: ̗̀➛ Jane The Killer: Smut Alphabet
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
So caring and sweet. She’ll be holding you, cleaning you up, and peppering you with kisses, telling you how much she loves you.
Your body will be COVERED in black lipstick marks.
You love it though <3
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
She likes her whole body, she’s hot and she knows it.
She loves your cute face and pretty mouth the most. ;)
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
On your face. Her favorite way to get off is sitting on and riding your mouth, using you for her own pleasure.
Afterwards, your mouth and chin are completely soaked and dripping with her cum.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
She may be very gentle, but she's also incredibly dominant. I think deep down she'd have a little fantasy of chasing you down through the woods like a hunter, catching you and fucking you hard and rough into the ground.
hunter/prey play🤤>>>
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Fairly experienced. She’s picky with partners, she could also easily get anyone she does want, major siren/succubus energy.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
Any: Missionary with her on top. When she’s using her strap, she loves to lean over, whisper in your ear, and play with your tits/nipples.
Sitting on your face is another thing she loves.
AMAB Reader: Cowgirl. Sometimes she’ll tie up or cuff your hands so you can’t touch her. She thinks it’s cute to see you desperate and begging to grab on her.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
A little mix of both. She doesn’t exactly make jokes, but she’ll playfully tease and mock you, saying things that both embarrass you and turn you on.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Has it trimmed & shaped into something like a heart, upside down triangle, or landing strip.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
The most romantic of them all. Always very slow and sensual, holding you tight, caressing all the right places as she whispers in your ear. She always dims the lights beforehand to set the mood.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Not often. Usually if she wants to get off, she’ll find someone to do it for her.
Especially now that you two are together, if she’s horny you’ll be on your knees for her in an instant.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Femdom, mommy, praise, dirty talk, biting/giving hickeys, pegging.
Even if you're on top, she’ll be under you telling you what to do at all times.
Sensory play. Like ice cubes, hot wax, feathers, spanking, blindfolds, etc…
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
Your room, she’s a simple lady, she likes total privacy.
Once in a while she might tease you under the table though.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Usually nothing specific, just happens.
But sometimes she’ll just be watching you from across the room and get that tingling feeling out of nowhere, when that happens she’s immediately getting up and bringing you to your shared room.
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
No tying her up or doing anything painful. She’ll let you get on top, but you can’t dom her.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
No preference, expects both each time you two fuck.
Very, very skilled. She’ll have you cumming in minutes from just her tongue.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Slow and sensual almost always. She wants to edge you and make you last as long as possible.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Doesn’t do quickies, they’re no fun for her. She likes to take her time with you and enjoy it.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
Pretty down to experiment, esp if it’s with toys. Some pasta's, like Toby, see toys as competition or a replacement, but she see's them as a teammate. They only enhance the experience.
She likes some risk, like maybe fucking in the backseat of your car or touching under the table with others around.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
High stamina. She can, and will, fuck you from night to morning.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
Has a small collection. A few types of vibrators, blindfold, fuzzy handcuffs, rope, paddle, and candles to drip.
And of course, her strap with a few different size choices.
She only really uses these on you, once in a while she’ll use a vib on herself though.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
Loves to tease you till your close to cumming in your pants.
She’s so mean with the amount of teasing she does, but the way she fucks you in the end always makes it SOOO worth it.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
A little vocal, lots of heavy breathes and moans. They're kinda quiet though.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
She’ll be a cougar when she’s 40+
Sorry, but i make the rules here! and i need cougar Jane in my life!
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
Curvy pear shape body.
Thick thighs, hips, and butt. Big, perky tits.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Average. She’ll wanna have sex every 2-3 days.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
She also doesn’t, she likes to watch you sleep first.
I love our stalker mommy gf <3

Since you beaten Spider Man 2, and I just recently finished the game. How about us getting k!lled or wounded by Kraven somewhere in the world, and him calling Peter or Mary Jane or Miles that he's coming, very similar how Han Lue from Tokyo Drift d!£d. How would they react, can be platonic, but feel free to ignore this.
Kraven the hunter headcanon
Tumblr media
TBH it took me a little bit to figure out what you said lol, But nevertheless, it shall be achieved, my first angst headcanon if it's slightly okay with you anon, I'm gonna stick to New York as I know nothing about Symkaria.
You were on a mission when Peter told you to scope out a building in Chinatown.
It looked abandoned for such a long time, and only recently it was bought, almost the whole block too.
Sneaking in, you then took pictures of what you managed to see.
Technology and weapons everywhere.
But as you were investigating, you began to hear voices, you were quick to retreat, hiding behind nearby weapon crates.
"Please don't see me. Please don't see me" You whispered to yourself.
Until the voices were gone you then looked at the photos and were satisfied by the evidence you got, you decided to make a run for it.
But as you tried to run, you felt a giant hand grasp your neck.
Tightly, the man began to strangle you.
"H...he...help..." You managed to say.
"Such weak prey... you could've been a good hunt" This man said softly and menacingly at the same time.
He tightened his grip as your face was now turning pale.
SNAP !!!!!
He dropped you like a ragdoll as he had broken your neck, Instantly killing you.
Before this man walked away, he saw your phone ring.
On the screen was Peter.
He then answered it, smirking.
"Y/n, did you get the evidence of the building ??"
"I'm afraid y/n is dead" He said.
Peter felt his stomach drop as he heard the mystery man.
To put salt on the wound, he then sent him a photo of your corpse as well.
"Whoever you think you are Peter Parker... Know this"
"The hunt has begun, you are my next target"
Then crushing your phone, He ordered his hunters to light the fires as the hunt for this Peter Parker, has now begun.

2023 Reads: thelonelybrilliance
Final count 72! I set a goal of 52 originally but raised the bar when I realized that would only bring me into early November.
Decided it would be fun to share some stats and recommendations along with the full list.
First, ten recommendations:
The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner (best completed series)
Gregory Orr, The Last Love Poem I Will Ever Write (best new poetry read)
Minka Kelly, Tell Me Everything (best memoir)
E.B. White, Here Is New York (best short read)
Carrie Fisher, The Princess Diarist (best journals)
Sydney Taylor, All-of-a-Kind Family (best children's lit)
Laurie Halse Anderson, Shout (best poetry memoir)
George Eliot, Middlemarch (best classic)
Michelle Zauner, Crying in H Mart (best food writing)
Red Rising series by Pierce Brown (best sci-fi/ongoing series + best audio drama (Red Rising (Book 1))
Of my 72 reads, 31 were rereads, 41 new . Four were audiobooks, the rest print (primarily e-books). My longest read was David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. My shortest read (I think? A lot of poetry collections are short) was the longform essay, Here Is New York by E.B. White. I read the most books in December (15) and the least in June (2). 50 authors were women, 21 were men, and one poetry collection was multi-author. My most-read authors were as follows:
Megan Whalen Turner (7 books)
Lucy Maud Montgomery (6 books)
Louise Glück (5 books)
Elizabeth Wein (5 books)

So the new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse just came out, and because I'm a fucking enormous nerd who loves Spider-Man, I'm going to go through that big zooming shot with all the Spider-People and try to figure out where they're all from. If I can't figure it out and you have a better guess, let me know and we can figure it out together.
Even blown up on my 75 inch monitor, these first ones are hard to see, especially because of internet video compression, but I can kind of make out the color scheme of a suit that a version of Spider-Man who was in the Avengers wore. He was just called The Spider and he was kind of an asshole.
Tumblr media
Some of these I can't find anything about even though they're pretty distinctive. I might have to go back and read through my Spider-Verse comics to see if any of them made appearances there. For instance, this guy in the red with the glowing blue chest symbol:
Tumblr media
The one facing the camera could be a 2099 suit variant but the last one has basically no visible distinguishing features so it's impossible to tell. I also have no idea who this purple guy is. Could be a design based off the Prowler, especially ItSV's version of the Prowler.
Tumblr media
The guy he's talking to though appears to be wearing Spider-Man's classic comic book suit. This one seems even closer to the original design than Peter B's suit, which is based off the more modern comic redesigns. This is the OG.
Tumblr media
Again, I can't figure out who the big guy is here but the other one might be Ben Reilly:
Tumblr media
Specifically Ben Reilly wearing an advanced suit given to him by the Beyond Corporation, which isn't really a corporation per se, more a collection of entities that exist between universes and decided to start multiversal capitalism. Based on the weird extradimensional corporate aesthetics of the film, Beyond Corporation or at least the Beyonders might have something to do with the plot of Across the Spider-Verse.
Tumblr media
There's Insomniac Spider-Man chatting it up with Superior Spider-Man, who was Otto Octavius's mind in the body of Peter Parker. Not an alternate universe character, by the way. This happened in the main comic series. Spider-Man was just being possessed by Doc Ock for a while.
Tumblr media
Here's the Mk II Armor suit hanging out with another guy I can't place. Spider-Man's Mk II armor was created by Horizon Labs to help Peter out when he lost his Spider-Sense for a little while. If you can't dodge bullets anymore, might as well get a bulletproof suit.
There are three others on this bridge I can't place. They all look to be women, and they've got color schemes that have been on Spider-Man suits before, but in different patterns, so I'm a little stumped. I imagine not all of these are going to be references, and some are just created from wholecloth, but if you can figure it out, let me know!
Tumblr media
This is probably Mary Jane and Mayday Parker, although I'm not familiar with the suits. Mary Jane has gotten spider powers in a few universes, and when Peter and MJ have a daughter in most universes, her name is Mayday, and she usually has spider powers.
Which is a lot better than that one universe where MJ got cancer and died because Peter had radioactive cum. I'm not kidding, that's a real thing that happened in an official comic series.
Tumblr media
The red and white is another Scarlet Spider variant suit. Not sure about the red and yellow next to him.
Tumblr media
This one with the clockwork arms is Lady Spider. She appeared a few times in the latest Spider-Verse event and comes from a cool steampunk universe. She has no powers, just her spider arms and web shooters, and is technically an alternate universe version of Aunt May.
Tumblr media
This guy looks... naked??
It could be Savage Spider-Man? Or Kraven the Hunter Spider? But it looks like he's not wearing pants, so it might just be a weird skin-toned suit. I dunno.
Anyway here's Spider-Clan from the Spider-Man manga dabbing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy's pretty prominent. I think he's supposed to be a reference but I'm not sure to what. It could be Spider-Cop, but he's missing his hat, sunglasses and mustache.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This might be the original Iron Spider suit from the comics. Tony Stark made it for him after he came back from being dead for the, like, 3rd time.
Tumblr media
This looks like Miles Morales's PS4 costume, but it swings by pretty fast, so it's hard to make out much detail.
Tumblr media
Bombastic Bag Man! This is a little different to his appearance in the comics, but there have been a couple times Peter needed a spare suit on short notice and had to borrow one from the Fantastic Four. Their suits don't have masks, though, so he wore a bag on his head instead.
The first iteration also had a "Kick Me!" sign on the back, because the Human Torch thought it would be funny.
Tumblr media
Here's werewolf Spider-Man in the back. During a crossover event, Ash from the Evil Dead comics ended up going to a few different universes, one of which started the Marvel Zombies series (which is actually a pretty good series). Another one he went to had a bunch of superheroes turning into werewolves, and Spider-Man was one of them.
Tumblr media
This looks like a suit Spider-Man wore when he was part of the Future Foundation; a version of the Fantastic Four that formed when the Human Torch died.
Tumblr media
This looks similar to Spider-Punk. He's got the jacket and the pants, but instead of his mohawk spikes, he's got some kind of camo baseball cap or something, and what looks like a face mask of some sort.
Tumblr media
In this shot, Miles is fighting with the Mk I armor and something similar to the Mk III armor, although it's definitely different. The lady with six arms is a mystery to me.
Tumblr media
Yo, is that Jessica Drew Spider-Woman? Jess Drew gets overlooked a lot despite being the first Spider-Woman. I hope she gets some kind of role in this movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spider-Monkey is from the Marvel Apes universe. Yeah, there's a Marvel Apes universe.
Tumblr media
I'm getting tired but I remember this one from somewhere. A cartoon maybe? I think I remember seeing a Spider-Man suit with a cape as a kid and thinking it was dumb because Spider-Man doesn't wear a cape.
Anyway that's all I could find aside from the main characters. Again, if you can track down any other references let me know. I'm too much of a nerd to let this go.

LGBTQ Disabled Characters in the Showdown Currently
Notes:
1.) This list is subject to change; before we start the showdown there will be another post with all confirmed characters. Characters are under the cut.
2.) If you see a character on here and you want to submit propaganda for them the form will still be open.
3.) If you think of a character that is not on the list you can still submit them in our form found here. If you submitted a character and they are not on the list, it might be an error on our part, but first check here to see what characters we rejected and why. More about submissions here.
4.) Submissions after this post will be open at least until August 10, but this could be extended. The only way this could be shortened is if we get 192 or more characters, but that seems unlikely. There will be around 12 hours notice before submission close.
5.) The categories are just a way to sort out characters in a more efficient way, they have no factor on matchups for the showdown.
6.) If you think a character doesn’t qualify, you can ask us and we can show you the explanation we have for that character and why they count. That being said, some of the character’s qualifications are up to personal opinion.
7.) If there is a character you think is problematic on here you can shoot us an ask, but just know that it’s not a competition of who is the best representation.

The Buccaneers (2023): American Poison
Hello everyone! I polled my blog's mutuals, friends and followers to see if they'd be interested in me doing reviews for this show and here are the results. Hence I'm here doing full episode reviews - feel free to follow along the tags below if you'd like to see my reviews and other posts for the show! [Spoilers are under the cut]

~~~
The Buccaneers (2023) is an adaptation of Edith Wharton's posthumous novel of the same name, with a contemporary touch to it. Full disclaimer: I have not read the novel yet. I do intend to give it a shot after watching the tv series. Even though I am not a fan of unfinished works, it would be interesting to see how the source material was adapted to our day and age.
Since I am completely new to this story, I will be judging it solely on the tv series. I will also be judging it as a historical romance with a side of societal commentary (the latter of which I understand the original book was about). On this note, American Poison is a pretty great first episode.
It set up our main characters; Nan, Conchita, Mabel, Lizzie and Jinny well while showcasing both America and the London season of the 1870s era. I found it so refreshing that the story started with a wedding instead of ending in one. It really goes to show that sometimes life really begins after the ‘I Do’. Or rather in the case of our girls, the problems begin to arise.
Speaking of our character set ups, I really enjoyed watching Conchita the most as you can see in my Live Blogging tag. She is just such a dynamic and interesting character who is so full of life and yet goes through such a harrowing arc (from what I am assuming based on the first episode). Her fairytale ending isn't quite a happy ending. This makes for a really compelling conflict within her character and it is a delight to watch! Even moreso a mere five minutes into the first episode, we already have parallels to Meghan Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry. I instantly knew that it will not bode well for Connie. I will give the showrunners credit where it is due, they drew the comparisons without hitting us over the head with it. As someone who royal watches H&M, I did like how Connie and Dickie's relationship was portrayed in the first half of the episode.
That brings me to the second half, as I said here, Dick definitely lived up to his nickname. It was heartbreaking to watch Connie be completely void of life after leaving America and moving in with her in-laws. Especially in her vulnerable pregnant state. I related a lot to her isolation and melancholy. It is not a fun place to be in. The way she lit up when her friends came to visit her was truly so heartwarming. Her happiness means everything to be and I hope her situation improves over the course of the series.
Moving onto our 'main' protagonist/narrator: Nan St. George. I will say it. She is a really boring main protagonist. I have no idea how she is like in the book but you can write a 'plain Jane' type character who engages your audience and they are allowed compelling arcs too. But no, Nan gets a love triangle. The most tired romantic trope of our type. Shondaland and other similar romance-drama shows have overused them to the point I want to throw the whole narrative device away!!
Speaking of said triangles, the only time I have enjoyed watching Nan on my screen is when she is with Guy Thwaite who is so charming. He is so likeable that I would certainly let him marry me for my money (jokes on him, me irl is broke as hell ahaha).
I know a few of my friends had complains about him using Nan for her money but I AM EATING IT UP! This is such a common romance trope. The fortune hunter targets the heroine and like the dumbass he is, he falls for her. That creates such a delicious point of conflict for both of them. The heroine has a brief moment of heartbreak because of the betrayal, while the hero has to fight between his head/the original scheme and heart. Truly one of my favourite premises in a HR book!
On the other end of the triangle, we have Theo, who is the dullest man I have ever seen on screen. Sorry to Theo fans but that man is so unoriginal and BORING. [Correction to my previous statement; Theo is tied with Obie from the Gossip Girl reboot as the most boring character ever].
I just found it so grating that he was just another Duke who is tired of the London social season and ambitious mamas & debs alike. Like YOU AREN'T special, Theo, there are a million heroes and actual lords back then who were like this. At least give the audience something interesting about you for us to root for. Sure, we can look to his artist side but this is least artsy man I have ever seen. Lord Cassidy from Mr. Malcolm's List and Benedict Bridgerton from Bton have done this before and much better. So Theo really is the definition of the Duke of Go Give Us Nothing to quote @imaginejolls in these tags.
Enough about the boring people; onto the Elmsworth sisters! So other than Alisha Boe and Josh Dylan as Connie & Dickie respectively, I was VERY excited to see Josie Totah as Mabel. Not only because I've watched Josie since her Disney days but also because SHE'S PLAYING A LESBIAN/WLW!! I just need more queer women in HR and this fulfils it!
There, unfortunately, wasn't enough of the Elmsworth sisters in this episode but I did love what I saw of Lizzy and Mabel so far. I adore Lizzy already - she is gorgeous and definitely deserves more attention on the marriage mart. Mabel is so cute and I am excited to see her romance blossom with Honoria!
Then there's Jinny. Where do I begin? I'll be very honest; I mistook her for Honoria in the trailer with Mabel 🤡 and was excited for her. I was like Yay dumb lesbian rep because come on the "I like her arms" comment to the art piece is so queer coded hahah. Then I saw a gifset of the trailer kiss and realised it was Honoria with Mabel. Anyway Jinny really is your cookie cutter deb and I wanted to see how she'd subvert that. And while I understand her frustrations with Nan getting in the way, that was no reason to completely upend her sister's life. I also saw the looks of contempt she gave Lizzy over the course of the episode. Like Virginia you grew up with that girl, could you be a little less competitive??
Overall, the pilot fulfilled its job. It introduced us to the main girls, set up their upcoming arcs all while painting the different cultures of the Americans who worked their way up to their riches vs the British centuries old aristocracy. I loved how it was shot, edited and the soundtrack was incorporated. Sure, at times there is a modern lens to it but I like how well our times and influences come together with Edith's original vision and storyline. I am excited for the rest of the series! Happy watching everyone and I will see you in my next review :D
Been lurking around your persona stuff for a while, can you tell about your hunters campaign personas and how much player input you had into them. Also Greek myth plus lovecraftian horror is fucking epic.
IT WOULD BE MY GENUINE PLEASURE ANON G-DBLESS
(Most of the art you'll see in this post was done by Nyanko, who also plays Sammy.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"The Hunters" is a Persona tabletop campaign I've been running with my friends and partners for the last three years(!) over Discord, using a homebrew tabletop system to emulate both battles and social links. Since it's a text-based campaign, the result often approaches pretty careful collaborative storytelling.
The main hook of the campaign is a group of rabblerousing college students taking on part time work for a shady secretive organization called the Daedalus Collective, whose stated goal is protecting the world from the threat posed by Shadows. These students (and various NPCs) take on the mantle of "Hunters," traveling into a mirror world known as Fractals, where Shadows roam free, along with their eldritch monarch-deities, the monstrous Behemoths. The Hunters' mission: to locate and slay Behemoths within their twisted kingdoms.
As the Dungeon Master ("Keeper of Power" i suppose), I worked with everyone individually but their characters (including Personas) was ultimately their decision. But as for a cast list...
Tumblr media
Blake Leto (@lilyhoshikawa) They/them Justice Arcana Persona: Artemis
Arrested at a young age, pinned for the crime of murdering a police officer and subsequently abandoned by their only living family, Blake Leto took advantage of the public fascination with their case to adopt a public facing mask pulling directly from tabloid headlines: the "Murder Prince." Intelligent, well-read and charming, a victim of circumstance with a good sense of humor about being falsely imprisoned and absolutely no resentment towards the officers who beat and abused him. It is only through this mask that Blake claws their way into a good enough reputation to be granted parole, attending Belknap College while secretly searching themselves for the real killer who they took the fall for.
Tumblr media
(Edit by Jane)
In Fractals, Blake's spite pokes through the cracks of their mask. Clad in the armor of a paladin, channeling Artemis through their once-lost childhood journal, with the brand of a bow on their wrist. While they act as team leader and navigator, using their natural smarts and Artemis's support focus to guide the Hunters, bloodlust has started to mar their actions. A perfectly good bow is worth firing, isn't it?
Tumblr media
Ilse Belanger (@triskaidekaphilist) They/them Fortune Arcana Persona: Clotho
Ilse wasn't meant to be Ilse. But they are. The closeted-trans child of strict and religious parents, Ilse had all but let go of control over their life. They were a good kid, a Belanger, a product of faith and privilege. They were a good kid. They were. And then there was Stephen. Their first close friend, with whom they shared their innermost self, their name and their passions and their love of fantasy. For years, the two were inseparable. And then they were separated. Even as an adult, Ilse struggles with feeling in control of their life, their narrative. Their fate does not feel like their own. But it is. Twicefold, now that they finally found him again...
Tumblr media
In Fractals, Ilse is a supportive spellcaster with a scissor brand on their collar, pulling from Clotho's magic to cast powerful nuclear bolts. While a heavier hitter of the gang, Ilse leans towards sticking back and debilitating, following Blake's direction and helping where they can. When the occasion demands it, they will lean on Clotho's power as a weaver to rewrite fate and bend circumstance, a powerful and often-used trump card.
Tumblr media
Lena Tarr (@mcpuliotjr, above and below art drawn by him) She/her (for now) Chariot Arcana Persona: Goliath
A baby butch with a reputation for lashing out at authority figures, Lena wears her heart on her sleeve. After spending years of her life in painful and often demoralizing surgery recovery and physical therapy for an ankle injury that never properly healed, she habitually externalizes her daily pain as open hostility, amplified by years of overbearing family making her bottle up her feelings. Over the course of the campaign, she's been hard at work fostering feelings self-worth, channeling most of that frustration into beating up Behemoths and protecting her friends. Most recently, she's taken a huge step towards healing by starting an intimate loving relationship with longtime NPC and newfound Hunter Lucy "Twitch" Blum.
Tumblr media
In Fractals, Lena is a physical powerhouse and a tank, clad as an urban skirmisher with a brand of a broken stone on her ankle. She soaks up damage for her allies while dishing out strong physical hits in return, with the occasional burst of powerful flame from Goliath. Despite this power, her most powerful and helpful skill is her overflowing compassion and willingness to put her life on the line chasing kindness. She was the one to suggest the Hunters save a Behemoth they were assigned to kill, and it was she and Blake who were able to get through to Lucy when the girl's Persona (at that point a Shadow) went berserk.
Tumblr media
Sammy Cabra (Nyanko) They/them Hermit Arcana Persona: Neko Shogun (perhaps...)
Samael "Sammy" Cabra is an odd duck. They're fixated on their past, forging an outwards persona based on who they were as a middle schooler - friendly, open, creative - as a rejection of their dissociated and depressive high school self. Not to say that their childish joy is an act, far from it, it is genuine and honest. But they aren't a middle schooler anymore. Young adulthood has brought its host of bitterness, especially since their foundational memories of joy involve a friend who vanished abruptly from their life, splintering them somewhat as she left. Sammy is spry and sweet, and Samael is desperate and loyal to a fault. With no one is this splinter more seen than with Prim, a vicious protective specter in Fractals. Sammy has made it their mission to integrate this violent guardian into their life and the lives of the Hunters, at any cost...
Tumblr media
In Fractals, wearing a green cat onesie (made by their missing childhood friend Tango), with a cat-face brand on their left shoulder, Sammy is adept at both ice magic and ranged attacks, a mixed damage dealer. In theory. If they ever leaned on Samael. Sammy is hesitant to use their powers, hesitant to push Neko Shogun to his full potential, hesitant to follow in Blake and Prim's violent footsteps. They're extremely powerful but see themselves as a guardian, and their goatish stubborness leads them to fight with a shield, focusing on defense and debilitation despite their damaging skillset.
Tumblr media
Camellia Pavel (@shinyvibrava) They/them Star Arcana [Contested] Persona: Hecate [Contested]
The bearer of the curse.
The only Hunter not currently attending Belknap College, Camellia is a chronically unemployed college dropout living in a bare-bones apartment near campus, struggling with debilitating insomnia. One part depression. One part nightmare-avoidance. They have pulled away from the party somewhat over the course of the campaign, and their quiet distance was recently revealed to be due to ongoing offscreen conversations with an eldritch deity called the Dreamer, though it goes by many other names as well. They are now hospital-bound recovering from an overuse of their new powers.
Tumblr media
In Fractals, dressed a bit like a fantasy sage, Camellia is a capable supportive healer, balancing between firing off psychic attacks with Hecate and healing/buffing their allies. For a long while, they were the party's foremost ace in the hole, with a limited-use power known as Salvation to protect themselves and others from deadly attacks. More recently, they have been pushing themselves past their expected limits, forging new deals with the Dreamer. At times, though the brand of a key on their right shoulder is still Hecate's anchor, light bursts up from inside their throat, staining their words with great and terrible power. The nature of this strength is still not fully grasped, but it is indeed potent.
There's a LOT more to talk about when it comes to the work I've done on the world and the bonds forged between PCs and NPCs, I'd love to go off for another few thousand words, but I think I'll need to leave that to a masterpost part 2. Look forward to that later today.
To be continued........
Ever since I finished TMA I've been forgetting that things exist in the real world.
Exhibit A: my brother said something about worms eating apples and my immediate thought was "how does he know about Jane Prentiss??"
Exhibit B: someone was complaining about meat prices and said he should be a hunter, and I'm sitting there thinking "if I were an avatar I'd choose something better than the Hunt, what does this have to do with ground beef" before realizing I am, in fact, an idiot
Exhibit C: someone ordered a cake at work and wanted the name "John" written on it and instead of being normal about it I was like "man, they really are giving every name a unique spelling." I live on America. Most jo(h)ns here are with an h
Exhibit D: someone was talking about graphic design and said "web-friendly" as in "works well online" and not, as per my first assumption, "has a close relationship with an avatar of the Web"
There's more I think but that's what I remember, if anyone else has these moments I would love to hear them
