So let's talk Jason.
Fate Jason for clarification.
Jason has so much going for him. Good health, talent, vision, education, the strongest and best allies, and the favor of THE QUEEN OF THE FUCKING GODS.
But he fucked it all up. Yes Aprodite started it by essentially mindraping Medea. But Jason has every ability to see what's wrong and help her. He has the greatest team of heros to exist on his side and the favor of Hera. He had the intelligence and education to know what was wrong with Medea, he could have helped her.
He didn't, because Medea was a useful tool and not a girl who needed help to him.
This is the core of his fault. People are important but not as important as he is. Jason has the number one priority of Jason. In the right circumstances this can be overcome and his value can shine, like in LB 5 but....
If he just set his ego aside and helped Medea who he owed a great debt.
If he just told the Argonauts about Medea and asked for help.
If he has even for a second looked at the people around him.
He could have had it all. The Argonauts left him due to Medea's actions. If he had helped her he could have had the might of the Argonauts on his side to take his kingdom back. Not just that but Circe would have helped at that point most likely.
But he didn't. His Argonauts where a means to an end first and foremost. His interlude shows this. When they tell him they don't respect him he goes off and tries to make a new crew to succeed his goal. He never tries to Talk about it.
Jason cannot see his own flaws, and Jason doesn't see other people as having any inherent value as people. That's why Jason sucks.
Also fuck Aprodite.

Day #10
Wrong
This entire thing turned into a horrible mix between the American, Traum, Camelot and Babylonia Singularities and a GudaGuda event.
The only good thing to happen is we now have Assassin Oichi as a Servant
(Sidenote: Avenger Nobu, Jason, Duryodhana, and Kriemhild are never allowed to plan my birthday parties ever again. Why in Crown's Name did you think starting a gang war was a productive way to get a present?!)

okay but imagine. Thalia Grace, after Jason's death, in a fit of desperation, comes racing to Nico di Angelo, wanting him to summon his ghost, because she just wants to talk to her brother one last time. Before it's too late. Before he reaches Elysium, since the closest she could get to talking to her brother after he goes to the hero's paradise is through dreams, and that wasn't enough for her. Seeing his fragmented soul through dreams is not nearly good enough. She wants the message to reach him. The real him. Not a loomy remnant. She wants to apologise, as she feels her soul being hollowed out with guilt.
She should've looked for Jason, even after their mother told her that he's dead.
She shouldn't have been so busy with the hunters that she would have to cut their brother-sister conversation short.
She should've realised how much her brother craved her attention.
She should've come to the chb meeting that she'd promised jason she'd come to, she shouldn't have made her brother wait like a lost puppy.
The look in jason's eyes when she told him she'd have to leave was etched on to her face. Permanently scarring her soul.
She should've been a better sister. She failed him. She failed to make him feel wanted. She hoped Jason didn't face his death thinking that she didn't need him. Because Gods of Olympus, that would break her.
And she poured all of these gut wrenching thoughts to Nico, who suprisingly listened. Yes. Nico did resent Thalia for being in the hunters of Artemis, the same group that got his sister killed. But listening to Thalia pour her heart out to him, really hit a little too close to home. The daughter of Zeus seemed to echo a young nico, trying aimlessly to summon his sister's ghost to talk to her. They both had the same hollow red eyes, burning with hot tears streaming down, the same crease in the eyebrows, the same flicker of rage over their siblings's murder. At that moment, Thalia Grace looked as unthreatening as the king of all god's daughter could possibly look like.
But Nico was glad, that Thalia, atleast cared about her little brother to this extent. Up until this point, Nico had these lingering doubts if Bianca had really cared about him like this, she had dropped everything to join the hunters after all. Hearing Thalia talk about jason had healed his inner child. Maybe big sisters do think about their younger brothers, no matter how busy they appear to be... So he complied to her wishes. She deserved closure from her brother's death. It would do Jason some good too.
He poured all of his concentration into summoning the son of Jupiter, as Thalia anxiously chewed on her nails, pacing around the murky woods in anticipation. Until a wispy figure with rimmed glasses and neatly cropped hair, appeared in front of them.
"Hello, sis."
Nico di Angelo and Thalia Grace were more or less the same, when it came to wanting to make amends with their deceased sibling.
Except Thalia was the older sister who wanted her younger brother back, And Nico was the younger brother who wanted his older sister back.

In Death's Embrace
Jason x Death!Reader
Tumblr media
His head is in your lap, the sun peeking through the black locks of his hair. He grumbles at the light interrupting his nap, and turns and presses his face into your thigh. You chuckle, carting a hand through his hair just like he loves you to.
He’s at peace. The world is at peace. He’s safe here, in your unending embrace, and he knows he’ll never have to leave it. He knows that’s the way it should be.
“You’re so clingy today,” you tease him, and he chooses to ignore your words. The quiet is peaceful, and he longs for more of it, even as he wants your words too. Of course, as always, you understand. Instead, you whisper sweet nothings to him, gazing out at the wheat fields surrounding the two of you.
There’s a book in your hand, the one that doesn’t pet him. It’s in a language he doesn’t know, doesn’t recognise. It’s probably as old as you are.
He didn’t know much about you. He didn’t need to. He understood who you were, what you were. He wasn’t stupid. He understood that you comforted billions of others, held them like you held him. Maybe once he would’ve been jealous, but he knew that feeling was pointless too.
Here, you wouldn’t let him feel anything but peace. Here, he needn’t want for anything but you, and you’d always give yourself over to him freely.
Your hand pauses in his hair. It tightens. Jason likes the feeling, likes anything you do to him, but he senses your tension, and opens his eyes. You’re not looking at him, instead staring up at the blue sky. Mouth pursed, you tilt your head.
You look back down at him, smiling softly. It’s the same as every other smile you give him, but he doesn’t like it. Doesn’t trust it. Something’s wrong, and he’s filled immediately with a sense of panic he hasn’t known in years.
“Fascinating,” you say, and Jason pulls himself up from your lap, grabbing your hands in his. You let him move you, let him pull you to your feet, don’t resist as he follows his instincts, running into the strands of wheat like hell is on his heels.
It might be.
“Jason,” you call his name, your voice calm despite his hurried breathing, “Jason, dear.”
He pauses just long enough to look back at you, to look at the blue sky cracking open in jagged edges, to see the reeds pulling backward into a gaping void. He can feel the sucking gravity, and he plants his feet against the wind. You’re unaffected by the tear in the sky, your hair calm, your clothes still.
“Jason, it’s a good thing. Not many get a second chance,” you cajole him, pulling on hand from his grasp to cup his chin. He leans into your touch, savouring it, needing it.
“It’s not. I won’t leave you, I can’t,” he whispers, his words almost lost in the roar of the wind.
“You have no choice,” and your eyes are almost… sad. He doesn’t think that’s right. He doesn’t think someone like you should feel sad. You’ve seen so much, know so much.
What does it say for his future? What does it mean, when Death looks at you with pity?
“Save me, please,” he begs you, and you shake your head.
“I have no choice, either. You must make the most of it, Jason. You must do your best. And I’ll be here when you come home, waiting for you,” you promise him, and he has to choke down a sob. This isn’t right. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.
He was supposed to have you forever.
“How can I when you’re not there with me?”
You peer into his eyes, and the void rips wider behind you.
“You won’t remember me, darling.”
The last thought, before it takes him, before it swallows him whole, is that that’s the worst part.
Part two!

hmm. Nico’s turning 16, yeah?
Now, I wonder if the great prophecy is fulfilled.
I mean. Just the fact that Percy’s had his story doesn’t negate another, does it? Nobody said it was a one-time thing. Where’s the fun in that? And even if it’s not, who said the first one got the chance? What if it could be any 16yrso Big Three demigod in existence, from now unto eternity?
So, anwayyyyy——How about we raze Olympus to the ground in revenge of one Jason Grace?
You’re coming to Tartarus anw, better make something out of it.

Culpability
When Danny became the Ghost King he left many things behind: a normal life, his friends, his parents, his sister. All he had left were his space models, glowing stars and some things that he could read.
The halfa knew the situation was not that bad. The ghosts were very friendly and his loved ones could visit whenever they wanted. Time in the Realms was strange, and it would seem like an eternity but they would come eventually.
Seeing their King so down, the ghosts presented him different interests to distract him (Teens needed entertainment, right?) and thanks to Clockwork (who was accused of cheating) Danny found out how much he loved comics and how much he had missed them.
Seeing that this made their King happy, the other ghosts provided thousands of versions of those comics. Danny's mentor warned him to take comics seriously, but he dismissed the comment.
The Realms were infinite and since ghosts could go through the (now stable) natural portals or ask Wulf for help, collecting comics from different dimensions wasn't difficult. They found at least 5199 versions of the Justice League comics the first time. Their King would be happy.
Danny even participated in some of the polls with the help of Clockwork! One of them was called "Kill Jason Todd?" The king thought it was ironic to ask a dead man that and marked yes. He was delighted when volumes of "Red Hood" appeared a few weeks later, Jason was amazing!
Of course, every action has its consequence. When he was summoned to help with a problem in another dimension, the king quickly noticed that the Justice League was real, the same one from his comics. And his favorite character, Red Hood, was looking at him with a frown.
Taking the situation in, Danny felt the weight of guilt on his head as the boy's toxic green eyes looked up at him. He...had he killed him? Did he supported his death? He remembered the 50/50 poll results initially, and how his vote decided the boy's fate.
Even trapped in his castle and just reading comics all day, Danny kept messing things up.
