you groaned as you tapped your phone for the tenth time, only a few minutes having passed as you gave in with a sigh, leaning over and flicking your bedside lamp on.

there was no point in laying in complete darkness by yourself, you weren't sleeping anytime soon. your girlfriend was away on camp and though normally you struggled a little to sleep without her, this week had been especially hard.

you'd recently gotten a promotion at work and though the salary bump and your own office was much appreciated, the extra responsibilities and unpaid overtime wasn't.

you loved what you were doing but come friday night and you were shattered, wishing for nothing more than to just curl up in marys arms. which is what lead to now as you lay here awake, only nine pm but exhausted, almost too tired to sleep.

you doom scrolled your social media's for a while, smiling seeing marys face pop up on a lionesses video from today, sharing it to your story like the proud girlfriend you were. all of your social media's were private, the world knew you were with mary but the two of you kept your relationship as much to yourselves as you could.

it would appear that small post had alerted someone to you being awake as within not even thirty seconds of it posting an incoming facetime call from your girlfriend popped up.

"hi love." you smiled happily, clicking accept as a beat passed and the call connected, marys face smiling right back at you. "you're up! why didn't you call me?" mary frowned and you smiled at the small pout on her lips.

"you said you were going to watch a movie with some of the girls babe, and i called you a few hours ago when i was making dinner." you laughed as her pout deepened. "but we're both awake now so why weren't we talking." she argued with a huff.

"would you like to check our messages thread to see who the last one to reply was?" you teased with a chuckle, marys eyes widening as she clicked out of the facetime. "hey it was you! don't make me worry like that." her face popped back up now with a scowl.

"how was your evening with the girls baby? tell me about it." you requested, adjusting your position and resting your phone against the pillow which was normally mary's, laying down a little more.

"mm well we actually had a games night instead! you remember the rec room from when you last visited right?" mary checked as you hummed with a small nod, sarina allowing the girls a few friends and families days during the world cup camp at SGP.

"so they split us up into teams and of course i got stuck with little miss can't take a loss toone." mary rolled her eyes making you laugh at the mention of your very stubborn friend as mary rattled off the rest of her team.

"first up was blackjack. crushed it!" mary paused to brush some imaginary dirt off her shoulders cockily as you smiled, eyes starting to feel just a little more heavy, comforted by the familiar sound of your girlfriends voice.

"ugh then we played twister...that got messy!" mary whistled with a wince, recalling how half the girls had wound up in a crumpled heap on the floor, poor hempo crushed beneath them.

"love you look shattered." mary stopped her story as she paused to look at you, eyes half closed as they suddenly snapped back awake. "m'fine baby, keep going." you waved for her to continue, moving to prop your head up on your hand.

"then we played jenga and tooney got us disqualified for cheating!" mary scoffed with a roll of her eyes. "what did she do?" you chuckled, eyes drooping for a moment before you exhaled and shook your head.

"kicked the table 'subtly' and knocked the whole tower over, rach tackled her to the ground and smacked her round cause she was winning." mary smiled in amusement, mostly at the fact you were half asleep than the story she was telling.

"well then we played darts." mary again winced, peaking your curiosity despite your fast fading state.

"less accidentally hit gracie with a dart, she threw one back and hit niamh, niamh tried to go after her and stepped on a dart dropped by maya and well...it sort of became a free for all acupuncture session until the staff stepped in and shut everything down." mary recounted grimacing and rubbing her arm where even she'd copped a few pricks.

"sounds more like a girls trip than a work camp." you teased sleepily, slurring your words slightly making your girlfriend smile adoringly. "baby go to sleep. you're beautiful and i love you very much but you are exhausted!" mary spoke softly as your head suddenly dropped, your hand giving out as you perked up again.

"no no i just dozed off babe keep talking. what's on your training agenda for tomorrow?" you sighed, firmly in denial despite your eyes still slotting closed again. you hummed as mary began to recount her schedule for her tomorrow, watching on with a soft lovesick smile as your breathing evened out and you eventually stopped responding all together, dead asleep.

"goodnight my beautiful stubborn girl." mary chuckled with a playful roll of her eyes reaching out to hang up, finger hesitating by the screen. dropping her hand she smiled, flicking off the lamp and moving her phone to the other pillow, settling into bed and kissing her fingers, pressing them against the screen as her own eyes slotted closed, the two of you falling asleep together despite being miles apart.

(A) attractive - what do they find attractive about u? how do they show this?

sean is attracted to anyone or anything that deviates the norm. dyed hair, unique background/perspective, and unconventional features. literally anything u think is unattractive and not up to the beauty standard about u, he probably rlly digs it. hell draw it in his journal always! but not in a way that comes across performative—he just draws u authentically. he doesnt feel the need to modify how u look in his art bc he thinks ure perfect as is (booo corny).

he shows his attraction through flesh-blazing, skull-burning staring. he analyzes his muses thoroughly after all... he knows where all ur freckles/moles are and can draw ur smile from sheer memory. in the months that he crushed on u, u couldn’t help but feel this pestering feeling of being watched in class constantly.

hes still a dorky teenage boy so if u share the same music taste as him or have the same hobbies hell geek out!! “no way she can skate AND listens to my favorite songs…” lyla will just roll his eyes at him in response. he acts like tom from 500 days of summer 😭

(B) baby - how do they act around kids?

sean definitely says he hates kids. hell talk about how annoying they are and use daniel as an example ALWAYS. that however does not hide the fact that he is REALLY good with kids. i wouldnt say its in a fatherly way but kids tend to look up to him as a cool older brother (even when he doesnt try to be one).

sean also secretly loves it when ur good with kids, despite him allegedly hating them. he cant help but grin ear-to-ear when he sees how happy u make daniel. once he becomes self-aware he tries to wipe his smile off asap. when u, sean, and daniel go out u guys are practically his parents. both of u know how to shut down daniels whining fast. albeit sean does more of the hushed, frustrated demands and u just try to defuse daniel.

(if u guys have ever seen the video of jake and tara with that baby thats how i imagine u guys with kids 😈 except ur both a mix of tara n jake)

honestly the two of u can never decide who’s big spooning and who’s little spooning. to solve this issue the two of u just kind of… stack on top of each other.

esteban will do his routine dad check up on the two of u (preventing teen pregnancy) and walk into u guys jenga-ed on top of each other. ur legs are a tangled mess and u look like two corpses laid on top of each other. scrolling through ur phones while stacked is the go-to. ull be muffled chuckling into sean’s stomach at random videos for an hour…

while cuddling sean always traces little drawings/words on ur body. when u ask him whats hes drawing hell probably say its a dick LMFAO. so romantic 🙄

at the beginning of ur relationship, sean always felt the need to be the “man” and cradle u like some big infant. overtime he got more comfortable and whenever u guys watch movies on the couch hell be sprawled out on top of ur lap. one arm up supporting his head and a leg propped up like a princess xoxo

(D) dates - what are dates with them like? what do they like to do?

concerts, fairs!!! and MOVIES for sure

sean casually drops half his check on good seats for one of ur guys favorite band. the two of u have a tradition of replaying their music for weeks until the concerts about to start. it literally does not matter how many times uve gone to concerts with sean—u guys stay excited every single time. the after concert high is so good and u guys always kiss in the car afterwards. the two of u mess up each other’s hair and shuffle back in ur seats with swollen lips. sean backs out the parking lot while awkwardly clearing his throat 😭

SEAN IS SUCH A BIG FAIR GUY. he gives less than two shits if the pop-up fairs are shady and will probably collapse at the slightest gust of wind. he WILL take u on all the janky rides and tease u for being freaked out. he holds ur hand while giggling like a lil boy on the ferris wheel bc the creaking starts to freak the both of u out. he also tries to win fair prizes for u and say its a “bullshit scam” when he loses.

u beg him to go into the photobooth and take cute little couple-esque photos. he says “fineee” after some convincing with a smile and he avoids ur gaze after too. he definitely secretly wanted to the whole time though!! when they print out, they come out with those face-adjusting filters. u guys are WHEEZING laughing in front of the slot where they regurgitate out those abominations. sean puts it on the back of his phone case bc he thinks its so hilarious 😭

sean is a film nerd considering he had goodlands on his laptop. hes definitely up to date on any movie releases and will want to watch anything new with u. u guys always dissect the movie aggressively afterwards. the both of u will forever and always argue about which characters u liked and didnt over some takeout.

(E) equal - are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

sean on the regular is passive. he never was the “dominant” type to like… back u into corners. in fact he was really awkward when u first met him. hes lowkey scared of women 😭

it took him a while to get comfortable/assertive. by “comfortable” i mean gaining the ability to tease u back LMAO. when he first gave u a snarky remark ur jaw kind of hung open and u guys HAVENT STOPPED SINCE. overall, sean usually was the one to wait for u to initiate something. he never wanted to put u in a situation ud be uncomfortable with.

(F) fight - would they be easy to forgive their s/o? how are they fighting?

u guys fight like an old married couple. playful arguments always happen but once it becomes serious/personal things go south. one thing leads to another and the two of u just get agitated with each other

when u guys do seriously fight sean eventually lets u have ur way ALWAYS. he always prioritizes what u need/feel in the end and is really good at saying sorry. a part of him feels like big fights indicate ull leave him so hell always choke out things like “i just dont wanna lose you” after arguments. it sounds really dramatic but he has DEEP-rooted abandonment issues. hell hold u—whether it be an embrace or ur hand just to feel comforted afterwards.

(G) gentle - how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?

GAWWWWWWWWWDAUH sean is so incredibly very gentle. sure, he teases u sometimes but in the end, again, he always makes sure ur comfortable! he asks u if ur okay when u look clearly overstimulated/out of it.

physically, sean doesnt mess around. he will constantly playfully shove u, mess with ur hair, etc. obviously its never to the point where it hurts but this is the only way he can get his daily dose of pda, so!

(H) hugs - do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?

sean is crazy on back hugs. he will always surprise u with one and he WILL trap u in it. ull be walking around his house and chatting with his leech-self wrapped around u. he likes nuzzling his nose in and u can feel his lips curl into a smile on the nape of ur neck when u make a joke (😢)

sean takes the opportunity to embrace u at any moment of privacy hes given. when daniel or esteban catches him he immediately flings off u and starts stuttering LMAO. hes kind of lanky so if anything his clothes are what cushion u. BUT he is very warm and is a personal heater #tbh. who needs a coat when u have sean???

(I) i love you - how fast did they say the l-word?

i feel sean is VERY quick to fall in love but takes forever to actually utter the words out. he will have a love at first sight moment with u and only have the feelings grow bigger and bigger as time goes on. sean is overall a reserved person and wouldnt go out of his way to tell u, no matter how much lyla encouraged him.

he would only say it once it becomes overbearing for him. like, to the point where the extent he loves u has become pervasive and PERSISTENT. it will just explode out of him at some pivotal moment. u guys will be laughing hysterically at something only u guys would laugh at. then, boom, it slips out like its something he had to swallow back down a hundred times before. because its so sudden, it will definitely catch u off guard.

he would repeat it because he didnt think u heard it the first time like a dork. his stomach acid is doing fucking somersaults at this point. u will visibly see this guy’s face drop and his hands start to fiddle anxiously. his eyes will kind of dart all over ur shocked face in fear. he’ll choke a lil “sorry i have no clue why i even said that-“

(J) jealousy - how jealous do they get? when do they get jealous?

sean is always a bit wary of specific guy friends or potential suitors u have in ur life. again, sean picks up on LOTS that most people brush over. he knows when people flirt with u and he always bites his tongue before he says anything.

whenever u talk about other people too much, he gets a little… sassy. ull be thanking some guy in ur class for giving u the answers and hell be grumbling “i wouldve gave them to u…” under his breath. u shoot a look at him and he just defensively puts his arms up LMAO. he never seems to stop either. the amount of times u caught him rolling his eyes… criminal.

(K) kisses - what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss u? where do they like to be kissed?

sean is so shy when it comes to kisses. when u first began dating, sean never kissed u without a shy “can i?” before. he never knew when was appropriate or if u wanted to kiss him at all. his ears would flare up in red and his eyebrows would furrow in concentration each time.

overtime, as he got more comfortable, sean began finding the “right times” himself. whenever u leave his house he always gives u a quick peck. daniel never misses his opportunity to scream “EWW” as loud as he can. sean will be like “one more” and smooch ur cheek and then say “wait another one” and just KEEP GOING. if he wore lipstick u would look like u were dunked in a pig’s blood.

smiling into the kiss happens without fail—every single time. sean cant help himself, hes a lover boy!! he will always slowly open his eyes and pray u wont catch him sneaking a look. once he pulls away, he laughs while covering his mouth with his wrist. he gets butterflies still, no matter how many times u kiss 😭 im sick.

(L) love language - what is his love language?

sean’s family is big on quality time so he definitely prioritizes it. impromptu hangouts are his absolute favorite and if he could, hed spend every hour he could with u. sean never fails to randomly invite u over and hold u at gunpoint to do family time with him, daniel, and esteban.

also sean is a big gift giver! he will always give u doodles of ur favorite characters and little things that remind him of u. u guys have matching pins, keychains, bracelets, etc. not only does he go all out, but he also knows EXACTLY what u like. again, sean is the most attentive bf ever. hes the kind of man who would spend hours making coraline dolls of u two.

(M) mornings - how are mornings spent with him?

sean is not a morning person. he is almost always running late to first period, so oftentimes u cover for him. he will come to class with messy hair and will lizard-blink at literally anything u say. when u tell him that u gave the teacher an excuse, hell let out a croak-ey "thanks" and he will on a 99% chance knock out right after. he'll probably dazily open his eyes at u every so often and go back to sleep LMAO.

on weekends, sean will... barely be awake for mornings. ull be up and ready, watching hawt dawg man on the couch with daniel while eating cereal. sean shortly comes out of his mancave, stretching and yawning. hell come to lean on ur shoulder and stare blankly at the screen. its never particularly productive but sean couldnt care less honestly.

(N) nicknames -what does he call u?

sean has a disdain for nicknames. uttering any of them out loud just seemed so embarrassing to him… unless he’s making fun of them. he does however love “girlfriend.” its not exactly a nickname but he loves saying ur his girlfriend or “my girlfriends coming over” to people.

at a certain point he started using it in sentences that wouldn’t make sense. he’d go “hi girlfriend” every time he sees u. he’s so stew peed… 😢

(O) on cloud nine what is he like when he’s in love? is it obvious for others?

lyla never hears the end of u. shell be talking about something entirely unrelated and sean will be disassociating with his mouth open. when he finally snaps back into reality the first thing that comes out of his mouth is “do u think she would find it a turn off that u drive me everywhere?…“

“yeah obviously— were u even listening sean?”

“mm okay…” he just goes back to tuning her out again LMAO.

esteban will be asking for his tools from sean and he’d be totally zoned out just thinking about u. esteban will pull himself out from under the car and groan “augh… lover boy…” without sean even saying anything to him… so yes hes obvious.

(P) pda - is he upfront about your relationship? does he brag about you with others? or he rather shy to kiss, etc. when others are watching?

i already wrote on this but sean would rather keep intimate contact privately. that is, unless hes really in the heat of the moment. for example, at a concert hed just get so riled up. the lyrics of the song perfectly aligning with the way he feels about u MIGHTTT just make him collide lips with u, who knows! at special moments he won’t hesitate to kiss u but he’s just usually not a show-ey person.

too many times have the two of u attempted to sneak away to be romantic alone and gotten caught. whether it be lyla, esteban, daniel, or any of sean’s guy friends—they always tease u guys. lyla is so dramatic and she’d probably do the most, screaming and squawking when all she sees is sean hugging u 😭

(Q) quizzes - how much would they remember about you? do they remember every little detail you mention in passing or do they kind of forget everything?

just like i mentioned earlier, sean remembers every little thing. he knows which side of ur smile leans more toward, the distinctive mole on ur arm, etc etc etc. he loves u like how a husband with a camcorder loves his late wife <3

sean has pulled multiple joe goldbergs before u started dating. he will give u some small knick knack of ur favorite video game/show/band and ull thank him, visibly confused on when u mentioned it. hell notice and just go “i heard u talk about it like three months ago.” he only realizes HOURS LATER how creepy he sounded and his ass will start sliding down a wall dramatically in his room.

(R) rosy - what makes them blush?

sean is quick to blush. honestly, any time u guys are intimate in any sort of way his ears are probably burning up. he’ll try to hide that he’s nervous by giving u quick one-liners back but inside his heart is RACING.

(S) security - how protective are they? how would they protect you?

sean goes to great lengths to protect people he loves, like u. in relation to actual life is strange 2 lore, sean definitely does anything in his power to not involve u in the incident. if u try to contact him or find him, he’ll probably be EXTREMELY upset. at first, all he can think about is how much he wants u away from all this mess. he just wants u to live a normal life—and if that meant being far away from him he’d be okay with it. u would beg him to let u back in his life and eventually, with much hesitation, he’d oblige. keeping u alongside daniel on the road allowed u to see another side to sean. he had been hit and came back up so many times just for u. all he wants in his life is to keep u safe.

exempt from life is strange 2 lore, sean always does little things to keep u safe. there are many times where he treats u like daniel—aka a big baby LMAO. he’s big on acts of service as well so he’ll always make u walk on the inside of the sidewalk, hold ur hair away from ur face when it’s windy, help u jump off of places too high up, etc.

(T) try - how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?

he’s so bf coded of course he puts maximum effort at all times! he gets crafty for you every anniversary—a collection of drawings of u and a curated playlist/burnt cd is the MINIMUM he’s capable of. he’s the kind of boyfriend that can actually pick up on subtleties. something u mentioned liking once? it’s now in his cart.

when sean feels like switching it up he’ll try to do things he’s not used to like pottery and completely fail 😭. he has some place in the back of his closet for all the clunky diy gifts he’s tried to make for u in the past. despite this, he’ll give u a perfect trinket dish and u’ll wonder how he’s so good at everything… well, one day in his room he’ll ask u to go get something from his closet. u go inside and see a cardboard box with 15 versions of that very same trinket dish he made.

(U) understanding - how well do they know their partner?

sean does his best at understanding you as a person. when u talk about complicated emotions and unique experiences he doesn’t quite share, he’ll have this really pensive expression. he nods along and tries to understand ur perspective to the best of his ability. because of this, its really easy to open up to sean.

sean has you down to a T. hes so so so perceptive and knows when u feel uncomfortable. a small falter in ur smile, the glossy glint in ur eyes, ur lip quivering, he sees it ALL. he will immediately try to get u out of whatever situation ure in.

(V) vanity - how concerned are they with looks?

he could give less than two farts tbh. he loves when u look like a mess, more drawing opportunities for him. he however will make a big deal about looking good in front of u. he will be styling his hair for an hour in front of the mirror before going on a date with u, hogging the bathroom. he also practices the way he approaches u and lays out his outfits to impress u LMAO.

(X) xtra headcanon

sean loves cats so much. if u have a cat, he will spend the whole time at ur house trying to befriend them. bro will be crawling all over ur house on all fours... it gets to the point where u guys can never pass by a petsmart without sean making an impromptu visit to see the cats. plus, u guys have matching cat profile pictures!!!

(Y) yearning - how will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

sean coops up and calls and texts u as much as u can. its to the extent where he will send u nonsensical texts just so he can open ur guys' chat. ur phone will be vibrating so much and out of curiosity ull open it to just see random symbols and letters strung together. he'll send u random photos throughout the day that remind him of u and make unplanned video calls. u guys do mundane tasks together in silence for HOURS. they never fail to end with him just falling asleep on call.

(Z) zzz - what are their sleep habits?

sean is NOT a morning person. because daniel’s usually the one that wakes him up, he will slam a pillow into ur face when ur just trying to wake him up. he will open his eyes to see u and mumble a “shit sorry…” and snake his hand around u back into bed. he will hold u PRISONER under those sheets. if u try to shuffle out he will snake another arm around u. u're essentially held hostage until sean decides he wants to set u free... cruel world.

unfortunately i feel like this is very lackluster and COULDVE BEEN BETTER idk. also not proofread so sorry if this was... inchuresting to read... it also sucked me dry so i think i may have to start writing ACTUAL fanfics instead of hcs😢😢😢 thank u if u did enjoy though...

If there's one thing that Jungkook absolutely despises, it's when people think jocks are dumb. It's a common misconception and it's downright hurtful sometimes; just because Jungkook is the basketball captain, doesn't mean that anybody has the right to assume he's got hay for brains.

However, if someone were to come up to him right now and say it to his face, he probably wouldn't disagree.

"So yeah, if they lose the memories of these relationships, I think they'd also be losing parts of themselves that make them whole, because an individual's identity is an accumulation of multiple smaller identities they have with every single intimate relationship that ultimately forms one collective identity, y'know?" you finish, and it's not until then that Jungkook comes back down to earth, realizing that he's just been staring at you this whole time. "Anyway, what do you think?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah! Same, uhm," Jungkook stammers. "I also thought about their collective relationsh- I mean, collective identity and multiple identities and-"

You purse your lips as you take in his whole demeanor, like a nervous child fumbling with his words. "Did you not watch the movie?"

He did watch the movie. In fact, Jungkook watched it three times over the weekend because that's how much he liked it. When he registered for this class - History of Popular Cinema - at the end of last semester, he was hoping that it'd be an easy elective so he could focus more on basketball and his core courses. And for the most part, this film class is easy. All he has to do is watch movies and hand in a few short essays every now and then. Piece of cake.

Then the final paper rolls around and the professor assigns everybody a partner to work with. In theory, it should still be a piece of cake, because there still isn't that much to do anyway.

So why is it so fucking hard all of a sudden?

Jungkook had never really noticed you before you became his designated collaborator for the month. Never saw you on campus, never saw you attending the games. Hell, he didn't even know your name until this final assignment.

"I watched it," he defends himself lamely.

"Okay. And?"

"It was good."

You frown, and all Jungkook can think about is how adorable that crease between your eyebrows is. How he just wants to reach across the table and smooth it over, or better yet, kiss it away.

He's fully aware of how stupid he must look, with his sweaty palms and his words falling over each other like goddamn Jenga pieces, in front of a girl that he's been obsessed with for weeks now. Jungkook doesn't normally do crushes, but the more time he spends with you to work on this lame ass paper, the more he finds his mind drifting to you even when you're not in his vicinity.

He thinks you're so pretty when you absentmindedly bite your lip whenever you're concentrating. He thinks you always smell like jasmine, and he's delighted by how your scent lingers on his own clothes after every time you meet, like he's carrying home a reminder of you. He thinks you're ten leagues smarter than him when you text him whole paragraphs detailing how postmodern filmmakers flirt with the concept of identity fragmentation through different types of cinematic manifestation as a reflection of the realistic postmodern person, because what the fuck does that even mean?

"You're not doing a very good job at convincing me you watched the movie," you say.

Jungkook groans internally - and a little externally too - as he runs a hand down his face. "I watched it, I promise," he tells you. "I watched it, and I really liked it. It made me think about a lot of deep shit that I don't normally think about."

"Uh huh," you say slowly. Your frown is still there, but now it's embedded in confusion as you try to understand his dilemma. "Then tell me about that. What was the deep shit?"

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because I can't think around you," he settles on being honest. "Because I keep thinking about you when you're not here, yet when you are, I can't even think at all."

It takes a minute for his words to sink into your brain, and Jungkook watches nervously as a blush spreads across your cheeks, so rosy that he just wants to grab your face and pepper kisses all over. For the first time since he has known you, you don't know how what to say.

The sight of you, rendered speechless by him being rendered an idiot, has Jungkook blushing too. Despite the patch of bashful silence that ensues, somewhere outside the metaphorical windows of his and your minds, both your thoughts are riding off into the sunset together, holding hands.

Friend I have some truly excellent games for you this week.

TRESPASSER, by Binary Star Games.

The Zone is an area that's been sealed off by a nation or group of nations due to its danger. It's filled with Anomalies, extremely dangerous areas where physical laws like gravity, magnetism, electricity, or chemistry can break down to lethal effect, as well as mutants and things considered impossible.

Like many, you have entered the Zone, but not legally. You are collectively known as Trespassers. Some inside are on their own, some in groups, some part of larger factions. But most want one thing: to reach the centre and claim what it conceals.

This game can accommodate a GM but it isn’t necessary - in fact, you can even play it solo! As this game is inspired by STALKER, I think it’s going to really give you the vibe you’re going for. Troubles in Breathless games escalate as you play, so the longer you stay in The Zone, the worse things are going to get. I definitely recommend checking out this game!

BLOOM, by Litza Bronwyn.

BLOOM is a solo gmless journaling game in which you play a teenage girl trapped in quarantine at a boarding school on an island infected by the Tox, a plague that makes the trees and animals grow huge and hungry, and mutates your body in strange and horrific ways. In it, you will draw cards and write journal entries based on specific prompts in order to craft a story of survival and love.

I’ve read the book Wilder Girls by Rory Power, and it has a lot of the same themes as Annihilation and STALKER, so it might fit the niche you’re looking for. As a solo game, this uses the Wretched & Alone SRD, so you’ll probably want a Jenga tower, and you’ll definitely want a deck of cards.

Navigator, by Micheal Klamerus.

Navigator is a two-player tabletop rpg created for the Just the Two of Us Jam. It's inspired by the movie Stalker and the games Alone Among the Stars, Memoirs of a Barbarian and Thirst.

In this game two players journey into a mysterious, restricted site known as the Zone to find a room rumoured to grant people their innermost desires. One player is The Client, a person who wants to find this room and have their wish granted, and the other player is The Navigator, a person with previous experience navigating the Zone that has been hired by The Client to help them find the Room.

This game is definitely inspired by media such as STALKER, but it doesn’t have to be inspired by that. When I played this game, we decided to go for something a bit more fantastical, but if you and the person you play this with agree on the same inspiration, you should have no trouble experiencing this as an eerie, unnerving, dangerous setting.

Exclusion Zone Botanist, by Exeunt Press.

YOU ARE AN EXCLUSION ZONE BOTANIST. GET IN. DISCOVER AND DOCUMENT. GET OUT.

Another one for the solo enthusiasts, and it’s inspired by Jeff Vandermeer’s Annihilation. Your character is specifically looking for plants, which you will locate by rolling 2d6. You get a little hex map to track your progress as you play. As you go, you risk being influenced by the corruption of the zone. Your goal is to document as many plants as possible before you become the forest - because if you are corrupted too much, they can’t pull you out. A delightfully time-sensitive game.

The Zone, by Laughing Kaiju.

The digital tabletop storygame of magical realism, mutant weirdness, and collaborative self-destruction.

This is a really cool digital ttrpg, with a physical version on the way. You can play solo or multiplayer, and the website will guide you through play step by step. The game is meant to be collaborative, so everyone will have moments where they direct play. The author also encourages you to play to lose - this is a tragic game, a horror game. The game itself uses a number of cards representing locations, laid out in a spiral to form an abstract sort of map. Each location will have its own scene, probably more. And rather than rolling dice to resolve tasks, you choose whether something is easily doable, or not-so-easy - in which case you pull from a deck. This is where the mutations may come from.

Dead Friend Forever Episode 10

I meant to post this yesterday after I watched the episode when it aired but it was a long day yesterday so here we are. I have a lot I want to say about this show in general but that will have to be a different post, so this is just some thoughts about the episode. Spoilers for DFF episode 10 and I guess spoilers if you haven't seen the first Scream movie.

I think Phee and Tan/New are on opposite sides but not in the narrative we are being given. Phee told Jin some things that Phee would have no way of knowing because he was not with Tan when he was doing those things (poisoning Top at the temple (Phee was at the house), hanging the wire, being in the woods with Por (Phee was with Jin when that way happening) ) those are to name few instances where Phee is implying and stating he believes Tan/New did those things not that he actually saw him do those things or that Tan/New told him he did those things.

I think Phee is 100% manipulating Jin or at the very least the situation. I take back what I said last week about Phee having feelings for Jin. I think he does have feelings, but I also believe there is still some major manipulation happening. Phee and Jin could have left that temple whenever they wanted to!! When Phee gets water for Jin he goes back to alter where they walked in and got attacked by Top in the mask. Meaning they are not trapped in that temple so unless it has to do with them or Jin being tired and needing to rest some. They are not trapped. Also, Jin drinks the water, Phee does not, Jin hallucinates, and then after some long discussion we conveniently have an axe that Phee says it must be Tan/New's. Which after the woods knowing what Phee knows about Tan/New and the hallucinations he still chose to conveniently drop the axe right outside the house. I think Phee is just as much of a manipulator of situations. Which leads me to my next point about Phee and his reactions. I think he is possibly pulling a Billy Loomis (Scream!) (I could be wrong, this is just what it reminded me of or the vibe I got) In Scream, Billy secretly in the mask comes after Sydney then pretends it isn't him, then makes himself seem innocent and then gets attacked by the killer (fake dies) only to then be revealed to be the actual killer/one behind the mayhem. I think Phee may be doing this to Jin and may be planning to get Jin to 100% trust and rely on him to then use that against him especially because Tan/New seemed calm with Phee revealing who he is but more importantly I think it ties back to the fact that Phee in present time referred to himself as Non's boyfriend. Not a "I use to be his boyfriend", " I told him to go die and we broke", no. Jin asks, " Tan is Non's brother, the one called New right?" Phee responds "Yes. New came back from England." Jin then asks, " And you're Non's boyfriend?" and Phee says Yes. I think this is important because Jin is clarifying what he has been told and if he is caught up on all the information so at that moment Phee is saying yes, I am Non's boyfriend. I think this will be important going into our final two episodes.

Fluke shot Top in the exact same spot Por got impaled by the branch. Coincidence? Ironic?

Back to Phee and what he told Jin about Por and the woods. He is assuming Por saw Non under the mask or assuming Por saw the masked killer, he would have no way of knowing that it is what Por saw because Por couldn't tell them what he hallucinated. So, in my opinion that is either a big assumption of Phee's part or he lied! I stated back in my original theory post with my deep dive that I think there have been 3 "killers" this whole time. Because someone groped Tee, we still don't know if Tan was hallucinating seeing the masked killer after Fluke hallucinated being choked by Por and there was no way Tan/ New could have lured Por out of the house and into the woods because Tan/ New was with Fluke and Top playing Jenga. And we know if we are to believe Phee, Phee states to Jin that Tan/New must have lured Por out of the house, Phee is directly implying that Por did not hallucinate seeing someone on the CCTV camera which is what led him to seeing someone outside to then be lured out there in the first place. Phee again in my opinion is backing up that there is in fact another people helping them. Whether that person is helping just Phee or Phee and Tan/New we do not know but the likelihood of a third person (Non or possibly White) could very well be true.

White. I want more about him. I think he goes between being calm to crying very quickly. He also seems to be able to manipulate Tee and change the situation. I do believe there is more to White that we know, and I hope the next episode gives us that however if White is innocent and just Tee's boyfriend then I do believe his death will be to show just how far Tan/New is not only willing to go but also the fact that an innocent person is dead due to not only the acts of the original group ( Por, Fluke, Top, Tee, & Jin) but also that the need for revenge or the need for answers ( Phee & Tan/New) has caused the death of an innocent person something they cannot take back. If White dies in the show innocent Tan/New will be responsible for causing the death of someone similar to the brother he was doing all this for in the first place and once again the destruction of a seemingly innocent person will be laid at the feet of the original group and that loss will be a punishment and consequence for Tee's role in Non's life and by extension Tan/New's.

I have more to say about Jin and Phee and the woods, but it will be its own post.

"-and you're sure this is how you want to spend date night?" you asked, in disbelief of the taller girls out of the blue suggestion.

"yes. you and vic now never shut up about me being a bad driver, time to test it out." alessia shrugged, fiddling around with the switch as she inserted the game card.

"lessi baby you're not a bad driver you're just...challenged in some aspects." you smiled, only rewarded with a pointed glare over her shoulder toward you. "whatever you say passenger princess." your girlfriend quipped back with a scoff.

"hey! it's not my fault that british roads hate me." you huffed, eyebrows knit into a frown at the fact you were still yet to gain a uk driving license or pass the test despite having held your full license in your home country for years now.

"well lets see if you're any better behind a virtual road then pretty girl, do they have a london track you can practice on?" alessia mocked with a pout, loading the game and handing you a controller.

"you'll regret that." you warned calmly, snatching it off of her and shuffling away as she sat right beside you making her eyes roll. "oh don't be so dramatic." the blonde reached over and tugged you back to sit right beside her.

"it's still date night even if you're about to lose." she smiled smugly, placing a sloppy kiss to your cheek and gasping as you wiped it off with a fake grimace of disgust, settling into her side.

after five minutes of bickering back and forth about which settings the two of you wanted to race with left you sitting in a dead silence as the air was thick with the competitive streak which raced through both your bloodstreams.

neither of you liked to lose let alone to one another, uno and jenga already banned in your shared home unless playing with a group. which likely came from the pair of you both being the youngest siblings in your respective families, growing up feeling as though you had something to prove by winning.

you easily won the first race while alessia came third, grumbling angrily to herself as you stayed quiet, simply smiling happily the second race started and you heard your girlfriend aggressively button mashing beside you as you took an early lead.

unfortunately with a poor streak of being relentlessly assaulted by red shells that race ended with her coming first and you coming fifth much to your displeasure, ignoring her teasing jabs and pushing her away as she leaned over and tickled your sides with a grin, pecking your lips a few times as she did.

alessia now one spot ahead of you in the rankings your third race loaded and both you and alessia groaned seeing it was rainbow road, finally agreeing on something which was that you both detested this course.

neither of your skill sets included staying on the track in that race, you finishing fourth and alessia in fifth as she was still just two points ahead of you and your final race commenced.

you cheered quietly seeing it was your favourite track, game face plastered on as the two of you raced continually switching who was in the lead right up until the final lap.

alessia was flying in first the finish line in sight and your stomach started to clench knowing you'd lost, already preparing for the onslaught of cocky remarks and teasing you'd need to endure from her for the rest of the evening.

but then a miracle occured, the blue shell hit and you went flying past her to come in first, topping the leaderboard. "yes! get in!" you cheered, dropping your controller and jumping onto the sofa, wiggling your hips around doing a victory dance.

"nah thats bullshit!" alessia yelled angrily, tossing the controller beside her and glaring up at you as you continued your dance. "loser, loser, loser!" you chanted repeatedly forming an L with your fingers as she harshly smacked your leg and sank back into the cushions with her arms crossed.

you collapsed down on top of her, moving to straddle her lap and squish her face in your hands. "buzzing!" you mocked her thick accent with a cheeky grin. "fuck off." alessia grunted with a scowl as she attempted to push you off her.

"now now lessibear don't be grumpy." you cooed sarcastically, kissing all over her face as she shoved you away trying to move you off of her as you pressed your hips down into her, clinging on.

"say; i alessia russo am a terrible driver both on real roads and virtual ones." you teased, pinching her cheeks as she grabbed your wrists and tried to pull your hands away.

"no, you're insufferable get off!" "say it and i will! come on baby, you can do it." you cooed encouragingly, still squeezing her cheeks in between your fingers

"i alessia russo at least have a license on the road, so whose the real loser?" "hey! that is not what i told you to say!"

leah

"oh you're dead and done for mate i'm gonna boss this." leah grinned competitively as you loaded the game, rolling your eyes at her choice of words. "don't call me mate! i'm your girlfriend." you shot her a glare over her shoulder and grabbed the controllers.

"no i want the red one." leah demanded as you offered her the blue. "too bad, i grabbed it first." you shrugged, squealing as her arms snaked around your waist yanking you down onto the sofa.

"give it to me." leah ordered as you shoved it into your back pocket and shook your head firmly.

"no. you don't even know how to play! if i have to put up with teaching you then i at least get whatever controller i want lee." you rolled your eyes, pushing away her hands as they tried to slide under your back to grab the controller.

"but red goes faster!" the blonde whined as you got your feet up to push them against her chest kicking her off of you and sitting back up. "you're such a child sometimes leah honestly." you shook your head, red controller in hand as the older girl begrudgingly picked up the blue one.

"well? are you going to teach me or just sit there in silence woman." leah huffed as you slowly turned your head to look at her with narrowed eyes.

"the game is loading! what would you like me to teach you then, to have some fucking patience?" you retorted sharply, leah only whistling in response.

"what?" you huffed sending her another glare. "you're just so gorgeous when you're annoyed with me babe, its honestly more motivation to beat you." leah smiled sweetly as you sighed deeply at the comment, not rewarding it with any verbal response.

selecting the settings you desired you spent time running leah through all the controls and the rules, clicking play once she'd confirmed she understood. "hey how did you do that!" she huffed seeing you get a speed boost at the beginning, choosing not to answer her.

"how do you release the power thingys?" leah asked, frustration growing when again you didn't answer. "oi! babe you said you'd teach me." leah shoved you causing your lips to curl into a smile, moving easily into first place as leah dropped into tenth.

"i did teach you, not my fault you don't listen or learn." you quipped, racing across the finish line with a smug smile. "show me again then." leah ordered fixing you with a stern glare as she finished in ninth.

"show you again..." you trailed off expectantly with a raised eyebrow. "now." leah ordered firmly, scowl present on her face as the next race loaded. "ooo wrong answer baby." you pouted, turning back to face the screen as leah groaned, kicking you half heatedly.

"what!" your girlfriend shouted, burning out at the starting line making your amused smile grow as you easily took off into first. "nah this is rigged!" the captain huffed as again she struggled to progress from last place.

"switch." she suddenly spoke on the last lap, grabbing your controller and dumping yours in her lap. "leah!" you whined, trying to grab it back as she moved onto her back and held you away with her legs, sock covered feet pressed to your chest.

"winner!" she cheered happily as she crossed the finish line in first, grinning up at you as you dropped to your knees and glared down at her with crossed arms. "classic defender, steals all the credit and gets all the praise from one little pass or kick out." you sighed, hint of a smile tugging at your lips as the grin dropped from leahs.

"no!" you laughed as she lunged for you, the two of you rolling around until you both promptly fell off the couch, leah groaning as you landed on top of her. tucking your face into her neck your bodies vibrated against each other as laughter filled the room.

"will you pretty pretty please teach me how to play love, properly?" leah asked as you shifted to press your forehead against hers. "only cause you asked so nicely." you agreed, pressing your lips to hers.

"but i'm keeping the red controller."

"baby?" "baby?" "ale?" "amor?"

"alexia!" you huffed louder, hands on your hips as your girlfriend finally looked away from the television with a raised eyebrow. "are you deaf?" you accused making the blonde roll her eyes and turn back to the mens football game on the screen.

"i wasn't finished!" you huffed again, tossing a trainer at her as she sighed deeply and again turned to look at you. "you promised we would spend some actual time together tonight." you spoke softer now, slight pout on your lips as you wandered closer.

"i did, but it is not tonight yet princesa." alexia smiled finding some amusement in the situation, nodding toward the large double paneled windows of your living room where the late afternoon sun was streaming in, nala asleep on the floor bathing in its warm glow.

"i-" you started, stumbling over your words, giving up with a scoff and retreating to your shared bedroom. you heard the blonde yell out she loved you, repeating it again when you didn't answer, but then the sound of the football increased and your eyes rolled.

flicking through several different streaming services on the television in your bedroom trying to find something to watch you smiled as nala joined you, admittedly taking pride in the fact she was now curled up with you instead of by alexia.

unable to find anything that interested you meant you let out a troubled sigh, spotting the switch in the corner behind one of your girlfriends many many trophies. plugging it in and setting it up you hunted around the room, trying to remember where you'd put the games.

finally finding them you loaded in mario kart, something you seldom played unless it was for a team bonding night you often hosted or when mapi would come over seeking company when ingrid was away on international duty.

you'd settled in and had been happily playing for what felt like only a little while, nala curled up happily into your side when alexia appeared, leaning her taller frame in the doorway with an amused smile.

"can i play?" you finished your race and looked at the older girl in surprise at her request, nodding and setting it up for the two of you as she grabbed another controller and got comfortable on the bed.

the blonde patting the space in between her outstretched legs you settled your back against her front, tucking your knees to your chest as your head leaned back against her shoulder.

your previous annoyance with her melted away as she pressed a few gentle kisses to your temple, humming every now and then as you walked her through how to play. it was rare the girl ever joined in playing on team game nights, much preferring to sit back and observe so you assumed she'd not played before.

how wrong you were.

the first race starting you craned your neck back and puckered your lips as the catalan smiled and rewarded you with a few sweet pecks as you mumbled good luck and settled back in.

though as the midfielder easily shot into first, skillfully navigating her way around the track and keeping a comfortable lead your eyebrows furrowed. you chose not to comment on it as you finished in second, alexia picking up on your body language and smiling, once more kissing your forehead as the next race loaded.

but as she once more kept a comfortable lead, even knowing how to avoid a blue shell shot her way your mouth formed a small o and as she raced across the line in first place and you again in second you paused the game.

"you've played before." you accused more than asked, turning your body to look up at her, smug smile settling on her lips. "to be fair cariño you did not ask if i had played before." she spoke with a shrug, infuriatingly attractive smirk painted on her rosy pink lips.

"when!" your frown deepened, pushing at her chest as she tried to kiss away your annoyed pout. "when do you think princesa? you do know you can remove the actual screen to play, no?" alexia nodded to the console in amusement as your frown deepened.

"your office!" you realized suddenly, the older girl often ducking off there on late nights if she was wound up after a match, always kissing away your tired mumbles for her to stay as she promised she would return once she had reviewed some match footage to try and help her decompress.

"si, now press play so i can keep winning." alexia grinned happily as you scoffed in disbelief. "hey no, come on amor don't be a baby." alexia chuckled, arms locking around your waist with an iron grip as you tried to move away from her.

"diabla." you muttered under your breath, shrugging her arms off but settling back against her chest. "la reina." alexia corrected with a smirk, grabbing your chin in her hand and tilting your head back kissing all over your face until a smile curled back onto your lips.

it was safe to say that much to your girlfriends endless amusement and your growing frustrations you didn't win a single race.

mapi/ingrid

ingrid chuckled as she returned to your shared apartment, not even having opened the door yet before she heard her girlfriends bickering from inside, slipping her key into the lock with a shake of her head.

"ha! eat that!" the tattooed spaniard sat beside you cheered as she hit you with a red shell and raced past you to win. "puta!" you groaned coming in second, kicking her lightly where your feet rested in her lap, bagheera watching on from where he sat atop the sofa right by mapi's head.

ingrid smiled seeing the two of you so engrossed in the game as she set her bags down on the table. though that was wiped right away as her eyes landed on the bomb site which was once her sparkling clean kitchen.

you and mapi had been left to your own devices as ingrid had spent the day out shopping with frido, which meant the house that she'd left in a reasonably organised state was now anything but.

an unreasonable amount of pans, pots and dishes for two people littered the stove top and sink where you'd both cooked lunch and not yet cleaned up, unable to agree on what you wanted and cooked several different things.

the baskets of both clean and dirty laundry still sat by the bedroom door where ingrid had left them, both of you promising her you'd deal with them while she was out.

clearing her throat making her presence known both of your heads whipped toward her, eager smiles plastered on your lips as mapi hit pause and ingrid walked over to stand in front of you.

"hermosa, you're back!" mapi greeted happily, though both of your smiles faded seeing the hard glare sent your way by the seemingly pissed off norweigen girl in front of you.

catching the baskets sitting unattended to behind her you realized far more quickly than the older girl beside you just why your girlfriend was less than impressed with you both.

"we were going to clean up after we finished this game baby, promise." you winced at her withering stare at your words, kicking your other girlfriend beside you to speak up. "you will do it now, go!" ingrid ordered, pointing one hand toward the laundry and the other to the kitchen.

you tried to sit up to do as she asked, but it was a heavily tattooed hand settling on your stomach which held you down from doing so. "if you beat us both, we will clean the entire house princesa." mapi challenged with a smile and a raised eyebrow.

"maría!" you hissed, eyebrows furrowing as she waved you off, pressing down again on your stomach as you tried to get up. "or, you do it now because i asked you to do it when i left hours ago." ingrid didn't back down, the two of them locked eyes and staring one down without a single wavered resolve.

"we'll do it now love. mapi!" you kicked her again with a scowl, the defender returning with one of her own in warning before her attention shifted. "one race?" the older girl smiled charmingly, wiggling the controller in her hand.

"if i beat you, you clean the house?" ingrid asked with a sigh of defeat, your other girlfriend nodding eagerly as the taller girl sat down on the floor with a shake of her head.

you moved to kiss ingrids cheek mumbling an apology in her ear, again kicking your other girlfriend who mumbled kiss ass under her breath in spanish as she loaded up the race.

you both explained the controls to her as the taller girl nodded along in understanding, readying herself as the countdown begin and you sat up.

all three of you racing didn't stop your bickering with the older defender beside you, once again trading insults back and forth both in english and spanish as you took turns in the lead.

you smiled somewhat proudly as ingrid moved up to third, now just one behind your other girlfriend as you opened up a steady lead. "hey! joder!" you swore again as mapi suddenly moved her hand to cover your eyes causing you to swerve off the track and shove her away.

starting the final lap you glanced down to see ingrids tongue poking out of her mouth in concentration, and a look beside you showed mapis face creased into a deep frown.

knowing if you both won you'd be in more trouble than before you waited to make your move.

a few hundred metres left you pounced, grabbing mapi's controller out of her hands and tossing it onto the arm chair in the corner as a string of angry spanish left her mouth and she tackled you but it was too late.

you crossed over in first, ingrid in third and mapi in sixth. you covered your face and tried to tuck into yourself as tattooed limbs smacked and jabbed at you repeatedly.

"el cabrón!" mapi huffed as you finally got a leg free and kicked her away, trying to shuffle up and away from her, grunting as she promptly sat her taller body down on your back.

"what?" she huffed at ingrids knowing look as you tried to throw her off to no success. "go!" ingrid ordered, pointing again to the kitchen and the laundry. "what? you didn't win!" mapi scoffed with a frown. "she didn't beat both of us, but she did beat one of us..." you smiled, ingrid humming in agreement.

"that is not fair!" the tattooed defender protested, hand smacking down harshly on your ass as you laughed at her expense beneath her, ignoring your whines for her to get off.

"i asked you both to do it hours ago. you made a stupid bet and you lost. go maría!" ingrid ordered, eyes narrowing to show she wasn't joking around, mapi groaning but standing up to her feet.

ingrid ducking off to shower you rolled over and grabbed the tv remote, flicking off the switch and onto netflix, though before you could make another move your body was hauled up into the air and you found yourself hanging over your other girlfriends shoulder.

"maría put me down! i didn't lose!" you laughed, smacking her back as she walked the two of you away. "no but you did cheat princesa." mapi tutted, holding your body up with one arm and grabbing a basket of laundry in the other as you continued to laugh, an amused smile now settling on the defenders lips.

"where are we going amor? put me down!" "no, i am going to lock you in the washing machine to teach you a lesson." "ingrid!"
