Don’t contribute to the problem. This isn’t anything new; this is more than just a 10-year-old problem. Mental illnesses are often overlooked, and there’s a reason behind it; stigma. Discrimination is discrimination, no matter what costume it puts on, and ableism is no exception. Stigma against those with conditions such as DID, NPD, PTSD, and autism has driven people away from seeking help and support in fear of being attacked.

Recovery can not take place when society requires us to stay in denial for acceptance and safety. It’s time to open a serious discussion; invite your parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and friends; this is a real issue that can not be solved by ourselves. Everyone needs to work towards a solution.

We don’t normally post comics or anything this serious of nature, but no improvement came out of last year. This is our reminder to our readers that there’s still work that needs to be done.

After all, it only takes 5 minutes to understand this.
