"Notes - part 1" (read desc only if curious)

Thought I'd do a little hierarchy building as the first step for creating a world for my OCs to live in 🤭

So, long story short, the reality my characters live in is divided into three worlds aka planets under the names of the colours' first letters, e.g. R for the Red planet, B for the Blue one and Y for Yellow. Despite all three planets coexisting (and existing, in general) thanks to Jin and Janah's creation, they couldn't watch all three civilisations on their own, hence, out of the humans' part selected and collected away from Earth, they made a couple of henchmen aka the Watchers for doing their duty and observing as well as ruling over the particular planet.

For planet R - organ peeps aka the henchmen that represent the core of humanity, all their fears, passions, needs and desires; for the planet B - cat people aka representers of mind, quirkiness, cleverness and independence; for the planet Y - mirror people aka representers of all the divine connectivity, self reflection, wisdom and collectivity.

However, as it can be seen, some planets didn't manage to be led as Janah and Jin wanted them to, hence, out of three worlds, only one of them remains stable to this very day, which is Planet B that somehow managed not only to exist on its own, but also greet those survived refugees and escapees of worlds Y and R that managed to get away from the J Gods' wrath. And, of course, as now the worlds have basically collided into one place in one time, it is easier for Janah and Jin to take care of things themselves by not only watching the population of the Planet B to rise and flourish, but also invade a small stubborn pawn into the parliament of their desires aka Astra

Do ya'll ever think about how every character in MDZS is living in a radically different genre of story?

Cause yeah, sure Wei Wuxian is living in a danmei fantasy novel with strong romantic comedy elements, but if you slide over a bit Lan Wangji is living a serious and heady drama about regret, loss, yearning, the passage of time, and ultimately atonement.

Scooch on over to Xichen and your in a straight up Greek tragedy, right down to the parable about hubris and trust. Jin Guangyao is living meanwhile in a political dark fantasy al'la Game of Thrones, Nie Huaisang is in a Gothic moody Monte Cristo-esque reflection on revenge and deception, and while Lan Sizhuhi and Jin Ling are living in two VERY different YA fantasy books ('magic boarding school/secret orphan of destiny' and 'Steven Universe style coming of age/discovering all your family are some flavor of evil and magic' respectively).

Everyone connected to Yi City is living inside a dark psychological thriller/horror flick, except for Xue Yang who is in a Found Family/Enemies to Lover fic right up until he isn't.

Jiang Cheng's entire life has been one long soap opera, and it is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.

one of my favorite headcanons with little to no canon support is that xue yang and mo xuanyu were guidao jin disciples at the same time, and mxy mentioned a few times wanting to ressurect the yiling laozu to kill his mom's evil family, so when xy saw him (or rather his body) entering yi city AS the yllz, he was like "son of a bitch he actually did it"
