hold up, HOLD UP, you can CHANGE the crontrols for Viola? I knew you could change the controls of course, I just wasn't aware that it would ACTUALLY redo the block button for her. Stupid now that I think of it. Also, Jeanne chapters IMO are so obnoxious because they just don't vibe with the game style, and the layout is kinda messy and hard to figure out, I constantly get stuck bc I don't get what the goal is. (Ironically, chap2 Jeanne is my only pure platinum chapter. 9 tries not to die tho 😩)

*screaming* Thanks for telling me I can change the controls for Viola, I finally can actually get Witch time with her!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, now I feel bad because when I said 'switch buttons', I made it sound like you can do a complete remapping when, in reality, it's just choosing between four different mapping options.
But, still, it is something to look into if Viola's control scheme is edging too close to 'unbearable'.
Also, if I had to offer any other advice, uh... Actually read what everything does on Viola's skill tree.
Because my dumbass didn't upgrade anything until I got to Viola's second stage so I had a bunch of points to use so I just chose everything that I could afford and, Good Lord, were mistakes made.

The Place of Words - Early Designs and Experimentation
These are some of my original designs for some of my spreads in my book. At this stage I had gathered some of the imagery I wanted to incorporate and placed the text on the pages I wanted them on, starting to get an idea of the hierarchy of the headings, body text and quotes. I started to experiment with typefaces and layout, pinpointing where I thought images would be appropriately places using block colours and using lines to separate area of the pages.
I had not however created the infographics for the middle spread, leaving it looking messy without a clear sense of structure, with the statistics floating on the page. At this point I was not happy with the quotation font and still needed to gather more imagery to guide the text boxes and appropriate column widths. At this stage I had a tutorial with Jeanne who gave me lots of advice with how to move forward with my development and layout.
