As much as I loved this ship before the show came out I quickly started hating it.

Ulf is such a bitch and she doesn’t deserve Burgertron, when he broke the sacred rule she didn’t even try to defend him I thought you were his girlfriend? You can’t stick up for yo man?! She really said fuck it and walked off with Spud Muffin like an absolute bitch. Then we have the bot prom scene as shown above, she acted like she wanted him back, everything all nice and romantic then like 5 minutes later she pretty much treats him like shit and shuns him like the rest of the bots. This is a toxic relationship and my son Burgertron can do way better.

Do NOT download 'Threads'

This is mostly a warning to anyone who uses Facebook, Instagram, or both, but I encourage everyone on the internet regardless of Social Media preferences such as Tumblr or DeviantART to NOT download the new app "Threads" period, here's why:

TL;DR: "Threads" acts like a good alternative to Twitter, but it's actually a huge invasion of your privacy, it reveals people's real names, goes into your docs and credit scores, reads your private messages, tracks your location, etc, etc, and politically it's heavily right wing.

And sadly, if you do download this app, the only way to get rid of it is to delete your other accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc), so please don't download "Threads", it's just not worth it.

I already had to warn my Dad and little Sister this since they use Facebook(albiet not much).

Jessie Gender did a very thorough 45 minute critique of how the natla team did not understand or bother to engage with literally any of the original show’s main themes around imperialism and cycles of violence and everything else that gave the original show meaning, very very worth the watch (definitely better than actually watching natla).

Honestly given how dogshit this adaptation is, IF they actually bother to do two more seasons I would bet money on them butchering the story even further. This gross misinterpretation of the original that glorifies strength and violence would probably end with Aang actually killing Ozai.

Seeing kinitopet fanart is so cool and creative but seeing those humanized fanarts or art when it’s more anthro but just wearing a suit or smthn really pushes the narrative you guys can’t appreciate a character unless it’s well dressed and sexified. eeeee!!!! here's a scene i love with eddie and robin:

Eddie watches as Robin paints his nails, balancing the polish on her knee. She nearly drops it onto the comforter a few times.

“So. Do I get the full story now?” Eddie asks, aiming for casual. Robin looks up at him, confused. “How you and Steve… became you and Steve, you know?”

“Oh.” Robin nods. She carries on with her painting. “We worked together at the mall last summer. You remember Scoops Ahoy?”

Eddie snorts. “I remember the dumb little work uniforms the people who work there had to…” He trails off, grinning. “Robin Buckley, did you and Steve Harrington have to dress up as sailors?”

“Yup.” Robin says, popping the p. “Steve wore a hat, too.”

“Please tell me you have photographic evidence of this.”

He doesn’t expect a response to that, but Robin finishes up his left hand (she was right, the dark blue does look cool) and reaches over for her backpack. She pulls out her wallet and opens it, and a row of plastic-covered photos fall out. She scoots next to Eddie and hands it to him, pointing at a photograph in the middle. Robin and Steve are stood against a counter, both in their uniforms, grimacing. Steve is wearing the hat, and he’s holding up an ice-cream scoop. Slightly out of focus is Dustin, doubled over laughing.

“Dustin’s mom took the picture. He kept the one where he’s actually stood next to us, I asked for the reject.” She smiles warmly as she looks down at it.

Eddie scans over the rest of the photos, whistling. “I didn’t peg you as the sentimental type, Buckley.”

“Yeah, yeah, it’s all Harrington’s fault. He bought me the wallet for my birthday, complete with this photo.” She points to the very first image, a photo of her and Steve outside Family Video. Steve is grinning, his eyes closed, and Robin is rolling her eyes. It’s very cute. “You should see his wallet, dude. He’d love to have an excuse to show off his kids.”

Eddie feels something in his chest, tight and uncomfortable. “Total dad.”

“Total dad.” Robin agrees. She hums, tapping at one of the empty spaces. “We’ll have to get a picture together when you’re feeling better. Not that you don’t look great now.”

Eddie laughs, looking down at his bandages. “Right. I didn’t realise I was wallet worthy.”

“Eddie.” Robin says softly. He can’t look at her. “I’d like to think that even if we hadn’t been through, you know, literal hell together… we’d still be friends. Birds of a feather, right?”

Eddie looks up at her, at her kind face, her understanding eyes, and it clicks. He’d suspected, of course he had, with the way she carries herself, the glances she sneaks in Nancy’s direction, the way she can’t sit in a chair properly to save her life. The Steve of it all. Platonic with a capital P.

He wonders if Steve is a part of their flock.
