Shohei:

Treats JiHo like a little sister

They aren't insanely close like her relationship with Doyoung or even Yuta, but they are very comfortable in each others presence

During 'Welcome to NCT Universe' Shohei mentioned that he already talked to JiHo a lot in passing and that they're only grown closer as time goes by

He doesn't have to feel guarded around her and he melts knowing that it's the same for JiHo

He feels the urge to take care of JiHo, but he knows that isn't his place as she already has a few members she confides in that are very protective of her and very caring towards her

The best way to describe them is just a couple of pals

Eunseok:

Looks up to JiHo a lot technically down cuz he toll and she smoll (she isn't his main role model, but she's a senior he feels he could learn a lot from)

He just admires her hard work, skill and strong mind

Which is also why he was the most awkward around her

It wasn't that bad, but he wouldn't spontaneously start a conversation with her

JiHo didn't actually notice this though since she's always the one engaging in conversation first, he kinda just went along with it and his nerves didn't show that much

During the first episodes of 'Welcome to NCT Universe' he seemed to be avoiding eye contact with JiHo and doesn't talk to her much, but after she girlbossed her way through that haunted house he instantly because a lot less guarded around her

He was so amazed by how well she did in the haunted house and since he was the first in his group to enter and also not scared he just felt so giddy talking about the experience with her

JiHo didn't show how happy she was that from that point on Eunseok's walls were completely down around her, but it meant a lot to her -> she didn't want to pressure him or make him feel awkward by pointing it out

They're still not close friends and Eunseok can sometimes still be awkward around her, but their relationship is definitely on the positive side of the spectrum

Seunghan:

Naturally with him being the youngest (and even younger than Jisung) she immediately had a soft spot for him

The first time JiHo and Seunghan were seen on the same screen during 'Welcome to NCT Universe' the members noticed how the two became a lot more smiley when they met eyes

JiHo, not being shy in front of the camera, openly talked about how much she liked the rookies and joked that they were her babies (mainly to get a jealous reaction out of her members)

Seunghan instantly became more shy again, but when JiHo returned later to join the members for more of the episodes Seunghan revealed he was happy that JiHo was there because he finds her presence comforting

He said that she was like a(n older) sister to him

Later in that day while the other members were doing something else he asked JiHo if he overstep any boundaries with his comment and JiHo reassured him that it was fine and that she was glad he looked at her in that light

They also later on clarified that they weren't as close as they looked, but that they probably would get close very quickly if they get more chances to work together in the future

Just Sibling Line Things (Yangyang x JiHo x Renjun)

Fights

You might be surprised but they have had more fights than you'd expect

(We're talking mostly Yangyang&JiHo and Renjun&JiHo seperatly)

It's often about the most trivial of things

Some examples: remembering details incorrectly, not agreeing on what to do or where to eat, literally any small insignificant thing

Whenever another member intervenes though, 9/10 times they stop fighting and tell the member it "wasn't a big deal" (Kun and Mark get so much headaches because of them)

The other 1/10 is when things don't immediately resolve, but it will soon enough

Rarely do any of these fights become too serious though

Bar that one time that Yangyang caught JiHo on a bad day and their dumb fight (that Yangyang started just to annoy JiHo and entertain himself) turned into a yelling match and eventually JiHo burst out in frustrated tears and the boy's heart shattered

Kun told Yangyang to take a breather, and after he left Xiaojun to comfort JiHo, the leader had to go check up on Yangyang with Hendery because the poor boy was beating himself up for taking the fight too far

(they resolved everything though, don't worry ^^)

They're also best friends

Maybe it's because of the fighting, but those two boys are JiHo's best friends

Like she's been through all the emotions with them and still likes to hang out with them cute

You can barely count the times other members have said "Again?" after JiHo telling them she was hanging out with the two

During JiHo's hiatus, she was with those two the most

Sometimes with only one of the boys, sometimes the three of them together

Whenever they are together, they're always doing stuff the three of them like

Going out to cafes, eating, talking. LOTS of talking

Leaving the games and sports for when Renjun isn't there, and the art for when Yangyang isn't there

Partners in crime

They like to annoy WayV in every shape or form possible

If you've ever seen Yangyang annoy his Wayv members (and I'm sure you have), imagine that but amplified

"They're little devils who look cute on the outside" - a quote by Ten

Out of the three JiHo has the best morals when it comes to that though, so she'll never push the members too much, but she won't directly intervene and just laugh while watching Yangyang and Renjun do their thing

Deep conversations

When their energy has drained at the end of the day, these three will have the deepest conversations about the weirdest things

"Do you think animals can actually understand what we're saying? Like not just commands, but would they know what we're talking about right now?"

"What would you do if you became immortal?"

"What if one of the members is an alien? What if I'm an alien?! And I just don't know..."

Their conversations usually ends in "can we stop talking, I'm getting an headache from thinking too much."

During those times is also when they speak about their troubles and feelings and for some reason Yangyang and Renjun find it so easy to let go and talk about those kinds of things when JiHo is around

JiHo wouldn't admit it, but she could trust those two with serious troubles she's feeling

Once it passes a certain threshold of seriousness Yangyang knows that the things she shares aren't allowed to leave their little circle, he can just feel it and he'll make sure he never let's a word slip

JiHo's the boys hype man

Whatever the boys want to do, JiHo is behind them and cheering them on

Yangyang will sometimes share written raps with JiHo because even if he doesn't want to voice it, he feels validated if JiHo tells him she likes it

Same goes for Renjun, he'll talk about a song he wants to cover and JiHo urges him to sing a bit for her. He feels so good when JiHo gives him an applause after he finishes

Of course compliments don't come out without a playful comment, you know, to "cover up the sappiness"

JiHo doesn't really share stuff like lyrics with them though, she also doesn't sing or rap in front of the boys, but whenever she does the boys will cheer her on as well

Prank calls

These three will prank call each other

Just calling them and not saying anything, or not making any sense until they burst out laughing

It's not even funny, and it's overdone, but they can just imagine each other's faces and how done they must be with each other

But they'll still continue doing it

They also face time each other for hours~~

A group face time too

Like they're getting ready to go to bed and they're just calling to have each other as back ground noise

It's actually really cute, but it's a pretty rare thing

Some quick things/facts to end this

Renjun has some spare clothes at JiHo's apartment since he slept over the most

Out of all of WayV Yangyang knows JiHo the best and he often surprises WayV because of that

Example: "Since JiHo's coming over we should get extra JJamppong for her." "She actually prefers jajangmyeon." Cue the members looking at Yangyang surprised

Yangyang bought JiHo a skateboard

Renjun likes buying JiHo cute random things like keychains or phone cases whenever he sees something cute when he's shopping for himself

They have once CONSIDERED getting matching shoes, or hoodies or phone cases, but when in the end realised how cringy they found that idea and immediately dropped it

Most of WayV don't allow the three of them in their rooms (they stay as far away as possible from them)

JiHo can and WILL steal the boys' oversized sweaters when she hangs out at their dorms

The type of best friends who can spend so much time apart but still be just as close when they get back together

JiHo has their favourite snacks at her apartment but will deny that she bought them for them

Yangyang doesn't come over as often

JiHo prefers to go over to WayV's dorm anyway

Yangyang and JiHo also game a lot together (maybe not as much as she does with Chenle though)

Relationship with: NCT’s families

This will include most, but not all boy’s families. If they aren’t included JiHo has not been introduced to the families/doesn’t interact with them.

Johnny:

They met JiHo along with the other boys during the 2019 NCT 127 tour

Like many of the NCT moms, Johnny’s mom was a bit sceptical about JiHo (a girl) joining a boy’s group with her son (a boy) (¬‿¬)

But Johnny definitely did a good word for JiHo because the moment she stepped foot inside his house Johnny’s mom, along with his other family and their friends, were super welcoming

There’s a lot of JiHo fans in Johnny’s family

It’s because JiHo’s very sociable and such an interesting being that many of Johnny’s family gravitated towards her

Though Johnny’s dad seems indifferent, he finds JiHo a very sweet girl

Apart from the indirect check in with JiHo (often by asking Johnny while they are calling him) once or twice a year, there is not a lot of interaction between JiHo and Johnny’s family

They did check in more often (again through Johnny) during JiHo’s 2021 hiatus

Doyoung:

As Doyoung’s unofficial sister she’s really close to his family

She’s closest with Gong Myoung (Doyoung’s brother)

She met Gong Myoung first, and he used to tease Doyoung about JiHo a lot because Doyoung treats her like his little sister

She wouldn’t really hang out with him without Doyoung though

However since 2020 she’d meet him once in a blue moon and they’d usually just grab dinner

In 2021 JiHo really got close to Gong Myoung during her hiatus

Whenever she didn’t want/couldn’t be around the boys she’d hang out with Gong Myoung (he was actually the one to check up on her first per Doyoung’s request, but every time after that it was on his own will)

He’d invite her over to his house, where he stays with his parents, and that’s where JiHo got closer to his parents

She already knew them, because Doyoung invited her for dinner maybe a handful of times over the past years, but during her hiatus she visited quite often

The boys’ mother adores JiHo as if she was her own daughter

But she’s a bit careful about smothering her with love, though she made it clear that she’s welcome in her house anytime

Gong Myoung also loves her a lot because whenever she comes over she likes to share embarrassing stories about Doyoung

Doyoung’s family is super welcoming to JiHo but they don’t push her to come over or hang out because they want her to prioritise her relationship with her own family in France

Yuta:

Yuta’s family loves JiHo as well

They are very similar to Doyoung’s family in a sense that they are very welcoming and they love to talk to JiHo

However JiHo feels a bit awkward with them, because she feels pressure about being a good Japanese person since she’s half Japanese

Yuta’s family couldn’t care less and think JiHo’s good enough the way she is

But it’s just something that clouds JiHo’s mind every time she talks to Yuta’s family which causes her to be a bit self-conscious （*゜ー゜*）

(PS. I know Yuta is older than Doyoung, but I wrote Doyoung’s thingy first and I make call backs to Doyoung’s one in this one, so I can’t place this above Doyoung’s one because it wouldn’t make much sense)

Jaehyun:

JiHo spent Chuseok holiday with them once and Jaehyun’s family really liked her a lot

She hung out with Jaehyun the most during that time so she didn’t really “hang out” with his family that much

They all think JiHo is very sweet though and she was very respectful towards everyone

But after that she hasn’t really talked to them much

Besides maybe saying “hi” when Jaehyun was on the phone with them, there is little to no interaction

They will sent an extra snack or some food to JiHo whenever sending Jaehyun something

Jungwoo:

JiHo has “formally” met Jungwoo’s family once

It was when they stopped by to visit Jungwoo and they got some lunch because JiHo was left in the dorms alone

Whenever Jungwoo is on the phone with his mom, she always asks about JiHo because she thinks she’s adorable~ (it’s probably something in Jungwoo’s family because Jungwoo finds JiHo adorable too)

Jungwoo’s mom’s face always lights up whenever JiHo pops up on facetime behind Jungwoo

She kind of steals her attention away from Jungwoo and maybe Jungwoo is jealous, but he also thinks it’s cute how much his mom likes JiHo

Jeno:

Ever since JiHo started gaming with him and Jeno’s mother wants to scold him about gaming too much, he’ll drag JiHo under the bus to minimize the nagging

Another one where in his family dynamic JiHo is like an actual sister

But in all actuality JiHo really doesn’t know his family that well

Jeno just talks about her sometimes to his family and he does it so casually that it just feels like JiHo is part of the family for them too, yet they haven’t even had dinner once

His older sister doesn’t really care that much that Jeno sometimes forgets that JiHo isn’t his real sister and she is

Because it’s only every so often JiHo is the main topic of conversation

Jeno’s family know JiHo better than JiHo knows his family

Haechan:

Maybe, maybe, one of his younger brothers once said that JiHo was their favourite NCT member/idol in general and maybe that caused Haechan to put a stop on his family (his brothers in particular) to ever meet JiHo

To be completely honest, Haechan’s family really hasn’t officially met JiHo

They have shared greetings before, but she rarely comes up in conversation between Haechan and his family

Though, one noteworthy mention of JiHo with Haechan’s family is back when Haechan got hurt at the end of 2018

Back then Haechan was still “getting used” to JiHo (a girl) being in the group with him

However she showed him a lot of care and concern for his injury and recovery and that’s when he brought it up to his mom

His mom of course teased him quite a bit about it and about JiHo in general, but at the same time she was really grateful for JiHo and that Haechan and the other boys had someone with a careful feminine touch to take care of them~

Shotaro, Sungchan, Chenle, Jisung:

These four also talk a lot about JiHo to their families

The only difference between the three is that Chenle’s family knows JiHo well because she hangs out at his house every so often and most of the time she talks to them more than she talks to Chenle

But yeah, these boys talk more about JiHo to their family than they even realise

Whenever JiHo did something that amazed them or a funny moment happened they’ll tell every thing that happened in detail to their families

Their families think it’s very cute how excited they sometimes get, talking about JiHo, so they are very happy JiHo is in the same group as their boys

It’s also no secret that JiHo loves the maknae line (01′ line & 02′ line + Shotaro) the most, so the boy’s families know that they are in good hands

Also JiHo would actually fight someone for these boys so they are actually safe with her

Bonus:

Winwin is the only person in WayV who’s family has met JiHo in person

One of Hendery’s sisters is a fan of JiHo (not like a super fan, but she does think JiHo is really cool)

Hendery’s sisters might have teased Hendery about (his crush on) JiHo

Taeyong and Johnny are the only people who’ve had a full conversation with JiHo’s mother over videocall

JiHo’s mother is a fan of Taeyong, Yuta and Jaehyun and has a signed album from those three (JiHo was very annoyed when asking them to sign the album for her mother because that’s when she found out she wasn’t her mother’s favourite NCT member)

Chenle’s mother and aunt have taken multiple selfies with JiHo

Chenle’s uncle and the uncle’s wife have played a lot of Battleground with JiHo and Chenle (sometimes even without Chenle)

JiHo and Daegal are best friends ^^

Speaking of pets: Leon likes JiHo, Louis is a bit more distant, but since JiHo came over a lot in 2021 Louis has definitely warmed up to her a lot. Bella adores JiHo

Doyoung has a family photo with JiHo in his parents’ house (it’s not a professional photo, nor is it big, but it sits on top of the dresser in his parents’ bedroom)

Though Taeil’s parents really don’t know JiHo that well, they told Taeil that it was his “duty to take care of JiHo” as the oldest of the group. Same goes for Taeyong and his sister, saying because he is the leader; they both do their jobs of taking care of JiHo pretty well~

JiHo has all of Doyoung’s direct family (brother & parents) phone number’s. She’s saved as “Doyoung’s cute sister” in his mom’s phone

Doyoung’s parents know JiHo’s parents

How Haechan And JiHo’s Friendship Evolved Over The Years [Part 1]

[2015 | First Meeting | SM Artist Lounge, 2nd floor]

“Is this really necessary?” Jiho groaned whilst getting pushed out of the elevator by Doyoung. “Didn’t you say you don’t have many friends?” “I said in school! I don’t have many friends in school!” Jiho explained agitated. “It doesn’t matter, it’s too late to turn around.”

Doyoung then pushed open the door to SM’s private lounge where 4 boys sat talking to each other on the big couch. “Kids! This is Jiho, she’s also a 00 liner.” The four boys looked up to see Doyoung holding a girl in front of him by her shoulders. They quickly greeted the pair and then expectantly looked at Jiho for her to talk.

“My Korean... uhm, not so good.” She held her hands up in a cross while butchering her Korean pronunciation. The four boys - Mark, Donghyuck, Jeno and Jaemin - smiled awkwardly at her nodding their heads.

Before Mark could say: “It’s okay. Don’t worry.” Doyoung pushed the girl by her shoulder causing her to laugh. “Yah! Why are you like this?” Jiho looked up once more and bowed towards the four confused boys. “I was just kidding. Hi, I’m Jiho. Nice to meet you guys.” She waved and showed the boys a genuine smile which they quickly returned. The boys were relieved and laughing at the girl’s little joke.

“I thought it would be nice for you guys to get to know each other. Jiho’s pretty new and she has a hard time befriending the other girl trainees.” Jiho raised her brow listening to Doyoung’s explanation. “I don’t think that’s necessarily true but-” “If you see her around, don’t be afraid to say hi to her. She’s really nice. Most of the time.” Doyoung mumbled the last sentence this time earning a judging look from the younger girl.

Mark then stood up, motioning for the others to do so as well. “We actually have to go to practise right now, but we’d love to hang out in the future.” Mark said and Jiho nodded with a smile. “That’s fine, I’ll see you around.” She waved while the boys walked off.

Doyoung then quickly nudged the girl, urging her to tell the boys the thing she told Doyoung earlier. “Uh- Wait!” The four boys turned around to see Jiho push Doyoung’s elbow away from her side. “I actually saw you guys practise and you’re all really good dancers...” She mumbled, her fingers curling into her palms. Doyoung one again poked the girl’s side. “Also Donghyuck-ssi, I really like your voice. You’re a great singer.” She smiled and looked up to meet the boy’s gaze. His cheeks slightly flared up and he bowed his head, muttering a small thanks before they all left the room.

Jiho glared at the older boy who seemed very proud of himself. “Thanks. Now things are going to be very awkward thanks to you.” “Ah~ No problem, loved to help you.”

[2016 | Snack Shuttle | SM Practise Room ]

“When you said you’d find a way to hang out more during your busy schedule, I didn’t know I’d become your personal snack shuttle.” Doyoung walked into the practise room with a complaining Jiho by his side, holding a few white plastic bags. “I thought you wanted to hang out more?” “If this is what ‘hanging out’ is than I don’t think I’m that interested anymore.”

Johnny’s chuckles filled the room and everyone looked at him. “You start to sound like actual siblings more each time I see you together.” Doyoung and Jiho then shared a look of disgust before turning back to sorting the snacks.

“Oppa told me what all of you guys liked so I brought something for everyone.” The boy’s eyes lit up as they thanked Jiho and ran towards her and Doyoung who were still holding on to the bags.

After giving everyone what they wanted Jiho held up one more item in her hand. “Did someone ask for this snack?” Jiho asked the room holding the bag of chips up high. Doyoung took a closer look, inspecting the bag but shook his head just like the rest of the room. “I didn’t, but I know Haechan likes these.” Jiho’s eyes locked with Haechan and she held the bag out for him to take. “Jiho I thought you liked those too.” Doyoung added quickly, earning a shrug from the girl.

“Want these?” She asked the same aged boy who’s eyes had widened a bit. “You don’t have anything for yourself though, you can keep them.” Haechan carefully said but the girl just shook her head and pushed the snack into Haechan’s hands. “I have a weigh-in in 2 days. So I’ll pass this time.” A fake smile found its place on her lips and Yuta stood up to wrap an arm around her shoulders. “You’re literally tiny, why should you worry about that?” “The world is a cruel place oppa.” She sighed to which he chuckled.

Mark quickly slid his way over to Haechan and nudged the boy a few times. “How are you still this awkward around Jiho?” The older of the two stifled a laugh. “Hyung~” Haechan whined. “It’s not like that.” He added with a grumble. “Okay buddy, whatever you say.”

[2017 | Dinner Buddies | SM cafeteria]

On his way to the table where his hyungs were already eating, Haechan stopped to watch a scene unfold in front of him.

The doors to the elevator had just opened revealing a dishevelled Jiho, still wearing her school uniform, stumble into the hallway of the cafeteria. Just as she entered she spotted the other trainees walk past her. “Hey!” She held up her hand smiling towards the girls, they all stopped hesitantly and Haechan couldn’t help but catch the way some of them rolled their eyes.

“Are you already leaving? I thought we’d eat together?” Jiho smile was still plastered on her lips, seeming oblivious to the cold looks she was getting. “We already finished, you can go eat alone. See ya~” One of the older girls smirked waving at Jiho and the other girls quickly followed before they all walked away.

A deep sigh left the Jiho’s lips and her head and shoulders dropped significantly. However when two feet walked into her vision she perked up and found Haechan looking at her with a sad smile. “You saw that right?” She chuckled, trying to hide her embarrassment and he only nodded. “I guess I’ll just head out now and don’t worry, I’m used to it. That one girl really doesn’t like me.” She tried to laugh off and then turned to leave the cafeteria.

Haechan stopped her. “You haven’t eaten yet though. Come sit with us. Me and the hyungs just got here.” Jiho smiled at the offer and quickly accepted. With how hungry she was feeling she didn’t feel like taking the bus back home for 15 minutes before she could actually eat.

Not even a few moments later Haechan arrived back at the table his members were sitting, but to their surprise he was joined by the young trainee. “Jiho? What are you doing here?” Taeyong asked. “I got ditched by the other girls.” She explained and the group quickly invited her to sit down with them.

The youngest boy sat down in his original spot next to Mark and in front of Johnny and Jaehyun who all sent him teasing looks. “What?” He raised an eyebrow at the boys. “Seems like you and Jiho are getting closer.” Jaehyun hummed. “Yeah, you seemed to be having a fun conversation before you got here.” Mark mentioned, thinking of how Haechan and Jiho were laughing at something when they walked up to the table. “You guys are so annoying.” Haechan mumbled, shoving a spoonful of rice into his mouth.

Haechan dragged his feet down the hallway of the almost empty floor. It was the beginning of January so not a lot of people were working, and definitely not a lot of artist. This resulted in the, mainly artist floor to be as good as abandoned.

The poor boy was “tasked” by Mark to get him one of his notebooks which he had forgotten during his writing session with Jeno. Haechan really didn’t have to go right now, but he insisted since it meant Mark would have to buy him dinner. Yet here Haechan was, slouching and dragging his body to the right room as if he was forced against his will.

Upon opening the door he heard a soft giggle. “Oh, I’m sorry- Jiho?” He peeked his head inside finding Jiho sat at one of the tables with her phone in hand. She had her jacket tightly wrapped around her shoulders and her nose and cheeks seemed to glow the slightest tint of red. The heater in the room wasn’t on so it was freezing cold. “What are you doing here?”

Jiho looked up at the boy but the second she locked eyes with his she almost burst out laughing. “You make a better girl than I do.” She said, forcing herself to stop laughing. “What are you talking about?”

Curious about what Jiho meant he circled around the other tables so he could look over to what she was watching on her phone. “Ten oppa sent this to me.” She tilted her phone towards Haechan only for him to get hit by memories. He didn’t expect to get confronted by that red polka dot dress and long brown wig again. “OH MY GOD! Please stop watching that!” He reached for her phone and quickly turned the video off while Jiho was freely laughing.

Once the boy was calmed down he let himself fall onto the chair next to Jiho. “This is so embarrassing” He muttered into his arms, in which he was hiding his face. Jiho reached out her hand to pat the boy’s back.

“Don’t worry about it. People say I dress more like a boy, so there’s nothing wrong with wearing a dress when you’re not a girl.” She smiled. Haechan looked up, hoping that Jiho was being serious, but when he saw her trying to hide a smirk he groaned. “For real, you didn’t look too bad, if I do say so myself.”

This caused Haechan to look up and smile as well. “Yeah, I looked pretty good right?” He said in a cocky way prompting Jiho to chuckle. “You looked fabulous.” She complimented in an exaggerated tone. The two then shared a big wordless smile before they went on to do their own things again.

Side Note: HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAECHAN 🌻☀🐻

idk if you guys mind long posts, I just decided to cut it here and do 2018-2021 (post JiHo’s debut) in a second post to keep the length of all my posts on my blog similar. It’s possible though that part 2 is going to be a bit long, since I don’t know how much I’ll be writing for it

fun fact: I save my little collages (btw those photo’s of Haechan are soooo pretty i’m getting bias wrecked SO hard) on my laptop with the member x JiHo’s shipnames, I suck at choosing shipnames tho. So Haechan and JiHo’s shipname is HyuckHo atm, which I both hate and think is kinda cute/funny at the same time. I also thought about JiChan, JiHae or HaeJi but idk

that was just a little unnecessary insider information

How Haechan And JiHo’s Friendship Evolved Over The Years [Part 2]

PART 1

[2018 | Role Model | New York]

“And I have a question for JiHo.” JiHo turned her head towards the interviewer who just mentioned her name. “You’re a fairly new addition to the group.” The girl nodded along with his words. “The boys have been singers for a few years now, is there anyone in the group who you particularly look up to?”

The fans in the studio ooh in interest as JiHo looks at the boys in thought. Meanwhile, Johnny, Mark and Jaehyun translate the question to the other boys who now look at her expectantly. “Hmm. I guess...” She then looks to her right and motions her hand towards Haechan.

The boy looks surprised - as do the others - when he realises he got chosen. The fans on the other hand begin cheering. “Since we’re only a few months apart in age I can relate to Haechan a lot more. He’s really good at everything he puts his mind to and he also has a great personality.” She explained seriously but Jaehyun on her left side can’t help but smile brightly.

The interviewer noticed how Jaehyun and Mark whispered among themselves and asked what was wrong. “Oh nothing.” Jaehyun said between chuckles. “JiHo just fed Haechan’s ego, he’s not going to let her live this one down for a while.” Mark added.

And by the looks of it Mark was right, because right after Johnny finished translating JiHo’s words to Haechan, the youngest boy had a big grin on his face. His tongue poked the inside of his cheek as looked down on his lap. This caused JiHo to sigh. “You can never just be nice to anyone here.” She said in a light-hearted tone.

[2019 | Cheat Day | Rooftop Café in Seoul]

“And let’s work hard during our promotions! NCT fighting on three!” Yuta yelled holding his glass up high. Everyone followed and Yuta started counting. “One, two, three!” “NCT fighting!” Everyone yelled in unison.

The promotions for ‘Superhuman’ were beginning the following week, so NCT and their staff had decided to have a little kick-off party to start things on a high note. They were all gathered together on the rooftop of one of Seoul’s café’s with the best view, cooking food and grilling meat together - of course with the required drinks for everyone who was legal and wanted to drink.

Haechan stood with his plate next to Johnny who was in charge of grilling the meat. “Can I have some more hyung?” He asked, acting cute. “I already gave you so much.” Johnny laughed but continued adding more meat to the younger boy’s plate.

As Haechan moved over to the next table with food he noticed JiHo sitting alone poking at the food on her almost empty plate. He carefully approached her and sat down next to her. “Are you not eating?” At his voice JiHo jumped a little and then sat straight in her chair. “You scared me.” She gasped causing the boy to chuckle. He then pointed his chopsticks at the girl’s plate to redirect her attention.

“I’m not really hungry.” She sighed. “Well don’t mind if I do.” He reached out his chopsticks and grabbed the half of a boiled egg that was sitting on her plate. Shoving it in his mouth he sent her a wink. “Yah! You’re so annoying.” She pushed him by his shoulder and watched as Haechan choked on the piece of egg. He quickly regained his composure though so JiHo wasn’t worried.

He watched carefully as the girl grumbled to herself whilst continuously poking at her food. “Somethings wrong. Tell your role model what’s wrong. Maybe my sexy brain can think of a solution.” Completely taken aback by her member’s word, JiHo sent Haechan a disgusted look. “First off all, you should stop referring to yourself as my role model, I already regret calling you that a year ago. And secondly, I never said you had a sexy brain.” She fake gagged. “But you were thinking it.”

The smirk on Haechan’s face definitely annoyed the girl, but she had gotten very used to it by now and actually found that his annoying attempt to cheer her up was working. “The new manager put my on a diet again, and I seriously hate eggs, chicken tastes like cardboard to me and I’m sick of eating raw tomatoes and salad.” “Why don’t you just get food that you like?” Haechan asked nonchalantly, grabbing the other half of the abandoned egg from her plate. “He’s watching me like a hawk up there. He almost grabbed my plate to pick up the food for me.” She sighed.

Haechan took a few seconds to think and scratch his non-existent beard. “He doesn’t let you get the food you want. That’s what you said right?” JiHo nodded and watched as Haechan’s face lit up. “Wait here.”

JiHo waited alone for a few minutes until she saw Haechan approach her again with Jungwoo and each had two plates with them. Placing them in the middle of the table Jungwoo and Haechan sat down next to the girl. “Let’s feast!” Haechan beamed. She just watched as her 2 members began eating carelessly. “He isn’t watching. Just eat.” The youngest of the two boys said patting her shoulder.

A smile found its way on JiHo’s lips as she finally dug in, grateful that her friends were there to help her cheat her diet and feel more comfortable.

[2020 | Su Casa Mi Casa | NCT Dorm, 5th floor]

“He definitely fell on his butt.” “Wasn’t he embarrassed?” “It’s Mark I’m talking about, of course he was, but we’re so used to it now. So no one called him out for it.” JiHo giggled. She was video chatting with one of her friends from back home in France, while getting ready for bed. “I swear to God, your friends are so weird!” “Hey, you’re also my friend.” JiHo reminded the girl on the other side of the screen.

Suddenly the door to JiHo’s room opened and in walked Haechan. Wearing comfortable clothes and with a Nintendo Switch in hand he blindly fell onto JiHo’s bed. “Wait a second.” JiHo told her friend and turned her attention to the intruder. “What are you doing?”

Acting as if JiHo’s presence was new to him, Haechan looked at the girl with a raised eyebrow. “Hmm?” She shook her head at his clueless tone. “I’m talking to my friend right now. What are you doing here?” “I’m not bothering you right? You can just continue. It’s not as if I can understand what you’re saying anyway.”

JiHo rolled her eyes and decided to ignore him. “What’s going on?” JiHo’s friend asked with a giggle, amused by JiHo’s I’m-so-done-with-him look. “Haechan mistook my room for his again.” Haechan perked up at the mention of his name, but JiHo continued to ignore him. “Ow, don’t act like you mind. You’ve told me otherwise before anyway!” Her friend exposed her and JiHo rolled her eyes. “Okay~ Whatever.”

The conversation between JiHo and her friend continued on for another 15 minutes and when JiHo finished her night skin-care routine the friends ended the call.

“Move.” JiHo motioned Haechan to move over as she sat down next to him and watched the game he was playing. “Did Johnny oppa get mad at you bothering him too much or what?” “Nope, I just like your room, it smells nice here.” A puff of air escaped JiHo’s lips, which were turned up into a smile. “It’s called ventilation and a lot less hormones.” This time it was Haechan’s turn to roll his eyes.

When Haechan didn’t say anything - which JiHo did not expect - the girl spoke up once more. “Okay, I know you like how my room smells or whatever, but it’s still my room.” “You don’t care when people enter your room.” Haechan stated. “I don’t, but not at midnight when I’m about to go to bed.” “You don’t care if it’s Lucas.” “It’s because I like Lucas more than you.” JiHo stuck out her tongue and Haechan mirrored her mockingly.

Getting slightly annoyed JiHo pushed Haechan by his arm. “I want to sleep.” “I have every right to be here.” “What? No you don’t. It’s my room.” JiHo countered.

Finally Haechan put down his Switch and turned to the “annoyed” girl. “What’s the saying? Su casa mi casa?” “It’s mi casa su casa, you idiot.” JiHo couldn’t help but snicker at the boy’s mistake. “And also that doesn’t work here, because it’s both our house. We live together.” “Well more reasons that I have every right to be here.” Haechan grabbed his Switch again and laid back in a comfortable position. “Now move, I’m about to beat this level.” He bit his lip, focussing on his game.

A loud groan left JiHo’s lips as she stood up and grabbed her pillow. “What are you doing?” Haechan asked wide-eyed as the girl turned towards the door. “I’m either sleeping in Doyoung’s room or stealing your bed.” She explained and started to walk away, but Haechan stopped her and pulled her by her wrist. “What?” “How am I going to annoy you when you’re not in the same room?” JiHo squinted at Haechan and tried to walk away again, only to be pulled back once more. “Haechan-” “Wait, just stay here and watch me beat this last level. Please.” He pleaded sweetly and JiHo couldn’t help but sit back down next to him.

For about an hour JiHo watched over Haechan’s shoulder as he tried to beat the boss level of his game. Once he finally finished it he noticed how she had already fallen asleep. A chuckle left his lips as he climbed over her until he was standing beside the bed. Haechan pulled the blanket over her body and made his way back to his room.

[2021 | Lara Croft | SM Practise Room]

Dream was definitely one of the louder and more chaotic units within NCT. So when Mark entered the room he wasn’t surprised to see Jeno trying to fight Jisung and Chenle trying, and succeeding, to annoy Renjun. What he didn’t expect to see was Jaemin watching Haechan braid JiHo’s hair with the most focussed expression.

“What’s going on here?” Mark chuckled confused as he settled next to Jaemin. “He wasn’t going to stop bothering me until I let him braid my hair.” JiHo explained. “Your hair is finally long enough, I don’t get why you always kept your hair short.” “Why? You don’t like my hair short?” JiHo questioned looking slightly offended. “No! I didn’t mean it like that.” He then placed both hands on her cheeks and turned her head so she was facing the front - away from him - again.

Mark gave up on asking more questions and decided that a conversation with Jaemin would be a better idea. A few minutes passed until Haechan let out a loud screech. “DONE!” “Don’t yell like that!” JiHo scolded the boy and hit his thigh.

JiHo then looked at Jaemin and Mark expectantly. “How does it look?” “Uhm. I guess you kinda look like Lara Croft?” Mark said hesitantly. JiHo seemed to be pleased with the answer and started walked towards the mirror. “Yeah if she took a big ass tumble.” Haechan quickly added just as JiHo could inspect her reflection.

“Lee Haechan!” The braid that fell over her shoulder looked, for a lack of a better word, rough. The three strands of the braid were completely uneven and some parts of her hair stuck out of the braid. “I thought you knew what you were doing?” “I thought so too. I guess I just need more practise.” He bashfully replied, fingertips scratching the back of his head.

Soon enough the choreographer entered the room and the guys began their practise. JiHo had filled in for Mark while he had to miss the first 2 practises, so she was there to help him find his place in the different formations.

Going through some of the moves JiHo ended up getting knocked over by Jeno. He quickly helped her up and apologised. “Don’t worry about it.” She smiled and the other boys began teasing her for “messing up”. The comments were all very light hearted and JiHo could laugh with all of them, but Haechan decided to throw a little harsher comment. “JiHo, you had one job and you couldn’t even do that!” He dramatically threw his hands up in the air.

“Excuse you, Haechan-ssi.” She emphasised the formal way of addressing him. “I came to help you guys, but if you want to I can leave.” She said while making her way to the door of the practise room. “Wait! Don’t leave!”

Haechan pulled the girl towards him, enveloping her tightly in his arms. “I’m sorry!” He apologised profusely to which JiHo, and the other boys, began laughing. “Why? You don’t really need me, I think Mark got everything down. No?” She eyed Mark and he nodded. “Yeah, I think I’m all set.” “No! You know Mark hyung. He forgets easily, you need to stay until the last practise.” Mark scoffed at the minor insult towards him, but couldn’t help but smile fondly watching how clingy Haechan was towards the girl.

“Okay, I was just joking. I’ll stay, so let me go.” “What are you talking about?” Haechan said while still suffocating the girl in a tight hug. “You’re still holding me. Let go.” She tapped his arm a few times to signal he should let her go. “No I’m not.” His smile wasn’t visible to JiHo, but the rest of the boys could see how much he enjoyed teasing - or it could be holding - JiHo. “Guys please help.” She reached her hand out towards the other boys, but they just watched the girl struggle while Haechan seemed to be having the time of his life.

Just Japan Line Things (Yuta x JiHo x Shotaro)

NCT 2020 brought us one of the best things: Japan Line

Well Japan line already existed with Yuta and JiHo alone, but ever since Shotaro joined, Japan line has been wildin’

Here are just some Japan line things that Japan line does

They radiate high school bullies vibes

You guys remember that one video where Xiaojun looks really intimidated by Yuta??

Yeah well there’s a video somewhere of Japan line during a NCT 2020 dance practise where they are sitting together and all the members look scared to even look in their direction

You’d wonder how anyone could be scared of Shotaro right?

But when he’s together with Yuta and JiHo he looks so much more confident 

They be talking in Japanese, laughing loudly about something and no one knows what the hell is going on

All they know is that Japan line just has this strong aura about them

Yuta and JiHo’s resting faces can be a bit more intimidating

Mark once said he was sure Yuta and JiHo were planning his dead one evening when he saw their cold stares (they clarified that that wasn’t the case, Mark can live on for another day don’t worry)

But Shotaro’s cute face really balances things out

😒😒😊 <- Yuta, JiHo and Shotaro in that order (this is an exaggeration pls don’t take it too seriously thank you ^^)

Don’t worry though, Japan line are all super nice people

Matching outfits

Yuta and Shotaro’s Instagram pages have a few posts of Japan line and in most of them they are wearing matching outfits

Whether they are all wearing the exact same shirt or they are just coordinating colours or styles, it’s always matching (for clarification: this is just on Instagram, not an everyday thing)

It wasn’t really a thing before Shotaro joined, but JiHo explained why and when the matching outfits started

“I really like Shotaro’s clothing style. One day we went shopping together and coincidentally grabbed the same hoodie. That’s when we realised we liked a lot of the same types of clothes and styles. Yuta saw that we bought the same hoodie and Taro told me he wanted to buy one for Yuta as well. After that we didn’t want to keep buying the same clothes, but we thought of matching outfits and that’s when it started. I didn’t think Yuta would like it but he was all for it! So that’s why every once in a while we match outfits and take pictures.” JiHo during a VLIVE in fall 2020

Yuta bought the three of them custom matching sneakers and they still wear them

Cooking together

If you watched NCT World 2.0 you know those two are a lost cause when it comes to cooking

However JiHo likes cooking for and with them

Yes, it gets a bit hectic with those two in the kitchen, but she teaches them basic skills and lets them do small easy tasks

In the end the food always turns out delicious and JiHo loves how proud they are of themselves for helping making such amazing food

There’s definitely been some cuts and small accidents (funnily enough, JiHo is often the one getting hurt) and they always help each other cleaning the cuts and patching up the wounds with a band aid

They mostly cook Japanese food

And even though JiHo didn’t really grow up on Japanese food, the boys make her try new dishes

They are always surprised how much it reminds them of the food in Japan and that makes JiHo feel a sense of pride

She ends up really enjoying it and Japanese food becomes one of her favourite cuisines

Maknae JiHo

JiHo is Japan line’s official maknae

Even though both JiHo and Yuta think Taro is absolutely adorable and JiHo sometimes like to baby him, but not too much

Yuta still sees JiHo as the baby of the group and Shotaro thinks JiHo is super cute as well, so she is deemed the official maknae (and by age she’s also the youngest so she doesn’t have a choice)

Yuta’s aura and Shotaro’s height make them tower over her making her look tiny

She’s almost always standing in the middle of the two

Once Haechan said that it looks like Shotaro and Yuta are JiHo’s bodyguards

Mom JiHo

Despite being the “baby” of the group, she often has to look out of the two

Helping Shotaro with Korean (even though he’s so good at Korean now)

Making sure Yuta doesn’t say anything to accidentally expose them

Whenever she’s over at either of their dorms to do something together, whether that’s cook, play games or anything else, JiHo is the one to clean up after the two boys

Here some quick-fire Japan Line things/facts to end this

JiHo has a polaroid of the three of them in her wallet

They have a three-way handshake

Yuta has called JiHo the glue of the group and said she was the reason he got a lot closer to Shotaro

JiHo has an otter and an octopus plushie on one of the shelfs in her closet

Shotaro knows JiHo and Yuta’s favourite drinks and put himself in charge of providing their drinks for them whenever they hang out

Yuta and Shotaro once “stole” JiHo’s phone and took a bunch of pictures of them on it

Before Shotaro moved to the dreamies dorm, JiHo would often stay over at his place

JiHo sometimes crawls into Yuta’s bed when he’s still asleep when she visits early in the mornings and when she feels a bit sleepy (she normally doesn’t like sleeping so close to someone, but when she’s exhausted, Yuta’s bed is the place to be for her. Preferably with Yuta still in bed.)

JiHo also doesn’t mind sharing a bit with Shotaro, which came to Doyoung’s surprise since JiHo doesn’t/didn’t know him for too long before they got so comfortable around each other

They have a group chat together where JiHo is the least active

Side note: I was really struggling with coming up with something for today, so I finished this post I started 3 months ago. I’m going through a bit of a writers block/feeling burnt out lately so I might fall off schedule the coming posts, I hope you guys don’t mind. Relationship with: Got7

“Relationships with GOT7? 🤓😊“ @vampire-kissi3s on my last ‘Relationship with: ...’ post

Their relationships are thanks to JiHo being close to ITZY as well as Jaehyun introducing her to 97′ line

Even though JiHo isn’t buddy-buddy with anyone in the group, she knows most of the members very well

The first people she met were Yugyeom and Bambam and even though they have had many friendly conversations, they are probably the most awkward with JiHo

Out of everyone Jackson is definitely one of , if not the closest member to JiHo

They may not reach out to each other much casually, but during the the time Jackson and Lucas were filming ‘Keep Running’ together JiHo and Lucas facetimed each other quite often and Jackson would often join the call by Lucas side

These two have had some interactions in the past and each of them looked very friendly and fun, usually joking around or saying hello to each other

Jackson is a busy busy man however, so they don’t get to talk and definitely not hang out a lot

He is one of the only idols outside NCT who contacted her during her unexpected hiatus in 2021 and after the articles came out of her signing under Esteem as well as the rumours of JiHo leaving NCT

JiHo and Youngjae got to know each other more during her time on set filming ‘So Not Worth It’

JiHo had a smaller role and was only on set for a few days, but during her time on set she talked to a lot of the other cast

Youngjae was very surprised at how bright and social she was, and when JiHo approached him first he actually felt slightly intimidated

But after some quick introductions and JiHo mentioning the time they saw each other during award shows in previous years, Youngjae felt a lot more at ease

The two of them and Minnie ((G)I-dle) actually talked a while during a break about not being able to perform in front of fans due to the pandemic, which is how they got closer and became very comfortable around each other

JiHo praised him, as well as Minnie and the other cast, a lot during her days on the shoot and she became the unofficial moodmaker/energizer on set (which took most people by surprise)

So during the last day of JiHo’s shoot Youngjae surprised her with her favourite bubble tea to sent her off well

He felt like a proud older brother and took a lot of care of her when she was on set, and JiHo would return it by being his main fangirl and cheering him on

She even came to the last day of shooting (even though she was already done) to congratulate the team and Youngjae for their hard work and treated the cast on their favourite drinks

After the whole shoot was finished JiHo and Youngjae didn’t really keep in touch much, busy with their own schedules, but they did promise each other that they would be cheering the other on for their future schedules

As for Jay B, Mark and Jinyoung; JiHo doesn’t really know them that well

She thinks of them as amazing artists and performers, but she hasn’t really ever talked to them

As far as anyone knows Jinyoung and Jay B haven’t ever talked about JiHo, but Mark has mentioned her

Back when Mark started streaming on Twitch, he did mention JiHo a few times because fans in his chat asked about her

He said he knew her and when his chat asked if he knew about her dance covers of Got7 dances (she did a V Live in the dance practise room back in 2020 during which she danced to a few Got7 songs) he said he did see it and thought she was a great dancer

Overall JiHo only stays in touch with Jackson every once in a while, but other than that she isn’t close to Got7; however she really likes them as artists and respects them a lot

Relationship with: artists outside SM

For JiHo’s relationship with NCT and other SM artists check out the pinned post on my blog.

This post contains mutual friendships, acquaintances and mentions also crushes between JiHo and other artists.

ITZY:

JiHo isn’t particularly close friends with all the members of ITZY, but her friendship with Ryujin caused her to get closer to the rest of the group

They are comfortable hanging out with each other, even if it doesn’t happen often, and always seem to have a good time

Interactions between JiHo and ITZY are usually off camera

However the girl group has mentioned JiHo a handful of times on their live streams and JiHo has openly supported the group as well

As for her friendship with Ryujin:

The girls were friends before Ryujin’s debut and even before JiHo’s debut in NCT

They used to practise kpop group dances every other weekend in a small dance studio

Always the first to find out about major things about each other

Like when Ryujin starred in BTS’ Love Yourself Highlight Reel, or when JiHo first got the news that she was going to debut in NCT

Since they have both debuted now they can’t celebrate in person like how they used to, but they will still send meaningful text messages to congratulate each other or face time for a few hours to talk about exciting announcements

Whenever they see each other at events they will have some kind of interaction

If they don’t have time to actually talk, a pat on the butt while passing by or a wink in either once direction will do ;)

TWICE:

Because JiHo is somewhat close to ITZY she has hung out at the JYP building a few times

There she met some of the TWICE girls and she introduced herself to them

Even though they haven’t gotten very close afterwards, JiHo has talked about TWICE and TWICE has talked about JiHo in the past

They have close to no actual interactions, but Momo, Sana and Mina have revealed that they have JiHo’s phone number

Although they never really text each other, Momo did say, “She’s also Japanese so we exchanged numbers. We haven’t really talked in the past months but she did sent me a text after my dance project video came out to cheer me on.” - this was during a vlive after ‘ MOMO Performance Project ‘ dropped back in February of 2021

ASTRO:

JiHo met Eunwoo through Jaehyun, when he dragged her along for one of his 97 line gatherings

He was very sweet towards her and when Jaehyun revealed that JiHo was a fan of the group Eunwoo arranged a little “meeting” between her and the rest of ASTRO 

She immediately hit it off with Sanha and Rocky and later on the rest of the group as well

Rocky invited her to practise together a few times and they have made some choreography with Sanha and Moon Bin

None of the dances have ever been revealed to the public and for as far as they know, the public isn’t very aware of their friendship

Now, they aren’t super close, but ASTRO’s dance/maknae line and JiHo have spent a good amount of time dancing and chilling together

Fans are aware that JiHo and ASTRO know each other and have talked before, but that’s really all they know

SEVENTEEN:

JiHo’s relationship with SEVENTEEN is a bit similar as hers with ASTRO and came about in pretty much the same way

During that same 97 line gathering with Jaehyun, she also met Mingyu who in turn introduced her to SEVENTEEN

In SEVENTEEN JiHo is only close to Dino and Vernon

It’s not that JiHo doesn’t click with the others or that the boys don’t like JiHo, it’s just a matter of being busy and not having the opportunity to get close or even meet

Mingyu introduced JiHo to Dino first and they bonded quickly over dance and being the youngest

Vernon happened to be there as well and when he found out about her “origins” - being a foreigner - they got to talking fast

They’re mainly just dance buddies, because they rather not show their friendship too much, afraid to get into a dating rumour scandal - which is sadly the reality for all of JiHo’s friendships with male idols outside of NCT or SM

Luhan & Tao (former EXO members):

Luhan left just around the time JiHo joined

So he really didn’t get to meet JiHo or talk to her

As for Tao, he was still in the company and EXO while JiHo was a trainee

They look like an unusual duo but they got along very well, he even treated her for lunch a handful of times with some other artist and trainees tagging along

Once he left EXO they didn’t keep in contact, but rumours started spreading that they met up or gotten back in contact in 2021 and are possibly working on a song together

(G)I-DLE:

JiHo is definitely a big fan of Soyeon

She has mentioned her a few times on her live streams and rapped along to her parts in K/DA songs

They have had a few interactions with most of them staying behind the scenes

There has been a bit of drama in the past where fans who shipped Lucas and Yuqi sent hate towards JiHo for being close to Lucas, but since it was such a dumb situation all parties ignored the hate and after a while it passed

Once, JiHo was asked what her ideal type was and her answer was: “If everyone in (G)I-DLE became one person, that would be my ideal type.”

Of course this caused JiHo’s fans to go crazy and bring up (G)I-DLE for a while during her live streams

“All of them are really pretty and super talented. From the little interactions we had and the video’s I’ve seen of them, I’m sure they also have amazing personalities.”

NCT’s Love Language with JiHo

Taeyong:

Fatherly smiles~~

Taeyong is very observant when it comes to JiHo

He will look out for her during schedules and definitely when she’s wearing shorts or a skirt, to make sure there’s always a pillow or a blanket to cover her legs

Won’t hesitate to offer her his jacket when she looks cold

Making eye contact and smiling towards her in a reassuring way

Taeil:

Overall just smiles towards the girl

Thumbs-up in her direction

Every once in a while just will flat out tell her she’s doing a great job and to make sure she doesn’t overwork herself

Will 9/10 times cook for her whenever she asks (ft. Taeyong)

Also JiHo loves his side hugs but never asks for them and one day Taeil found out about this (Someone in Dream may have exposed this secret to him) and now he does it every so often <3

Johnny:

Head pats

Hair ruffling

Shoulder/back pats

All of those small reassuring touches

Whenever Johnny’s in a really good mood or when he’s laughing, he’ll throw an arm around JiHo’s shoulder and slightly squeeze her into his side 

Yuta:

Probably one of the most physically affectionate members towards JiHo

JiHo is really one of the boys, but SM has made it clear that the boys can’t be too touchy with her like how they with each other, to avoid dating rumours

Yuta really did say f*ck that, JiHo is my other half and I’m not afraid to show it

Aggressively pulls JiHo into hugs whenever she does anything cute, funny or impressive (honestly, Yuta does it whenever he feels like it)

Hand holding is also very common between the two

Though JiHo will let him hold her hand or hug her anyway he wants to, she’ll almost never be the one to initiate it (Partly because she’s not the most touchy person, but also because SM told her not to)

Kun:

SUPER reassuring

Before JiHo can even mutter a half sentence of her not doing great, Kun will be there to tell her “No, you’re doing amazing!” or “Shh, you’re doing your best. It will be better next time.”

High-fives all day!

Usually accompanied with a cute shared giggle/chuckle between the two <3

Doyoung:

Very supportive and reassuring

I mean we all know how Doyoung is the nicest and most supportive friend in the world ^^

On-camera he likes to be more playful and teasing towards JiHo, but off-camera he’s so sweet

Proud texts and every once in a while texts to make sure JiHo isn’t overworking herself

Shows his love mostly by asking her to do things together, like going to a cafe and just spend some time talking about any- and everything

He was the first person to befriend JiHo so they both know they care for and love each other, no words needed

Ten:

He looks out for JiHo similarly as he does for Yangyang

A lot of nicknames and teasing

But it’s a bit more low key

He will however cheer loudly whenever JiHo does something cool or impressive (like on variety shows or interviews)

Jaehyun:

We know JiHo and Jaehyun are bros, but whenever the older man wants to show JiHo his affection, he’ll kind of drop the whole bro-thing and be a lot more gentle

The tone of his voice becomes a lot more softer and a smile, barely noticeable, forms on his face whenever he looks at JiHo

He doesn’t quite show his love and appreciation directly, but you can definitely tell by the change in body language

Winwin:

Winwin won’t usually tell JiHo how much he appreciates her to her face, but he will bring her up with every opportunity that arises

Brings her up during interviews, even during WayV schedules

It’s often when talking about someone he wants to work with more or someone he looks up to

Very respectful towards the girl, like if she’s talking during an interview or V Live he’ll try to pay all his attention to her and unintentionally has the sweetest/cutest reactions to anything she does

Jungwoo:

You know those times Jungwoo just lovingly stares at Mark his members?

JiHo is no exception

Very flirty like he always is (#^.^#)

Might ruffle her hair every now and then, but besides that, he’s just Jungwoo showing love the way Jungwoo does it

Lucas:

Playfully shakes JiHo around a lot

His big hands just engulf her shoulders and in seconds she’s this close to getting a mini-concussion

Whenever he’s feeling extra affectionate, he’ll just throw his arms completely around her shoulders, holding her in some kind of back hug and shakes her around

Sometimes Lucas just picks her up in that position and turns around a few times before letting her down

Just DoHo Things (Doyoung x JiHo)

They act like strangers on camera kinda

We all know Doyoung was JiHo’s first friend out of the NCT members

They became friends around the end of 2014/the beginning of 2015, just a few months after she joined SM

Yet they don’t have a ton of moments on camera (?)

Well they do, but on variety shows they usually don’t interact as much since Yuta is usually hogging JiHo and Haechan is busy annoying Doyoung

Actually, there are a lot of on-camera interactions, but you have to really look for them

It’s usually them whispering to each other or sending little signals, like a thumbs up or communicating without words, when the camera is focused on another member

During games JiHo loves being on Doyoung’s team, yet it rarely happens

When Doyoung gets teased, JiHo will usually just watch and laugh from afar, but if he’s getting teased by all the members and JiHo notices his patience is running out, she’ll be right their by his side defending him or at least standing by him

Sometimes she doesn’t though, just because she doesn’t want to ruin the fun if it’s clearly just light-hearted teasing for entertainment, yet she will still not join the teasing so that it isn’t Doyoung vs all the other members

Yet another Tom and Jerry relationship

Love each other and will compliment each other, but won’t take the compliment of the other person (mostly JiHo)

They try to expose each other on their personal VLIVEs but on the next person’s live stream they will “debunk” whatever has been said

There’s such strong sibling vibes coming from the two

Fans think it’s adorable, because JiHo - who’s normally super cool and professional - will sometimes be seen clinging onto Doyoung’s side

If anyone dares to point it out, however, she’ll just fake gag and act disgusted

Fan favourite moment regarding clingy JiHo:

During an NCT Life series, while all the members were eating JiHo just looked at the food. Her stomach wasn’t feeling too well so she couldn’t eat and the smell and sight of the table full of food was quite a bit overwhelming. She walked over to Doyoung and just pushed herself into his side and rested her head on his shoulder. He asked her if she was okay and just rested his arm around her shoulder.

He ended up getting her a separate plate and placed some food on it so she only had to focus on what was on her plate instead of reaching over the table to keep picking food up and let the smell hit her nose which would make her feel worse.

Protective Doyoung

Doyoung is a big advocate of standing up for yourself and speaking your mind

And since JiHo isn’t afraid to speak up for herself - most of the time - Doyoung usually doesn’t have to worry about her too much

However, that doesn’t mean he likes it when someone puts her in a position that she has to speak up for herself

Since JiHo is the only girl in NCT it causes her to get questioned about it a lot during interviews or shows and it always leads to awkwardness and a lot of tension

This is why you can see Doyoung stealing glances at JiHo during interviews

It was very apparent during their time in America as well as during interviews in the first year of JiHo being in NCT

Every time JiHo was holding up the mic ready to answer something, or whenever he heard her name in a question, he would perk up the tiniest bit, trying to not make it obvious, and focus more on what’s being said or listen to JiHo’s answer

Personal Photographer JiHo

Doyoung’s really picky about his Instagram pictures

JiHo isn’t the best photographer, but being Doyoung’s friend for a while, she knows what Doyoung likes and which angles look best for him

Fans have spotted them multiple times where JiHo is sitting down on the floor bent in an awkward position, just to take the best picture of Doyoung she can possibly take

Sharing food and drinks

They share all their food

Like not at the dinner table, but whenever they are doing a VLIVE or at a café or when someone has some new snacks

“JiHo, this is really good! Try this.” And a fork full of food is already next to her lips

It’s really cute

The members even agree, because DoHo doesn’t realise how much they do it, but they do have one complaint about it

DoHo only shares food amongst themselves

When the other members ask for a taste they usually get a weird stare from the duo

JiHo is more willing to share with the other members, but they actually have to ask, she only does it of her own free will if it’s for Doyoung

(they do share with the others, only if they aren’t with each other)

Doyoung harmonising with JiHo

It’s pretty much what it says

Doyoung seems to catch every single time JiHo silently hums or sings to herself and he’ll just harmonise with her

It catches her of guard a lot and it makes Doyoung laugh, seeing her shocked expression

Whenever she raps, he’ll harmonise as well

And EVERY SO OFTEN the rolls are reversed

Doyoung loves loves loveeees when JiHo harmonises with him, but don’t ask her, she won’t do it if you ask her

Here some quick-fire DoHo things/facts to end this

Both buy/”collect” NCT albums

Doyoung bought JiHo her favourite plushie keychain that’s been on her backpack since debut (possibly also before debut)

JiHo said that if she had to choose one of the members as a real sibling it would be Doyoung

Whenever NCT goes overseas and stays in a hotel and JiHo does not get a room for herself or with a female staff member, Doyoung is always her roommate

Lastly: At airports, in busy places, or just whenever they are walking somewhere, Doyoung will be seen “dragging” JiHo along by the sleeve of her jacket or even her backpack when they are together (Fans think it’s really cute how JiHo just waddles behind Doyoung)

Doyoung said it’s because JiHo sometimes walks a bit too slow or because he doesn’t want to loose her in the crowd. He even confessed that he sometimes does it without realising. It has become some kind of habit

JiHo makes him laugh almost as much as Haechan or Johnny do

Helps her with rapping and is the person JiHo reaches out to when she wants validation with her rapping

Spent a whole night with her in the studio after she had a mental breakdown when she kept messing up and the producer told her to come back the next day

They never talk about it and no one else knows (that’s what they thought but Taeil and Doyoung do know. Of course they respect JiHo’s privacy and never bring it up) but he’s always there for her before or during she records her rap part when he knows she’s nervous or stressed out

Renjun:

The prettiest boy of them all in JiHo’s eyes

It’s an ongoing joke that JiHo is whipped for Renjun and JiHo doesn’t deny it

She loves his voice and thinks he’s super talented and smart

But she only says that about him and not to him (she doesn’t want Renjun to feel uncomfortable around her, God bless her)

They have great chemistry together and seem- are best buds

Renjun appreciates JiHo’s hard work and her great language skills

She usually tries speaking only Chinese when with WayV or China line

He’s the only person she speaks Chinese with casually when they are not hanging out with the Chinese members

Praises her a lot when she’s not there

They can get really mischievous together and go and tease the others

Their usual victims are Ten, Kun and Jaemin (they keep it really playful though so their “victims” laugh a lot when they get “teased”)

They can talk for hours and hours Taeil and Doyoung have send them home after finding them in the studio or practice room talking at 3 am multiple times

Jeno:

Jeno and JiHo are a dangerous duo

Their visuals are OUT OF THIS WORLD

Like they are both very attractive on their own, but put them together and-

Jeno is a firm believer that JiHo should’ve been in NCT Dream

Also have a kind of brotherly bond, but Jeno gets really protective over her

He pushes her around playfully but if someone else does it and does it too hard, someone is about to catch those hands...  -_-;;

Workout buddy

Even though JiHo complains a lot when exercising with him, he still drags her along (like literally, they will go for a run and Jeno will grab her by the wrist and drag her with him)

Haechan:

Instead, he’ll volunteer to read instead of JiHo whenever possible and she appreciates it a lot

Doesn’t believe that JiHo is technically younger than him

Believes in treating everyone equally, so if he didn’t tease or annoy her enough during practice, promotions, or video shoots he’ll annoy her at the dorms

Barges in her room whenever he wants to  and after an hour of annoying her or “ruining” her Vlive, he will just sit on her bed and play on her switch or his phone for a few hours

Jaemin:

“Forces” her to do aegyo

Thinks JiHo is the most adorable human bean (yes bean) to grace this earth awww

Says he doesn’t want her to join next promotion because he hates seeing her work so hard, but never actually means it. He loves that JiHo is part of NCT with him

Wants to be in a Sub-Unit promoting with her so bad, but it doesn’t seem to look like that’s happening soon  (ㅜ_ㅜ)

JiHo likes to give him back hugs and he melts every time she does, but tries to hide the smile creeping on his face

Jaemin knows he’s one of the only members receiving skinship from JiHo so he doesn’t want to jinx it by pointing it out, but is very proud he gets those rare JiHo hugs <3

They don’t have the best chemistry on camera, because they just are really quiet but when you are with them physically you can't sense any awkwardness at all

Daegal loves her (not as much as she loves Mark or Chenle but enough to sit on JiHo’s lap 50% of the time she’s is at Chenle’s)

He makes fun of her when she messes up her Chinese but no one else dare make fun of her Chinese or he’ll find a way to make fun of you so you feel bad

During a variety show the host made fun of JiHo’s Chinese and Chenle asked him to say something in Chinese, when he couldn’t Chenle just gave him that a look and stan Twitter went OFF

Jisung:

JiHo is the coolest hyung noona

She doesn’t baby him because they are pretty close in age and Jisung appreciates the change of pace

Wished JiHo was also a member of NCT Dream (com’on SM everyone wants JiHo in Dream! ㅜ.ㅜ)

He finds her intimidating whenever she’s in performer mode

Will willingly do aegyo for JiHo and vice versa

Sometimes it feels like JiHo is younger than him so he has a sense of protectiveness at times

JiHo isn’t a star chef, but she can cook pretty well, so sometimes she visits the dreamies’ dorm and cook for Jisung them

Also learns Jisung how to cook or bake simple things (he sucks but they love spending the quality time together)

The hugs they share look so comfy and ngl everyone fans, not-fans and even their own members feel jealous

Original contender of getting JiHo’s current room, but gave it up because she has a lot of stuff and spends more time in the dorm than he does

Is such a dad

Doesn’t show much affection towards her and vice versa, but there’s this mutual respect towards each other

Not the first person JiHo goes to when she has something on her mind, but she knows she can trust Taeyong with her heavy problems

They used to look super awkward around each other, but now they are the type of friends that can just sit in silence together doing their own thing and it not feel awkward at all

Very wholesome interactions

For example, Taeyong once lost a bet during one of their NCT Daily videos and had to clean up at the end. JiHo stayed behind and helped him clean up while talking about how fun the video shoot was. It looked so natural and NCTzens were so happy to see them together like that

Taeil:

Another dad

The person JiHo goes to for validation when singing

Either he or Doyoung is there when JiHo has to record a singing part for a new song (honestly she’s an amazing singer but is just really afraid to sing because of some past trauma ㅠㅠ )

Just like Taeyong doesn’t have many interactions with JiHo on camera, but together with the hyung line he is definitely a stable support system for her

JiHo is a sucker for great vocalists and there may or may not be a video of JiHo wide-eyed and with a dropped jaw listening to Taeil sing

Gets flustered a lot because of JiHo

She never misses a beat when getting the chance to praise his singing or volunteering him as a tribute to sing during a variety show

Calls JiHo his cute dongsaeng that doesn’t tease him too often

Johnny:

Brings out the chaos in JiHo, but in respectful amounts

The first to find out when small things are bothering her, bigger things she usually keeps to herself until someone notices and pries it out of her

When they hang out JiHo becomes a whole bruh girl and the fans love it

International NCTzens want Jaehyun to talk English more and JiHo is the reason he does

People call them brothers a lot

He’s more clingy and “cutesy” with the male members than with her XD

She feels sooooo comfortable with Jaehyun to a problematic extent

SM even had to tell her to act a little more lady-like after hanging out with Jaehyun for a few weeks over Chuseok

JiHo doesn’t like watching TV that much, but Jaehyun always seem to pick out the good series and that’s why he’s the only one that gets to watch Netflix with her

She melts~~

Has a soft spot for Winwin (like everyone else does) but isn’t overly affectionate and he appreciates that

Was awkward with JiHo for a while, but then she started learning Chinese. He noticed how much effort she put in to become accepted in NCT as the only girl. Now he doesn’t feel awkward anymore

He looks up to her because she’s so hardworking

Share a lot of cute fan favourite moments, usually where they are in the background of videos or vlives laughing together

They spent a lot of time practising dances together and said he’d like to dance together with her for an NCT Dance video

Jungwoo:

Loves the girl

It’s mutual

Has been talked about a lot in the past when it came to her styling. In several instances, she looked uncomfortable with her clothing and NCTzens have spoken up about her revealing outfits

In early 2019 changes were made in the styling team and JiHo has never looked uncomfortable with her clothing ever since. SM Entertainment has apologized since then

NCTzens have complained about the lack of JiHo’s presence in the NCT RESONANCE albums

JiHo was no longer part of NCT 127

She was removed from the artist profile on April 20th, 2021 without any official statement by SM

JiHo shortly mentioned her departure on a live stream (V LIVE [210814])

In 2021, JiHo went on a unannounced hiatus for several months (this hiatus coincided with her departure of NCT 127). After her return documents leaked revealing JiHo had been treated unfairly behind the scenes ever since her trainee days. This was ultimately deemed part of the cause for her hiatus

On July 24th SM made an official statement along with an apology to JiHo, her family, friends and fans

Update: JiHo returned to NCT 127 for their Favorite (Vampire) comeback

SM has not posted any statement for her return to NCT 127

--- Side Note: There’s no specific face claim for JiHo as she has very specific features. But to get a feeling for her looks and overall vibe Lee Jooyoung (actress in Itaewon Class) and Miya (member of GWSN) are 2 people I think fit her vibe well, so depending on the situation you’ll probably see some of their pictures. JiHo looks more foreign/western than them but it’s hard to find someone who completely embodies her.

FACE CLAIM UPDATE: If you followed this blog for a while you might have noticed the same girl appearing more often. Even though she’s still not the official face claim (she pretty much is), her name is Xu JiaQi.

Relationship with: SM artists

For JiHo’s relationship with NCT check out the pinned post on my blog. By no means are these all SM artists or is this very detailed and my knowledge in some of these groups is also very limited so please bear with me. If I wrongly represent anyone now or in the future feel free to let me know, but keep in mind all of this is purely fictional.

Super Junior:

Oh dear Lord help poor JiHo

She’s the victim of endless teasing from Super Junior

Since JiHo is pretty sociable she got quite comfortable with SuJu

They might not hang out a lot but whenever they see the girl they’ll approach her to at least greet her (and vice versa, of course)

SuJu also love to bring JiHo up during variety shows to tell a funny episode they had with the girl and “expose” her

Eunhyuk is a bit like an older brother to her, during her trainee days she once walked up to him asking him if he could critique her dancing. He was surprised at how bold she was and could only agree with her because she was so intriguing. He thought JiHo was a great dancer and since that time they became really close, even having each other’s phone numbers and JiHo having Eunhyuk on speed dial. When she was still under-age Eunhyuk became her guardian (not legally) since she has no family in Korea

Red Velvet:

They aren’t really close with each other for a few reasons (nothing bad though)

JiHo joined SM just after Red Velvet debuted and since the group was very busy with promotions and practice JiHo rarely got to see them

Though JiHo was very talented she didn’t have that much training and she was still a little too young when SM thought of adding another member into the group, Yeri had joined Red Velvet in march of 2015 which was clearly an amazing choice

SM also thought, pretty early on, that JiHo wouldn’t be a great fit for the group’s concept and overall look so they quickly stopped considering JiHo to become a Red Velvet member

Even after years passed, JiHo didn’t really get much closer to most of the members, but she respects them a lot as artists

Out of the whole group she’s probably closest with Seulgi and Wendy, who kinda see her as a little sister they want to take care of

Wendy checks up on JiHo every once in a while through text or invites her out to have dinner and drags Seulgi along with her

They look out for her and tease her a lot when it comes to being the only female member of NCT

“You need to be surrounded by a bit more oestrogen every once in a while, JiHo.” ^^

They will give her advice or just try to cheer her up when they catch the younger girl looking a bit stressed

JiHo would love to do a dance cover with Seulgi sometime in the future

SHINee:

Honestly who doesn’t love SHINee?!??

I’m not saying JiHo is secretly a Shawol, but I am saying SHINee is one of the groups that introduced her to kpop

She always had (and still has) so much respect for the group and they are probably the reason she accepted the scout’s request to come to Korea to become a trainee at SM

A possibility to debut under the same company as SHINee?? YES MA’AM

She has a very friendly relationship with the boys

Saying hi in passing or making small talk whenever they end up in the same elevator

Maybe even went to get something to eat together in the company cafeteria, but besides that there isn’t very much interaction

Taemin has mentioned her a handful of times after SuperM formed since he’s in the same group of some of JiHo’s members now

It usually about how he thinks JiHo’s really cute definitely during her trainee days when she was a little shy towards SHINee or that she’s a really great dancer/performer

Fans have wanted Key & JiHo or Minho & JiHo interactions for a while now, thinking they would make iconic duos (because chaos-), but some other fans have mentioned how she and Onew would make for a great duo because the girl tends to gravitate to the calmer members in NCT more often as well

EXO:

Well Kai is her idol so...

A lot of teasing once again

Though funnily enough, some EXO members seem to be intimidated by JiHo or act awkward around her

JiHo has been pretty open about being an EXO-L and so many fans poke fun at EXO about them being awkward around the girl (they have adopted her into the fandom and she’s pretty well received there)

“She just has this aura around her~”

MTL to feel intimidated by/awkward around JiHo:

Most: Sehun, Suho & Kai

Least: Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin (EXO-CBX ^^) & Lay (EXO-M <3, the former Chinese members were also not really awkward around her)

Not at all: Chanyeol & D.O.

JiHo’s fans are sad that her and Kai are so awkward around each other and blame EXO and NCT (mainly those in SuperM) for teasing Kai so much by mentioning JiHo looks up to him, that now he can barely look her in the eyes

People have also pointed out how funny it is that Kai and Sehun are especially intimidated by JiHo, comparing them to big dogs being scared of a little puppy (wait this is cute)

Chanyeol and D.O. get along very well with JiHo, Chanyeol mainly being kind of a big brother for JiHo, but a big brother who likes making fun of her and embarrass her

JiHo mentioned the group a lot in her first year of being an idol, after that she kind of stopped (theory: she got told of by SM for talking about EXO too much after getting a lot of mean comments from antis ＞﹏＜)

Interactions between her and the group have also been insanely spares since mid 2019

(another theory: fans think that JiHo isn’t allowed to talk/interact with EXO anymore)

She has only mentioned EXO members when talking about SuperM, but it was mainly to support the group’s promotions

SNSD/Girl’s Generation:

NCT has teased JiHo before saying that she’s scared of SNSD

She defended herself by telling everyone that it’s because they are her seniors and she really respects them so she tends to get nervous around them 

Some of the members of the girl group have mentioned JiHo before and said they hung out a little

Hyoyeon has been very expressive about her fondness for the girl

She even said that she wanted JiHo to join her when she participated in Hit The Stage

It didn’t end up happening because the kind of dances she did where either “too mature” or “unfortunately we didn’t get permission (from SM) to let Jiho join”

Hyoyeon has posted some pictures with JiHo on instagram, either cheering her on during NCT promotions or just because they were casually hanging out

JiHo also really likes Sunny and Taeyeon and has been invited by the girls to attended their concerts a few times now

On the outside it looks like they have a very strict senior-junior relationship, but every once in a while the group tells them how they are actually closer to JiHo than people think, they just don’t have very many opportunities to show it

They also do NOT tolerate any hate towards JiHo (definitely from those who comment on her not deserving to be in a boy group or her skill as an idol in general) and WILL defend her and shoot down any comments

Aespa:

She trained with a few of the girls for a little while

But when it got announced that JiHo would be joining NCT instead of a girl group, she started training with the boys (NCT and trainees who’d join NCT)

Some fans speculated that JiHo and Aespa weren’t on good terms, but there was no evidence to back up their theories

More so, it was even revealed that JiHo knew the choreography for “Black Mamba” during a V Live

JiHo has openly supported the group by talking about their debut song and stages, but there aren’t really any other interactions between them

BoA:

A collab between them would be LEGENDARY

When BoA visited NCT during their practise of Black on Black during the filming of Master in The House, she pointed JiHo out and complimented her for being able to be as powerful as the boys

JiHo looks up to BoA very much and during a variety show has revealed that she used to practise a lot of her songs/dances while she was a trainee

It happened a few times that the singer has expressed her faith in the younger girl’s potential and skill and hopes that JiHo will get to show of more of her talent because “Currently, I think she’s not able to show all her skills. She’s a junior I am able to trust to deliver (a great performance) if I asked her to work on a project with or for me.”

BoA’s comments about the younger girl only solidified the theories that SM is suppressing JiHo’s talent

JiHo has spoken out about it very subtly, saying that she’s happy where she is now as long as she gets to keep performing with the boys

In response to an international fan asking if JiHo ever thought about branching out to work on a solo project like a mixtape or even just solo dance videos to show of her choreographing skills:

“It makes me genuinely happy to perform with my friends right now. I think I still have a lot of learning to do. If ever my company reaches out to me to do something like that I will think about it, but I don’t really feel the need for anything like that right now. I’m happy (with the way things are) right now.”

Relationships with: NCT U

Almost everyone has been a member of NCT U by now, so here are the member who haven’t been in any other of the Sub-Units (a.k.a. Shotaro & Sungchan)

Shotaro:

There’s 2 sides to them, and it’s literally a day and night kind of difference

Day:

“JiHo’s Japanese?” “Yes!”

Shotaro “clings” on to her for dear life whenever someone says something in Korean he doesn’t understand

She’s his little translator (He’s gotten really good at Korean though so he doesn’t really need her (///.-) )

He “prefers” JiHo over Yuta, because though he loves Yuta and is thankful for everything he does for him, he’s also really intimidating 

Doesn’t find JiHo intimidating at all

He thinks JiHo is cute because of their height difference “I’m not that smal okay :(” and JiHo thinks it’s cute how shy and quiet he gets around the other members

JiHo is really proud of him and praises how good his Korean is becoming every day

Night:

Literally at night, they will be at the dance studio

Bad Bitch JiHo, TikTok e-boy Shotaro... my G0d-

NCT’s tiktok gets blessed every time those to get together 〜(￣▽￣〜)(〜￣▽￣)〜

Pretty chill~

Like they aren’t the closest but they aren’t awkward at all

Small talk, talking about their performance, it all comes pretty natural

They hang out together with Shotaro sometimes

Towers over JiHo and everyone thinks it’s cute ^^

JiHo always has to remind everyone that she’s not that much smaller than Taeil or Renjun

The tall squad will purposely stand next to her in variety shows so she looks smol (that’s why she sometimes clings onto the shortest boys)

She didn’t get to be in 90s love and honestly that was such a mistake on SM’s part because everyone and their mother felt like this could’ve been JiHo’s era. For weeks she hummed that song and kept promoting it on social media. On Sungchan’s request the group made an alternate version with JiHo and even though they weren’t allowed to make it public wtf SM! they still sang together on V LIVE/ Instagram and showed JiHo dancing to it in NCT Daily videos while messing around in the practise room

JiHo and Sungchan have both said they want to work together in a future comeback cute

NCT’s Love Language with JiHo

This is how the NCT members show their love and appreciation towards JiHo. Click here for: part 1, part 2

Mark:

JiHo creates such a comforting space for Mark, because she’s just so down to earth and fits in with the boys so well

So much so that Mark just has to tell her sometimes

“I’m really glad you are in NCT with us JiHo”

Even during the most random moments, like when he was doing a live stream with some of the dreamies and JiHo wasn’t even there

After a few seconds of silence, “wow, don’t you think JiHo did such a great job in our last MV? I think she was the best.”

Of course the Chenle had to tease him for that

High fives is the most physical they get, they aren’t really ’huggers’ when it comes to each other, but you can find them holding on to each other after their legs give out from laughing too hard

Besides that, he’s also very reassuring and will compliment her whenever he thinks she’s being to harsh on herself

Xiaojun:

Xiaojun openly expresses his appreciation for JiHo to her

Whenever they are having one of their many long conversations, he always manages to slip in a compliment or two (and vice-versa)

The way he shows his love is very natural, so for the untrained eye you might never catch one of those moments, but JiHo knows and that’s all what matters

High fives and a quick shoulder pat in passing, nothing special to see here, just a friendly gesture of saying “I’m glad I know you”

Hendery:

Small gestures like a thumbs up (their signature thing) or a smile in JiHo’s direction

Like Mark will definitely compliment her randomly, but almost exclusively when she’s not there

Usually around the WayV members, but they can’t keep nothing to themselves so JiHo knows he’s been complimenting her ^^

Will offer her his snacks or for her to try his beverage whenever he’s having something and JiHo isn’t

He honestly just wants to get closer to her, because they still have their awkward moments together

Renjun:

Renjun is very supportive and reassuring, but always in a cool way

Like he will just casually tell her she’s doing well or how she should go for something without making a big deal out of it

Whenever he really wants to praise her and get’s all sentimental and soft, he makes sure she isn’t anywhere near him or that she won’t find out about it

If she does, he’ll just straight up deny it and act disgusted

JiHo used to hate it when Renjun would randomly pat her head or shoulder, but then she realised he does it whenever he can’t verbally express himself (more specifically his appreciation for her or when he’s proud of her)

Jeno:

They already have a very openly affectionate relationship

Jeno can get really protective of JiHo so it’s nothing new to see him with his arm around the girl’s shoulder

Even though they have a sibling kind of bond, it’s not the kind where they want to pull each other’s hair out every so often

So it’s really not that hard for Jeno to just give her hugs and compliment her whenever he feels like it

Haechan:

“Painfully” aggressive side hugs

The sentiment is for sure there, but every time Haechan tackles her in one of those hugs, she thinks she might find a bruise somewhere on her body the next day

He’ll just pull her in and ruffle her head with his knuckles while cooing at the girl

He isn’t really clingy or touchy towards JiHo outside that really (only when he wants to tease her)

Because Haechan knows she gets a bit annoyed it when he hugs her so aggressively, that’s exactly why he does it

He’ll do anything to tease her and he knows that JiHo never holds a grudge because of his teasing

Besides the hugs, he’ll mostly just show his love through his expression (soft but proud smiles) or just him cheering her on in the back

Jaemin:

You may or may not already know that JiHo likes giving Jaemin back hugs

Well, Jaemin picked up on this and every once in a while you’ll catch him giving the smaller girl a back hug

We all know how much Jaemin loves aegyo, whenever any one does aegyo he spontaneously joins and the same counts for when JiHo does (at least whenever she’s forced to do it)

You’ll always find him watching JiHo with a big smile on his face (he’s so soft for her)

Yangyang:

This is all speculation okay? BUT

Fans believe they have made their own secret language

They have been spotted just looking at each other, making weird facial expressions and moving their bodies in weird ways and all of a sudden they just laugh or continue on like they had a conversation and understood each other

Yangyang will just hug JiHo

He will also hype her up, during practise or whenever she’s talking during a live stream or another kind of schedule

Shotaro:

Subtle touches like:

He’ll stand really close to JiHo so their shoulders/arms are pressed together or

While laughing will subtly put his hand on the girl’s shoulder

Shotaro really likes JiHo because she took care of him a lot when he first joined NCT so he has so much respect for her

That becomes quite apparent whenever she’s talking, because he’ll always try to pay all of his attention to her (as long as none of the members distract him)

Sungchan:

A lot of things JiHo do makes him smile

Sungchan really wants to be in a unit with JiHo because he thinks she’s really cool, so he mostly just compliments her on her work ethic and performance

Is very straightforward about it like Renjun, but isn’t afraid to be very expressive about it

If he sounds sappy so be it

It’s become more of a habit as they grew closer, but he’ll subtly either rest his arms on her head or shoulders while standing behind or beside her

He wasn’t sure if she’d be okay with it, because she isn’t touchy with most members, but he was pleasantly surprised when JiHo let him do as he pleased

Now he’ll sometimes just put his hands on both of her shoulders and squeeze them a few times before moving on as a sign of gratefulness or in a way to comfort her

Chenle:

Also one of those subtle, sneaky boys

He’ll mostly just keeps an eye out for JiHo to makes sure she’s alright when he knows she isn’t feeling 100%

Smiley when she is being particularly cute (in his eyes) that day

Let’s her choose the music they’ll listen to or game they are going to play during their chill sessions

Chenle tries to involve JiHo in a lot of things when he’s hanging out with some of the other members (mainly with Dream)

Jisung:

He’s a bit more shy when it comes to physically and verbally expressing his love and appreciation towards JiHo so he’ll find other ways to do so

Whenever they go somewhere or are doing a live stream and there aren’t enough chairs, he’ll gladly give his chair up for JiHo

Or when he sees JiHo looking for a bottle of water he will get her one without her having asked for it

He’ll sometimes gets teased for it by his hyungs by getting told he’s acting like a “cold gentleman” because he likes to keep things low-key

He gets too embarrassed to just do those things straight forward

But if there’s ever a very emotional moment and Jisung just feels the need to express his love for the girl, he will pull her into a hug no problem
