When I say Men in Black. It means this kind of black 🖤🖤🖤
Healer - 힐러
It’s so hard to compete with Healer but City Hunter is a good choice.
I watched City Hunter way before Healer. It’s fun, sort of cheesy and has a lot of the traditional k-drama tropes. It’s got that funny thing where the disguise he wears is really not a disguise at all and yet, no one has any idea who he is (like superman). I really liked it at the time, but I will say that he’s not nearly as sweet and funny and romantic like Healer, and I kinda thought he was a bit mean to Park Min Young’s character sometimes.
It’s a good choice if you want something similar. And I do think Healer was inspired a little bit by City Hunter even if the romance isn’t as good. Then again, they are a cute couple and it’s fun to look at 10 year old k-drama hairstyles :P
Long story short? You’ll probably enjoy it!
Ji Chang appreciation post.
I wish there was a Healer Season 2!
Actually I don’t because it’s lovely the way it is :)
This ask is so funny to me because I’ve watched healer 3.5 times. That’s a lot of times. I should be able to answer these questions, and yet I can’t remember? It’s a fact that I love watching Healer. It’s also a fact that by episode 13 I fast forward ALL of the plot except for ji chang wook and park min young scenes, so there’s where my memory hole might be :D
I do remember her meeting her mom and I got the impression that they both acknowledged their relationship, or at the very least would do that slowly as they spent quality time together. But the kidnapping? I’m drawing a blank…is it when he visits the villain at the bar and gets drugged? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’ve never thought Healer was open-ended but it’s plot isn’t perfect; I give it a 7/10 for plot and a 20/10 for the couple and my nostalgia, so they might have left some loose ends.
Now that everyone knows about my terrible memory, feel free to comment the answers for @hestiaolympus8 while i look at this gif for the next minute:
