Life
Where to start?
I often feel I am nearly a shell of my former self.
I have heard these words come out of my mouth at a doctor’s office “You ruined my life”
I know there are people that are suffering far worse than I am.
I was just served a big old piece of not what I expected and not what you told me.
I agreed to have the second spine surgery because I still had some spinal issues. The main…

I had a nice pastel jelly roll and found this cute pattern at MSQC. I picked out the light teal for the pinwheel accent and a soft beige for the border and binding and did some simple straight line quilting on my domestic.
I should do this again. It was fun and fast and looks great.

First ever quilt! There’s some rough / uneven spots but it’s just for me and was a good practice learning how to use a sewing machine. Quite pleased with the result.

finished sewing my jelly roll quilt top together this afternoon. it came together quite well even though I hadn't evened out some of the blocks. it's gonna get some grungy pink backing and binding, and I'll probably quilt it with pink thread cause I think that'll look pretty cool.
(ignore the knitting it's getting frogged as soon as I find the energy)

Me: cuts out a bunch of quilt block pieces and has three goes at laying them out. Finally hit on one I like. Need to start piecing
Also me: oooooh, look at this completely different pattern! I bet I could get this done in like three days.

A Christmas wall hanging/lap sized quilt made from 2 jelly rolls, there are some leftovers. At this size a jelly roll strip would also work as the boarder.
It was made in rows starting from one end. Offset by one square each row for the diamond effect. Does best in a square shape.

I don’t want to jinx myself
Two posts in the same week? Does that mean Normal is approaching? One can only hope.
I have spent some time getting a few things organized and that helped. I now have things in baskets ready to sew, should the mood take me. Honestly, I am preparing for the fact that my daughter is going off to college. Not much time left (Sad). She has been spending a lot of time working this summer, so it has…

My kitty rainbow Step ladder quilt! It was made from a jelly roll, a bit of white accent, and the black border. I think it turned out fabulous 💖
The cats on the fabric are all directional, so I had to be careful sorting out the rows, and putting the rainbow border together, but I only got two turned around that I had to fix!
I’m considering finding a rainbow thread to quilt this with, but haven’t decided yet. It’ll have black minky on the back too, and black binding.
