just finished the final chapters of hell's paradise. that shit hurted, man. but also the overall story and the ending were much much happier than i expected it to be! i felt like while there were moments that hurt, the story wasn't out to hurt me (which was a little bit surprising (in a good way) because i thought the manga was going to be much darker). the plot/the lore/the worldbuilding weren't something crazy, it was all fairly simple, but the story's main focus very obviously wasn't the main plot but the characters. the artstyle was very beautiful, too. i really liked the boobies how naked bodies actually felt 'fleshy'. anyway. good read, would recommend.

p.s. i wonder where s1 on the anime will end. on the backup team's arrival?

p.p.s. yuzuriha and sagiri are girlfriends. ok?

It was a chilly Tuesday night, and Toma wasn’t having any of this shit.

Beside him, the six-legged creature flailed uselessly on its back against the grainy sand as it attempted to fight an ant, the bright sun of April bouncing off of the crustacean’s shell.

The miserable yellow crab, whose body his older brother Chobei currently occupied.

“Just let me help you, brother! As adaptable as you are, moving in a crab’s body is too much.” This was probably the sixth time he’s said that.

“No! Fuck—stop coming near me, you fucking ant! Why can’t I move my arms like I want to?”

Oh, this was getting even worse. Chobei wasn’t even being cooperative now, even though their perfect cooperativeness and synchrony with each other was what made them so special and reign above all else, an important part of their identities.
