wada sez: Cook had this to say on the strip: “I know it deviates a small bit from the Headmasters cartoon, but I always thought it was cheesy (among other things)how Soundblaster debuted in the cartoon... this gives more of a plausible transition, as well as an opportunity for Galvatron to let Soundwave know just whose bitch he really is.” Soundwave blew up in the second episode of Headmasters, “The Mystery of Planet Master”, leading to him being rebuilt as Soundblaster in “The Great Cassette Operation”, with the Autobots similarly rebuilding Blaster as Twincast.

Dear Vector Prime, how common is it for cybertronians to convert to earth-originated religions? Does cybertron have its own diocese?
Dear Doctrinal Dilettante,
It happens occasionally, particularly among Headmasters and Targetmasters whose human or organic components develop religious beliefs on Earth. Nebulans in particular may join a religion solely to fit in rather than possessing a spiritual belief.
In one case, Mindwipe, after watching a series of horror films, became very interested in satanism—but then watched several seasons of Christian television programming, became afraid that he'd chosen the wrong side, and declared himself a Presbyterian. Upon his arrival at a Presbyterian church next Sunday morning, the entire congregation fled in terror. After a bit of spark-searching, he was satisfied to describe himself as "spiritual not religious".

This is Big Bang, a large Autobot who was intended to succeed Transformers Zone protagonist Dai Atlas as Autobot Supreme Commander in the 1991 storyline for the Transformers brand in Japan, but was replaced by Star Convoy (aka the resurrected Optimus Prime) in the released storyline Return of Convoy. Had he remained the lead character, he would have fought alongside Autobot Battlestars Iron Baron (Grandus in the final release) and Sky Garry to defeat the threat of Dark Nova.
Due to his status as a scrapped yet fully designed character, Big Bang has only made a few cameo appearances elsewhere in the series after being showcased in a Japan-exclusive series guidebook. He appeared in a few stories written by the Transformers Collectors Club as the Communications Officer of the Autobot Elite Guard under Sentinel Major, and IDW's Allspark Almanac II would identify a version of the character from the world of Transformers Animated who held the rank of Prime and was mentally-bonded to the giant Autobot Beta Supreme, who took the form of his starship, the Battlestar. His latest appearance in media would be in the rebooted IDW comics, in a flashback fighting alongside fellow obscure Autobot champion Halonix Maximus against Gaidora and his pack of turbofoxes.

on dragona
i managed to track down some pictures of the jojolands raws, and specifically one of the pages where jodio talks about dragona. i think ultimately we’ll have to wait for more to get a real read on his gender identity and presentation, but i wanted to see what the original japanese was and what it said for myself
here is where jodio is talking about how his mom can live a peaceful life because of what he and dragona do. in the first bubble he starts with “オレたち兄弟” (oretachi kyoudai). the key word here is 兄弟, which just means sibling(s). so he says “we siblings” (or, given context, could also be “we brothers”). regardless, this phrase is gender neutral
in the second one, he says “オレと兄” (ore to ani). this is why i’m choosing to use he/him for dragona as of now, because 兄 means big brother, and as far as i know, nothing else. i’d translate this as “me and my brother” (or if we’re trying to be grammatically correct, “my brother and i”)
in this bubble, jodio again says “兄”, which, if you look up in a dictionary, only translates to older/elder/big brother.
i think you could’ve argued otherwise if jodio had called dragona 兄貴 (aniki) because that once can be a little more ambiguous in terms of familial relationship and gender, but just 兄 alone reads to me like dragona is jodio’s older brother. i also don’t really think that jodio is purposely misgendering dragona.
given what we know so far about the characters, i think there’s enough evidence to say that dragona identifies as a boy, but enjoys presenting feminine. so i’m going to be using he/him for dragona unless something contradicts that in later chapters

Transformers: Mosaic #614 - "Guiltor vs. Motormaster - Round 1: Irresistible Force"
Originally posted on August 8th, 2011
Story - Curt Lunsford
Art - Ibai Canales
Letters - Franco Villa
deviantART | Seibertron | TFW2005
wada sez: This is a two-part sequel to the previous Gilthor strip by this creative team, “Independent Actions”. Per Lunsford on deviantART: “As for why they're fighting, well Guiltor could be considered the first Nemisis Prime/Scourge type characters, except he isn't colored black. Similarly, Motormaster in his first few appearances was portrayed as Prime's rival, and he is a black truck. Anyway, Guiltor is commonly mistaken for Prime, as is the case here, so Motormaster attacks him cause well, he thinks it's Prime, who he also thinks is dead. This story is meant to take place after the events of the Manga Transformers 2010 #4, and the '86 Animated Movie. Honestly, I didn't intend to write a deep Mosaic. It's just meant to be a fun fight scene between two G1 characters that may have influenced the whole Nemesis Prime concept.” For the record, Motormaster and Gilthor almost definitely did not inspire Nemesis Prime in any way. On Seibertron, Lunsford specifically noted how Gilthor has lost his Decepticon faction symbol, whatever that's supposed to mean. This storyline’s titles are lifted from a classic paradox.

Dear Vector Prime, Is Grandus in any way related to the Metro Clan (Metroplex, Metrotitan, Metrobase) of Transformers? He's a pretty big fellow to just show up out of nowhere.
Dear Biggest Battlestar,
Grandus’ mighty size and strength is in fact not the product of his construction, but of his own hard work. Once a Cyberdroid of planet Master, Grandus found the idea of piloting a lifeless Transtector body unsettling, akin to developing a single giant phantom limb.
Still wishing to be of use to his fellows, Grandus continued his training well past that of the other Cyberdroids, supplementing it with a special diet of locally sourced oils and energon. Instead of just learning how to transform, Grandus developed an incredibly potent superstructure, allowing him to upgrade his body well beyond the means of most normal bots. By the time he was assigned to the Battlestars, his hard work had allowed him to rub shoulders with natural-built Titans!

Aim @ Chiaki Jakuchō
One of the Ikkansai clan member, Chiaki can describe as 'modern & advance' due she was one of Shirai Ryu's member using modernized Tanegashima/matchlock gun as weapon instead of blades & graduated from Osaka University
Besides Chiaki is Shirai Ryu's markswoman, she mostly plays a role as medical doctor for Shirai Ryu
Chiaki is only Shirai Ryu's first Muslim lady who wears hijab; although most Japanese people around her though she kinda 'insane' as Chiaki's hijab was misunderstood as Okoso-Zukin;old Japanese winter custom hood that covers head during winter
Besides Harumi Shirai who understands Chiaki being discriminated, Yang Pokta also Chiaki's teacher in combat and Islamic studies. she hates Bauer Blade due he being a Islam¶h0§¡¢ at first
