Twins John and Edward Grimes are an Irish singing and television presenting duo. They rose to fame in the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009, where they competed against Olly Murs (poll #106). They've represented Ireland twice at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Jedward's first two albums went double platinum in Ireland. Young Love is their third album, and in 2012 it was given Gold certification in Ireland. "Luminous" is the third single from it. The music video reached #2 on the Irish iTunes video sales chart and #3 on the UK iTunes video sales chart.

"Luminous" received a total of 36,5% yes votes.

I wanted to make something special to celebrate 2/5 but I didn't have time to draw. So instead I taught myself how to use CapCut and made this little ship edit! 💙❤

The song is meant to convey their relationship from Edward's POV. As I've said before, I think Edward's been in love with the red engine since that very first day he saw him in the technicolor dreamcoat. But he didn't want to rush James into anything, so he waited for him to make a move first. But don't worry, someday they will be happily married.

Feral twin(k)s who hold a special place in the hearts of many eurofans. They sang abt lipstick once. They used to have huge hair and dress up like popcorn boxes or sweet dispensers or Pikachu. Nowadays they emerge every so often to make unhinged Tiktoks. I have an entire doc which is just quotes I've collected of them over the years (mainly Edward ngl)

Min-Gi Park & Ryan Akagi

These two were childhood best friends who dreamed of starting a band and traveling together. They went their separate ways after high school for Ryan to try to get Min-Gi to rejoin the band. They ended up on a magic train together bickering like an old married couple and for some reason sticking with a magic service bell named Kez who did nothing but get them into trouble. They also annoy a sentient castle by playing a song they wrote as kids about putting various animals in a toque.

Like they are basically gay and in love except 1. the big guys upstairs wouldnt allow it and 2. They are too much dumbasses to like even confess properly let alone actually communicate. It took a therapy train and a sentient bell named Kez for them to actually realize how much they care and how much they wanna achieve their dream of being in a band together (which gets realized and its so great i love my gays who play music)

It was a lovely day on the Island of Sodor. A new cafe had just opened up. It sold variety of different teas with milk and cream. That may not sound very different from other cafes on the island, but what made this establishment special was that some of the teas also had tiny, squishy balls inside. The humans called it boba.

James didn't understand what the tiny, squishy balls were. But he knew that Edward liked tea. And if the place was popular, that means the tea must be good. So when life on the railway was a little less busy, and he and Edward had some time off, James decided to ask Edward out on a date.

2x5 shippers, come get your food! ❤💙I've been wanting to draw these two going out on a date for some time now, and I decided to draw them going to a boba cafe. I had a super fun time designing their outfits (drawing them in trendy clothes was honestly my primary reason for drawing this lol), and I also based their drinks off of ones from a real-life boba cafe I enjoy.

James's drink is a mango smoothie with Tajin and chamoy. There were other red drinks I could have gone with, but James hits me as someone who likes a sweet/spicy flavor combination.

Edward's drink is a sweet Jasmine green tea with cream. Much simpler, but I think that's how Edward likes his tea (and honestly, many other things too).

I imagine after their date at the cafe, James and Edward end up stopping by an antique shop, where James gets to watch Edward light up at all the antique silverware they have in stock. And in turn, James looks at him with heart eyes because he loves his Old Iron very, very much.
