Maybe it isnt just a stick. Or it is but its literally an item of a GOD, so yeah im 100% for the channeling idea. And maybe Jayfeather has to plant it at the heart of the territories, adding a little more time to the whole situation besides just planting the thing and going. Maybe theres some cool glowing involved. That'd be a cool scene, the nebulous sky above the lake, with the center glowing as the tree grows.

As for the tree, giant redwood would be super cool since its just fucking huge from what i can tell. Maybe the tree the leaders stand on didnt exist until after the battle, and the new tree turns into the leader's perch from then on?

It's definitely something special, I'm thinking Jayfeather even steals it FROM Rock this time around for convincing him to let go of Flametail leading to his death. Rock was also very protective of that stick, makes sense It's a powerful charm.

No redwoods!! England!!! It's gotta be something native, or was found in the fossil record. Putting it on the meeting island though... that's a really good idea since no humans ever land there. There could be some extinct tree there and they'd never know.

I am very tempted to make it a Pitys Withamii... much to think about.
