The romance between Jesper and Alva was beautiful, can we admire that?? Jesper and Alva had a grudge against each other, but that didn't stop Jesper from sending kids to Alva, thinking (and actually helping) her benefit from it as a teacher.

She was mad about it, and it was very understandable. But it still helped her realize she still loved teaching. Jesper helped give her spark back for teaching, and that's where their friendship/romance begun.

Honestly to me, especially as a gay person, their romance didn't feel forced. I loved seeing Jesper with Alva (who I absolutely fucking LOVE by the way.)

The only problem I had with it (spoiler) was how in the future when Jesper said "she loves me," while narrating, it took me out of the story for a moment. We know they love each other, its obvious, and saying that took me out of the story since it was simply so obvious. That is really the only problem I have with it, and it's from a writer standpoint.

Their kids are adorable, and as much as I love JesperxKlaus, and Jesper xMogens as much as the next person (JesperxKlaus my second favourite) JesperXAlva will be my favourite ship in this movie. It felt natural, they took their time. Seeing a heterosexual romance becoming enemies to friends to lovers is so refreshing than immediately jumping to romance. I love this movie.
