it fucking kills me that i have seen NO ONE talking about the reaction jess jordan, kendall roy’s assistant, has. because it is jess, and rava and sophie roy, who have the reactions that twitter and reddit and all the succession lovers are looking for in shiv, for some goddamn reason. it’s jess who not so subtly pleads with greg to delay calling the election, who is blown off dismissively and ignorantly by greg who cannot understand or even SEE how strong of a panic reaction she is havjng. to him, and every other roy and tom and everyone else at their level, this is just another crazy day with literally zero consequences. a fascist dictator president will literally not change the quality of their lives as rich white people. but it will change jess’ life, as a biracial woman. it will change rava and sophie roy’s lives, in spite of kendall’s money and protection. and the show purposefully cuts off their reactions — jess blinking fast and breathing hard and about to have a panic attack meltdown in the hallway, rava and sophie scared in the back of an SUV — because the show isn’t about them. the show is about the roys, who do not care about the consequences of their actions, partially because they never have to SEE the consequences of their actions. greg does not see jess freaking out; even when she is clearly panicked in front of her he cannot see her pain and if he could, he wouldn’t care. it’s only when he turns his back on her that she starts to break down, which is a great if painful blocking choice. not only is it realistic — she can’t lose face in her workplace, she can’t react negatively when she works for the guy who owns the Devil Right Wing Fascist TV Network, and she most certainly can’t react any way people don’t like because she is one of the few, if not the only, black women in the building and working for the roys. while greg sighs and laughs about this day being crazy, she is having a meltdown as she fears what this election result means to her. if rava, a wealthy woman of color with a powerful ex husband, is scared, how much more scared is jess? is everyone else under jess?
but the show cuts off her reaction and takes us back to shiv because this show is from the roy’s pov, and this episode is largely from shiv’s pov. shiv “cares about democracy” and the country to an extent, because democracy only effects her to an extent. she knows on paper this election is bad news. she also knows it’s not going to change her life directly because she’s rich. like her brothers, who do not care at all who is President, who only care about which candidate will give them what they want, shiv is more upset because this election means she isn’t getting what she wants. she’s going to lose her power in the potential matsson deal. because that is how the roys chose who would be president: they chose the candidate they could buy and who could sell them control over their interests for the lowest number, and meincken outbid jimenez by a landslide. tldr the reaction people are looking for in shiv and in the roys were there, but in jess and rava. and even rava and jess aren’t progressives, aren’t “feminist icons”, they’re also complicit and victimized all at once, like shiv is, but with far less say and power. it’s almost like… the show about face eating leopards… is making a point that if you get in a cage with a hungry leopard, at some point you will run out of steaks to throw at it and it, too, will eat your face off. huh.

My Opinions on the England NT players
Luke Shaw -
literally looks like he’s 15 and 35 at the same time in some pictures. To this day I don’t know how old he actually is. Have not seen him play a single Man U match this season (i don’t like Man U so i don’t watch their matches but still). Does he still play football? I don’t know. Good goal against Italy so i have to give him some praise for that but i genuinely don’t know anything about him.
Mason Mount -
I cannot lie, I think I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. If love at first sight exists I think this is it. I would do anything for this man. He looks like he’d sit with you on a bench in your school gym and let you cry on his shoulder (defo not based on real life experiences). What more can I say about him? I would burn the world down for him and then jump off of a cliff if he asked me to. 10/10 especially after missing his pen in the FA cup final. He did that for me xx
Trent Alexander-Arnold -
Also the sexiest mf I’ve ever seen. Assist king. He seems like a bitch sometimes but I still love him. Does look like if you were nice to him he’d be nice back. Very proud of his achievements. Do just want to find him and give him a massive hug sometimes. I like the new haircut much more. It’s grown on me, he better not change it or some sorry words will be said. Hope he gets picked for the next England matches but I don’t want him to get injured because I’m not mentally stable enough to deal with that.
Tyrone Mings -
Literally the height of a fucking tree. He’d absolutely destroy me and my five foot two self with just a push. Quite scared of him but at the same time he looks like he’d invite me in for a cuppa and a few biscuits if I was walking past his house in the pouring rain. Probably has a kind soul but I wouldn’t want to get on the bad side of him.
Kyle Walker -
Kind of reminds me of a pigeon. I don’t know why, he just seems to have that familiar blank stare. Looks like he’d bark at you for stealing his sandwich in Tesco’s which he never actually bought. Do find him quite funny but that might just be when he’s with John. Overall I wouldn't particularly want to be besties with him.
Jesse Lingard -
Absolute icon. JLingz. Has the most adorable daughter, she’s so precious. Easily one of the funniest players in the game. I can already tell we’d be best friends. Especially love him after the reports that he got into a scrap with Hazza Maguire. Deserves the world. I hope I get to meet him one day.
Marcus Rashford -
Looks like a kind man. Don’t know if we’d get along because we’d fight over who’s Jesse’s better friend. Can already tell he’d try and make me a home-cooked meal if I ever said I was hungry. Would no doubt constantly try to give me food. I’d have to convince him he’s actually a good footballer because Ralf never plays him in matches. Looks like he’d get very emotional sometimes.
Jack Greasy…I mean Grealish -
Don’t like him because he’s a bit of a bellend but I have to admit he’s extremely funny. Doesn’t seem like he has a single brain cell left so it would probably be very difficult to have an actual conversation with him. I salute his girlfriend for putting up with him. I could probably drive better than him. I don’t have my driver’s licence.
Hazza Maguire -
Absolutely terrified of him. Would probably tell me to go back to my own country. If I saw him begin to walk towards me I’d run the other way. He’d try and fight me because I’d tell him he’s a shit footballer. Nothing more to say. Traumatises me just thinking about it.
Jude Bellingham -
Absolute sweetheart in my opinion. Looks like he’d protect you from all those creepy guys at a house party or club. Would definitely cover your drink if you had to go somewhere for a quick second. Seems like a lovely guy. Want to see more of his personality on the England youtube channel.
Jordan Pickford -
Hate him but at the same time I love him. He’s so funny and for what. Suddenly manages to bring out all the skills for England but he’s horrendous for Everton. Might just be because it’s Everton. I do want to punch him sometimes. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone from the team already has.
Phil Foden -
Looks like a prick. He always looks like he’s going to complain about something. Would not be able to stand the guy for a single second. He just looks annoying. I see him on my tv and immediately change the channel. Every time I see his face I want to punch it.
Jordan Henderson-
DILF. He is the definition of a gentleman. Looks like he’d hold the door open for you if he saw you walking down the corridor. Just seems like the best person to work with. Has an absolute heart of gold. Would sell my soul for him 100%. The best captain in the Premier League. In my opinion he should be captain of England but Gareth doesn’t like Liverpool players. I know he’d give me a whole motivational speech if I told him I was going to give up on my education. He’d 110% hold you in his arms while you cried for a whole hour.
Ben Chilwell -
Looks a bit like a Lego man. He has a very square head and I don’t know how to feel about it. He has some of the stupidest tattoos I’ve ever seen but in all fairness he’s a good player. Just don’t support some of the things he’s done (but I won’t go into that). Does look like a massive weirdo. Would probably be a bit scared of him when he’s drunk.
Raheem Sterling -
Runs a bit like a dinosaur. Very good player just don’t like the fact he left Liverpool for City. The only good thing about that is the fact that he’s managed to get a decent trim now. Arguably one of the best players in the England squad but i’m still holding a grudge against him.
Hazza Kane -
Looks like he might call me a racial slur. I would 100% be able to absolutely hammer him in a fight. Don’t really like him at all. How are you captain of your national team if you can’t even be captain of Spurs. SPURS. It’s just a bit embarrassing on his behalf.
Reece James -
As I said previously, he looks like he’d absolutely batter you in a fight but he’d also give you a really good hug if you were sad. Reminds me of a teddy bear. Seems like he’d have a bit of a short temper, but as long as you were his friend you wouldn’t be in danger. If you weren’t, good luck to you (RIP).
Jadon Sancho -
Proper joke man. Again, I’d be best friends with him because I think we have a very similar sense of humour. Would no doubt annoy every single member of the team. We’d be banned from seeing each other because we’re too annoying together. Is he okay? I haven’t seen him play in a long time.
Declan Rice -
My boyfriend’s best friend. We’d also be best friends. There are too many funny players in this squad, but this guy is my absolute favourite of them all. His rendition of ‘Ice, Ice, Baby’ brought tears to my eyes. Should be the new national anthem. Extremely happy he’s got a much better trim now. Does need a bit of a tan though, he looks ghostly white sometimes. He should ask Mason where the best tanning beds are.
Kalvin Phillips and Kieran Trippier -
Had to put these two together because I genuinely have no opinion of them. Literally who are they.
Bukayo Saka -
Looks like such a nice guy. The type of guy you’d bring home to meet your parents. Would offer you popcorn if he saw you around, and would always ask how you’re doing and actually mean it. Wins the award for ‘Nicest Guy’. Don’t understand how anyone could not like him. Would probably cry with you while you’re crying.
John Stones -
Perfect name for him tbh. Looks like he’s stoned half the time. He’d probably punch the Hazza’s for calling you a racial slur. Would be the best person to get drunk with, he’d probably try and give you (really bad) relationship advice and then convince you to sing Valerie by Amy Winehouse with him. Overall a decent guy, only downside is that he plays for City.

Thoughts on Today’s Episode
I am done with Trina and Joss. I want Trina with Spencer but her loyalty to Joss will destroyed everything she wants just like Carly did to Sonny and Jason and Lucky did to Elizabeth and Maxie.
Josslyn you know why Spencer hates Dex.
Anna is down 🫣
Where did Olivia and Elizabeth go?
Where is Drew still?
Glady is real stupid as Cody was with the other wands and Nina was with Maxie…
Milo and Maxie… Would have been a cute couple…
Esme with Ace is the only thing I like about her.
Hey, it’s Laura!
Where is the COS Terry?
Hey, it’s Robert!
Where is Alexis and Diane?
Victor and his plans is the best thing I love. Who going to be all the guests? I know Liesl is one and maybe Ace.
Where is Kristina?
Laura and Esme are having the same conversation again…
Spencer don’t apologize to Trina about Dex. Trina go have your conversation about entitled else well.
Mac to the rescue!
Can Victor or someone get rid of Josslyn!?
Jordan will be the hottest grandmother on GH.
Yasss, Lucy!
Cody is innocent for once.
Sonny for the save and Valentin feeling guilty.
Bobbie flashbacks! Hearing Hardy and Jesse, seeing Monica, Felicia, Elizabeth and Tracy! Oh my ♥️! We needed more of that.
Is my Spencer getting kidnapped again by a Cassadine? And Ace has join the ranks of Spencer, Lucky, Lulu, Laura, Robin, Jason, Drew, and Jake?
When I say the only iconic thing about this 60 anniversary is Lucy entering the Nurse Ball in style.
Music Act
Cody was not need in the act.
Petty Moment: hook killer should have killed Josslyn. I said what I said. She was only likeable to me because of Cameron.
Favourite Moment: Baby Ace is such a cutie! Bobbie is being honour.

I'm so happy that they are endgame and that Sasse avenge us but I still can't believe that after Montana (13x16) they didn't have a scene together until the finale (13x24) when April tells Maggie that Jackson somehow has feelings for her. Like, WTF was that? When did that happen? This two were living and raising a child together but suddenly they didn't even see each other at work or in their own house lmao
They were the last one standing, the last iconic couple of the old guard. In the first half of season 13 they even had a love theme like MerDer, they were (are) THAT big.
With JaprilTheSequel clearly they were supposed to get back together. They were supposed to heal together and forgive themselves. Jackson was angry, April leaving him for Jordan triggered his abandonment issues but he NEVER stopped loving her even after the divorce, even when he was so stubborn and didn't want to see it.
It was grief that broke them apart and the need to process it in a different way.
And then Harriet filled them with so much joy and love. April almost dies bringing her into this world and Jackson was so scared at the idea of losing her. That episode was Jackson's 9x24.
Japril were first and foremost soulmates, best friends, each other's person but KV treated them like strangers. For Jackson April was never casual sex or just some friend from work, that's delusional.
They were supposed to rise again, to turn that devastating loss into a story of finding love again. Love that never disappeared but that was buried under so much pain.
This could have been one of the most powerful storyline of the show but instead that train wreck of KV decided to spit on this legacy and even mock them with Mapril's wedding and I can't even explain the exorcism that took place with Jaggie.
And this woman for Jesse's goodbye wanted to bring April back pregnant with Matthew's baby. Can you believe the audacity?!
What she did to them is just so unprofessional, disrespectful and gross that after all this years I still can't wrap my mind around it.
But after 4 devastating years we won and I can't express how much I love and appreciate Sarah and Jesse for that. They love Japril and this fandom so much, they fought for their endgame and they won.

hiiii <3 big ask big answer is what i'm expecting would LOVE to know your top 5/faves across various media that are new(in release or just new to you) this year! so: shows, movies, games, books, songs/albums, new artists you've discovered etc
OMG AAAAA I LOVE THIS ASK
brief comment i wanted to make, but this was the year i finally took control of my mental health and went to go see someone about it so congratulations to me for finally breaking down the wall of "im fine" and allowing myself to admit that i could use some help. that aside, lets get into it! beware, possible spoilers
MOVIES
1. Nope (dir. Jordan Peele) - this movie surprised me so much and reflects a LOT of my views on performative/spectacle-like behavior in front of the Camera and the effects things like hollywood or social media could potentially have on people...not going to get into that but i just liked the movie alot okay
2. X (dir. Ti West) - love me some camp. love mia goth. i also really liked Pearl and cannot WAIT for MaXXXine, i am so ready
3. Cruel Intentions (dir. Roger Kumble) - i dont think 2022 was the first year i watched Cruel Intentions but everytime i watch it, it feels like something brand new...i am so compelled to read the book that its based on like seriously
4. Turning Red (dir. Domee Shi) - this is the only Disney movie that exists to me...the mother-daughter relationship portrayed here is just so personal
5. Kiki’s Delivery Service (dir. Hayao Miyazaki) - yeah im extremely late to watching this lol. i watched literally every other ghibli film growing up but somehow, in some way, skipped over Kiki. so i watched it over the summer as an adult and needless to say...yeah i missed out as a kid asjashd
6. American Psycho (dir. Mary Harron) - this is the funniest film ive seen this whole year. im not even kidding
TV SHOWS
1. Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul - never thought id enjoy a show about a middle-aged white male turning to meth production to make ends meet and becoming the most annoying character ever created, but here we are. loved it, and literally EVERYONE around walt deserved so much better (jesse, gus, johnny/saul, mike, skylar, marie, hank)
2. Ranma 1/2 - ive taken a break from watching new anime this year and started diving into older ones. i love ranma simply bc its a bit ahead of its time and is just so easy to digest. just a fun little show!!! a great way to take my mind off of shit
3. The Sandman - just found out recently that this was a DC comic so congrats to DC for successfully infiltrating my anti-superhero visual barrier LOL. anyways i am in dire NEED of the next season
4. You - PENN BADGLEY. thats all im going to say. im a huge fan of Gossip Girl (2007) and as soon as i saw him playing the lead character i RAN to watch the first season when it dropped. was not disappointed
5. The Witcher - ive never played the game lol but the show is so good...im not a fan of GoT (and therefore will never watch HotD) so this show p much fills the dark fantasy void for me
6. Bridgerton - im so glad i got over my weird distaste and finally gave this show a try...i see the hype, i see it!! and the show itself is so beautiful to look at, despite being historically innacurate or whatever
7. Gossip Girl (2007) - ive watched and rewatched this show a grand total of maybe like....20 times in my life total. rewatched it again this year. all six seasons. it never gets old despite being the most ridiculous insipid shit ever. im also currently watching the new version, and while i love the cast and maybe the soundtrack, it doesnt match up to the campy and fun vibe that the first one had. it takes itself way too seriously and the plot is almost nonexistent lol
but anyway, lets move on to music!! im skipping over books bc i have currently finished NONE from the book haul i had back in october.
MUSIC
just gonna list out a bunch of songs that have carried me thru the last half of this year :]
ass like that victoria monet / bang (my body) chase icon / meta angel fka twigs / wish i never kehlani / king for a day pierce the veil, kellin quinn / pass the nirvana pierce the veil / antagonist nova twins / gibson girl ethel cain / like a tattoo sade / the perfect pair beabadoobee / so it goes tamino / daybreak’s bell l’arc-en-ciel / colors flow / distant tevomxntana, cayo / grapefruit tove lo
sorry if this is extremely long. thanks for asking!!!!!! ❤️

EXORCISTIC: The Rock Musical at The Box New York City
Tumblr media
The new rock musical, EXORCISTIC presented by HRS Productions and Orgasmico Theatre will premier in NYC just in time for Halloween. The show will come to NYC for its limited viewing on October 8th through October 23rd at The Box. The unauthorized parody of The Exorcist was brought back by popular demand after their sold-out run at The Three Clubs in Los Angeles.
The musical parody brings about horror, hilarity, and the most powerhouse rock tunes you’ll see in a theater this year! The production brings to roaring life with iconic imagery and an explosive live band, the story of a movie star whose daughter becomes possessed and is helped by priests who try to save her.
Book, lyrics, and music by two-time Ovation Award winner Michael Shaw Fisher. Lindsay Heather Pearce (Wicked and RENT) will be featured in the opening cast. Emma Hunton (Freeform's Good Trouble, Wicked, and RENT) will also star, reprising her role from the LA production. The cast includes: The Summer Set's frontman Brian Logan Dales, Leigh Wolf (Exorcistic 2013), Jesse Merlin (For Love of the Glove, Re-Animator the Musical), Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray, Bupkis), Nick Bredosky (UMPO 10 Things I Hate About You) Kim Dalton (Cluelesque, Toil & Trouble) Mitchell Gerrard Johnson (A New Brain) Gabby Sanalitro (That 90’s Show) and Tyler Olshanksky.
Tumblr media
Emma Hunton as “The possessed girl” in new rock musical, EXORCISTIC
Exorcistic is a parody within a parody. The audience watches a struggling theater company make their way to Broadway by the second act, however, their lead, Emma Hunton has taken Method Acting a step too far and is replaced with a Broadway star. This role is a rotating rolodex of stars which you do not want to miss because it changes every night! Each night there will be a different special guest performer who will be played by: Marissa Rosen (For the Girls, Water for Elephants, Modern Love) Nick Cearly (The Skivvies, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown) Jillian Schiralli (CATS, now that’s what i call 90s) Gerard Canonico (Almost Famous, The Dude Ranch) Jordan Donica (Camelot, RENT, Hamilton) Jamie Cepero (SMASH, The Function) and more!
The Box is located at 189 Chrystie St, New York, NY 10002. The show will start promptly at 7:30 pm with the doors opening at 6:30 pm.
Tickets are now available and can be purchased here To view the trailer for EXORCISTIC, please click here

Sophie x Gideon
Henry x Charlotte
Cecily x Gabriel
The Last Hours
James x Cordelia
Lucie x Jesse
Matthew x James

I don't mind Cordelia x Lucie either but it's not so much as shipping as it is not not shipping. I just don't mind it.
The Mortal Instruments
Clace of course
Simon x Izzy

There are some ships I don't mind seeing but don't really ship. But for the most part, the above is it.
The Dark Artifices
Julian x Emma
Mark x Kieran x Christina
Kit x Ty
I havent actually finished this series, though I've skimmed through the last book for information on certain topics. I need to read the whole series again. It's been a while since I finished book 2.
Favorite Ships
Clace
Herondaisy
Malec
Sizzy
Julian x Emma
Herongraystairs
I tend to love the main ships the most because they give the most content. And I tend to prefer main characters so my heart is more attached to the main ships because it's more attached to the mains. And since The Mortal Instruments is the main TSC series, Clace, Sizzy, and Malec all hold a special place in my heart. Even if I mostly post about Clace over the other two. Clace is one of my all time favorite ships

Entrepreneurial Epics: Films That Chronicle the Journey of Visionaries
Tumblr media
In the world of cinema, entrepreneurs and their stories have often served as a source of inspiration, motivation, and entertainment. Movies have the unique ability to capture the essence of entrepreneurship, from the struggles and setbacks to the triumphs and innovations. Here, we delve into a selection of films that vividly portray the journeys of entrepreneurs, offering valuable insights into the world of business and ambition. One iconic film that stands out in the realm of entrepreneurship is "The Social Network" (2010). Directed by David Fincher, this movie chronicles the tumultuous creation of Facebook, the social media giant that transformed the way people connect and communicate. The film portrays the brilliant yet controversial Mark Zuckerberg, played by Jesse Eisenberg, as he navigates the complexities of entrepreneurship, facing lawsuits, betrayals, and ethical dilemmas along the way. "The Social Network" provides a gripping narrative that explores the high-stakes world of tech startups and the relationships that can make or break them. Another cinematic gem that delves into the world of entrepreneurship is "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006), directed by Gabriele Muccino. This heartwarming and inspirational film tells the true story of Chris Gardner, portrayed by Will Smith, a struggling salesman who faces homelessness while pursuing a career as a stockbroker. "The Pursuit of Happyness" showcases Gardner's unwavering determination, resilience, and the sacrifices he makes to achieve his entrepreneurial dreams. It serves as a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. Moving on to a different realm of entrepreneurship, "Julie & Julia" (2009), directed by Nora Ephron, intertwines the lives of two women separated by time but connected by their passion for cooking. Julia Child, played by Meryl Streep, is a renowned chef who introduced French cuisine to American households, while Julie Powell, portrayed by Amy Adams, is a modern-day blogger who embarks on a year-long journey to cook all the recipes in Child's cookbook. This film celebrates entrepreneurship in the form of culinary innovation and the transformative potential of following one's passion. In a more unconventional take on entrepreneurship, "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006), directed by David Frankel, explores the world of high fashion and magazine publishing. The film follows the life of Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, a young aspiring journalist who lands a job as the assistant to the formidable and demanding fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Meryl Streep. As Andy navigates the challenges of her high-pressure job, she learns valuable lessons about ambition, sacrifice, and the pursuit of success in the competitive fashion industry. Transitioning to a more light-hearted portrayal of entrepreneurship, "Chef" (2014), directed by Jon Favreau, tells the story of Carl Casper, played by Favreau himself, a talented chef who loses his job at a prestigious Los Angeles restaurant and embarks on a journey to reignite his passion for cooking by launching a food truck. This film captures the essence of culinary entrepreneurship, highlighting the role of social media in building a following and the joy of pursuing one's creative vision. Moving away from the culinary world, "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013), directed by Martin Scorsese, offers a darker and more cautionary tale of entrepreneurship. Based on the life of Jordan Belfort, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, the film depicts the rise and fall of a stockbroker who engages in unethical and illegal activities while amassing immense wealth. "The Wolf of Wall Street" serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of unchecked ambition and the importance of ethical business practices. Shifting gears to the world of tech startups, "Steve Jobs" (2015), directed by Danny Boyle, provides a character-driven exploration of the life and career of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, portrayed by Michael Fassbender. The film is structured around three key product launches in Jobs' career, offering a glimpse into his complex personality, visionary thinking, and the challenges he faced as an entrepreneur in the tech industry. It sheds light on the intersection of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In the realm of biographical entrepreneurship stories, "The Founder" (2016), directed by John Lee Hancock, tells the tale of Ray Kroc, portrayed by Michael Keaton, who transformed a small fast-food restaurant called McDonald's into a global empire. The film delves into the intricacies of franchising and the ethical dilemmas that can arise in the pursuit of business success. On a more whimsical note, "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" (1971), directed by Mel Stuart, presents a fantastical world of candy and imagination. While it may seem like a children's movie, it carries a subtle message about entrepreneurship through the eccentric character of Willy Wonka, played by Gene Wilder. Wonka's chocolate factory represents the embodiment of creative entrepreneurship, where innovation, risk-taking, and the pursuit of dreams converge. "Joy" (2015), directed by David O. Russell, offers a unique perspective on entrepreneurship through the story of Joy Mangano, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence. Joy is a determined inventor who creates the Miracle Mop and faces numerous challenges as she strives to bring her product to market. The film celebrates the resilience and tenacity of entrepreneurs, particularly women, in male-dominated industries. In the realm of animated entrepreneurship, "The LEGO Movie" (2014), directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, takes viewers on a whimsical journey through a world made of LEGO bricks. The film centers on Emmet Brickowski, voiced by Chris Pratt, an ordinary LEGO construction worker who becomes an unwitting hero in a battle against conformity and corporate control. "The LEGO Movie" playfully explores themes of creativity, individuality, and the potential for innovation even in the face of corporate structures. These films offer a diverse and captivating glimpse into the world of entrepreneurship, showcasing the trials, triumphs, and transformations that entrepreneurs undergo in their pursuit of success. Whether based on true stories or set in imaginative worlds, these movies provide valuable lessons and inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone fascinated by the entrepreneurial spirit. "Jersey Chronicles: Tales of Triumph and Defeat"
Sports jerseys are more than just a uniform worn by athletes or a symbol of fandom for supporters. They carry with them stories of triumph and defeat, of historic moments in sports history that have been forever etched into the fabric of the jersey. In this article, we will explore some of the most iconic moments in sports history, as told through the jerseys worn by the athletes who made them.
The first story we will explore is that of Michael Jordan and his famous "flu game" in the 1997 NBA Finals. In Game 5 of the series between the Chicago Bulls and the Utah Jazz, Jordan was suffering from flu-like symptoms and was visibly weakened on the court. Despite his illness, Jordan persevered and led the Bulls to a crucial victory, scoring 38 points and securing his fifth NBA championship. Jordan's jersey from that game has become an iconic piece of sports memorabilia, symbolizing his incredible toughness and determination.
Another iconic jersey that carries with it a tale of triumph is the one worn by Jesse Owens at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Owens, an African American athlete, competed in a hostile environment dominated by Nazi propaganda and racial prejudice. Despite the odds against him, Owens won four gold medals, setting world records in the process and becoming a symbol of defiance against the Nazi regime. His jersey from those historic games is a reminder of the power of sports to transcend politics and unite people around a common goal.
On the other hand, some jerseys carry with them the memory of defeat and heartbreak. One such jersey is that of Bill Buckner, the Boston Red Sox player who famously made an error in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series against the New York Mets. Buckner's error allowed the Mets to score the winning run, depriving the Red Sox of their first World Series title in 68 years. Buckner's jersey from that game is a haunting reminder of the "curse of the Bambino" that plagued the Red Sox for decades and the agony of defeat that can come with sports.
Another jersey that represents the pain of defeat is that of Roberto Baggio, the Italian football star who missed a crucial penalty kick in the 1994 World Cup final against Brazil. Baggio's miss cost Italy the chance to win their first World Cup since 1982 and left him devastated on the pitch. His jersey from that game is a symbol of the fine line between victory and defeat in sports, and the weight of expectation that can crush even the most talented athletes.
Beyond these individual moments of triumph and defeat, sports jerseys also carry with them the collective memories of teams and fanbases. The jerseys worn by the 1992 US men's basketball team, also known as the "Dream Team," are a reminder of the dominance of American basketball and the incredible talent that was assembled for that Olympic squad. Similarly, the green and gold jerseys of the Green Bay Packers are a symbol of the team's storied history and the unwavering support of their dedicated fanbase.
In conclusion, sports jerseys are more than just pieces of fabric worn by athletes or sold to fans. They carry with them the stories of triumph and defeat, of historic moments that have defined sports history. From Michael Jordan's "flu game" to Jesse Owens' defiance in Berlin, these jerseys represent the best and worst of sports, reminding us of the power of athletics to inspire and unite people around the world.
