So as well as the Superman Triangle Era omni, we're also getting a Hellblazer by Jamie Delano omni in October which will collect #1-22, Annual #1, The Sandman #3, as well as #65-77 from Rick Veitch's Swamp Thing run. I expect the eventual volume 2 will collected #23-40, #84, #250, The Horrorist, Bad Blood, and Pandemonium

“comics are so political now!! i miss the old days when they weren’t political at all!!”
the entire plot of hellblazer #3 (1988) is that conservatives winning the 1987 election is something that literal demons from hell were rooting for. go back to sucking elon musk’s dick on twitter.

Unpopular opinions but I did not enjoy Jamie Delano’s writing. Shit got too weird and too sexual real fast.

I was in the mood for a graphic novel so I picked up the next Hellblazer!
“All right then, Moby Dick call me Ishmael!”
I loved this as a continuation of the Hellblazer comics. It picked up right where Vol 1 left off, and we saw the consequences of some of the actions that I want closure for. I really want to continue the series. John Constantine is slowly becoming my favourite comic but still a very close second.
I’m loving the demons and exorcisms and the whole heaven and hell fight- more than I would expect but I do feel like if I continue those things are going to get old fast.
“It’s true revenge is sweet.”
As I’m reading Vol 1 and esp Vol 2 I’m seeing that while Constantine is fighting the denizens of Hell he very much embodies a lot of their traits and sometimes even has the same drive. The only Constantine media I had before these was the Keanu Reeves movie (I know it ain’t happening but I wish they’d make a sequel) and you saw a bit of that but the comic books are very much delving into how he is becoming the things he fights. And it makes for great characterisation.
