I feel like people aren't really talking enough about how rushed through Volume 9 was. There were SO MANY things that really should've had more attention this volume that were just brushed away.

Let's focus on Jaune for now though.

He spent like 20 YEARS alone in the Ever After, and the only thing that's talked about is his time with Alyx and Lewis? That couldn't have been more than a week.

Where did he get his armor/How did it get improved? Why did he let it rust? How much have his fighting skills improved, if at all? How did he keep Crescent Rose so clean? How often have he and the Jabberwalker fought? How did he meet Juniper? How did that companionship develop? What are some of the other Acres he explored and mapped? What's in the ones that were mentioned? Etc.

Not to mention all the questions about his mental state. That's another laundry list.

CRWBY will also likely ignore the vast, vast majority of Jaune's experiences, and the consequences of them in Volume 10 and on. Which bothers me quite a bit. I hope they don't, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they do.

Volume 9 was very enjoyable, definitely my favorite post-Volume 3. But it was just not enough, especially with that MASSIVE gap between Vol 8 and 9.

I don't entirely blame CRWBY though. I'm pretty sure they were making the Justice League crossover at the same time.

Oobleck: Welcome back to our coverage of another game between Teams RWBY and JNPR.

Port: If you're just joining us, it's been a roller coaster of emotions with both teams tied at two sets a piece, and the victor will be the Champions of Beacon Academy.

Oobleck: JNPR only needing to get the edge by two points with their team captain, Jaune Arc-

Port: Love that man!

Oobleck: Don't we all? -trying desperately to hold their position at the top, otherwise it's all over. Pyrrha Nikos ready to serve what may be the last game of her professional career.

Port: And here! We! Go!

Oobleck: Excellent serve!

Port: RWBY setting up the spike and-

Jaune: (Pounded in the forehead)

Oobleck/Port: OOOOOOOOOOOOH!

Port: Deflected!

Oobleck: Right into Jaune Arc's face!

Port: And JNPR ties it with Team RWBY! Unbelievable!

Oobleck: Fasten your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen; Jaune Arc's face has entered the game!

Port: Just look at this instant replay! The angle at which Arc deflects the ball is nothing short of perfection!

Oobleck: Like watching a master painter masterfully painting his masterpiece... with his face!

Port: JNPR now on the prowl to take the lead with Nikos serving again! Team RWBY setting up a devastating return to the lead, and here it comes-

Jaune: (Nostrils pounded in, Slumps)

Oobleck/Port: OOOOOOOOOOOOH!

Port: Arc makes a tremendous save!

Oobleck: But it's not over yet as Team RWBY set up again for another spike, not wasting any opportunity to-

Jaune: (On his knees, Face pounded)

Oobleck: MOTHER OF PEARL!

Port: ARC SCORES!

Oobleck: Welcome to the heavyweight bout between Arc's face versus everything else!

Port: He looks like he could be pray on his knees!

Oobleck: The peaceful visage of TBI!

Port: We are ALL witnesses!

Oobleck: TESTIFY~!

Port: LET US ALL FEAST ON THE SWEET NECTAR! Of instant replay!

Oobleck: Just a perfect defense; the pinnacle of the word sacrifice.

Port: The ball flies right past the blocker, into Arc's awaiting face, back over the net, and then back into Arc's face like an obese homing Nevermore!

Jaune: (Stumbling about, Blind)

Nora: (Turns him to the net)

Oobleck: That man will leave here today, knowing he gave up everything he could! ...if he leaves at all .The crowd is on their feet, cheering for their hero, Jaune Arc!

Port: Much like the days of my youth when I held the entire Kingdom of Atlas on my back, so too does Jaune Arc carry the weight of his opponents upon his face!

Oobleck: JNPR has come back from the brink to put this one into the history books!

Port: It's one point for JNPR, can RWBY push past the Arc's defense to-

Jaune: (Knocked prone by Yang)

Port: Arc blocks it!

Oobleck: DID YOU SEE THAT?!

Port: Team RWBY deliver another spike to The Man!

Jaune: (Hit again by Blake)

Oobleck: The myth!

Jaune: (And again by Weiss)

Oobleck/Port: THE LEGEND!

Jaune: (...)

Nora: (Grabs Jaune's legs)

Pyrrha: (Grabs Jaune's arm)

Ren: (Grabs Jaune's other arm)

Port: His teammates haul him to his feet!

Oobleck/Port: NO!

Port: They raise him to his everywhere!

Jaune: (Jaune, I know that you're still... recovering, but please. The team needs you. I need you. So please, just this once... Just one more time, the world needs Jaune Arc on the court. Besides, this is a totally different game than what we were playing before. I doubt you'll have to worry about being hit in the face, especially since you've got a whole team around you to provide backup. Now come on, there world's waiting for you...)

Oobleck: HE'SDONEIT! ICAN'TBELIEVEIT! JAUNEARC! He's been taken through the air like a defensive angel!

Ozpin: (Fuming, Tosses over chair)

Port: An angel with the face of a devil!

Oobleck: Let's get an instant replay!

Oobleck: One is the loneliest number!

Port: Two tickets to paradise!

Oobleck: Three times a lady!

Oobleck/Port: FOOOOOOOOOR-

Ruby: (Slow-mo punching the ball into Jaune's face)

Oobleck/Port: -EEEEEVEEEEEEEER YOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNG!

Port: The crowd charges the court, and the people are weeping!

Oobleck: The tears of joy~!

Port: The Schnees are Schneeting!

Oobleck: Pound sign Jaune Arc~!

Port: The hospitals are preparing to receive the man himself!

Oobleck: The fifth relic himself!

Port: The great! Wall! of Jaune Arc!

Oobleck: I tell you, when the Brothers comes back, I want to be in a bunker made of Jaune Arc's face!

So doing a OnlyJaunes story on Wattpad, here is the first chapter

Jaune Arc had just turned 18. He was a stalwart lad who had undergone a lot in his life. One of the biggest hurdles was surviving Beacon Academy. You see, he had come here for righteous reasoning. But unfortunately, his means of entering were less than legal. In fact, it was illegal all around. He had spent his money on fake transcripts to get him there.

So the main problem stood as follows: he needed money and fast. Fortunately, he was able to find a way to earn hun so extra lien so he could not have his grades suffer. The job, however well, let's just say he's glad Pyrrha has been helping him work out.

Jaune: "Alright, I'll adjust the lighting a little bit here and here." Jaune is seen adjusting a studio light towards his bed, his scroll on a tripod and him wearing only tight boxer shorts. "Let's see. Maybe I can pose like this." In his hand, he has a button to help him take pictures, in which many of remnant has purchased. You see, Jaune sells pictures and videos of himself on OnlyHunts, a website where beautiful people use their bodies to make money. And since he started, he made back everything and more. "Alrighty, let's try here." He leans a bit, spreading his legs and adjusting his sack to look more plump in the underwear. A quick snap sound popped up, and he went to the camera to check it. He himself liked the angle, though he was cut he had a nicer body thanks to him working put more often, plus his Huntsman training has definitely helped a lot. He did a few more poses, more showing off the Arc Cakes. After about 45 min, he started putting everything away after putting pants on. He uploaded the photos he felt good about first and let time do its thing.

About an hour or so later, Jaune was sitting in Prof Port's class. As he took notes from his stories, his scroll went off on a vibrating frenzy. Luckily, it was in his pocket, and he was able to silence it. A quick smile grew as he had a feeling what it was. While Port turned to the board to write, Jaune pulled out his scroll to take a look, and as he expected, his likes went up on the post he did. Another thing he enjoyed was the compliments he received on his body. Something about helped him cope with his self-esteem issues he obtained due to his family.

AtlasMommy73: Another wonderful set Golden, God I'd love to see you.

IceTips: Please stop teasing and let us see your 2 hander ;).

SpartanStrength: Please just take me.

SpecialSnow: Please come to Atlas so we can melt these caps. ;*

So on and so forth, the thrist was real. As more and more requests for Jaune came to light. Though he wasn't too worried about people finding out because, let's be honest, his friends were as dense as he was in the past. He noticed Pyrrha staring into her scroll hard but paid no mind to it. He then continued his day like normal.

Throughout the day, Jaune felt eyes on hum, he's not sure why, but he felt he was being watched. He turned around to an empty hallway. Shrugging his shoulders, he continued on his way. After a few more minutes, he felt the eyes on him again. Suddenly, he turned around and looked once more only to seek the same empty hallway.

Jaune: "Man, I think I need more sleep." He turned and walked towards the dorms. As he did, a certain redhead was following him, not the one you're thinking if.

???: "Soooo fearless leader, you're the famous Golden Knight?" Jaune froze as he turned around and saw none other than Nora. "Don't worry, fearless leader, I only want one thing." Jaune, starting panicking, what could she want, money? Fame? Dic- "I wanna be your manager!"

Jaune: "Wait, what?" Jaune felt releived, but at the same time, he had an overwhelming amount of dread.

Nora: "You see, Jaune-Jaune, I know that you've been taking pictures. And though you've hidden your face, I can tell. Surprisingly, no one has put two and two together, but I can help edit your photos to prevent that. And even offer to maybe do BG shoots. For let's say 30 percent to see how you like it. Sound good?"

Jaune was at an impass. What did he have to really lose. He knew he could trust Nora, and he was making a good amount of money.

Jaune: "You know what, Nora, you got a deal!" He sticks his hand out for a handshake, but Nora grabs it and hugs him tight.

Nora: "Oh, I can't wait to show you what we can do!"

J'aime beaucoup comment le point de vue de Winter et Qrow se contrastent, Winter se sent coupable suite aux évènements d'Atlas et voit la tension entre sa famille et les réfugiés. Tandis que Qrow a un point de vue plus optimiste et voit que le message de Ruby a laissé un impact sur ceux qu'ils l'ont vu, leur donnant un espoir, montrant l'entraide des réfugiés. Par contre je suis surprise que Raven décide enfin d'intervenir et aider Ruby et les autres. Du coup ça veut dire que Ruby va pouvoir confronter Raven sur la mission secrète de Summer.

I really like how Winter and Qrow's points of view contrast, Winter feeling guilty after the events at Atlas and seeing the tension between her family and the refugees. While Qrow has a more optimistic point of view and sees that Ruby's message has left an impact on those they saw it, giving them hope, showing the refugees' mutual support. On the other hand, I'm surprised that Raven finally decides to intervene and help Ruby and the others. This means Ruby can confront Raven about Summer's secret mission.
