• ashley is definitely very clingy. she loves it when you give all of your attention to her and her only.

• you and her aren't too keen on PDA but when some asshole is eyeing up ashley for too long you be petty and kiss her on the cheek, while making direct eye contact with the person who was looking at your girl. ashley is a teeny bit oblivious to this and just thinks its you being affectionate and she coos at you for it.

• ash loves spoiling you, you being the kind person that you are always feels bad when she spends too much money on you but she reassures you everytime that its something she loves doing

• you love to pick ashley up and spin her around (no matter if you're taller or shorter, you're determined) and she thinks its adorable.

• you tend to daze off easily and to catch your attention ashley peppers kisses all over your face to get you out of that daydream.

• ash still keeps in touch with leon and you 3 go out and chill sometimes

• you love to cook for her when she comes home from classes

• ashley loves whatever you do for her so you always try to do something big for her birthday every year; and vice versa.

• you like to tease ashley and see her face heat up and her nose scrunch, you think its the cutest thing

• ashley's dad approves of you two even though it took him some time

Excellent news! The novelization of the Fantasy Heroine youtube shorts series is out, and it's good! $3 for the pre-ordered ebook would have been well worth it just for Leo's POV. I mean, look at him refusing the Only One Bed scenario the author is trying to force her heroine into:

But there's so much more! There's Caroline's life, and the things that drive her to write the way she does! There's absolutely all of the characters refusing to act like two-dimensional fictional characters who only care about the superficial physical attractiveness of whoever they're supposed to be shipped with!! And instead finding partners who actually have compatible values and life goals!!!

And it's *also* still a fun silly fantasy romance adventure!

Hallo, I'm back again with another music talk!! As I said in my last one, I basically am just talking about music I like, what I've been listening to the last week and rambling. Anyways enough of that, let's get straight into it😊

Okay to start off I'm going to talk about the playlist i've mainly been listening to this week. This playlist is called 'pacify her' . It's called that because I was listening to that song while making it. I don't really know what kind of genre the music in this playlist is but I'd say they all sound really cool. While making this playlist i found an artist called 'jack of jill' her music is so good, her song 'vivica' is definitely worth checking out. In addition to 'jack off Jill' i also found another artist named 'johnny goth', his songs just sound so otherworldly i really don't know how to explain it. He has some really sick instrumental parts in his songs, i really recommend listening to him! The band 'i monster' also showed up a lot on this playlist, i've been listening to them for a while now but have discovered some new songs by them as well. I initially found this band through their song called 'who is she' . This song is really good, however I would think my favourite song by them is actually 'lust for a vampyr'. The album covers this band makes are just so good oh my life, anyways i think 'i monster' is definitely one of my favourite bands currently😊

Anyways this playlist has a lot of really good songs, it's definitely worth listening to!!

I know i rambled about melanie martinez in the last music talk but i'm going to do it again anyways😔

The closer we get to the album release the more excited I get, all the spoilers Melanie has been giving are so exciting. Her new form is looking so cool, she looked absolutely gorgeous performing at lollapalooza!! This morning she released a song from her new album early and i have to say that 'death' is actually such an amazing song. It's a bit different from what we were used to from Melanie but I personally think that the change is good. The new style compliments her vocals really nicely!

Lately with the snippets of Melanie's album having been released I've been seeing a lot of people hating on her. I think this has been happening due to her changing aesthetics and music style a bit; which is really not an excuse though. I get that it's a bit of an adjustment to move on from Crybaby especially if you grew up with her like myself but Melanie has been planning this for years now! Melanie said in an interview a few years back that Crybaby is going to evolve as a being/ soul and she's finally getting to do that with this album and I am honestly living for the dark fairy vibe that she's going with. It may be because I listen to a lot of genres compared to others but I really like how the new songs sound. They are less soft than things she's previously made but it really isn't too different. Melaine has always been weird and displayed that very clearly in her songs and music videos for years now and yet she's getting hate from people who claim to be fans only now? See I understand not liking her newer stuff, you're not obligated to; but that doesn't mean you can be such haters either. People need to learn to humanise celebrities more, Melanie doesn't deserve even half the hate she gets.

On a lighter note this album means that she will likely go on tour again meaning i may get a chance to see her perform live for the first time!!!

The song that is second from being my top listened to in my stats called 'angry' is so good oh my life. When i first went to check who the artist was and saw 'mars argo' i was shocked because i could have sworn i knew her from somewhere. Turns out she made a popular tik tok sound that goes 'welcome to my computer show, im mars argo', anyways i just thought that was kind of cool. Mars has such good vocals, I think I'm probably going to look into more of her songs soon.

To end this off I'm just going to ask for music recommendations, I listen to most genres so feel free to send in anything! If i like something enough i might mention it in my next blog, you never know🤷

Random TV Shows

that I love and have rewatched because I’m stuck in a hospital 🥲 (in no specific order)

1. Ratched

This will forever be my favorite show. Sarah Paulson as Mildred Ratched just made me so, so happy. And the aesthetic just blew me away. THE COLORS.

2. Castle

I loved this show so much until all the drama with Nathan Fillion happened. That just ruined the show for me. But let me just say - Stana Katic is phenomenal. I actually got to meet her on set and she was the sweetest soul.

3. Bones

Such a comfort show. I love them all. I didn’t like the whole pregnancy and running away stuff but well.. you win some, you lose some.

4. Desperate Housewives

Absolutely amazing. I love this show (and the hot women!)

5. Modern Family

I started watching this one because we had a class on tv in college. I was hooked after one episode. Such a sweet show with so many important messages.

6. Rizzoli & Isles

In my head they’re together.

7. Grey’s Anatomy

This show is my home base. The first show I was ever obsessed with and now watching it feels like a warm home cooked meal.

8. Orange is the new Black

I LOVED this show when it first came out. So much that I dyed my hair black because I thought that it’d make me as hot as Alex.

9. Parks & Rec

Leslie Knope will forever be my spirit animal. This show makes me feel like I’m being wrapped in a warm blanket.

10. American Horror Story & American Crime Story Impeachment

I mean my whole tumblr is filled with that show. Coven will forever be my safe place!

And I know it’s two shows but I just had to mention ACS because of how good Lady Paulson was in it!

OTHERS

11. Jack & Jill

I remember my mom watching that show when I was supposed to be in bed. I was allowed to stay with my parents downstairs but only if I didn’t face the TV and actually tried to sleep. Which I never did. Loved Sarah Paulson ever since.

12. Body of Proof

Honestly I just watched that one because it has Dana Delany and she’s super hot.

13. Suits

It still hurts my soul to even think about that show. It’s just so good and the only show with a heterosexual couple that I absolutely love and adore. I miss this show every single day.

14. Sex and the City

A childhood favorite and I am actually embarrassed about how many times I’ve rewatched it.

15. Friends

I have rewatched this one a million times. Probably every single year since it first aired.

for a first date claire would definitely try to keep it cute and simple. maybe a homecooked meal (you would have to help a little she hasn't cooked anything in a while), then a nice stroll out on the town — and cuddling up on the couch when you two got home. claire loves affection, her love language would be touch and she would be holding your hand the whole way of you two's stroll. with you cracking jokes, and her just smiling so hard her cheeks started to hurt; the both of you were having an amazing time. coming back home to cuddle would be the icing on the cake, while claire held you in your arms she placed a soft kiss on your forehead then asked you how the date went. you being the honest and straightforward person you were, simply said

"so when's our next date?"

okay so there's are enough of these questions that I'm gonna answer this in parts because otherwise (a) I'll never finish and (b) tumblr WILL end up earing my drafts and I wince just thinking about that. So here we go-

1. a book that is close to your heart

The Beginning by K.A. Applegate. Anyone who's spent some time on my tumblr knows about my obsession with this series. It drilled into my ear and took over all higher life form function way back when I was an impressionable pre-teen. And then after sometime, when I thought I'd found other things to obsess about, I found copies of the final arc and it decided to permanently take up residence in my brain.

The Beginning is the final installment of the Animorphs series, which famously feature kids turning into animals to fight brain stealing alien puppeteers. It's not a climax- it's a extended denouement, because the books have always been about how children people are affected by war as much as as it was about the actual war. Animorphs also ended on a very bittersweet note, something unthinkable to baby me who had never seen a story end this way before. It was a learning experience.

"Jake, you can't . . ." She took a deep breath. "You can't equate the victim and the perpetrator."

"So as long as you're playing defense it's not possible to commit a war crime?" I asked. "That's pretty close to just saying that the winner makes the rules because it's the winner who writes the history."

She grabbed my arm and searched for my eyes, forcing me to look at her. "No, Jake, it isn't. There are a lot of close calls in history, lots of wars where the blame is evenly split between the sides. This isn't one of them. Before they came to Earth no human ever attacked a Yeerk. No human ever harmed a Yeerk. This one is clear: We are the victims. They made war on us."

"That's good," I said softly. "All of that is good. We have justification. We're the good guys."

Marco said, "That's right, Big Jake, we are."

I nodded. "That's good for the big picture. See, my problem is a little more personal."

Ax asked.

"Well, Ax-man, you're right, you did call my attention to the possibilities on the Pool ship. And when you did that I guess I should have thought, Well, Jake, it's a harsh, terrible thing to do, but you're justified because, after all, you're the victim here. But that's not what I thought. You know what I thought?"

Cassie released her grip on me. But Marco just took a step up close, right in my face.

"I know what you thought, Jake. You thought Die, you filthy worms. Feel the fear, Yeerks. Feel the pain. Feel the helplessness. You wanted them to suffer and the idea of them suffering and dying made you happy. You were thrilled. You were high."

Cassie winced. She looked away.

I said, "Yeah, Marco. That was about it: word for word."

9. your favourite book of 2020 2022

2022 has been a weird year, reading-wise. My goodreads list is as bare as a chocolate box after two hours in my company, because the site is not good at tracking webtoons and webnovels. Which in turn makes it harder for me to remember what I liked and how much I liked it, because that's 90% of why I use goodreads in the first place. So you know, answering this makes me twitchy, because if I'm not keeping track how would I even know what my favorite is?

BUT. I can tell you which story IMMEDIATELY made me consume other adaptations, scour through all of its Ao3 pages, and go on a re-read almost instantly after the fanfics ran out and it's Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo. Also, it has an active tumblr fanbase- glory be.

Spy x Family is about a spy, an assassin, and a telepath playing house. It's about found family. It's about two people you really wouldn't peg as parent material at first look being the most adorable parents ever. It's about people calmly accepting (and in most cases not even recognizing) each other's weirdness. It's about the humanity in war-torn places and war-torn people. Also there are a bunch of first graders who are having their own drama and it is somehow vastly entertaining.

10. a book that got you through something

deep sigh. Okay, so I have a few mixed feelings about these books today that I didn't have when I first read them, but hear me out here.

Once upon a time, I entered into college as a bright-eyed, hopeful child who was sure she'd have the world within her grasp soon. Fast forward eight months and I was a depressed wreck who spent an hour a day crying and moving slowly but steadily towards suicidal thoughts. Suffice to say, it was not a good time.

In those trying times, books 1 and 2 of the Dresden Files gave me some much-needed laughs. Book 3, Grave Peril, went a step further, making me actually care about the worldbuilding and the character, giving characters actual losses, and getting me emotionally invested in everyone. The rest of the series accompanied me though my hellish time in college, and while it was probably not the best coping mechanism, I'm thankful it was there. Anything to quiet down the screaming in my head a little.

Ok ok. So obviously I recommend all the shows on my masterlist which would be

Peacemaker (HBO max), titans (hbomax), criminal minds (Netflix/hulu), 911 and 911 lonestar (hulu), the one Chicago shows (peacock), stranger things (Netflix), and legends of tomorrow (Netflix)

Gonna put the rest under the cut and describe them a bit

Being human (uk version) is one of my all time favorite shows. It follows a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost that live together. Very drama and also very funny. It’s for 5 seasons but it’s British so the seasons aren’t long. That’s on Amazon prime

Grimm is another of my comfort shows. It’s about a detective who can see these creatures who are called Wesen and they’re all based on fairytales. 6 seasons and it’s on Amazon prime as well

Doom patrol is amazing. Definitely recommend if you like crazy and also sad. There’s stuff like a non-binary sentient street, sex ghosts, werebutts while also making you want cry. It’s a spin-off of titans technically and honestly it’s so much better. It’s got 3 seasons and I think it got renewed for 4? This is on hbomax

X-Files is a good background show unless you’re super into aliens and conspiracy. One of my favorite shows since I was 7 but the plot episodes bore me to death tbh so I do it as background noise but I have some really great recs for episodes. 11 seasons on Hulu

Psych is such a great love of mine. A guy who’s really good at picking up on clues pretends to be psychic and works with the police department with his best friend. 8 seasons, a musical episode, and 3 movies. Amazon prime has the 8 seasons but peacock has all of them

Glow is set in the 80’s and is abour women’s wrestling. Such an amazing show but it ended on a cliffhanger and didn’t get renewed 😩 but it has 3 seasons on Netflix

Recently started watching Minx which only has one season, haven’t finished it yet but it’s an amazing sex postive show that also takes place in the 80’s, lots of dicks and boobs in it. Hbomax

What we do in the shadows is both an amazing movie and tv show. Follows vampires that are kinda dorky. Definitely a silly show. 3 seasons on Hulu and i also believe ir was renewed for season 4

Our flag means death. Taiki waiti is a master of everything (he also works on what we do in the shadows) gay pirates. That’s all I can say. 1 season on hbomax

The Muppet Show. This is pure nostalgia for me and I just want everyone to watch it. Great background noise, it’s how I learned most old music growing up. If you like Star Wars I would suggest at least watching the mark hamil episode. 5 seasons of Disney plus
