At the end of last year, I watched Lost for the first time. I literally binged it like an addict, all 6 seasons in 24 days. And since then, all I've done is read fanfiction.

It had been a while since I last got this into a show, a while since I'd been excited to explore and read new fics (and not just stick to my favorite writers from the other two fandoms I've been part of).

But the thing about me is... I'm a binger. And I'm pretty sure I ran out of completed fics at this point. And I *need* more.

So I figured I'd ask the people who have been around longer than me: what are y'alls favorite fics? What are the fics that made you go "oh wow, I can't believe how good this AU is!" or "holy jingle bells, this even better than the show" or just anything that made you feel really good or really bad in a good way (for all the whumpers out there)?

Preferred pairings would be Jack x Kate or Kate x Sawyer

would you ever write more jate fics?

I'd like to! Jack and Kate have such weird, intense feelings about each other, and I have a lot of weird and intense feelings about them in turn.

I think I'd need to rewatch Lost to refresh myself on the characters and their voices before I can write anything more for it, though. It'll probably happen at some point! To be honest, I've been finding myself tempted to rewatch it lately.

For now, here's a tiny Jack/Kate snippet I wrote last month:

"Maybe we don't have to fight for this relationship," Kate whispers. "It hasn't exactly been good for anyone; maybe the best thing would just be to let it die."

And she's right, maybe, but she's kissing him between words as she says it, and Jack isn't strong enough not to kiss her back.

YES! Finally watched and first of all, I really enjoyed the ep. I love seeing this version of Jane tbqh. Her scenes with Kate were A+, I imagine the tenstler/jate crowd must be going wild. And ya, Kate and Lucy were totally matching...even on different continents they're psychically linked lmao

A hot ship! A friends with benefits type of situation, but they still care deeply about each other. They’re also work out buddies and have little competitions about who’s stronger and faster.

Jarcia

I don’t really ship it. I see them more as sisters/BFFs, but I’m not super mad about it.

Jemily

My all time favorite, my OTP!! Such a healthy relationship platonically and otherwise, and they have a huge amount of trust in each other.

Jelle

I don’t have a strong opinion on this, but I like it. I’m into the idea of them having a thing before Elle left or JJ having a crush on her.

Jara

I love this ship, but love it more in fic than in actual canon only bc Tara doesn’t have a lot of screen time (unfortunately). Absolutely love the fan works for them and they’re such a good and hot ship.

Jeid

I hate this ship. They wouldn’t work together as a couple (not on the same level emotionally or mentally), and JJ has never seemed interested in him like that, so it’s pretty much one-sided from Reid’s pov despite canon efforts.

Jalex

I don’t have a very strong opinion on them either, but I like it. JJ also having a thing for her older female colleagues (Alex, Emily, Elle, and Tara) is a hc I have lol. They would be great moms together, too!

Jate

Don’t get me wrong, I love JLH, but I don’t remember much of s10 tbh so I don’t have much of an opinion on them. I love JJ and Kate bonding with each other about kids and being moms, though, it’s really cute.

Jalvez

Not a ship I’ve put too much thought in, but I kinda like it. Similar to JJ/Morgan, Luke/JJ are one of the jock ships haha. I love their little team-ups in cm and Evolution, and I feel like they would have a lot of inside jokes with each other, mostly inappropriate ones.
