Born in East Elmhurst, Queens, NY to Elessia and James King in 1999.

Since 2019, her mom has been remarried. 

As of 2021, Jae has 4 siblings: Aleks, Faith, Ezra, and Andrea.

Her dad died when she was 9 years old (as stated in Jae’s vlive, he was a cop and got killed on the job)

She began to dance at age 2 (ballet and jazz) and as she got older she took on more styles of dance - her favorites being contemporary and hip-hop.

Her and her older sister (Faith) were in the same dance classes for most of their lives. 

She attended PS 329Q East Elmhurst Community School (K-5) and Louis Armstrong Middle School (6th grade)

She moved to Korea at age 12 after getting scouted at her school’s dance competition and completing several at-home auditions.

She lived with her grandmother in Gwangjin-gu when she starting training  at JYP Entertainment. 

She completed middle school at Shingu Middle School and then transferred to Cheongdam High School to finish out her schooling. 

She struggled greatly with her Korean when she first moved into the country.

She was a co-host of Dive Studios’ show 'How Did I Get Here’ with Jae Park and AleXa (late 2020 - June 2021).

She is now a co-host to an all new series under Dive Studios, 'That's Like, Really Crazy', where the co-host that works alongside her changes per-week (the show mostly focuses on foreign members of kpop groups / the idol world, and covers korean/world media news in the form of each week being a new trending topic).

Her rapper persona used to be 'The Queen’, but now she only references the name in present-day work. Now she just goes by Jae-Lynn (/Lynnie) or Jae-Lynn King.

Her role models are Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Prince and Billie Joe Armstrong. 

She has two dogs, a golden retriever named Looney and a bulldog named Beaver, that live back in nyc.

jungwoo: don’t burn me at the stake but i still see jungwoo as kinda awkward & insecure[?] (even though the neos have said he's really manly off camera) and i think this could add up to him having a lower sex drive. so i think kissing is more in his comfort zone versus sex. i think as the relationship grows, he'll obviously grow and be more comfortable in his sexuality, but i still believe he'll prefer the more wholesome intimacy that a good kiss/make out provides.

taeyong, mark: they could kiss their partners for long periods of time and not push for it to lead to sex. long kissing sessions allow them to be close and intimate with their lover in a more "innocent" way and they enjoy that. they're both kinda whiny though so eventually one of these sessions will lead to that highway to heaven.

taeil, haechan, johnny: yes. kiss them. they love it! however, you've got like thirty minutes before their "friend" is begging for relief. make outs with them eight/nine times out of ten lead straight to sex.

You and your boyfriend’s relationship was built on trust and love. In fact your boyfriend loved nearly everything about you, and especially your body.

Not to be too cliché, but Jae loved you for your personality and not just for your looks. Those were definitely a plus though.

Even after dating for a while and seeing each other without clothes, Jae would freak every time he walked in on you in anything less than shorts and a tee shirt.

“Oh, my go- Sorry!” He squeaked out, covering his eyes and refusing to move.

“I’m just in my underwear” you laughed looking at the already blushing male. “And, you know, you’re my boyfriend”.

He cleared his throat, removing his hands to finally get a good look at you. Your usual overly confident boyfriend was suddenly nowhere to be found.

“You look... good”.

Looking down at your leggings and sports bra, a small smirk came too your lips.

“Jealous?” You asked. One simple word that set him off.

“Me?” He laughed dangerously, quickly shortening the distance between you two. “Why would I be jealous of something that’s all mine?”.

“Wow” your boyfriend whispered from the doorframe, but it was just loud enough to be audible to your own ears.

Whipping around to face him, a wide smile was already spread out on his lips.

“Hmm?” You hummed, curious of his actions.

“You are stunning” he answered shamelessly while running his hands along the fabric of your new dress that perfectly hugged your curves.

Rolling your eyes, but being unable to stop the blush from rising to the surface of your cheeks, you turned and attempted to ignore him.

“Oh, don’t mind me! I’ll just watch you finish getting ready” he spoke, completely unbothered, before hopping onto the bathroom counter.

You couldn’t help but notice the way your boyfriend’s eyes were fixed on you as you two sat together on the couch. Because one: he wasn’t paying attention to the movie in the least bit, and two: his breathing would hitch every time you moved. More specifically though, his eyes were fixed on your neck down.

“Wonpil” you whined, playfully hitting at his chest. “I’m literally wearing an oversized hoodie and sweatpants”.

His eyes widened at your confrontation with him and he couldn’t do anything but smile. “I think you always look great, no matter what you’re wearing”

You laughed, though simultaneously cringing at his words.

You thought it was sweet the way Dowoon would immediately just stop, stare, and smile at you every time he got a first glance at yourself. He wouldn’t ever say much about your body, but you could tell he noticed your curves.

His hands running along your sides as you laid in bed, Dowoon had believed you were asleep. To his horror, though, you slightly flinched at the touch and turned to face him.

“I was just-”

“I love you” you interrupted, his eyes widening even more in surprise.

“I love you too” he finally responded after a few seconds and soon his arms found themselves around your waist once again.

Dowoon - Our lil Dowoon is so soft nd sweet nd very very shy boy. He has a hard time showing his feelings and may be really nervous about what to say or how to start a conversation with his crush. He may have a tendency to second guess himself about what he should do or say so he ends up not saying anything at all. But he would still show his affection or interest - by doing things for them.  

Sungjin - Sungjin has a very sensitive and shy side, and this more than likely manifests around his crush. His Venus is in Pisces so that would indicate that in matters of the heart, he would be sensitive and idealistic, he probably has a dream image of his crush, and would want to be more careful and take his time, as well as maybe feeling shy from the pedestal he puts his crush on. He would just think they are so cute and cool and smart and interesting and make himself nervous just thinking about you. 

Young K - Young K definitely would have some shyness around his crush, but he is innately curious and only really develops a genuine interest in someone once he’s been able to learn about them and get to know them, so he would be confident and calm, despite his shyness. 

Jae - Jae would more than likely not be all that shy around his crush. He may feel nervous on the inside but he’d be able to play it cool on the outside and he’d charm the shit out of his crush. It’s when the relationships get deeper that he starts to become more on the shy side. 

Wonpil - Wonpil probably has no problem overcoming shyness. He would be so eager to get to know his crush and talk to them and flirt with them and win them over that he would not waste any time overthinking.

haechan: literally the classic trope: "if he's mean to you it's because he likes you." his crush may question whether this is true, but everyone who knows him knows the truth.

mark, doyoung: i think they'd be kinda awkward when they're really crushing. mark is the cute, awkward love interest who innocently blurts out compliments and laughs at everything his crush says. dy is the mom type awkward one. constantly nagging his crush every chance he gets, even though he would lowkey (read: highkey) do anything for them. their crush would probably just think that's the way they are, but close friends of theirs would know.

johnny: (내 사랑) this mf is such a natural flirt, he literally flirts as easily as he breathes. i could see this being so messy for everyone involved because like yeah he flirts with his crush, but like he flirts with EVERYONE. so how do you even tell? he would definitely have to confess in order for his crush to know.

yuta: dude, hear me out. he's sooooo good at hiding his feelings. don't be misled by the way he treats mark, when he has an actual crush, he would treat them just like everyone else. literally he's an equal opportunist so his crush would not get any special treatment (at first ofc) from him. it wouldn't even remotely occur to his crush that he likes them. his friends/the members wouldn't even know either honestly, unless he told them. i can see him just randomly asking his crush out on a date, them being like "huh? seriously?" and him being like "yeah, i like you. isn't it obvious?!"

taeil, jaehyun: i'm not even sure that they fully know when they have a crush, let alone someone else being able to tell. taeil is so chill and easy going that he treats everyone like a friend, even when he doesn't mean to. he would definitely accidentally friendzone someone he likes. jae on the other hand is so....reserved. like i'm definitely in the minority when i say that jaehyun is shy and i believe it's even more amplified around someone he likes/admires (e.g. his interaction with H.E.R whom we know he loves). his crush would probably question if he even likes them as a person/friend, let alone more. commence slow burn.
