hi studyblr!

i’m ang & i’ve been lurking on this blog for quite some time so i thought i should probably introduce myself. i’m a fifteen-year-old rising high school junior currently drowning in summer assignments. this blog is something that i hope to use as a way to hold myself accountable & keep up with everything

i do have an about page but i’ll paraphrase a bit of it here anyways:

i’ll be taking three ap classes, advanced math, & honors french next year in addition to my other electives

i spend a crazy amount of time hanging out & volunteering at my local library because its the only place i ever seem to get anything done

some of my big interests are psychology, criminology, language, writing, & history

my favorite books are to kill a mockingbird & thirteen days, my favorite movie is logan lucky, & my favorite music is anything rob thomas has ever done

i don’t really have a “dream school” because i’m not quite sure what i want to do with my life. i just know i want to leave this state for the big city some day. if i had to pick, upenn or stanford would probably be my big dream

i hope i’ll make a few friends & become a better person in this community! if any of y’all have any other questions feel free to ask!

51 days till exams Here are my organic synthesis flashcards! I’m trying “spaced repetition” as a revision technique because I constantly feel like everything I revise just floats straight out of my head :( So I test myself on the things I’ve revised the day after, then a week after, and two weeks after!

i was tagged by @medicinis , @matchari , and @thesmallmedic ! thank you to all of you! i am going to complete the questions i was just given and then maybe will go onto the other ones if i have the energy to do so tonight lol

height: five feet one inches ! i am smol

last film i saw: i just rewatched american psycho with love last weekend. it is a decent film with an absolutely awful main character and story but i appreciate that the message is that he doesnt even fuckin matter at the end and that he is completely unimportant to everyone around him. and probably that the stuff that he “did” was actually nonexistent and just in his head.

favourite musician: rn i would have to say either the smiths or mitski! i love them both dearly

song stuck in my head: MANIC MONDAY BY THE BANGLES. i chose to listen to it today and ended up listening to it around thirty times so now it is lodged in my head for a while.

other blogs: i have two other ones but i would prefer to keep those private

do i get asks? yeah i get them either VERY FREQUENTLY or none at all for a couple weeks. i love getting them tho and very much enjoy interacting with people so i would always be here to chat!

blogs following? i am following 1,604 and 4,107 follow me :) i am thankful for all of my followers :)

what am i wearing? i am wearing a destiny t shirt with blue skinny jeans; i got grease on my white buttonup today, so not thrilled about that :/

dream job? WORKING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OR WORKING IN POLITICS FOR EDUCATION IN THE US. i want that so badly and am very excited to be pursuing it. it still feels so far off to me as a possibility but every day i am striving towards it.

play any instruments? nope! just recorder! and the xylophone!

languages: i know english as my primary language, and rudimentary german, french, and spanish, but i would like to be more well-versed in many languages.

favourite food: hmmmmm :/ i would say probably peanut butter. i love it so so so so much!

favourite songs: getting away with it by electronic, washing machine heart by mitski, and there is a light that never goes out by the smiths!

random fact: i have a bio quiz tomorrow and i am not looking forward to it :/

Introduction

Hello there! I am koa, an 18-year-old senior in high school. I am a Hufflepuff and INFP-T and I am always listening to music. Next year I am planning on heading into college and studying Criminal Justice, and more specifically Forensic Science (to become a CSI). I am new to the studyblr community and hope to make a bunch of friends here. I really enjoy many of the classes I am taking, including AP German, and AP Euro. And I am slowly teaching myself Korean, (this is self-indulgent of course). I am not planning on being on here 24/7 but I will be on as often as possible. 1. What is your view of feminism? I am a feminist because I strongly believe men and women should be treated as equals, and discriminating women just because they are female is purely warped. feminism all the way.

2. Do you like indie music or rock music more? definitely indie music!

3. Do you have essentials that you DO NOT leave the house without? yup! my phone and my earphones are precious!

4. Do you get anxious in social situations? it depends; if the event is filled with people I am not familiar with I do tend to get a little anxious and shy. if I do know most of the people, I'm comfortable and can talk freely!

5. What is the best lesson you learned in the past year? That we just have to pull through even though we think we can't make it. there are many things in life we start even though we know the predestined end. Don't give up and fight on, because there are always people that will be supporting us.

6. Mechanical or regular pencils? Mechanical all the way. Regular for drawing graphs.

7. Do you wait until after class to buy your books or do you buy them early? I buy them early, unless I don't have enough money to buy them before the class starts.

8. Would you rather be cold or hot? cold. at least I don't sweat.

9. Minimalist or extra? I try to be minimalist but sometimes it can be too minimal for me.

10. What is your opinion on this song? (((Keaton Henson- Small Hands))) thank you so much for the song rec! I just downloaded it because the lyrics just touched my soul and cleansed it pure again.

11. What’s your Starbucks order? Dark mocha frappe without whipped cream.
