So I'm re reading six of crows for the millionth time, and I just wanted to share Matthias's first impressions of the crows (not including nina because shes already met him but if you want me too I can) because I can't stop laughing. This guy has no chill. And I know these are here for our benefit too to give us more description for the crows.

jesper is scared of helicopters but not planes

kaz has a secret fear of escalators so he always takes the stairs even though it actively causes him more pain

One day Kaz gets REALLY drunk. He just completely blacks out (maybe Inej is out of town and he’s in a mood, idk).

For some reason he chooses to go see Wylan and Jesper. When he gets inside Kaz immediately breaks down, crying.

He says “I’m so happy for you two for finally getting your shit together!!! I love you both so much and I will kill anyone for you (minus Inej).

[turns to Wy] Wylan, my baby, my son. You are a kid I found semi-randomly, but from the moment I met you I had already decided to adopt you!

ok so you know how certain cultures have very colorful traditional wear? I’m Indian, for example, so I’ll use that. When I wear traditional clothing, it’s always very bold, and the cloth will be like, cyan and red and fuchsia with a peacock feather pattern. But it’s cohesive somehow, and it works.

From what we’ve seen in the Shadow and Bone show, Zemeni clothing is also very vibrant in color or pattern or both. so when Jesper dresses the way he does, in the outrageous Barrel flash, maybe it’s because he’s used to such colorful fabrics, and that’s the best translation that he can have for what he might wear at home.
