept this slumber invitation. You really almost said no, but Jade had convinced you to go. After all, who would say no to an honest 'please' coming from the normally stone-cold gank.
Jade would have said no as well and just spent the night with you instead, but Cat was tearing up and going on a long-winded speech about how senior year was almost over and how college would separate you all. All of which led up to this moment. You were packing your small overnight bag. Clothes, deodorant, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc., etc. Jade would pick you up and the two of you would face this horrid night together. You did in fact like spending time with Cat and Tori, but your nerves got to you and all you could think about was 'what if I have a stupid nightmare? Like a child! Wake up crying and ruin it for everybody.'
This is what caused you to stare at your shoes the whole ride over, only looking up when forcefully brought back to earth by Jade.
"What were you thinking about?"
"It's nothing, Jade. We should go in now, better get it over with-"
"Y/N were not leaving this car unti-" She was cut off by Cat bounding over from the front door of the Vega's house and over to your passenger side door.
"Hiii!" Cat yelled while twirling a strand of her hair around her finger.
"I tried to stop her!" Tori yelled while following after her, panting.
Jade rolled her eyes and pointed her finger at you.
"We're talking about this later, Y/N. Now let's go, I got your bag."
Jade, You, Cat, and Tori all walked in together. Jade holding both of your bags. (whipped? more likely than you think.)
Cat was the first to jump onto one of the couches, sitting on the right couch, Tori followed her and sat next to her. You and Jade took up the left couch, you laying your head on her shoulder. And every time Cat or Tori sent an 'aww' look your way she snarled.
"So! we should start off with hmmm- oh oh I know! Truth or dare!" That was Cat, and she was buzzing with excitement. You could practically see the happiness seeping from her tone.
"What are we? Ten? No, Cat."  Jade hated truth or dare, or well most times she did. It was only fun when it was in her favor of looking for gossip or stirring up drama.
You, however, were open to the game. Having played it growing up to pass time you didn't mind the small request from the red-headed girl.
"Cmon' Jadey! Please-" Cat tried to speak but Jade cut her off.
"No!" The one word Jade said multiple times a day. It seemed to be her only reaction to things.
You didn't want to see Cat sad or hear for that matter. Cat would start to cry and then all hell would happen, so you took things into your own hands.
"Jade, don't be rude! It's a sleepover! Just play the game, please. For me?" You sat up to look her in the eyes right as you said please. Crossing your eyebrows a touch and only slightly pouting your lips. A look you've perfected to get the girl sitting in front of you into a puddle.
Jade grumbled a 'fine' and the four of you played for an hour. One of the 'truths' being asked by Tori to Jade was "Is it true your whipped for Y/N?". It took you and Cat lots of tiring effort to pull Jade off Tori.
--------
It was two hours since the game. You four were now watching a movie and poking fun at the cliches, well you guys were until Jade reminded you all that every single one of you guys fit into one or another cliche. After a movie or two, you guys ate dinner and just talked until the time came for sleep. Tori slept in her bed, Cat, You, and Jade played a human game of Tetris and managed to fit on the floor
You tried to sleep, you did, but you just couldn't. So once you thought that everybody was asleep you grabbed your phone and scrolled endlessly through Twitter. An hour later and your eyes were getting more and more sensitive to the light, your arms slowly let go of your phone, and you fell asleep.
You woke up in school, you heard nothing but your ragged breath. Everything around you was blurred, and from what you could see there were thick layers of fog. You could make out the familiar bright student decorated lockers that lead you to find out you were in the school. You stepped forward but all you saw was the fog. You walked the familiar way to your favorite acting teacher's room. You walked forward through the classroom door until you almost tripped over something on the floor. You knelt down to get a closer look, but you wished you hadn't. You had thought you just tripped over a chair or miss placed item, but what you tripped on was far worse. It was jade. A bloody Jade. A dead Jade. Your heart stopped, and you stopped. All you could do was stare. You wanted to scream, to run, to hug her, to help her. But all you could do was stare. Eventually, it stopped. You leaned forward and grabbed onto Jade's shoulders.
"Jade?!" Your voice echoed as if in a cave.
"Jade!" You shook her and screamed and cried.
"What happened? Jade? Fuck! No no no!"
Her lips, looking both pale and blue but also a blood-red moved slightly, saying something.
Tears freely flowed down your face as you leaned in.
"Jade? What is it? Jade!"
No response.
You held her body close and cried, just cried. Although you heard a voice that only got louder.
"Wake up."
"Y/N."
"Wake up!"
You felt as if there was an earthquake and shut your eyes.
But once you opened them all you saw was black and blue hair that you knew to be Jade's. The same Jade that was just dead in your hands. Your arms flew around the familiar body and you held her close while your body shook in tears.
"cmon, Y/N. Up." She gripped your torse and helped you up from your makeshift sleeping bag on the floor to the living room.
You two sat on the couch, you were still crying, silently this time. And Jade was holding you. Long arms wrapped firmly around you, rubbing the small of your back. You weren't sure how long had passed since you woke from the horrible dream. but finally, your tears had dried and you pulled away from Jade.
"Wanna talk about it?"
You didn't. Not one bit. But you knew she would be ever so worried if you didn't. So you pulled it together and nodded.
"It was um a dream- well no- a nightmare."
Jade merely nodded along with every few words you said.
"I get really bad um nightmares, ever since I was little, that why I was in a bad mood when we arrived. Scared of doing what I just did."
"So what was this nightmare about?"
"You."
"oh?"
"I was uh in school, there was a fog, and uh I went to Mr.Sakowitz's room. You were there on the floor-" You started to tear up again. The image of your girlfriend on the floor flooding your mind once more.
"It's okay, Y/N."
"You were there on the floor... bloody, blue, and dead. And I wanted to scream I wanted to do something but I couldn't. All I could do was cry silently and stare. It was horrible Jade! Horrible!"
At this point, you were full-on crying again.
"Here how about this, you go wait in my car, I'll grab our things, and we can go to my house. Okay?"
"But I don't wanna impose- Cat was so happy for this."
"If you don't want to stay you don't have to, if they say anything about it I'll cut em up with my scissors. Okay? Now go," Jade fished through her purse that was thrown on the couch from earlier and handed them to you.
You took them and walked as quickly as you could to Jade's car that was parked out front.
After Jade climbed into the car and drove you back to her place, she made you tea, got out chips and other snacks, and took you down into what she likes to call her 'demon lair'.
You slowly sipped the hot tea while you pushed your body as far into Jade as it would go. You watched a silent film and slowly fell into a dreamless sleep.
Jade took your tea cup and put it on her side table, tucked you in, and held you close to her.
---------
The next morning you woke up to Jade staring at you. "You watching me sleep, spooky lady?"
She shook her head at you and pressed a kiss into your cheek. "Morning,"
You tried to kiss her on the lips but she pulled back. "Morning breath, Y/N!"
Your own face scrunched up and you sat up.
"Sorry," With that you went up the stairs and into the bathroom to brush your teeth.
Jade took the time to call Cat, who she assumed would be up by now.
"Hi, Jadey!"
"Don't call me that, Cat"
"Sowwy!"
"Don't baby talk me either Cat!"
"Anyways. I was calling to say I was sor- sorr- I can't do it- I just- we left early because Y/N's mom needed her and I drove her home. I just didn't come back because it was my chance to escape."
"Okee Dokie! Is Y/N's mom okay?"
"Yeah just, bye."
Jade hung up and turned round to see you smiling at the foot of your bed.
You and Jade ended up meeting back up with Tori and Cat for a day out.
A/N: Woah! me updating- at a semi-decent time? Who knew that was possible, I didn't. I also completely forgot the men in this show existed for a hot second and forgot to write them in. Oops? I only went through this once so- do with that as you will. That is all from me!

Jade: Do inane bullshit with June
Under Jade’s current difficulties at portraying her escapades visually, she sets out on a grand adventure with June, on text! There she is, the little cutie, in her hand. Shrunk down to a mere six inches or so, as the two sisters giggle deviously, a thumb petting through the smaller one’s hair.
JADE: okay, last minute check- you sure this is not too mean?
JUNE: it’s okay, it’s okay, i’ll make a backup i swear.
JADE: so, overview of the prank... tiny you poofs into wind and enters the maryam-lalonde household while i distract kanaya and rose
JUNE: mhmm!
JADE: then you hide using your tiny size as an advantage, and wait for a good moment to use roses laptop... you make a backup copy of her current wizard fanfic, and then use the code in the usb drive i prepared for you to turn her draft into furry owo speak, and change the names of the characters... which still seems a bit mean-spirited
JUNE: oh come on, this is a comeback for the ‘backfiring spell’ shenanigans she always gets a laugh out of at our expense.
JADE: alright, alright... then, with that, were ready to set out to-
Yoink.
Jade doesn’t see him coming. Roxy Lalonde, floating lazily from behind, pinches June right off her hand. The tiny girl squeals and quivers, and Jade’s entire body tenses up at the surprise.
ROXY: heyaaa~ jadey, junebug~ up to no good huh?
JUNE: i um-
JADE: we uh...
ROXY: its okay! i bet u werent doin any devious schemes or anythin!
ROXY: hey so
ROXY: since u were totally not plannin anythin together
ROXY: u dont mind if i borrow june like this 4 a bit right
JUNE: wait what.
JADE: uh... sure! i mean of course! go ahead? since we werent doing anything at all! just messing around! :D
ROXY: sweet! dont worry, ill take good care of her ;)
JUNE: wait- jade? jade!
A glint in the enby’s eyes, and a big grin on his lips, Jade’s sister squirms, face going beet red in Roxy’s grasp, embarrassed. And there they go out the door.
Guess pranking shenanigans will have to wait. Oh well, the dog girl actually feels a bit relieved she didn’t end up going through with the prank in the end!

How about Jack or reader catching Hazel and/or Jade singing one of his songs? And maybe a part they SHOULDNT be singing 😂💀
You and Jack were sitting on the couch in your living room, only pretending to watch the random show that was on your television. The two of you had truthfully just been talking through the entire show and had no idea what was going on or what the plot could even be.
Hazel and Jade had been in their play room giggling for the last hour or so, and you and Jack thought nothing of it. It wasn’t until they two of them came out of their room with a smile, that you thought something of it. Hazel had a big smile on her face and you knew the two of them were up to something.
“What’s all this?” You asked seeing the two of them dressed in both a combination of yours and Jacks clothes. “We have a sir prize for you mommy” Jade giggled and you did too at her mispronunciation. Jack sat up on the couch, leaning his elbows on his knees “okay, lets see it.”
You smiled as Hazel sat her iPad on the barstool next to her. “We want to perform for you like daddy!” You smiled at her enthusiasm, knowing Jack was going to love every minute of this. Jade excitedly jumped up and down.
“Just like we practiced Jadey!” Hazel turned to her little sister who quickly got into character. Hazel started the music and quickly ran back to her spot. You and Jack both immediately realized it was “Like a blade of grass.”
“Like a blade of grass, want sunlight” Hazel smiled as she looked over to her little sister who excitedly screamed “I JUST WANT THAT ASS!” Jack had just taken a drink of his water, which was the wrong thing to do as his youngest daughter caught him off guard. He completely spit his drink out, almost choking on what was left in his mouth. You pat his back as he caught his breath and continued to cough. You tried your best not to giggle at the entire thing playing out in front of you.
Hazel paused the music as Jade continued to sing “ you can’t even get gas without being giraffes.” She turned to Hazel and threw her hands up “why did you stop the music?”
You and Jack couldn’t recover from the giggle fit that your daughters just sent you in and Hazel had her hands on her hips “why are you laughing?”
Jack shook his head and insisted on you being the one to speak.
“I just want to know, why that song?” You giggled and Hazel looked at Jade before looking back at you “Jade wanted to say the ass part.”
Jack squeaked trying not to laugh before abruptly leaving the room so he could and you had to hold back your own giggle while you explained to Jade that she shouldn’t say that word and disciplined Hazel who obviously set Jade up to get in trouble.

                               [Approximately two months later]
It was quite valid to say that, after several long days with Choi Jinah, Han Jisung had become another person, and all in such a dynamic way that the boy, even in his best dreams, imagined that he was capable.
They still hadn't taken any steps, nothing beyond the kisses exchanged at all times and the walks on weekends — unless, of course, the fact that Jinah turned out to be a pervert in the last days (this from Jisung's point of view, who thought it absurd for the girl to let her perverted personality pop out so suddenly, but it was not like he was in a condition to complain about anything at all). In addition, nothing very surprising happened in the meantime. Jinah's disturbed ex-boyfriend was seen only once, but she just ignored. As for Jisung, it was no longer so uncomfortable to meet Chaerin and Seungmin together, although Han's feelings had turned into a ball for a few weeks, but the reason for the mess inside his heart wasn't only due to Kwon. Anyway, it was complicated, although Hwang Hyunjin was showing himself to be a good therapist in his spare time, as at this time.
"You two are what, anyway?" — Hwang asked as they sat at one of the empty cafeteria room tables. The break hadn't yet begun, but their class was so boring that it seemed telepathy that they had decided to leave the room at the same time. — "It's no use telling me that it's friends with benefits, because I won't believe it like the last time" — Hyunjin always stood with one foot behind, wondering if he was being fooled so that the story would repeat again and he'd be one of the last to know something important. One of the biggest contributors to his mistrust was the episode about three weeks ago, when Jisung said that Jinah and he were nothing more than friends with benefits — such an old term! ─ and suddenly they were having a crisis of mutual jealousy. It's okay that Jisung didn't like the way a boy from the Pedagogy class looked at Jinah, and it's okay that Jinah didn't like the way one of the girls in her class got all happy when she was in the same room as Jisung, but, if one thing Hyunjin was sure, was that friends with benefits didn't work that way. It was more for real couple, Hwang could write a college article about it.
"I don't know" — with a shrug and a small smile on his lips, Han replied quietly. — "Since you don't accept the term which, to me, seems appropriate as an answer, I really don't know."
"But, Jisung, it's wrong" — Hyunjin raised his hands and began to list the next items on his fingers. — "You two kiss so much that I don't know how you still have mouths; you go out together almost always; are always messaging and calling each other; you two embrace in public very often; feel jealous; share the same circle of friends after so much coexistence; the two are always with those idiot smiles in the face day and night and, finally, you admitted to me that you're in love with her without me needing to make psychological pressure. If this isn't a couple relationship, I'll resign from this life."
The last item wasn't intentional, Jisung just thought a little too loud. But no one could blame him for falling in love with Jinah, since being able to do otherwise was practically impossible.
There was no way not to fall in love with Jinah, it was unfeasible, unlikely.
"And there's that subject too," — Hyunjin added, now in a lower voice. — "Look, if you admit it too and keep insisting on that indefiniteness, I swear I'm going to be ignorant with both."
"I don't know if I can admit that subject, it's still very confusing... It's early too."
"And since when do these things have a right time?" — Hyunjin asked rhetorically. — "You should be thanking for being so lucky for all this to be reciprocal."
Jisung quickly looked up from the bottle of natural juice that rested beside his phone: — "How do you know that part is reciprocal?"
Hyunjin was caught in the jump and couldn't even turn away from the answer as it sat down in front of him about two seconds later: — "Ask her."
"Ask what?" — Jade's voice was slightly hoarse, denouncing that she had slept during the slide show.
"So are you accomplices?" — Jisung folded his arms, casting an indignant glare at them. — "I thought they would gather to talk productive things, not gossip about your friends."
"But who said it isn't productive?" — the american defended herself. — "Since you two don't talk about it, it's up to other people to do that."
You couldn't even have privacy in your personal life, it was unbelievable.
"And what do you guys know about Jinah that I don't know?"
"Now you're forcing the friendship" — Jade chuckled, refusing to talk about her best friend's confessions. The break signal was triggered at this point, but the distraction didn't stop Jisung from being even more indignant.
"But you told Hyunjin and vice versa!"
"It's different," — Hwang interjected. — "We"— he pointed to Jade and himself — "are mere spectators and friends of the two. If we tell you it's not going to be fun anymore, even though I've already given you lots of spoilers and you're extremely slow because you still didn't understand."
Jisung was thoughtful. One side of him only had to pop the cork from a bottle of champagne, but the other was still unsure. In the rhythm that things were happening, it was better that he resolved his inner conflicts sooner rather than get in the way and complicate matters. He had the mental debates interrupted, however, when he felt a pair of warm arms embrace him in the back as a delicate chin was supported on his shoulder. The smell of peach caught his nose quickly.
"You should wear these glasses more often," — Jinah commented, then sat down next to the boy. — "It makes you look smart, it's not often that it happens."
"And you should shut up before I leave you without teeth."
"How beautiful this relationship" — Woojin laughed and sat on the other side, being accompanied by the new pair of best friends, Chan and Felix, next to Changbin and Yoorim. — "Changing the subject, are you guys going to Yugyeom's party, on Saturday?"
"What party?" — asked Changbin and, judging by the same questioning expression that the rest of them had, he assumed that no one there had been invited.
"I didn't tell you guys?" — Woojin asked back, not getting anything more than negative swings of heads. — "I forgot... Anyway, he asked me to invite everyone, it's a surprise party for his girlfriend."
"But surprise party shouldn't be something intimate, only with important people?" — Felix asked, frowning.
"The more people, the more gifts. You need to wake up to capitalism, my son."
"Where is it going to be?" — Yoorim wanted to know, struggling to remember who Yugyeom was, for she didn't even know that.
"At his house, at nine. It's in Gangnam, then I'll give you the address."
Jade wrinkled her nose: — "Didn't he have a less modest place?" — she joked, emphasizing her displeasure at attending a major event in one of the wealthiest parts of the city. It wasn't a matter of pride, the american, just like Jinah, just didn't feel right through so much luxury and futile people.
"Don't start, Jadey, it'll be cool," — Woojin countered. — "Everyone has confirmed presence, it's not just high society people who will be there."
"Okay, but is it my budget enough to buy a souvenir that, in Sana's case, mustn't be less than a swarovski ring?" — said Chan, sounding falsely thoughtful.
"Do I have to wear an expensive dress?" — Jinah asked.
"No, guys, no" — Woojin put both hands to his head, indignant at how difficult his friends were to understand. He usually had a lot of happiness when it came to persuading people, but it was getting complicated. — "You don't have to wear expensive dresses or buy swarovski rings, it's a normal party with the same normal people you're used to seeing around here everyday."
"We're going," — Hyunjin said, also speaking for Yoorim, who just shrugged. — "But mostly because of Sana, she's nice."
"I think I'm going too," — Felix added, though he had no idea who the girl in question was. He only liked quality food and drink. — "I'll lend you the clothes you said you liked, Chan hyung."
"But I didn't even tell if I'm going..." the australian replied quietly.
"Of course you're going! It's your duty as a best friend to accompany me to places."
"Pleeease," — Woojin clasped his hands in a pleading gesture and wore an expression that looked like a child who wanted candy. Chan rolled his eyes.
"Okay, just don't make me regret it."
Felixcheered as Woojin's eyes flew to the last two remaining couples: — "Jinah?" — he started with the most malleable of the four. Choi stared at Jisung and found herself obliged to ask a question before making any decision.
"You want to go?"
"Do you?" — Han returned it.
"It's up to you."
Finally, Jisung also shrugged and Woojin already faced that simple gesture as the answer he craved, then focusing on the last and most difficult problem that was Changbin and Jade.
"You're not going to do that, are you?" — he began to do emotional blackmail. — "Not accepting isn't cool."
And unlike the imagining, the couple exchanged a look that showed how much they had already surrendered, after all, neither of them was strong enough to deal with Woojin's too much insistence, for they both knew that if they said no, it was likely that Kim made them angry for the rest of the day.
"All right," — Changbin answered. — "But I make Chan's words mine"
"You won't regret it, I assure you" — Woojin had a big smile on his face, which incited Yoorim's curiosity.
"Why do our presence seem so important to you? You never needed any of us to leave the house."
"Girl, you offend me" — Kim's smile was replaced by an insulted expression. — "Can't I want my friends together anymore?"
"But this is not you, oppa, it's wrong."
As Woojin tried to make Yoorim understand that he was only trying to be kinder and more careful with the people he liked, there started a debate involving Hyunjin and the others, Changbin watched the problem approach the table with a stupid smile on his face — smile that he wanted to break. Months could go by and he'd still continue to harbor rancidness through Josh's face, it was utterly and absolutely unavoidable. And as if that weren't enough, the reason for his usual stress was studying Biomedicine, as well as Hyunjin, what resulted in his closeness to the group both because of the ties he had with Jade and the friendship he developed with Hwang. In short, seeing him around was becoming something more common than Changbin would like.
"Hyung, I got the apostille," — Josh said as he stood by Hyunjin's side, extending the bound that Hwang had been needing so much in recent days to do some notes related to the subject of Epidemiology. — "You can keep it until the day of the seminar, I've already got what I need."
"Okay, thank you" — Hyunjin smiled and started flipping through the pages. — "Maybe my grade will change from zero to two and a half, I'm happy."
Josh smiled as well, guiding his gaze to where Jade was sitting. Automatically — just as every time that encounter happened — the american intertwined her fingers with Changbin's under the table.
"Are you going to Yugyeom's party, Jade?" — he asked in an average voice, trying to see if Sana wasn't around.
"Yes, we were just talking about that" — Jade opened a smile that Changbin found unnecessarily gorgeous to send to someone as irritating as Josh. — "Are you going?"
"I'm going, yeah. See you there."
"See you there my ass," — Seo muttered, almost inaudibly, but it was enough to snatch a chuckle from Jinah. "What? You wouldn't like it if it was with you, too."
"But I didn't say anything," — Choi defended herself, though an amused smile was present on her lips. Changbin huffed, both for his friend's attitude and for the discomfort of the situation. The taste of jealousy was, definitely, the most bitter one he had ever had the pleasure of tasting. For a while.
                                  ♡˖°
That same day, Jinah and Jisung took advantage of the fact that they had been released from work earlier and decided to hold their usual late-afternoon gathering at the girl's house.
Maybe it was routine fatigue or any mood swings that were making them talk about the guinea pig promotional prices during the elevator ride to the apartment, something that could be considered a totally random subject that wouldno' add anything too much in their lives, but the important thing was that they were at peace, otherwise, cute little pets would never become main characters in their dialogues.
"I thought you liked cats more," — Jisung said, waiting for Jinah to turn the key in the lock and unlock the door.
"And I do, but little guinea pigs are so cute that there's no one who doesn't love them, truth be told" — after seting her feet in the silent apartment, and Choi turned on the lights and opened the windows. — "They don't make noise, they aren't extremely hyperactive and don't pee on your foot during a distracting moment on your part. It's almost as perfect as a cat."
"I always thought dogs would match you more" — Jisung sat on one of the armchairs in the room. — "Because of personality and such."
Jinah raised her eyebrows for a moment, should she take that as an offense?
"No, I don't have the patience."
Surprisingly, Jisung preferred dogs, but then he remembered all the times that Hyunjin and Yoorim went into serious confrontations to decide who had the best taste for something and came to the conclusion that it would be best not to take that topic much further.
"Wasn't Chan supposed to be here already?" — it was impossible not to notice Bang's absence, since he was always there at those times.
"Maybe he got stuck in traffic or stayed in the hospital to do something else" — Jinah shrugged and started untying her tie. — "The important thing is that we get a few minutes of privacy."
Jisung stared at the scene and laughed weakly. He was sitting with his back relaxed in the chair, having a pretentious Jinah in front of him while, unintentionally, she did some sort of striptease by getting rid of her tie and opening the first two buttons of her social shirt to make herself more comfortable.
"That looks very dirty in my mind."
"And then the pervert who thinks only bullshit is me," — the girl rolled her eyes, reminding herself of all the times that she was taxed that way just to let the progesterone bloom a little too much. — "But since I'm a very nice person" — she smirked —, "I'm not going to leave you with desire, that's unethical."
"The funny thing is that I don't remember saying I had any desire at any moment."
"I'd even believe if you took your eyes off of here," — she said of the little skin that was revealed when she opened the first buttons of her shirt, not slowing to open one more, revealing a little of the neckline. — "But that's what you least did so far."
The same smile also surfaced on Jisung's lips: — "I looked just by looking," — he pretended foolishly, this was becoming his best specialty in the last few days. — "You're the shameless one who hasn't yet learned where to change clothes isn't in the living room, especially when you have a visitor."
"You make me completely unmotivated" — Jinah gave up trying to look sexy, what, in her view, wasn't working at all, and let her arms fall. — "I'm here, trying to be sexy, and you don't even enter the mood. What a horror, Jisung"
"But look at the time you're trying to do this, this room is going to be filled with people soon."
"If I called you to my room, then, would have no more excuse?"
The boy opened and closed his mouth again and again, uncertain about what he could answer and fearing stuttering if he did.
"It's because of your panic that we don't fuck," — Jinah grunted and shook her head in disapproval, then realized what she had just said and was a little ashamed of her own lack of discretion. She decided to go to the kitchen to disguise her merely colored cheeks. — "So what? I didn't want that anyway."
Jisung remained paralyzed for a few more moments before rising and following her. It wasn't panic, it was just Jinah, who couldn't wait for the right moments of things.
"You don't have to come after me. You reject me and I can accept that."
"JinJin, I don't reject you" — Jisung hugged her from behind. Shit, Choi thought. Weaknesses were low blow. — "But you wanted to stay that way in the college bathroom, in my car at noon, at the movies and now in your living room. Do you understand how this can go wrong?"
"But forbidden is always better."
"Better for you, the inconsequential one" — Jisung turned her face to face, tearing the little pout into her lips with a peck. — "I'm not leaving here, we still have plenty of time for this."
Jinah didn't want to get so emotionally soft whenever Jisung wore that affectionate tone of voice, and she didn't want to feel her heart almost tearing her chest whenever she was near Han, so fast that the organ was beating. The truth was that Choi couldn't tell how or when, but, from one moment to the next, she relied so much on Han that she could no longer find a name that defined the force of that feeling but love. Jinah loved Jisung. She loved as she had never loved anyone, no matter how clichéd that might be. And, sometimes, she felt that she was reciprocated in the same way, but she couldn't reveal anything, for, on some occasions, it was as if the gaps that surrounded them were transformed into abysses. Not even a couple they were, to begin with.
"You got sad?" — Jisung asked as he realized that her features, before being free of any sadness, had become a little depressed.
"No, of course not" — Jinah smiled. She wasn't lying, for the reason for her sudden discomfort had nothing to do with her own lack of judgment. — "It's just that you've been so cute to me that it makes me sad."
The boy tipped his head and opened the smile that is directed at babies or adorable little animals and held the girl's face to fill her with kisses on all sides, receiving several laughter from Choi during the process. In the meantime, the front door was opened by Chan, who had Jade and Changbin as company. Jisung raised an eyebrow at Jinah, who could do nothing but quietly admit that the Han was right. The living room, definitely, wasn't the best place to play improper jokes with her future boyfriend.
