Exposed
Summary: Bond has to make a decision about someone he loves.
A/N: Hello lovelies,
Oh my dear lovelies, oh sweethearts. I AM SO SORRY for going dark.
As some of you may have read from my last announcement, things got a bit hectic when my mom was in the hospital. It was a scary and crazy experience, she basically became paralyzed from her chest down. I’m talking about an extremely active woman who was on her feet working 10-12 hour days to not being able to move at all.
We had to rush her to emerge and find out she had contracted some rare bacteria that affected her spine. Needless to say she was in the hospital for a month, and finally was discharged about three weeks ago and is now staying at my brothers. Which is great for her since he has a bungalow and makes it easier for her to move around as she’s learning to walk again. However, that does mean we have to travel a bit to visit her and take care of her when my brother and his family can’t.
Anyway ... long story short, too late. I am back, I am going to try to catch up on some of our lovely stories. I also have a special surprise for you guys, which I’ll upload sometime this week. I’m currently working on Crosshair’s section of the Gym Membership and then SOTF, the Reunion and Upside Down, and I’m also going to be working on a one-off request that I received. Keep your eyes peeled for those.
Thank you all for sticking around, for sending me love, and for checking up on me, you have all been super amazing and wonderful.
A special thanks to @firstofficerwiggles and @ulchabhangorm for being my beta readers. Love oo.

The blindfold covering Bond’s eyes finally started to slip down after hours of the corrosive material rubbing against his eyelids, but if this little irritant put him off from his mission, he shouldn’t’ve been able to call himself a double O.
It been more than three hours, closing on four, since he’d gotten into the first vehicle and the fabric was placed on his eyes. Since then, he’d been moved to two subsequent vehicles, each more uncomfortable then the one previous.
They were travelling across increasingly bumpier roads, from the cobble stones they started out on, to the rural roads he deduced they were currently on. With each bump he felt the rough material scrape across his skin, there was no doubt his eyelids would be rubbed raw by the end of the journey.
Despite the increasing discomfort, he focused his attention on what was happening around him.
As the car began to slow down, he expected a gentle stop, of course that was before his whole body shifted forward violently. He would’ve hit the seat in front of him, if he hadn’t engaged his core muscles doing his best to remain upright as the driver slammed on the brakes. He shifted himself back against the seat, as another vehicle slowly approached them.
The car that had been stifling since he’d been shifted into it, finally received a breath of fresh air, as he felt a rush of wind blow across his face and hair when the door flung open.
Someone grabbed his arm with force, shifting him forcibly from his seat. This wasn’t his first clandestine meeting he attended, yet every time they always decided to yank the blindfolded person from a vehicle; come to think of it, he was guilty of that as well. There was an inherent expectation that the one blindfolded wouldn’t fall, and would be able to follow the silent instructions.
Maybe just for fun, the next time he was going to fall to the ground just to throw them off, and chuckle at hearing them become all flustered.
There was an eerie silence that seemed to hang in the air as he got out of the car, it wasn’t necessarily threatening or dangerous per se, but a seemingly tense atmosphere between the two drivers themselves, maybe an affair of the heart, or simply rivals for one thing or other. He concluded he was being transferred to yet another vehicle, as his guide pushed him forward, hopefully this would be the last vehicle transfer before arriving at his destination.
His guide kicked his left foot, trying to push it up onto a ledge, he didn’t need much prodding as he stepped up doing his best to gain some form of balance, when he was shoved into the seat. There was no doubt it was an older truck, the cracked leather seats felt as though thousands of tiny pins were poking his butt as he shifted to find a somewhat comfortable spot.
It didn’t take long to get them on the road again, the further they drove on, the more he was able to determine their heading. The bumps in the road had started to appear less and less, instead it became increasingly dusty from what he could gather as he breathed in more dust from the air vents. The noise from the city vanished completely and replaced by the sound of trees rustling in the breeze and birds squawking from above. As far as he could tell, they hadn’t passed another vehicle in the past thirty minutes, which could only mean they were in an even more isolated area then they had been previously.
The truck shifted gears as it began to slow down, the driver turning ever so gently before he decided to slam on the brakes, lurching him forward once again. He was seriously thinking about talking to whoever taught these guys how to drive. He was trying to brace himself before hitting the dash, only to be pushed back this time into his seat by his guide’s forearm; he wasn’t sure but there was a high probability he would have a bruise on his chest later. At least he could say there was some concern about his safety, relatively speaking.
The relative peace that had surrounded him was now replaced by the sound of various footsteps rushing towards the truck, when the door flung open.
“Get out!” The voice demanded without any further explanation or care. Either from the person’s lack of English or simply they didn’t wish to expand more than the two words because of the unbearable heat beating down against them, the breeze that he had enjoyed was now a distant memory. It hadn’t been so bad in the truck as they drove on their way, but now that it was idle, the lack of breeze, the humidity, and the sun bearing down on them started to feel stifling.
Though he still couldn’t see much as he moved out of the truck, he was able to see something through the fabric covering his eyes, from the small opening provided by the shift of the blindfold. It was mostly outlines of objects, shapes that provided a hint as to what he was seeing against the bright sun and bluish-grey sky.
He took in a deep breath, there was a hint of salt in the air brushing against his tongue as he licked his lips; so they’d been travelling closer to the sea. Possibly the Pacific Ocean side as the air wasn’t as salty compared to the Atlantic. The thickness from the rustling of the trees was no mistake they were somewhere dense, either near the border of the forest, or just on the edges of an abandoned village.
The humidity surrounding him, simply reaffirmed his suspicions, it was thick and suffocating. They had driven closer to the coastline.
Someone grabbed his arm pushing him foward, he could hear sounds of people moving around him, out of his and his guide’s way. Not completely disappearing simply moving off to the side, as they whispered among themselves. He could feel eyes analyzing and scrutinizing his every move, waiting for an opportunity to strike, despite his hands still being restrained.
As he walked along, his foot bounced off the corner of a box he estimated as best he could from the sound and movement of what he hit. His theory was confirmed as his guide shoved him down onto the seat. He adjusted himself as best he could, as someone cut the zip-ties binding his hands, seconds after his wrists felt sweet relief, his blindfold was yanked off without any concern.
It took him a few seconds to adjust to the brightness, probably could’ve been worse if his blindfold hadn’t slipped, allowing his eyes to adjust even just a little.
“Bienvenido Señor Bond” the thick Spanish accent coming from the heavyset woman sitting in front of him. The structure in front of him, if he could call it that, provided enough shade for her and her table, leaving the rest of her people and Bond to experience the full heat of the sun. The air was filled with the smell of the cheap cigars she was smoking, the smell flowing over and encapsulating him, making him want to eliminate whoever invented those foul-smelling cheap cigars as he held back the bile that was rising.
He left off a light cough, doing his best to be his most charming self possible, “I’m grateful for the meeting Señora, it’s truly a pleasure to be in front of so much beauty ”
“A great pleasure as well, Señor Bond, I understand you are looking for information” she took a long drag from her cigar, the ashes flicking off in the breeze and creating more of the nasty smell.
Bond nodded “As a gratitude for giving me the opportunity for this meeting” he motioned to the man beside him who had been carrying his bag, the same man he met in the city before they started off on the long voyage to the middle of nowhere, he must have been in the vehicles with him each time he transferred or travelled ahead of him, “a small fee to show my appreciation for the inconvenience this has caused you.”
The man, loomed over them as he stepped closer, as tall and broad as he was, the man barely made a sound as he gently placed the bag in front of her.
She eyed Bond, not saying anything as she took an even longer drag of her cigar, she motioned to one of her subordinates to open the case revealing it full of money.
“American?” She asked as the smoke exhaled through her mouth and nose.
“Of course”
She took another puff “What is the information?”
“Several days ago, a man travelled through the area with a backpack”
“There are many men who travel through this area with backpacks, Señor”
“Of course, however, I believe he is a guest of your wonderful facilities, currently” he motioned towards the rundown prisons, well what appeared to be prisons. They were mere barriers out in the open, simply branches tied together with rope, to form cages to keep the unwanted contained.
She simply shrugged, “Perhaps, perhaps not.” She motioned with her cigar towards Bond, “Do you have a picture of this man?”
Without a word he pulled out a 4 x 6 picture of the man from his pocket. One of the requirements of meeting her was no technology was allowed. No cell phone. No laptop. No tablet. Nothing that could connect him to the outside world.
Despite the oddity, it didn’t really matter to him why she was being extremely cautious, all he cared about was the reason he was there. He passed the picture to her aide who was waiting to receive the image, she leaned over taking a long look at the picture, taking another drag nodding slowly in agreement.
“You are correct, Señor Bond, this man is indeed one of our guests of our, as you say, wonderful facilities.”
Bond couldn’t help smirk at this fool’s misfortune, frankly he could care less about the predicament he found himself in, “I hope he’s enjoying his stay then, what I’m more interested in, is the backpack this man had with him.”
She hummed as she took another drag, the smoke flaring out of her nostrils, “Was there something special in this backpack?” Her eyes narrowed as she took in the man sitting in front of her, “If there was something my men overlooked…” her eyes narrowing on two men who were standing off to the side, as her anger flared along with her nostrils towards her men, “I would be very disappointed.”
James knew better than to show his hand, after all it wasn’t anything that was obvious to the untrained eye, “Not in the least, the backpack is in fact mine. The man stole it from me, and I simply wish to reclaim it back.”
Another hum from the woman followed his statement, as she took a final drag of her cigar, putting it out on an overfilled ashtray.
“Why so much money to simply retrieve what was stolen?”
“There is a copy of a book that was given to me by my late wife, it was the last gift she gave me before she passed away; it means the world if I was able to get it back.”
She called over one of her men, whispering to him, careful to not let her conversation be overheard. Within seconds the man brought the dull beige backpack, still intact, at least from what Bond could tell.
“Would you mind if I confirm it’s contents, I would hate for anything to be missing or for the book to have been lost”
She motioned for him to stand, as her men surrounded Bond from all areas, their eyes watching his every move. He opened it fully, the clothes neatly stacked on top, a dog eared book of ‘How to Kill a Mockingbird’ sitting there, along with a toiletry bag, he opened it seeing a razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and shaving cream.
“As you can see there is nothing special in this bag, except for the book. This was the book she left me before …” his hand caressed the book tenderly, before he zipped up the bag, looking as undisturbed as before, retaking his seat on the crate.
“It appears so” her voice was weary.
“Thank you for retrieving my belongings, I would like to compensate you of course, for your troubles.” He put his hands inside his pockets, pulling out two stacks of a hundred American dollars placing them on the table in front of her, “There’s about $20,000 here, as a personal thank you.”
“Señor Bond you are quite good at making friends” she smirked as she slowly picked up the bundles, “Ernesto will take you back to the village. If you ever need my services again, I am more than happy to help.”
“Señora” Bond bowed, giving her his whimsical smile, as he followed Ernesto back to the truck, he sat down the backpack in between his legs, as he was blindfolded once again for the long journey back.

The book lay beside Q’s laptop as it’s front pastedown was peeled back, leaving only the indent of a microchip in its wake.
“Q, is the information compromised or not?” Mallory was annoyed as the youngish technician appeared to be taking his time with providing answers that he desperately needed.
“Don’t worry” Bond intervened, “Q’s probably confirming for the third time before he gives us any answers. You know how annoyingly diligent he can be.”
Q focused his attention back on the computer screen doing his best to ignore the comments; however he knew no amount of rechecking would change the answer that laid before him. He leaned back after reading the information for the third time, “Only one identity was compromised”
“Why aren’t you more concerned!” Mallory’s patience was at an end.
“Because it was compromised two weeks ago”
Silence filled the room, as the weight of what was discovered sunk in; the identity of their undercover agent was already revealed, the chances they were still alive were remote if even possible.
Mallory leaned against the desk, his head hanging low between his shoulders. He’d prided himself on doing all he could for his agents, there would always be deaths in this field that was inevitable, but he always wanted to make sure they knew they weren’t alone. They had support, backup, as much as he was able to offer.
“Who was it?” Mallory mumbled out as his eyes closed tightly, trying his best to squeeze out the shame and guilt he felt. No one realized there'd been a breach, until it was too late, and then finding out who breached their network, how it was breached took even more time. He failed them, and nearly had others killed.
Q glanced from Mallory to Bond, a heaviness rested in his chest, the next words he was about to utter would change his friend’s life forever. He focused back on the computer, maybe he was wrong, maybe it was a different person with a similar name and same date of birth, who just happened to have taken over the same undercover name. After all he’s made mistakes before, this could just be one of those unfortunate blunders, it would be better to keep this between Mallory and himself, “Maybe we should …” Q was about to say ‘discuss this in private,’ when Bond cleared his throat.
“Q … say it” James wanted to be wrong, he wanted the name that popped into his head, the moment Q said an identity had been leaked, to be different from the name Q was getting ready to say.
“007 …”
“Q. Say. It.” James’ voice was tense, his eyes focused on Q’s, taking notice of every twitch, the number of blinks, even every bead of sweat on Q’s face, it all told him a story. Told him to expect the worse.
Q took the time to focus on Bond’s demeanour, there was no way around it. He wanted to know and no amount of coaxing or trying to pull the old ‘need to know’ routine would stop him. If he didn’t provide him with the information, he’d just break into his computer later and look for it himself, and the last thing Bond needed was a charge of treason. He let out a deep sigh, closing his eyes trying to calm the unpleasant dreary sensation in his heart. He nibbled on his bottom lip, hoping the numbing sensation would make it easier to say what he needed to, “It’s J, 007.”
“When did J …”
“J was recalled to active duty a year ago, specifically for this assignment.”
James could feel his heart racing, his blood pumping faster, he could feel beads of sweat being to form and climbing its way down his spine.
The sun was breaking in through the window as James watched you sleep, he couldn’t help the smile that appeared on his face, as you scrunched your nose, trying to remove whatever irritated you, mumbling in your sleep. He’d been up for almost an hour, after he had the same nightmare yet again. He knew he should’ve woken you up, whenever he had the dream of your death, it was only you that could ease the pain in his heart; however this time just watching you sleep, peacefully, calmed his heart. It was a sense of peace and tranquility that filled him just lying there beside you. He did his best to memorize every millimetre of your face, wanting to make sure he didn’t miss a single freckle or blemish on your face. In that moment, as he lay beside you, he knew. Truthfully, he had known since the moment you walked into his life, but in that moment he knew he wasn’t going to run away from what he felt, he wasn’t going to tiptoe around the issue anymore. You were the one. You were the missing piece of his life. In that moment, he wanted to wake you up, and ask you to marry him.
He felt Mallory’s eyes on him pulling him back to the present, as M looked between Q and himself. He was trying to quell the coldness enveloping him completely, James’ fists clenched by his side as a thousand different scenarios ran through his head. This wasn’t the first time you were in a crunch, but at least then he was by your side.
You pressed into your side, praying and hoping to stop the bleeding as James provided cover. Things were looking bleak for the both of you, you were down to maybe five rounds, your extra magazine used and spent. Bond had taken one of your pursuers guns but even then, he was running low.
“Okay, I bought us a few minutes” he rushed out, controlling his breathing as best he could. His eyes glanced over doing his best to assess your situation. “What do you say? Ready to make a run for it?”
You could only chuckle and offer a weak smile as he grabbed your arm, but you knew the chances of both of you making it out were slim, especially with your wound that didn’t want to close. The bullet was still in there, and pressing against your ribs. You grabbed his shirt with all the strength you had left, pulling him towards you, kissing him deeply one last time.
James was shocked at first but didn’t hesitate as he deepened the kiss, you didn’t have to tell him, he already knew what you were thinking. This was your goodbye kiss, you were going to tell him to run and to leave you there to cover his escape; but there was no way he was going to do that, his hand shifted from the side of your face, he slowly flexed his wrist, popping out the the tiny dart Q had mounted into his watch before the mission,  and pressed it against your neck.
As you felt the prick in your neck, you pulled back and pressed your hand against your neck, “Wha… wha… whhh…”
James watched as your eyes slowly closed and your head fell against his shoulder, “Sorry love” he pressed a kiss to your forehead, “Can’t lose you.” He picked you up, and carried you to the extraction point, doing his best to stay ahead of the assailants.
Now wasn’t the time to panic, he needed as much information as he could gather, “Is it possible to contact J? Confirm in some way that J’s still alive?”
“J’s locator is no longer active. Even the communicator I gave is turned off. All the designated escape rendezvous arranged previously haven’t been used. There is one possibility, give me a minute, I’ll check …” Q’s words trailed off into nothingness as he focused his attention back on his computer.
Mallory stood from his position, it was not the time to be wallowing in self-deprecation. 007 looked as though someone punched him in the gut, or ripped out his heart. Not to mention, there was the possibility of an agent out there on their own for the past two weeks, that could very well need his help.
“You know this … J … personally?” Mallory asked keeping his voice low, as he subtly moved 007 away from Q allowing the genius to do his job.
“More or less” Bond responded, although he heard his voice answer Mallory, it didn’t feel like it was him that was actually talking.
“Meaning?”
“She’s my fiancé …” Mallory looked shocked for a second, before he was able to control his features once again; Bond didn’t draw attention to it, nor did he appear to really be paying attention to what he was saying at that moment.
James looked around the room, making sure everything was perfect. The candles were lit, your favourite meal was on the dining room table, along with your favourite flowers. He was wearing the navy blue suit you loved, it was the one he wore when you first met, you always told him that image always lived in your memory. He felt for the ring box in his breast pocket. The nerves building as the thought of what he was about to do started to sink in. He always swore he’d never get involved with anyone again after Vespa, but you slowly broke down his walls, and pushed your way into his heart, and before he knew it here he was getting ready to propose to you. Now all he had to do was wait till you got home.
Something pulled James back from where his mind went, maybe it was the fact Q had stopped typing, or just having faith that J’d be okay, and there was no need to be lost in what-ifs. He cleared his throat, straightening and adjusting his tie, “Former. My former fiancé from years past.”
You stood on the street, as the rain pelted down soaking your and James’ clothes straight through. Your tears were welling up as your throat ached from the fight the both of you just had, James was doing his best to hold it together, seeing how much in pain you were from something he did.
“I’m sorry! But you know this job … this life …”
Your fingers clenched around your engagement ring, “You promised me we would leave. We would both walk away from this job, from everything!”
James ran his hands over his face, “You know how difficult it can be …”
“Oh shut up! You claim to love me, you claim to I’m the one you want to be with, but if that was true you wouldn’t hesitate. Just admit James, you simply don’t want to be with me!”
“How can you say that? I’m here fighting to be with you!”
“Then leave! Leave with me!”
“You know I can’t. Not right now.”
“If you don’t leave now, you’ll lose me”
James closed the distance between the two of you, cupping your face in his hands, “Don’t. Don’t do this.”
You didn’t want to walk away, not from him; but if he wasn’t ready to make the commitment you weren’t sure you could wait around until he was ready. You had already waited five years just to be with him, and now just when you thought everything was finally coming together, it was all falling apart.
Your hand slowly stroke his cheek, you brushed your lips against his pulling him closer. He didn’t wait or hesitate, he reciprocated making sure the kiss was as passionate and intimate, James didn’t want to think this was the final kiss he could ever give you.
You pulled away, taking his hands in yours, you pulled off the ring and placed it in his hand. “I can’t do this when you’re not ready. I’m sorry.”
That was all you said as you left him standing there, James just watched you walk away, not sure of how to fix this.
Mallory didn’t say much, simply nodding his head. He knew the affairs of the heart all to well, he wasn’t going to pry into Bond’s past no matter how sorely he was tempted, “Are you able to handle this?”
James turned his head and locked eyes with Mallory, “Are you?”
“Very well, 007.”
Both regained their focus and steadied their nerves, Q looked up as he felt their gazes on him, he adjusted his glasses as he reviewed the information, “I triple checked all morgues, hospitals, law enforcement announcements, even underworld bounties, and I can neither confirm nor deny J’s alive … or dead.”
“Pardon me?” Mallory stated as his hand hitched on his waist, his anger needing an outlet. Not only had they been breached, but it appears it was a targeted breach against one particular agent that didn’t seem to have raised any red flags in their assignment.
Q adjusted his glasses, not bothering to look at the very annoyed and confused expressions that no doubt rested on both of their faces, “If J were dead there would be a report of either an unidentified body, J’s undercover name or J’s real name, and if that wasn’t going to happen, then there would be a police report about a body found or a … piece found. However there’s nothing. There’s still a pretty large bounty on J, 750,000 euros. Which tells me two things, one - J escaped before the identity was revealed. Now how J knew the cover was blown, I couldn’t possibly guess. However, that brings me to number two, as of right now J’s escaped the clutches of whoever put the bounty. Otherwise, it would’ve been removed, not to mention there would be some form of notice on the dark web.”
“Okay that means J’s likely alive, but you said you weren’t sure about J’s death?”
“Well they could have found J and kept the bounty up to keep us thinking J’s alive when that isn’t the case. They could also be torturing J for information …”
Bond held up his hand, “Okay we get.”
“If J’s captured, then there’s nothing we can do.”
The air in the room went frigid, as Bond slowly turned his head to look at Mallory, “There’s always something we can do” his voice was terse as he addressed Mallory.
“I’m sorry 007, but you know the rules better than anyone. Captured and you’re on your own; MI6 will disavow all knowledge regarding your existence and activity. If J’s caught, there’s simply nothing I can do.”
The tension between the two seasoned men started to grow, one due to the power and position he held, limiting his ability to help an agent in need, the second due to his own feelings and sense of duty to the one who had held his heart far longer than anyone else since Vespa.
Q held up his hand, “Before you two get into a testosterone filled match to decide which of you is bigger, I found something”
“Surprised you didn’t just wait till after” Bond smirked, appreciating the fact he could always tease Q no matter what the situation called for.
“I was tempted, but this is more pressing. I found a … as best I can describe it, some sort of distress code, on a back channel that hasn’t been used for a while.”
“What does it say?” Mallory was beginning to have doubts about this agent; first, why was only J’s identity that was revealed? Secondly, how did J survive?
“Need extraction. No response in two weeks. Will go dark. Heima. J out.”
“When was this posted?” James hand clenched by his side, something wasn’t right. Heima referred to their home they were planning on building in Milford Sound, the remotest area of New Zealand.
“Sixteen days ago”
“J already went dark.”
“Question” Mallory couldn’t hold his tongue anymore, “If she was able to escape why didn’t she come back in? Why wait to get an extraction? Why wait to hear back? And why was J’s identity the only one that was leaked?”
Bond turned to look at Mallory, “Are you questioning J’s loyalty?”
“It does raise some concerns” Q offered reluctantly.
“I know J!”
“It bears some consideration, 007” Bond didn’t need to hear this anymore, he grabbed the equipment Q had laid out for his next mission; ignoring Q’s comment.
“Where do you think you’re going, 007?” Mallory was about to stop him but thought better of it.
“Heima” was all James said as he walked out.
Mallory looked at Q waiting for an answer, he simply shrugged, adjusting his glasses, “Did you expect anything less? I mean …” Q motioned with his hand to the door Bond exited, “Really?”
Mallory smirked, running his hand down his face, “Let me know when he finds J.”

18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
Warnings: mention and use of a wolf whistle, Bond drinks, mention of sexual content
AN: 1923 out there getting me rilled up over older Timothy dalton so we’re writing for young Timothy dalton as bond. 🤷🏻
James put his martini glass down on the end table as I walked into the room. His eyes followed me as I put away the books that had been scattered around the house. Smiling over my shoulder at him, I blushed under his gaze. “Are you sure that you don’t want any help?” James traced the rim of his glass as he watched me. I shook my head.
“I’m alright James.” I ran my hand across his shoulders as I walked behind the couch. He hummed and turned his head, just missing my hand as I smiled at his attempt to kiss it. “I could use your help later though.” I winked at him as I left the room again. I could hear James chuckle to himself as I continued sorting and shelving the books. Putting away the final book, I sighed and left the room to rejoin James.
“Took you long enough.” James teased. I rolled my eyes and wolf whistled at him. James laughed, moving his hand up to his collar and tugging on it. Holding his hand out, he grabbed my wrist when I walked over to him. Tugging gently, james pulled me into his lap. “That’s my sound.” He chuckled. I leaned down and kissed him.
“It is your sound.” I murmured against his lips. James ran his hands down my back. “You’ve used that sound against me any number of times.” I dipped my head to kiss at the exposed flesh of his chest. “And that means that I get to use it against you whenever I want James.” I kissed over his heart and felt his breath hitch. “And when you look as sensuous as this, well…” I kissed him on the lips again. “I can’t help myself.” James chuckled as he kissed me more forcefully. He groped my butt, fingers digging into the flesh as he tried to take control of the situation.
“Seems like I’ll have to get used to it then.” He groaned as I ground against him. “Maybe you should do it more often.” Running my fingers through his hair, I hummed happily.
“I guess I should.” James playfully nipped at my lips before wrapping his arms around me. I laid against his chest, running my fingers along the exposed skin there.
“I could get used to this.” James sighed. I looked up at him.
“Where are they sending you next?” I asked softly.
“Colombia I think.” He responded, a distant look in his eye. “Next week. According to Moneypenny anyway. Could be soon.” Sitting up again, I cupped his cheeks. James reached up and held my wrists tightly. Leaning down, I kissed him slowly.
“Then we’ll just have to make the most of the time we have until she calls.” I pulled away slightly. “Won’t we?” James bit my bottom lip before standing up with me in his arms. Growling playfully, he walked to our bedroom with purpose.

Just That Close | James Bond x m!reader
@satan-incarnate-666 asked: "Been a while since you slept so well" bond/m!reader
summary: Bond doesn’t often let people get close, he doesn’t often actually let them in, but you just might be the exception.

The light in the bedroom was dim, just shy of getting dark as the television played quietly, the quietness of evening approaching slowly as you snuggled down against the soft pillows; wrapped up in two blankets and a duvet, you could feel Bond sleeping soundly beside you, cuddled into your side as he clung onto you so desperately. He didn’t often allow people to get so close to allow them into his house, maybe with the exception of M and Q, but nobody else; he allowed you, though, after years of building up a tightly knit bond, he had only just started to allow you to get close.
You supposed that it did help that you had been in the SAS for years before even meeting him, and he knew that through your work with E Squadron, you could definitely be trusted; so he didn’t mind falling asleep beside you, he didn’t mind not having his gun under his pillow. It was across the room now, tucked away in the holster that was hung up on the edge of the cupboard.
Slowly, he started to stir when he felt you shift around a bit to get more comfortable, a soft grumble coming from the back of his throat as he pressed himself further into you and sighed heavily, his voice thick with sleep. “What time is it?”
“Five past five,” you replied quietly, “you can go back to sleep if you want, Jimmy, I’ll still be here.”
Bond shook his head, daring to sit upright as he yawned and stretched, the hair on his chest starting to go a little grey here and there, just as his black hair was starting to become streaked and speckled with fine grey hairs, too. He looked amazing, his hair messy and scruffy; he looked so much different to how he usually did. No suit, no neatly styled and combed hair, far from prim and proper, far from a gentleman. He even forgot to shave, and had started to get quite thick scruff along his jaw, which you traced so gently with your fingertip when he looked at you so fondly.
“Been a while since you slept so well, hasn’t it?”
Bond nodded, gently kissing your shoulder as he grumbled. “More than a while…”
You couldn’t help but to smile, moving to straddle his waist so that you could gently rake your hand through his hair, humming softly to yourself before you let your hand drift down to his chest, able to feel his breath hitch when you gently and deftly traced an old scar, but he made no move to stop you until you dared to look at him; with a small smile, Bond dared to steal a lazy kiss. It was a little sloppy, a little slow and a little soft, and you couldn’t help but to smile at how his scruff tickled your skin so wonderfully. You were head over heels for him, and he knew it, he knew it all too well; you broke the kiss, rubbing the tip of your nose against his just to see him smile.
“Well, Mister Bond, it looks like I have you wrapped around my finger,” you teased, keeping your hands on his chest, able to feel the hairs tickle your palms as you tried not to laugh at the sensation.
“It appears you do, Mister (y/l/n),” he hummed, laying his hand at the back of your neck and humming softly. “What do you plan to do with me now I’m at your mercy?”
You pretended to think about it for a moment, tapping your chin with your finger as you dared to purse your lips, furrowing your brows like you were deep in thought. “Y’know, I’m not quite sure.”
“I’m sure you can think of something,” he mused. “You are a rather clever man, after all.”
“I’m sure I can think of something,” you agreed, licking your lips as your gaze dropped to his mouth for a moment. “But I suppose thinking can wait, don’t you?”
Moving so that he could pin you beneath him, his arms digging into the mattress either side of your head as he pressed his body against yours, Bond gently kissed along your jaw as he smiled, able to tell that his scruff was tickling you. “I suppose it can, Lieutenant - that is, if you don’t want me to see if I can give you a few ideas.”
“I would adore that,” you admitted, raking your hand through his hair and gently tugging it. “You always have the best ideas… you’re probably cleverer than me.”
“Only probably?” He asked, trailing his kisses down to your shoulder.
“That’s the best you’re getting,” you told him with a laugh. “You might be intelligent, James, but I still kicked your backside at cards.”
“That you did,” he admitted with a nod. “But that was only beginner’s luck.”
“After seven rounds?” You asked, keeping a slightly teasing tone in your voice as you chuckled softly. “Or was it eight?”
Gently biting down on your shoulder, Bond grumbled against your skin. “Don’t rub it in.”
“Promise me something,” you said seriously, the three words causing Bond to pull back so that he could look into your eyes. “Don’t die before I do.”
Bond smiled, shaking his head as he dared to steal a quick kiss. “Of course not. If I did, who else would make sure you don’t go running head first into danger?”
“I…” you swallowed thickly, taking a deep breath as you prepared to actually say the words at last. “James, I think I love you.”
Bond froze, staring at you blankly for a moment, wondering if he should really let you get just that close; he trusted you, without a doubt he would put his life and the entire country in his hands without even hesitating, and he did care for you deeply. But he knew what often happened when he allowed people to get too close, and he wasn’t sure if he could stomach it happening to you, as well.
“You don’t have to say it back,” you told him, shaking your head. “I just wanted to tell you.”
if you liked this fic, REBLOG IT - you SHOULD reblog it; if you don’t wanna reblog, then you’ll get blocked; reblogging is the BARE MINIMUM.

"Hmm?" The other man hummed, and that was when he felt a hand gently brush the shoulder of his dress off, followed by tutting. "I'm going to kill him." Shivers ran down his spine as Bond unclamped the bra that held padding to his chest. He nearly screamed when he felt lips against his back. Still kissing up and down his spine, he pushed off the other strap of the dress, letting that fall forward and the bra fall to the floor.
On instinct he immediately covered his chest up with his arms. He wasn't too confident in the scars that adorned his chest, disrupting the smooth planes of his skin. They were bumpy and jagged and purpling against his pale complexion. Another tut from James, his lips now ghosting across the back of his neck, moving across his now exposed shoulders. He shivered again as the agent pushed his arms away from his chest.
"You look so much better like this. Magnificent." His nose bumped his jaw and he felt like he could cry for a whole new reason now, feeling the older man's lips trail across his neck as he was pulled back into his bare chest. A rough hand moved up from where it had settled on his side, moving up to hold his chest back, settling over his peck. "God." James followed that comment by a curse under his breath. "A work of art." His skin was rapidly heating up under his touch, the room felt a lot hotter all of a sudden.
"Bond." His voice was weak and barely there as he breathed out, relaxing against the other man, succumbing to his embrace.
And in seconds, any sensible thought about James' reputation and supposed sexuality was gone.
Because their lips connected. It was quick, with clashing teeth and a smirk. Bond's bright blue eyes stared into his as he was swiftly spun around, though the others hand immediately made its way back to his chest. "You okay?" His voice had a mischievous glint in it, and that reflected in the way his smirk widened at the blushing mess he was holding onto.
"Mhm." Was all he could manage out, his eyes wide and his cheeks a flaring red.
"Hmm, now let this old dog learn some new tricks." He hummed, his face finding its way into the crook of his neck.
He felt weightless as he was practically pushed back onto the bed so he was laying down, the silk still covering his hips and thighs as James leant over him. "You are a work of fucking art." He murmured, simply staring down at him. Xander covered his face with his hands, his cheeks crimson out of pure embarrassment of his coworker seeing him so exposed.
James' fingers began tracing the puffy red lines on his chest, back and forth, back and forth. All the while he reminded him he was stunning, a work of art. Compliments flew off his tongue in a way Xander never expected, because this time, they were directed at him.
"My handsome boy." The nickname rolled off his tongue like warm honey as his head dipped down to make contact with the scars, kissing along them. “A masterpiece.” His lips were feather-light along the pink scars and he spent several minutes mumbling praises as he made sure he kissed every single inch. He tried not to think about how many times the man had whispered similar things to countless other people, but he allowed himself to sink into the bliss. The false reality where they were together. And that was made a whole lot easier when their lips connected again, Xander’s hands coming up to grasp his bicep and jaw.
"Look at you. Like a fucking angel. Laid out for me." He mumbled against his lips, the kiss momentarily pausing as Bond kissed his chin, then his nose. "You should be in a museum, you were carved by the most expert hands. Look at you, a fucking perfect work of art." Tears dribbled out the corners of his eyes. No one in his life, pre or post, had ever spoken to him the way Bond had. "Shhh, shhhh." His cheeks were pink and flushed as tears rolled down towards his hairline. "I've got you." An arm wrapped around his back and he was pulled up to his chest.

Summary: In which Bond meets his teenage American daughter and she is none too pleased about it
Wordcount: 2,667
ao3 | ff.net
It was a trap. He knew it was a trap. They said they had his daughter – and as far as he knew, he didn’t have any children, though, to be fair, it was a possibility.
So, when he arrived at the warehouse, he had expected the men with guns waiting for him. What he had not expected was to find a teenage girl tied to a chair in a backroom once he had made his way past the aforementioned men with guns.
“For the last time,” she exclaimed in an American accent. “I don’t know who this James Bond guy is!” Then she looked at him. “Wait, who are you?”
“I’m James Bond,” he said and closed the door.
“Oh,” she said as he untied her wrists from the armrests of the chair.
He squinted at her. He supposed it was possible… There were shouts outside the door and the girl scrambled to her feet, looking at him uncertainly, rubbing the red marks on her wrists.
“Hide behind that,” he said, pointing at a beat-up old filing cabinet, and she did, eyes wide.
The door slammed open and three men burst in, falling as his bullets found them. He was halfway out the door when he realized she wasn’t behind him.
“Come on then,” he said, gesturing for her to follow. The warehouse was silent as they passed through it, except for her shuffling feet behind him. He resisted the urge to tell her to pick up her feet so they could be quieter.
His car was right outside and as he opened the door for the girl, he heard the squeal of tires. He turned to see two large SUVs coming at them. He unceremoniously shoved her into the car and shut the door, aiming his gun at the SUVs’ front tires, blowing them one after the other. Then he ran around to the other side and hopped in.
“Hold on,” he said as they peeled away. She nearly whacked her head against the window and he glanced over to see she wasn’t belted in. “And please fasten your seatbelt.”
A third SUV was on their tail now, and he flicked a switch, spraying it with bullets. The girl turned around and looked out the back window.
“Woah,” she said. “So you are a spy.”
He looked over at her. “What’s your name?”
“Alex.”
“And where are you from?”
“Queens.”
He nodded, thinking. New York. Fifteen to eighteen years ago. He’d been there a few times in that span of years.
“Who were those guys?” she asked.
“Arms dealers,” he said like it was the most casual thing in the world.
Alex blinked. “Right.”
They soon arrived at the hotel. Alex followed him rather uncertainly from the lobby to the elevators.
As they waited, she looked at him, like she was sizing him up. “What did they want with you?” she asked. “The arms dealers.”
He shrugged. “I don’t know,” he said. “I’m not one for negotiating.”
The doors slid open, and they stepped inside.
Finally, as the elevator rose, he asked, “How old are you?”
She hesitated a moment before answering. “Seventeen.” Then she gave him a sidelong glance, watching his reaction.
When he didn’t say anything, she rolled her eyes. “Right.”
“What?”
The elevator stopped.
“I didn’t think you’d believe it.”
“I’m not–” he began, but she’d already stepped out into the hallway and started down the hall. “The room’s the other way actually.”
She stopped and turned, glaring at him, then walked past him again.
Inside the room, she flopped down on one of the beds. “Y’know,” she said. “If you didn’t think I was actually your kid, then why’d you come?”
He looked at her curiously.
“I mean,” she said. “It was obviously a trap.”
“Blood-related or no, kidnappings are still part of my job.”
She sat up. “So you’re not sure,” she said. “Sleep around a lot the summer of ’05?”
“That’s not–” he sighed. “The important thing right now is getting you safe. I need to contact my supervisor.”
“Okay,” she said and laid down again.
It was rather disconcerting, having her grumpy presence as he called M. Very different from what he was used to dealing with.
“How is the family reunion?” M asked.
“We’re back at the hotel,” he said, ignoring the question. “They were actually holding a hostage, an American teenager.”
“What’s her name?” Q piped up in the background. “I could check to see if you’ve crossed paths with–”
“No that’s – that’s quite unnecessary, Q,” he interrupted. “Thank you.”
“How do you know she’s not a fake?” M asked. “The trap could be her. If you would let us look into her–”
“She’s a little teenager girl,” Bond said. “She’s barely nine stone soaking wet. I’m not too concerned.”
“Very well,” M said. “Come back to London and we’ll get her home.”
“Yes ma’am,” he said and the call disconnected.
He looked over at Alex and saw that she had fallen asleep on the bed, curled on her side. He studied her face and frowned slightly.
Soon, everything was packed up and it was high time they left. He stood beside the bed and gently shook her shoulder. She shot awake, scrambling away from him, and nearly pitching off the other side of the bed.
“Hey, hey,” he said quietly. “It’s alright.” He backed up a step, holding his hands up.
She looked at him, her breathing evening out, then ran her fingers through her hair. She huffed out a frustrated breath. “What?” she asked rather sharply.
“We need to go,” he said.
She hopped off the bed. “Okay then,” she said, heading for the door. “Let’s go.”
Teenagers, Bond thought as he followed her.
As they stepped outside, a busted-up black SUV pulled into the parking lot.
“Damnit,” he muttered, then turned to Alex. “Can you drive?”
“Legally, yes.”
“What does that mean?” he asked, hurrying them behind a large delivery van.
“I just got my licence a few months ago,” she said. “I’m not great at parking yet.”
“You won’t need to,” he said and handed her the keys. “Get it started up and wait for me.”
She scampered away, ducking behind the next car. He slipped around the other side of the van, pulling his sidearm out of its holster.
Alex quietly opened the car’s door and slid inside, then frowned at the lack of steering wheel in front of her. She looked to her right. “Right,” she muttered. “British.” She climbed over to the other seat, leaving shoeprints on the leather seats that she hoped he wouldn’t mind. Surely this car had seen worse.
The pedals were too far forward for her, and she groped under the seat, looking for the lever so she could move it forward. Gunfire sounded across the parking lot, and she jumped. Then she gritted her teeth and started the car. It rumbled to life and she couldn’t help but grin a little.
Then the passenger door opened, and she screamed, almost diving out of the car.
“Just me,” Bond said. “Let’s get out of here, shall we?”
“I don’t know how to move the seat forward,” she said quickly.
“Oh,” he said and scanned the seat with a small frown. “Ah, yes.” He reached beside the seat and Alex felt something click and she was able to slide the seat forward.
Alex was reaching for the gearshift when there was gunfire behind them, smashing into the back window. She ducked down in her seat, arms over her head.
“Bulletproof windows,” he said, rolling down his window and firing behind them. “Just drive.”
She put the car in reverse and pressed the gas pedal down, accelerating much quicker than she had anticipated. There was a bang behind them and then it felt like she had driven over a speed bump.
“I think I just hit someone,” she whispered.
“Just one of the men trying to kill us, not to worry.”
“Right,” she said, somehow managing to ding the cars on either side as she turned, and then put the car into drive. It had a nice rumble to it, and she liked the way it felt under her hands. Was this why guys liked retro cars? She had always thought it was just the aesthetic.
She turned out of the parking lot onto the road, bouncing off the curb and nearly cutting someone off, who honked at her.
“Are British miles the same as American ones?” she asked. It felt like they were going very fast. “What’s the speed limit here?”
“When being chased by armed kidnappers? As fast as you’d like.” He was fiddling with the switches by the gearshift. Gunfire exploded from behind the car, peppering the SUV behind them, blowing one of its tires and sending it careening into the ditch.
It didn’t seem like anyone else was following them and Alex expected him to suggest they pull over and he take over the driving, but he didn’t. He sat in the passenger seat, giving her directions and reminding her whenever she automatically drifted to the right side of the road. Even though there was no one chasing them anymore, she drove well over the speed limit. It was exhilarating, how quickly this car responded to her, much nicer than her mom’s car.
Then they entered London and she was much less enthused about driving, white-knuckling around the wheel. When she finally pulled into the underground parking lot, she decided she would rather be kidnapped again than drive through London again. She parked the car, very crookedly and only just managing to not clip the side mirror on a pillar, and handed the keys to Bond, deflating in her seat.
He clapped her on the shoulder. “Not bad.”
Outside the car, Alex winced a little at the sight of the dings and scrapes in the silver paint of the car. “Sorry,” she said.
He shrugged. “It’s in better shape than I usually bring it back,” he said. “Q will be pleased.”
He led her to an office where a woman behind a desk smiled at him. “James,” she said. “Everything go alright?”
“Brilliantly,” he said. “M’s waiting for me then?”
She nodded, then looked at Alex. “You must be…?” She looked at Bond.
“Alex,” he said. “I need you to organize for her to get back to New York. I’m sure her mother is worried.”
“Right,” the woman said.
“Oh, and tell Q the car’s downstairs.”
“In one piece?” she asked. “You’re losing your touch, 007.”
He grinned at her. “Have you been thinking about my touch?”
Alex looked between them and rolled her eyes. Right. Womanizing spy.
The door closed behind Bond and the woman stood and walked around her desk. “I’m Eve Moneypenny,” she said, holding out a hand to her.
“Alex Cowan,” Alex said and shook it.
Eve looked at her closely. “I think you have his nose.”
Alex pulled away. “He’s not actually my dad,” she said. “My mom wouldn’t fall for that bullshit.”
Eve raised her eyebrows and shrugged. “Can I get you something to drink?”
Alex slumped down in a chair. “I just want to go home.”
Eve nodded and sat down behind her desk again. “That I can do.”
They sat in silence for a few minutes; the only sound was Eve’s typing on her keyboard.
A man walked in, bald and stout. “Afternoon, Moneypenny,” he said and paused momentarily when he saw Alex. “Is that…?”
“Alex,” Eve said.
“Right,” he said and smiled briefly before going through to the main office.
Alex fidgeted, picking at the reddened skin at her wrists. Eve stopped typing.
“Did James have that looked at?” she asked.
“Oh, no, I’m fine–” Alex started to say.
“All the same, you should get checked out.”
“Really, it’s–”
But she was already calling someone. “Q, I’m sending… the girl down to you to get checked out.” She paused, listening. “No, she isn’t seriously injured. I just want to make sure she’s alright.”
An expressionless man in a suit led her through the halls and down some stairs to a large basement room filled with weird-looking gadgets and large screens.
A man who could not be older than twenty-five smiled at her awkwardly. He was kinda cute, in a geeky sort of way.
“You’re Q?” she asked.
He nodded. “And you’re 007’s daughter,” he said, turning and leading her across the room.
He said it so matter-of-factly that she didn’t bother disagreeing.
“I understand your injuries aren’t too serious?” he asked as he opened the door to a small side room that looked like a doctor’s clinic.
“I’m fine, really,” she said. “It’s just this.” She pulled back her sleeves to show the red marks on her wrists.
“Hm,” he said, glancing at them, then rummaging through a cupboard and handing him a tube of cream. “Try that.” He continued looking through the drawers and Alex sat down on a chair, opening the tube and rubbing the cream on her wrists.
“So, do you like working with him?” she asked finally.
“007? Sure,” he said. “Well, I mean, he isn’t the most careful with the tech I give him. I rarely get it back. So, professionally, he isn’t the best co-worker. But he’s a nice fellow. And good at what he does, obviously.”
“He seems like kind of a douche to me,” Alex said.
“Yes, well.” He turned back with a syringe.
Alex backed up a tad, rolling her chair away from him. “What’s that for?” she asked.
“You seem in doubt about 007’s paternity,” he said simply. “If I take your blood and compare it to–”
“That’s alright,” Alex said, standing up quickly and placing the tube on the counter. “Thanks for the cream.”
“As you wish,” Q said and put the syringe away. “Why don’t you wait here? I’m sure 007 will be done with his debrief soon.” Then he gave her another awkward smile and left the room.
Alex flopped down into the chair again, the day’s events finally coming into clear focus in her mind. With all the excitement and adrenaline gone, the terror of it all crept into her veins. She – rather mortifyingly – felt like crying. She pursed her lips. “It’s fine,” she told herself. “I’m fine.”
Still, her eyes pricked. She stood and began to pace back and forth.
That was how Bond found her when he entered. “Are you alright?” he asked. “Moneypenny said she had you checked out by Q.”
She pulled away. “Yeah,” she said. “I’m fine.”
“I can imagine that all of this has been rather traumatic–”
“Look, you did your job, okay?” she interrupted. “You got me here. I’m not your responsibility anymore.”
He sighed. “Your mother’s name is Abigail Cowan. She’s a museum curator, or she was when I met her,” he said. “She has a particular fondness for Edward Hopper, especially New York Movie, which I believe is housed in a museum in New York.”
“It’s in the MoMA,” Alex said quietly and looked over at him. “Crap, you are my dad, aren’t you?”
“I’m not that much of a disappointment, am I?” he asked with the ghost of a smile.
“Well, you’re kind of a dick,” she said. “But you do have a cool car, so there’s that.”
He smiled. “I’ll make sure not to tell your mother I let you drive it.”
“Are you kidding me?” she said. “Maybe now she’ll let me drive downtown.”
He winced a little at the thought.
“What? I wasn’t that bad.”
“I’ll leave that decision up to her,” he said. “Come on, the plane should be ready.”
“Like, a private plane?” she asked as she followed him. “Hey, cause you’re a spy, are you, like, loaded?”
“Don’t get too excited. I might have more children that I’m not aware of.”
“Eh, if they didn’t get kidnapped as bait, do they really count?”
He laughed. “I’m not sure that’s how it works.”
“Hm, it should.”

Hi, how are you? Please don't judge or kill me! Please, I don't condone this kind of behaviour. So, I have a request about Mads Mikkelsen's character Le Chiffre from Casino Royale.
So Female!Reader's father won against Le Chiffre his money at the casino.
To take revenge, Le Chiffre kidnaps Reader to get revenge on her father. Warning:Kidnapping, Non-con.
Please don't kill me, I don't condone this behaviour.!!! <3<3<3
A/N; Thank you for this request I sure had fun writing it ;) It got longer than i expected but hey, who cares. love you all.
Warnings; Kidnapping, smut, minors get the fuck out or else!
The only reason why you followed your father to Montenegro was to unwind from stressful year at the university. He said he had some business to attend to and he offered you a most generous holiday which you didn’t hesitate to indulge in. First few days were relaxing, you joined a yoga class, got several massages, swam in the sea and also at the pool, however, tonight would be the night to switch things up.
Your father said he was going to gamble at a casino, the hotel you stayed in was infamous for its illegal businesses such as gambling. Your father said it could be fun to have you there with him, he liked to show off his intelligent and siren looking daughter and to distract the gamblers.
Your dress was long and red, the fabric was satin, so smooth on your skin, the dress had a slash on your left side, up to your thigh. Hair let loose, red nails and red lips.. you were the walking femme fatal that night.
You entered the room with your dad, a soft 20s music was playing at the casino, yellow lights and dark green chairs, couches made the place look vintage, there were bodyguards at each door.
As you walked together you saw him
He was among his ’friends’’ or people he did business with. He was covered in black, which made him look manly and dangerous. His silver watch was shining under the yellow lights, you noticed that he had no ring, could be single. He was laughing at one of their jokes when he lifted his gaze and he saw you entering. His expression changed in a second, the way he looked at you up and down didn’t go unnoticed. His left eye twitched and he looked away, from afar you could see there was something in his left eye, looked like a nasty scar. It made you curious about him, because the way he dressed and held himself showed you that he had men to do the dirty work but maybe, time to time he liked to get his hands dirty… why were you so interested in a man who seemed older than you all of a sudden? You were here to enjoy your holiday and do a trick with our dad. Ever since you hit the age 18 your dad started to take you to casinos when he wanted to gamble, and you came up with this thing where you flirt with other gamblers to distract them, it worked usually because of weak nature of men.
Your father guided you to the bar to get drinks, there was still 20 minutes till the game started so he ordered you something and you gracefully took your place to observe the environment. ‘’Excuse me love, I have to use the restroom.’’ Your father announced and left, you were enjoying your drink and listening to the soft tunes when you felt a presence next to you. You looked up to see your father but you were surprised. That man with the scar was sitting next to you, ‘’Hello.’’ He said looking at you, he wasn’t shy showing his scar, it was infact nasty but you didn’t shy away, you directly looked into his eyes, you innocently smiled, for some strange reason you liked the scar, it suited him perfectly. His plump lips formed into a dangerous smile, ‘’Allow me to accompany you while you wait for your partner.’’ His tone was questioning, he ordered two drinks, ‘’He is my father. Not so smooth are you Mister?’’ he chuckled at your boldness, he extended his hand, ‘’Le Chiffre. And you are?’’
You accepted his hand, he had a strong grip, ‘’Ms. Y/N Y/L/N.’’ he gave a small peck on your hand, predator disguised as a gentleman. ‘’I assume you are here to accompany your father?’’ you took a sip from your cocktail, ‘’Correct. I didn’t want to leave him alone, plus, I’m his lucky charm.’’
‘’Good girl.’’ His eyes never left yours, you wondered if he could see from his scarred eye, of course you didn’t ask. With his comment you could feel heat rising up to your cheeks, thankfully your father came.
‘’Le Chiffre?’’ your father asked in a not so kind matter, ‘’Mr. Y/L/N,’’ he greeted your father with the same icy cold courtesy. ‘’Long time no see.’’ Your father said, ‘’Looking forward to see you at the game with your,’’ he looked at you, ‘’lucky charm.’’ His hand went to his pocket to get his silver inhaler and bid you goodbye. You didn’t understand the tension that they had, maybe it was because of the competitive business life.
Soon the game started, your father’s instructions were simple, wait for Le Chiffre to make a bold move and distract him, it was an old game of yours.
You were like a hawk watching the table from afar, your fingertips circling around the cocktail glass, you saw that it was his turn to make a move and you bolted to your feet. Your heels were making powerful sounds on the marble floor and you saw him looking up as he was shaking the dice in his big palm, your eyes never left his dangerous ones, he wasn’t ready the dice unintentionally fell from his palm, you saw the pure anger written on his perfectly shaped face as you got on the elevator you could hear your father’s victorious laugh.
You didn’t join your father, who was celebrating the big cash he just won. You were in your hotel room, just out of the shower and moisturized. You couldn’t help but think of Le Chiffre, was that money important to him? Did your father and he had a history? You needed a spa night. Since it was late you didn’t mind leaving your hotel room only in a long robe and nothing else, the halls were quiet, no workers around which was strange. You didn’t mind, the spa was at the top floor so you pressed the button and waited, after few floors two men who were dressed in black joined. When you reached the top floor something felt fishy with the situation but you couldn’t turn back to your room now so you decided to stick with the plan. Your steps were quick on the marble floors, you finally saw someone who was attending the spa area and you informed them, they smiled and showed you to one of the cabins. You were alone, thankfully. You just sat and closed your eyes to relax, the steam helped you calm your mind, well, it was too calming and soon you were asleep.
You slowly started to feel your body again, your eyelids felt so heavy but a sudden panic made you open your eyes, you weren’t at the spa, you were at a bedroom.. that wasn’t yours.
As you lifted your body with the help of your shaky hands you heard a voice which was familiar, ‘’Slow down, you are still recovering.’’ Someone, a man, sat on the edge of the bed and you could feel his hand on your small back. You looked up to see him and it was Le Chiffre, but why was he here?
‘’Wh-‘’ your throat was dry, ‘’Here.’’ He offered you a glass of water, you were hesitant but thirst clenched your being so you drank with his help. ‘’Good girl.’’ He said when you drank the whole glass.
You were coming to your senses so you pushed yourself away from him, your back resting on the headboard of the bed, ‘’You might be wondering why you’re here-‘’
‘’Might?!’’ you replied. Cleary not amused, ‘’As you can remember your father won a significant amount of money, thanks to your help, I want that money back.’’
‘’So you kidnapped me?!’’ you could feel anger boiling, ‘’Smart one aren’t you. Until that money is returned you are my-‘’
‘’Hostage.’’ You sarcastically said, ‘’guest.’’ He answered, ‘’It had been 5 hours since you were taken You must be hungry. Come.’’ He extended his hand but you refused, as you quickly stood up you got dizzy so he grabbed your waist, his scent filled your nostrils. He smelled good.
You couldn’t protest because it was hard for you to walk so with his help you left the room. You weren’t at the hotel anymore, it was a mansion. Was this his house? You walked down the stairs, all you could see was an astonishing house with large paintings and furniture. He took you to the dining room where breakfast waiting for you both. Your stomach growled, he chuckled and helped you to your chair. ‘’Why can’t you just win the money back? There is another game tonight.’’ You asked, looking at the breakfast. You had to keep your calm in order to survive because you didn’t know what was he capable of. ‘’I don’t have for another game and I don’t like taking chances.’’
You laughed sarcastically, ‘’Says the man who was gambling last night.’’ You drank the orange juice, it was tasty. ‘’I was going to win. Until I got distracted by a certain beauty.’’ His comment made you blush so you didn’t look at him, ‘’Is it scary to look at me love?’’ he sounded hurt, ‘’I understand if it is the case.’’ You didn’t care about the scar so you looked straight at him, ‘’There we go.’’ He smiled, ‘’Now, finish your breakfast, I have plans for us.’’
You didn’t know his plan but you had to play along, you finished your breakfast as he commanded so, it was delicious anyways and you were almost sure there was no poison. He looked at your finished plate, you could see a small smile forming on his plump lips, they distracted you, ‘’Well done.’’ You noticed that he kept giving you praises, which was your weak spot but he didn’t know.. or did he?
He stood up, extended his big hand, ‘’Shall we?’’
You thought he was going to torture you, lock in his basement, feed you to his dogs but instead he took you on a stream in the mountains, he said he liked to come here, swim and make plans for his business, he said the water calms his nerves and keeps him connected to mother nature. Before you left his mansion a maid came to give you a bag with everything you need, a bathing suit, towels, sunglasses, sunscreen, you name it. Le Chiffre didn’t need changing, he just took off his shirt and jumped into the stream, you thought he wanted to give you privacy so you quickly changed into your bathing suit, it was red, a color he choose but you had no idea. Once you changed you placed one of the towels on the grass and sat, started to put sunscreen on your legs, arms, ‘’Need a hand?’’ you heard his serpent voice, tempting and you looked up to see him, on the edge, his broad arms supporting his body by leaning into the ground, ‘’Yes, thank you.’’ Two can play the games, you thought. The way he jumped up to the shore, his arms and legs flexing did something to your core. You had to exhale the breath you were holding, without a word he sat behind you, put some sunscreen in his palm and started to rub your back. You literally held onto grass under your hands, his calloused hands trying to be gentle but you could sense the certain urge to go deep, and rough.
‘’When I first saw you at the casino,’’ he began, ‘’I thought to myself, I must have this girl somehow.’’ He wasn’t shy at all, ‘’I guess Universe finally decided to give me a break and let me have one good thing.’’ It was obvious that his life was difficult, and seeing you as something good  made you blush.
You turned to face him, his eyes were hoping for something, something tangible and you decided.
You leaned in to give him a kiss which he gladly took, his lips were so full and soft, his big hands went to caress your face, as the kiss got heated you followed his movements, he made you lay on your back, your legs invited him by opening. When he bit your neck you moaned, he pulled away, ‘’Did I hurt you?’’ he was out of breath, the genuine curiosity could be seen in his eyes and you almost cried.  ‘’No, keep going.’’
He kissed you again, you could feel his hard member between your legs, there was no going back.
His hand went to dip into your wetness and he moaned into your mouth, he pulled away to give kisses to your face and neck, ‘’just how I imagined.’’ He said as he started to rub your clit, your arched your back, his sweet torture was driving you mad. ‘’Do you want this?’’ he looked to see any sort of discomfort on your face but all he found was flushed cheeks, lust written in your eyes, mouth slightly parted. ‘’Yes,’’ you said, ‘’please’’ he grinned.
His fingers pushed the fabric away, he quickly got rid of his short and gave himself few pumps, you couldn’t help but notice how big he was.
He rubbed his tip into your folds, making you whimper, ‘’pleasee’’ you said whining, ‘’Please what, lucky charm?’’ you couldn’t help but moan deeply, ‘’Please fuck me, ever since I saw you last night I wanted you to bend me over and fuck me raw.’’ Well, it wasn’t a lie, he had a strange aura to him.
Your confession startled him at first, Le Chiffre, even though he didn’t want to admit, he had insecurities thanks to the scar on his face, ladies usually went for his colleges, not him. Hearing you openly admit to want him turned him on, he was planning on to be gentle with you but after what you said, that wasn’t an option anymore, he had to have you and keep you all to himself.
Your legs wrapped around him and he inserted himself with one thrust, you screamed in pain at first because it had been a while, ‘’Look at me.’’ He was deep inside you, you could feel his pubic hair tickling your skin. You meet his eyes and he started to move, you knew after this session you would have sore thighs, but you didn’t want him to stop. He stretched you out perfectly, ‘’Open your mouth.’’ And you did, he spit in your mouth, bit your lower lip, gave you multiple hickies.
Your fingers locking in his hair, you’ve never heard a man moan like him before, it made you clench around him again and again. You wetness and the sounds you make was heaven for him, of course he had multiple partners before but they all seemed fake, artificial, on the other hand you were screaming, tears in the corner of your eyes, you looked perfect. He sucked on your clothed nipples, gave them slaps, you were close and each sucking and slapping made you see stars, you liked his roughness. ‘’Come on my cock princess, let me feel it, come on.’’ He knew you were close and his praises pushed you over the edge, he followed behind.
His head fell to the crook of your neck, both of you were breathing heavily, ‘’I can’t let you go, not after this.’’

Tumblr media
You weren’t too sure how you even managed to get yourself into the mess you were in.
Your mission was as clear as day: find out what happened to the missing submarines that had been stolen from the British and Russian army and to get your hands on the microfilm which contained illicit submarine tracking systems that were being offered for sale on the black market.
It all started out fairly smoothly—leave Russia at 5 in the morning to catch the earliest flight possible to Cairo and meet up with a man named Max Kalba, who apparently has his hands on the microfilm itself. By evening, you had safely arrived at the club after tracking his movements while scouring the bar. Sure enough, you eventually find him sitting at the corner of one of the rooms, enjoying the performance that unfolded right before his eyes.
After a few attempts to talk your way out with the club workers, you finally made your way towards the infamous man himself. You sat beside him and tried your best to coax him into handing over the microfilm.
That was until you heard a thud coming right next to you. The individual took a seat down with his glass of whiskey in hand, spinning his alcoholic beverage. At the same time, he attempted to cut right into the conversation you were having with Mr Kalba.
“Why, good evening, Mr Kalba. I’ve been eager to reach out to you-” he paused momentarily before moving his free hand to pick yours that was laid on the hems of your dress, leaving a gentle kiss on your hand. “It’s also my pleasure to meet such a beautiful young lady like you,” he winked.
The male was dressed in a full tuxedo, the suit tugging on his skin a little tight, which obviously shows that he has been hitting off the gym for quite some time. His brunette hair was parted to the sides, his shiny forehead out and shining brightly. He also paired his look with a pair of glasses, and you could’ve sworn that he probably wore a little lip tint, given the fact that his lips were a little too bright red than the usual men you have come across.
You were used to men swooning over you or using all sorts of methods to impress you because, respectfully, you weren’t labelled as one of the wisest yet most beautiful KGB agents in history. It was also part of your tactic to get them to fall for you first before you eventually turned the tables and used them to your advantage.
However, something in this person’s eyes seemed a lot different than the men you have encountered in the past. Something tells you that this man isn’t someone to be taken lightly off, as he looks back up to you with this malicious intent.
It was as if he was trying to tell you to challenge him.
What was he then? Was he after the microfilm just like you were?
After a few minutes of the male trying his best to break the ice between Mr Kalba, this whole facade that he has been working hard on finally comes to a halt as he leans over, intertwining his fingers, and stares intently at you.
“I would like to purchase the microfilm.”
As far as you knew, only the KGB agents were aware of the missing submarines and the microfilm being sold on the black market. You were certain that the general had made it clear to you that none of the other agencies or associations were aware of this matter, and it was strictly up to the KGB agents to deal with the case privately.
So who was he? Why did he know about your supposed mission?
The adrenaline came rushing all over you, and you needed to do something and act fast before the microfilm fell into the wrong hands.
“I would like to bid for a higher price, Mr Kalba,” you announced, leaning in close to the infamous man to give him a little whiff of your perfume, hoping he would fall for you. Sure enough, the man couldn’t resist the scent or your outfit before responding to the other male waiting patiently at the side.
“I’m sorry, gentleman. You heard the woman, and clearly, you’re at a disadvantage right here, don’t you think?”
“Well then, I suppose I just have to bid higher than the stunning woman herself, no?” he said confidently.
Mr Kalba was certainly intrigued and was ready to hear the male’s proposal before he got interrupted by one of his servants, ushering him out to another room to pick up an urgent call. Once he was out of the room, the male suddenly moved closer towards you, to the point that his shoulders were touching yours, leaving little to no space between you both.
“Who are you exactly?” you bluntly spat out, not giving him the opportunity to start the conversation, at least like normal strangers would.
“Aww sweetheart, that’s some very bold language you’ve got there coming straight out of your mouth. You don’t trust me at all, huh?” He leaned in closer till you felt his hot breath on your bare skin.
“You’re a spy; which agency are you working for?”
“That’s too blunt.”
“I’ve got no time to waste,” you replied.
Before the male could even give you a proper response, something made him turn his head immediately towards the other room. He stared at the locked door for a good couple of seconds. He immediately examined the room, not caring about your presence, causing you to trail him from behind.
Once he did manage to pick the lock, the both of you were met by the lifeless body of Mr Kalba, lying in a pool of his blood. The male immediately bent down to examine the body up close, shaking his head when he did not feel a pulse on his wrist. Before he was ready to leave the body, he noticed the marks that were left on the side of his neck, causing his eyes to widen at the sight of it before he began marching down the hallway.
You wouldn’t get your potential witness or suspect off that easily, so you decided to jump onto the vehicle he had stolen from outside the party—a food truck.
As you easily opened the passenger door and slipped right into the vehicle, the male glanced at you before diverting his attention back to the road and driving off into the darkness.
It seemed as if the male could tell that you had so many questions to dump on him, but he beat you to it before you could even open your mouth.
“Major Y/N is working for the KGB. An agent who has never failed a single mission and is always on the hunt for the most notorious criminals across the globe. A seductress, seducing men has always been your primary method to manipulate people and get them to cooperate with you-”
“Okay, you made your point,” you cut him off. “Now, tell me what made you decide that driving into the darkness in the desert is the most plausible reason, given the situation that we’re in now.”
“Honey, you’re a high-ranking agent from the KGB; I’m sure you have noticed the bite marks on the late Mr Kalba’s neck,” he replied nonchalantly.
Bite marks? You were confused. You definitely saw that the source of the blood was oozing out from his neck, but you never did witness bite marks upon the wound with your naked eyes. Could it be that you missed a crucial detail? And how was the man able to catch onto something you couldn’t?
Your stunned behaviour and look gave the male more than enough reason to believe that you couldn’t examine the body up close, so he did you a favour by telling you all about his thoughts and predictions.
“Those bite marks belong to a notorious criminal that you and I have been trying so hard to catch over the past few months, and I’m sure that will certainly ring a bell now.”
Sure enough, it did, and there was only one person you knew of who also committed crimes with the same modus operandi.
“Jaws.”
“That’s right, honey. Let’s go meet our man of the night, shall we?”
Tumblr media
After hours of driving through the desert, both of you arrived at a seemingly deserted site filled with tons of broken-down monuments and statues.
There was absolutely no reason for anyone to come here at all, so you knew from the back of your mind that this would be the perfect hunting ground for Jaws as there was also barely any signal out here, making it nearly impossible to contact the headquarters if something tragic were to happen.
As the two of you stepped out of the vehicle, the male immediately took one of his free arms to keep you in place behind him. His other hand was busy reloading a Walther PPK 7.65mm to ensure that he was armed and ready should Jaws ever strike back. You decided it was best to follow in his footsteps while trying to be his other pair of eyes to scour the place.
The place felt eerily silent, almost way too silent. It was an abandoned site, and no one would be in the right mindset to come to a place like this. But the fact that both of you were on the hunt for a wanted criminal paints the situation differently.
Just when the both of you have reached the other end of the site, your sixth sense immediately tells you that something is going to happen within the next few seconds, and that is when you look up to see a brick falling right on top of the both of you. You immediately push both of you out of the way with your quick reflexes before a looming shadow falls upon the male himself.
It was Jaws.
The criminal was already armed with a broken wooden board in hand and began swinging violently at the male to hurt him. The unnamed spy was trying his best to dodge by landing a few punches onto the criminal, which was clearly deemed ineffective, given that Jaws was known for their brute strength and solid defence. Unlucky for the male, he actually took out quite a few hits from the wooden board—you were surprised that he was still standing strong despite having a few cut marks on his bare skin.
You quickly backed away and hid in a corner, trying to take out your revolver where you hid on the holster that was wrapped around your thigh and reloading it with bullets. You have encountered the criminal a couple of times in the past; you knew that normal bullets would do little to no damage to that man; his body was as solid as steel.
Instead, you looked around to see if there was something you could aim at to ensure that the criminal could be stopped momentarily while trying to save the agent who was fighting for his life. A minute passed when you finally landed your eyes upon a rope close to breaking off several metres high from the brawl between Jaws and the agent. There are a few stacks of abandoned materials that would knock them out for a while if they were to fall upon someone.
Quickly running in closer without being detected, you aimed your gun at the rope before mentally counting down for a few seconds before firing the shot. The shot was loud enough to make both males divert their attention towards you, and thankfully, the agent was able to catch on with your doing before he quickly ran towards you and grabbed your wrist to take you away from the site as the wooden boards and abandoned materials came crumbling down directly onto Jaws.
Rushing right back to the vehicle, you offered to drive as you deemed the male himself to be unfit for the driver’s seat (given the injuries he had sustained). As you peered through the rearview mirror, you could tell that Jaws was slowly making his way out from the crumble and would start charging towards you. Not wanting to allow him to do so, you stepped onto the accelerator and quickly sped away from there, not caring if you were going beyond the given limit.
After minutes of driving at full speed, you finally slowed down when you decided you had lost him far enough. Now, you can drive at your own pace while taking in everything that has happened throughout the night until that voice cuts you off from your train of thought.
“Geez, can you female agents not drive at an average speed? Where’s your sympathy for us sitting on the passenger seat?” He sulked.
“I think you owe me a “thank you” instead for what I did back there,” you replied bluntly.
The male could only respond with a smile before he took his hands off the handle and leaned back into his seat. “Actually, I think you might want to thank me instead.”
Right after he finished his sentence, he pulled out a little black USB containing the sole mission you were tasked with for the night.
The microfilm.
But now, it was in the wrong hands, and you needed to negotiate with the agent to find out how he knew precisely about this and who he was working for.
Composing yourself, you took a deep breath before politely asking the male, “What do I have to do to get my hands on the microfilm?”
“Huh, look at you, ready to pounce on me already? Did they not tell you to behave as an agent-”
“Cut off the wild thoughts. I’m only here from the microfilm, and that’s it.”
That was when the male began twirling the USB device on his fingers, giving you a little Yes-I’m-currently-thinking look, trying to rationalise with himself on what to do with you. “How about a glass of red wine while we gaze at the sunrise next morning?”
“What are you, a romanticist?” You growled back, feeling a little annoyed with the answer that he gave.
“Of course, darling. It’s one of the many reasons I always succeed at my job.”
“Clearly, those young ladies need to check their eyesight at the doctors.”
“Now, now…” he pouts before almost laying his hands to rest on your thigh but retracting when he saw that you were giving him the death stare as if you were about to ditch him out here right in the middle of nowhere if he ever had the guts to do so. “Hmph, you’re no fun.”
“What exactly do you want, Mr Agent.”
As you said those words, his flirtatious image began dying down, and he looked at you as if he were being drop-dead serious. You intrigued him, and he was now resting and leaning his arm on the winded-down car windows while he stared right into your soul.
“You’re not bad, Major Y/N. You definitely live up to all the expectations people label you as.”
So, he knew about your identity.
Instantly, you stepped on the break vigorously before pointing your loaded gun right into his face, forcing him to spit out whatever else he was hiding before anything else.
“Time is up. I’ve been patient enough to deal with your nonsense, but I’m done playing pretend. So you better tell me who exactly you are before I pull this damn trigger,” you threatened.
As he looked up and down from the gun to your face, he gently placed two of his fingers right on top of your gun before pushing it down gently so that he could lean in closer so that he was merely inches away from you now.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Major Y/N. The name is Agent 007, better known as Bond. James Bond. You will be coming with me instead, my princess.”
Tumblr media
You couldn’t believe it when the general informed you that the Soviet agency would collaborate with British Intelligence. Right after that confrontation in the desert, Agent 007 took over the wheel and drove you both to a secluded area near an oasis, where he informed you that both generals from your respective agencies were already expecting your arrival.
As soon as you both met your superiors, Agent 007 wasted no time briefing the team about what he had found on the microfilm itself (apparently, he could examine it while you were speeding off from Jaws). Unfortunately, the crucial evidence from the film has been removed, and there isn’t much to go on with it.
That was until the infamous agent discovered a faded-off crest at the far end of the film. With Q’s help (the quartermaster of the M16), they could track down the source, which belonged to the famous scientist Karl Stromberg. However, his lab was located in Sardinia, which required a train and a boat ride to reach the island.
Luckily for you, you were pretty familiar with the place itself since you have spent much of your time there hunting down wanted criminals for the past decade, so you practically knew your way around the entire island.
However, it was also unlucky for you that both agencies decided that two brilliant minds like you two would prove to be worthy and crucial for the mission to succeed, causing them to make a pact, and they agreed that both agents would work together to fulfill the mission.
So here you are now, sitting in Agent 007’s car as he drives the both of you up to the highest mansion in Sardinia, making your way towards Mr Stromberg’s lab while posing as Agent 007’s wife.
Yes. Wife.
That idea irked you so much at the beginning, knowing that both of your first encounters with one another weren’t the best, and you certainly did not return the favour of him trying his best to woo and flirt with you. But you knew that taking on multiple identities was part of your job, and so was keeping your personal feelings and emotions out of the way while you were on duty.
With that, you decided to casually guide Agent 007 around the city, securely infiltrate Mr Stromberg’s lab, obtain the necessary information, and quickly leave the islands to return to headquarters.
It shouldn’t be that hard.
Right?
“Say, princess, tell me a little more about yourself.” Agent 007 broke the silence between you two, desperately trying his best to break down the solid wall of ice between you both since that first encounter in Cairo.
Yet, you had no interest in returning the favour and tried your best to turn him down. “I would suggest you drive safely instead. The rocky roads up to Mr Stromberg’s lab are pretty nasty if you’re not careful.”
“Oh, honey, don’t worry about me. I’ve driven pretty much every single vehicle or transport out there. I could take you up in my very own helicopter for a little ride after this whole mission is complete.”
“Don’t bother. I will cut ties with you after we secure the microfilm.”
“Shame. I thought we were getting closer now that we’re partners.”
As soon as you heard the word “partners,” you couldn’t help but feel a sudden wave of anger rise upon you. You began raising your voice to respond to the male while swiftly turning your entire body towards his direction as well.
“You’re insane for thinking that we could ever be partners. Clearly, you don’t prove yourself to be worthy as Agent Seryozha-”
That was when you instantly slapped a hand to cover your mouth, trying your best to calm yourself down as you readjusted your sitting position. You have no idea why on earth this man irks you so much, to the point that you’ve messed up and even brought your lover—well, ex-lover—into the picture.
Agent Seryozha unfortunately passed when he was on a mission in Austria, and a week later, the missing submarines happened, and you were sent off to Cairo. Hence, you barely had time to grieve over your actual partner in crime before you had to convince yourself and everyone else that you’re nowhere near as affected by the sudden news.
But your now bright red face proved otherwise, and Agent 007 was able to catch on pretty quickly to what happened, and he immediately handed you a napkin from his side pocket while his other hand was still on the wheel.
“W-What?” You sniffled.
“Take it, honey. Wipe off the teardrop dripping down your face. It doesn’t look good on you.”
That was when you realised you were crying, and you quickly snatched the napkin away from his hands before drying your eyes. Things went quiet for a while, but he decided that you probably needed some comfort after all that had happened over the past several weeks.
Without saying a word, he instantly intertwined his fingers with yours, holding them tight while giving you a little squeeze to let you know that everything would be alright and you were more than welcome to let out those tears if need be. At this point, you desperately needed this for so long, someone who wouldn’t judge you, and that time could slow down for a little bit. With that, you shut your eyes tightly while letting the remaining tears fall straight down onto your hand as well as his, all while you tightened the grip of your hands with his, too.
After a good minute or two, when you finally could calm down, you mustered up all of the courage left within you to give him a simple answer: “T-Thank you…”
“Call me Sangyeon instead; we’ve now made a pact that we’re partners in crime on our new mission together.”
Tumblr media
Thankfully, both of you could easily infiltrate Mr Stromberg’s lab without being detected. Once you got out of the car, you immediately showcased your professionalism by taking on the role of Sangyeon’s wife and linking your arms around his. He introduced himself as Lee Sangyeon, a scientist who was also into marine biology like Mr Stromberg. He was eager to share his recent discoveries with the infamous man himself.
Mr Stromberg strictly requested that only a few people enter his lab one at a time, so you had no choice but to stay in the common area with his assistant while your “husband” went off to attend some business.
Before he left, he quickly turned his attention to you and pecked you on the cheeks, which caused them to heat up fairly quickly. Then he smiled and gave you a little wink.
“I’ll be back real soon, honey.”
As Sangyeon and Mr Stromberg entered the elevators and brought them down to his official lab, you sat on the couch and quickly placed your palm on your cheeks to feel the heat. Unfortunately, your actions did not go unnoticed; his assistant remarked on them, making you feel ten times worse.
“Seems like you both are a newlywed couple, huh?” She smirked.
“W-What! No! I-I mean…what makes you say that?” You tried your best to keep your composure.
“Oh, sweetheart, it’s how you both look at one another, especially your husband, as he came back to peck you on your cheeks. And look at you now, trying your best to reduce the redness and heat that’s rapidly rising,” she commented while moving her fist to cover her mouth as she giggled.
As much as you hated how she taunted you, you couldn’t deny every detail she had just pointed out in her speech. It was true, and you hated how Sangyeon was making you feel things and that you weren’t keeping your cool as usual.
You have made out with many men before this because of your mission, so a little peck on the cheeks would prove to be little to no concern for you. But it was different this time. It was the James Bond, his real name being Lee Sangyeon, who was actually making you feel this way, and you’re not sure what exactly your viewpoint on the man himself is anymore.
Not wanting to create more of a scene, you quietly looked down the entire time while playing with the hems of your dress, trying to calm yourself down and not having other unnecessary thoughts. Mentally, all you wanted was for Sangyeon to get the microfilm and get out of there quickly.
Perhaps this is something you have to discuss with Sangyeon about? You certainly can’t be going on like this forever; it would definitely be best if you both came clean and-
Wait. No. Absolutely not.
There’s no way the KGB's Major Y/N would be vulnerable to small matters like this. You have fought armies, destroyed nuclear weapons, and guided the Soviet army into war; there’s no way a little flirting or romance could crumble you like this.
Because that would be humiliating for you.
After what seemed like hours of waiting, Sangyeon finally returned. He immediately approached you, causing you to get up frantically from the couch before clearing your throat to get back into your supposed role.
“H-How was the discussion with Mr Stromberg, my love?”
“Oh, I assure you, honey, that everything went very well, and it’s time for us to move now.”
With that, you linked your arms with his before you bid farewell to the assistant as she showed the way out. Instantly, you both got into the vehicle and drove off from the lab, heading straight to the docks.
Again, it seems as if Sangyeon hasn’t had enough of the breaking-the-ice talks with you. He decided to keep the ball rolling and would constantly come up with something to discuss when all you wanted was peace and quiet.
Especially after what happened back at the lab.
“Honey, you’re still blushing,” he teased.
“Cut the crap, Sangyeon. We’re no longer in our role-plays.”
“Aww, and I thought we were both finally partners now? What’s with the foul mood once again?”
“Shut up and drive, I swear,” you huffed.
“Or else?”
“I will actually throw you right into the ocean right now.”
“Feisty. I love it.”
Oh, hell no, you were definitely frustrated, alright.
Just before you could make your following remark, a bullet instantly grazes through the vehicle, causing you both to turn your heads behind to see that you were now being chased by several vehicles, all of whom were part of Mr Stromberg’s bodyguards.
“Guess the infamous man himself isn’t so dull, after all,” Sangyeon commented before speeding up the vehicle. As he was about to reach for his revolver, which was hidden on the side of his seat, you immediately stopped him by grabbing his wrist.
“Don’t bother, just continue driving up ahead. I’ll keep them busy.”
With that, you instantly took out the gun that was hidden inside your purse and reloaded the weapon within seconds before you peered your head out from the windows and began shooting at the bodyguards.
It was fairly easy for you, being KGB’s best sniper, as you were able to hit all of the vital spots of the vehicles, causing each of them to lose control before either crashing right into the slope of the hill or into the ocean. However, it seemed as if the vehicles kept coming, for you were not coming any closer to knocking them out for good.
“It seems like Stromberg has way too many henchmen on patrol,” you commented before resuming your work.
At this point, Sangyeon has already driven you nearly half the distance to the docks, and you were coming far from eliminating all of them. Suddenly, things were about to get from bad to worse when a big truck came crashing into you, trying its best to damage your vehicle in hopes of attempting that the both of you would surrender. That was when the driver peered their head out from the windows and immediately aimed his gun towards you.
Jaws.
Sangyeon clearly saw what had unfolded, and he quickly swerved the vehicle to the left in hopes that the criminal would miss the shot (which he did) before pressing onto the accelerator once more to head as fast as he could to the docks. At the same time, the sound of a helicopter's thrum came flying in, and you both peered your heads up to see that it was the same assistant from before driving it.
“Agent 007 and Major L/N, I would highly advise you to hand over the microfilm and surrender quietly right now,” the assistant announced out loud through the radios before aiming her gun towards you both.
You both were stuck in a tight-knit situation: a car chase from Jaws and his men while Stromberg’s assistant was above the high ground. Now, there was nowhere to hide or run.
Or so you thought.
“Say, Y/N. Can you swim?” Sangyeon asked swiftly.
“W-What? What are you saying-”
Before you could respond, Sangyeon quickly pressed one of the many buttons on his steering wheel, causing his vehicle to launch a missile from the back towards Jaws and his men. The missile instantly hit the cars, and they all blew up within seconds before Sangyeon drove the vehicle straight into the ocean.
Once the vehicle came into contact with water, it seemingly transformed itself into a mini-like submarine, making it easy to navigate and drive through underneath the water.
“Well, it also seems that we should eliminate our unwanted guests, no?” Sangyeon questioned before pressing another button. He launched a missile that shot straight up out from the waters and right towards the helicopter, making it explode almost immediately.
Now that all enemies were gone, Sangyeon rolled his shoulders to relax the tension that he had gotten throughout the car chase before driving smoothly through the waters.
Throughout your time as an agent, you have witnessed and experienced crazy things, but nothing came close to what you had just seen with your very own eyes.
Grabbing onto the handle upon your seat, you turned to Sangyeon and let out a little huff before shaking your head. “You’re insane.”
“I know, sweetheart. That’s why people adore me.”
Tumblr media
It has been about an hour since the both of you got back to your accommodations, and you were now just writing in your journal as a time to wind down for a little bit. Both you and Sangyeon had a little chat about the findings he had gotten through the microfilm, and talking to Mr Stromberg himself was that he had a hidden supertanker in the ocean called The Liparus and an underwater base named Atlantis. In order to proceed, both of you needed to wait for your next orders from both generals specifically to arrange a much more suitable transport and disguise to head over to the locations.
So here you were, relaxing with your journal while Sangyeon was busy taking a nice hot bath after all the chase from Stromberg’s henchmen hours ago. When you heard the water supply being turned off, the male stepped out of his bathrobe and took a towel to dry his hair as he approached you.
Once again, your cheek began burning red as you took in the sight before you—his hair dripping wet, his bare face as he just got out of the shower, and the slightly exposed chest from the bathrobe.
It’s illegal to look this good, Lee Sangyeon.
“Like what you see, princess?”
With that, you immediately snapped back into reality, clearly your throat, before ducking your head back to your journal. “In your face, you idiot.”
Just when you thought that returning to your journal would help you escape his torments and flirty comments, you suddenly felt the need to lift your head to see what was happening. You felt that someone had been eyeing you up close for a while now.
Turns out your instinct was true, and you could’ve sworn that you were about to explode anytime now due to the immense heat rising rapidly up to your head as Sangyeon had positioned himself entirely on top of you, both of his legs on either side of yours as he leans his head forward, making you lay back down on the couch.
“W-What on earth do you think you’re doing!” You screamed, covering your face with your journal before the man himself removed it.
“You have been acting strangely since this morning, Y/N. Care to share with me why exactly that is?”
“I-It’s none of your business!”
“Unfortunately, now that we’re no longer strangers but partners, I deserve to know every single detail about what’s going on in that little mind of yours,” he retorted while lifting his fingers to rub your nose, making your stomach feel even worse. “Tell me, princess. Pinky promise that we won’t keep any secrets from each other, no?”
“Jokes on you, we’re spies. We’ll always live a double life. You’ll never get to know about my secrets, ever.”
“Hmm, maybe I can make that happen.”
In the blink of an eye, he immediately leans down to kiss your lips directly, slowly increasing the pressure as he lowers his body to yours. You were too stunned to react and could only open your eyes to see the whole thing unfold before you. Within seconds, he pulled away before rubbing his thumb across his lips, savouring your taste on his.
“Hmm, mango lip balm huh? That’s my favourite kind of flavour,” he smirked.
Goddamn you, Lee Sangyeon.
“I swear you’re so-”
Before you could finish your sentence, a knock was heard from the front door, and Sangyeon immediately got up from you and headed towards the source of the sound. He then unlocked the door to see that a messenger had arrived to pass him a note.
As you squint your eyes to examine the letter from afar, you clearly see the stamp on it, and you know that it is time to cut off all of this nonsense and get back to work as soon as possible.
Sangyeon immediately returns to the living space and opens up to read the letter in his hands. Thanks to Q’s examination, it seemed that The Liparus and Atlantis were keeping something far more threatening, and it was up to you two to head there as quickly as you could before it was too late. The two of you were to board a US submarine that would be passing back to Sardinia early the next morning, with the general already informing the crew abroad about your presence.
“Alright, that seems plausible,” Sangyeon replied before burning the letter into the fireplace (it was what spies usually do after receiving a message about the next mission or crucial evidence anyway).
As you took on the next mission, you stood up before heading back towards your room to pack up for the trip before Sangyeon stopped you in your tracks by posing a question.
“That nightgown sure does look pretty on you.”
You figured you were done trying to escape his comments, so you took a deep breath and tried your best to respond properly. “Yeah, I got it in Austria a few weeks prior. It’s such a beautiful place.”
“Indeed. I miss travelling there; I’ll have to head back there soon.”
“Oh? So you have been to Austria? When was your last trip?” You asked.
“Two weeks ago.”
Just then, that comment suddenly rang a bell in your head. Sangyeon was there two weeks ago, just like you did, but both knew very little about the other. But what if…there was a possibility that he knew about your ex-lover? You were all spies; surely you must’ve known about one another, even in an auditory manner.
Instantly, you marched towards Sangyeon, pulling up a picture of your ex-lover and shovelling it into his face. You desperately wanted to find answers and a conclusion to the case. “Do you recognise this man?”
It took Sangyeon a while to look at him before he stepped away and started pacing around the room. “No, what makes you say that?”
“He was Agent Seryozha, my lover,” you bluntly replied.
After a few moments of what seemed like Sangyeon trying to find the right words to respond to your comment, he placed both hands on his hips and slowly walked towards you.
“Hear this out, Y/N. If you’re out trying to enjoy your little break and someone comes up behind you in an attempt to murder you, you don’t always have the time to remember who the individual may look like. In other words, agents like us must always be prepared to give up our lives in the line of duty. If I knew that, then so did he.”
With one final step in front of you, he stares down at your face before he humbly whispers to you with a “Yes, I did kill him”.
Your facial expression immediately sank and tightened. Both hands balled up into fists, resisting the urge to lose your cool for the millionth time before him. Instead, you calmly tip-toed up to bring his neck down with your hands as you leaned into his ear.
“Well then, thanks for finally putting a closure to this case. So when this mission is finally over, I will kill you with my own bare hands.”
Once you had made your point, you immediately shoved him away and stomped towards your room, slamming the door shut loudly before leaning against it. Taking a deep breath, you just wished this nightmare would end soon.
Just when things finally looked good for us, Sangyeon.
Tumblr media
You knew from the back of your mind that kiss meant something, or at least you thought it was. Sure, he was a womaniser, but the Sangyeon you knew wouldn’t go around kissing random women like that. As much as you wanted to ask him about it, you had your ego and pride to keep, not wanting to show that he was winning the little game that he was playing. Hence, you kept your mouth shut and spared little to no glance at the man since the day before, even as you were slowly let down into the submarine sent by both of the generals for you to board to head to Stromberg’s The Liparus to find out what exactly he was hiding truly.
The commander was surprised to see a woman like you on board, but Sangyeon jumped into your defence, and you were immediately let loose, given that they were now aware you were the Major L/N of KGB. After some time of meticulous planning of how everyone would proceed, the alarm started going off immediately, sending everyone on the submarine into a frenzy.
It wasn’t long before you and Sangyeon realised that the tanker had captured the submarine, the vehicle slowly rising from the waters to the docks. Immediately, Sangyeon nudged your shoulders and quietly said that the missing submarines had been found, each hanging up on both sides of the docks.
Now, you have plenty of evidence that Stromberg was the man behind the disappearance of the submarines and the illegal distribution of microfilms.
But the question of why Stromberg did it still remains a mystery.
Why?
“All crew members of the USS Wayne, surrender yourselves immediately with your hands behind your back right this second,” one of the commanders announced out loud from the speakers.
This was when you knew it was time to put your feelings aside and that working with Sangyeon for now was best. You both needed to devise a plan to release the two submarines and save the crew simultaneously. Time was ticking as you were now being escorted out of the submarine to the docks, but Sangyeon managed to take off his cap and place it right on your head, pushing it down to ensure it was intact.
“Stay close to me; I’ll keep you safe from Stromberg’s men.”
You didn’t give him a proper response but managed to walk right in front of him as you exited the submarine, lining up with the crew as Stromberg’s men carefully examined every single one of you. They pulled out batons and immediately started landing a few blows directly onto the crew members as if to torture and humiliate them.
Your blood was boiling, and you couldn’t wait to take these men down with your bare hands. You have done it countless times, taking out an entire army alone; it was easy for you. However, Sangyeon notices that you are about to jump right onto the men and perform a takedown; he snakes his hand to intertwine with yours from behind, putting a slight pressure to tell you this wouldn’t be a good idea for now.
The only thing was: were you going to take up his advice?
As one of the men stood before you, he looked suspiciously at you, examining you from top to bottom before commenting on your body: “You look far too slim and weak to be in the navy, youngster.” Just then, he took his baton to lift your cap, causing all of your long, brown, wavy hair to fall straight down to your shoulders, and his eyes widened upon the sight.
Within seconds, you quickly landed a strong punch into his abdomen before running to do the same to the other men, instantly knocking them out cold. All of the other henchmen on duty on higher grounds quickly started aiming their snipers towards you, shooting recklessly in hopes of one of the bullets hitting you eventually. Little did they know that you are the best sniper in KGB, so obviously, reading and sensing where the bullets were coming from was a breeze in the park.
When you have taken down all of the men at the docks, a shadowy figure emerges upon you, yanking both your arms behind your back, leaving you no room for escape. Suddenly, you felt that familiar breath hit the back of your neck, and you slowly turned behind to look at the familiar figure.
“Jaws.”
“My my! What a sight that was!” Another shadow emerges on the top of the deck, accompanied by a hand-clapping sound that the individual was producing. It was the infamous man himself. “I’ve always wanted to see the infamous Major L/N in action with my own eyes.”
This can’t be good.
“Now, it’s very brave of a woman like you to board my tanker, but I think you’ll be far more useful if you quietly come with me. I could definitely use some help in my office.” He steps in front of you and takes a strand of your hair before he starts twirling it around his finger. As much as you want to retaliate and land a blow into his face to break his jaw, you are stuck and unable to move even in the slightest.
Jaws indeed was an exceptional human being.
“Hate to be the party pooper, but I’m sure I could be of better use to you than she will be, Mr Stromberg,” Sangyeon cuts in as he slowly makes his way towards you both, aiming his revolver right at the mastermind himself.
Mentally, you were sending him death stares, thinking that he was out of his mind to aim his gun at Stromberg when dozens of snipers were already aiming right at him from above. Instead of putting up another joke to ease the situation (which he usually did to tease you), he glared right into your eyes, signalling a code only high-ranking agents like you could understand from the get-go.
Don’t miss my signal, and do it right away.
With a gulp, you carefully examined his body movements and speech, studying his demeanour to explore the opening that would let you know that you could finally retaliate and defeat the criminals themselves.
“Ah, Mr Bond. Your disguise as Dr. Lee the other day certainly did not go unnoticed. I assure you that my men are far more ready to deal with whatever tricks you are about to pull,” Stromberg responded confidently.
“Now, that makes me so happy to hear you have been expecting my arrival. But I must first and foremost deeply apologise, for I probably would not be meeting your expectations.”
That sent a confused look in Stromberg’s eyes, and it was then Sangyeon pointed his gun up and fired a shot, causing the entire electricity to go off in the tanker, making all of the henchmen panic and lose their cool.
Now that it was dark, you had a bigger advantage of taking down the criminals, starting with Jaws. You lifted your legs to land a solid kick up on his thighs, causing him to yelp in pain as he released you from his grip. You quickly climbed up to Jaws and gave him a headlock, knocking him out temporarily so that you had time to deal with the other henchmen for now.
Before you could even make your way up, you noticed Sangyeon’s absence and began hearing multiple men grunting on the upper docks. This gave you more than enough hints that your partner was up there dealing with the mess.
Instead, you decided to follow and hunt down Stromberg, following his faint shadows as he disappeared into the bottom deck. Many obstacles were in the way, such as laser fields and sleeping gas. Still, thanks to your flexibility and agility, you avoided each one, narrowing the distance between you and the mastermind.
Eventually, you reached the control room, where the man stood before the panel, his hands inches away from pushing down on a huge red button.
Aiming the gun right at him, you weren’t going to waste any more time and let him run loose again, and you were finally going to get him to spill all of the motives and deeds he had done up till this point.
“You want to know why I stole the two submarines in the first place, sweetheart? I am going to use the missiles in both submarines to destroy Moscow and New York City and create a whole new underwater world where people could reside.”
“You’re just going to trigger a global nuclear war.”
“And what about it? As long as I have the Atlantis, it’ll all be possible!” He screamed, inches away from pushing the button down any second now. “So say your last prayers to these beloved cities, and join us to start a new civilisation underwater!”
No, you don’t.
Without a thought to spare, you instantly aimed and pulled the trigger at his wrist, the bullet penetrating right through the skin and causing him to pull back as he yelped in pain. You weren’t going to let him live just like that, and you were more than ready to throw the man right into the cold, rising ocean water that was now slowly filling up the tanker.
Right when you were just about to do the deed, someone grabbed your wrist and held you back. It was Sangyeon. “Women like you shouldn’t get your hands dirty; let me do the honours.” With one swift push, he was immediately thrown into the waters, trying to survive the best that he could until the water completely engulfed him.
Sangyeon then turned his head back and walked straight to the panel, typing in a few things that you could barely make out yourself. This made you squint your eyes and try your best to read his fingers on the letters he was typing.
“Don’t do that; it doesn’t look pretty on your face.”
“Mind your own business; what exactly are you doing now?”
“Honey, I’m trying my best to contact the respective submarines to pull back and not fire the missiles, but it turns out that it’s not really plausible since the missiles are already loaded and ready to go.”
“So, what do you plan to do now?”
“Well, there’s only one option left. And that is to make both submarines destroy one another.”
Destroy one another? You have got to be joking. Your mission was to find out the locations of both missing submarines to ensure your respective agencies were safe and sound. So why destroy them now?
“Because that’s the only way to prevent a war from happening, sweetheart. It’s now or never,” Sangyeon made his point loud and clear, and he would not take no as an option. Reluctantly, you finally accepted his decision and gave him a nod, allowing him to proceed with what he was doing.
That was until Jaws interrupted you both once again, this time holding a broken piece of cement from the flood on the upper floors. He quickly aimed and hit you with it, but you dodged it swiftly. It seemed like he wouldn’t go down without a fight, and you certainly couldn’t let him distract Sangyeon while he was trying his best to send coordinates to both submarine commanders.
Then, you noticed an opening where a wired fence had broken apart, leaving a hole that someone could easily fall into if they weren’t careful. Then you decided to take the chance, moving slowly towards that spot while still dodging Jaws’ attacks.
Slowly but surely, you finally began to see an opening, and you immediately moved out of the way, causing Jaws to run right towards the edge of the opening. He started to lose his balance before finally falling straight into Stromberg’s shark tank, which he kept handy while running his illegal business.
After ensuring that Jaws was busy with the shark in the tank, you quickly ran back to Sangyeon, who was now staring intently at the screen with his arms crossed. With that, you clearly got the message that he had successfully sent the respective coordinates and was now waiting for both submarines to launch the missile against one another instead.
“How much longer?” You asked the male.
“Hmm, I’d say in T minus…10 seconds.”
“W-What? 10 seconds? Then-”
“Yes, sweetheart. It’s time to get the hell out of here.”
Immediately, Sangyeon quickly grabbed your wrist and pulled you away. He returned to the docks and found the nearest exit before jumping straight into the escape pod. Sangyeon wasted no time navigating and getting the thing to work as you both quickly got the hell out of the tanker that was about to sink.
Apparently, he could also free the other crew members beforehand while you were busy chasing down Stromberg and had them returned to their submarine. With his signal, the commander on board was to shoot down both The Liparus and Atlantis. In order to do that, both of you needed to get far away enough to make it happen.
After navigating through the open waters for about ten minutes, Sangyeon sent the commander a set of coordinates via the mini-control panel on the side of the escape pod. Two missiles were then launched immediately, shooting down both Stromberg’s hideouts.
It all happened so quickly. Now that both submarines were destroyed, and so was Stromberg’s valued tanker and hideout, the mission was finally accomplished.
Or was it?
Instantly, you pulled out a revolver from your holster and pushed it right towards Sangyeon’s skull. You have always kept true to your promise, after all.
“What is this all about, princess?”
“Like I’ve said before. Once the mission is over, and so will we, I will kill you for what you have done to my past lover.”
Sangyeon immediately shut his eyes and took a deep breath. “Sweetheart, you clearly said that it was your past lover. Would killing me do any good or bring him back to life?”
You hated how much his words stung your heart. You were too blinded by rage and revenge to determine right and wrong. Since the beginning, Sangyeon has always been there and kept you safe while completing the mission. Sure, he was a womaniser and could be a pain in the ass sometimes, but he always kept his word, no matter what he did.
If it wasn’t for him, you weren’t sure you could complete this whole mission alone. Yet, you couldn’t bring it out from your mouth to actually acknowledge his presence in your life and how he was somehow able to give you a sense of comfort throughout the past couple of weeks as you mourned over the death of your ex-partner.
Your grip on the revolver loosened, and Sangyeon made a move to grab hold of your wrist and slowly pull it down. It was evident by now that your tears began flowing again, and he reached out to brush them off with his thumbs before lifting your chin with his fingers to make you look straight into his eyes.
“You have done so well, Major Y/N. I couldn’t be more proud of you as a partner.”
“P-Partner?” You sniffled.
Instantly, his eyes brightened, and he leaned in close to you. “Unless you would like to proceed further than that?”
Not wanting to lose the fight, you placed both hands behind his neck, pulling him in closer to you so that both lips were now inches apart. “Don’t be stupid.”
You had no idea what made you return the favour this time when you have been actively rejecting his comfort and touch for so long. Perhaps it was because you have finally decided to accept reality and move on with life; you didn’t even know much about yourself. But you needed one thing so badly: to feel his lips on yours again.
You couldn’t enjoy it much during your first time with him (well, it was his fault for teasing you and thinking that it would be a good idea somehow to manipulate your thoughts and emotions in a bathrobe). Still, he also wore a cologne that smelled way too good for him, one that would lure you in if you weren’t careful enough.
His lips, god. Never in a million years would his nasty mouth actually hold such plump and flavourful lips, and he definitely knew his way around kissing a woman. He knew the right pace, movement and pressure to please someone, and he was also wearing a mango-flavoured lip balm, very similar to the one you would often wear yourself.
When you both finally broke apart for some air, Sangyeon gave you a grin, and you returned the favour with a slap on his shoulders, knowing that he was going to say something about you.
“So you finally admitted your feelings for me, princess? It took you long enough to do so,” he teased.
You knew all along that your feelings for Sangyeon weren’t normal. It definitely did seem like Sangyeon was an escape for you to get over your ex, but eventually, it blossomed into something more, and you fell for his charms. At this point, you knew there was no longer a way to hide your feelings, and it was time to face reality the way it is.
“You could’ve just told me you wanted me this badly, Y/N,” he continued.
“I’m still going to kill you someday, Sangyeon. Don’t get all cocky,” you deadpanned.
However, the male wasn’t affected in the slightest, and he leans back down to reconnect your lips with his once more.
“Tempting, and I’ll very much look forward to the day when it happens.”

"Jim stared at it. If Spock’s robe was elegant, Jim's could be better described as extravagant. The entire thing was shiny gold cloth, weighted down with heavy black embroidery dotted with tiny green crystals on the sleeves. The shoulders were built out slightly, a common Vulcan fashion that made them look even more intimidating than usual. There was also a gold headpiece, less a crown than a collection of linked chains, with a large green stone in the middle."
“For a final touch, he brushed a little gold powder on Jim’s cheekbones… Jim . . . looked like a sun god.”

Ok so my next chaparral_crown bind is pending bookboard for a cutout design, so that's on the back burner till bookboard arrives! Did this in the interim, since I've leapt onto the 00q train pretty hard! They're my new favourite ship and I love the fic dynamics!
Statistics:
89,065 words || 294 pages
Chapter titling: Brigmore Thin
Body text: Liberation Serif
Accents: Petrona
My initial plans for this bind was to do a ship-shaped cutout from chiyogami paper - to which my cricut blade said f-no and proceeded to shred my very precious paper. So back to the drawing board and to the tried and tested method of HTV I went.
Boy, did I have trouble with colour for this bind - I am ridiculously bad at colour, my friends, I am one of those people who can maybe match 2 colours but ask me to pick a contrasting one to match and I'll go fjrbdidsmfbejsnbxks how does one do such sorcery. Again, Manda my sounding board who is excellent at colour matching contrasting colours had to listen to 3 different separate colour rants/panic attacks, not that I actually listened to them because I am an absolute wuss when it comes to colour.
Ugh I had so much fun with the typesetting. I actually found this font - Brigmore Thin, which the background decor for the font was London Bridge and I went yup, that's the font I want. As per the fic, I included parts of the Ulysses poem by Tennyson, which corresponded to chapter titles.
The main cover title page is less striking then I had wanted - curse my lack of colour printing and inability to colour the middle of the target sight red.
Tumblr media
Also did my best to include a black and white spread of that image of the meet infront of The Fighting Temeraire. Absolutely iconic. My printer wasn't very up to it, but it tried.
Anyway, so- endbands!!! I had a good time making them, this is my first attempt that isn't a trial book, and I have fallen in love with capricious capricious silk. It just looks so good, even though it's slippery as hell.
I took two tries at this textblock because I overtrimmed the first one. Still thinking of what to do with it- it's actually fine, and readable, the page numbers still exist but it's just got such a thin margin I went eugh no and had to make a second copy.
Despite my general anxiety regarding this bind, it didn't turn out too badly.
I'm starting to prep for binderary so I'm overwhelmingly excited about that. My goal is officially 3-4 in February but I've planned for 6-7. Unsure if it will happen but I'm hopeful as I do have some leave then.

I kept trying to find a particular fanfic but every fic seemed to be replaced by one particular spicy fic. I eventually gave up and read it. The spelling was horrible but the plot was decent (James Bond type heist). I couldn’t skip the spicy parts but I have thankfully forgotten them.
