Comparable to: Healing Food, Healing Love (cdrama)

It’s a cute fluffy that turned later half into a semi dramatic cdrama that dealt nicely with the mental health issues. First half for me was super cute with the light heartedness of it with the dash of extra cheese to it. I must add that the smexy kisses/chemistry brought the extra spice to it as well. Oof wast expecting some of them. It’s drama is also relatively short with sixteen episodes of being thirty minutes a piece which makes it one of those fun quick watches. Love those where you either can’t fine nothing to watch or have way too many and can’t decide which one. I’m always in the later category. Overall this is definitely a nice quick much watch for those romcom fans.

Welcome to the 'Best Character with [X] surname' polls!

This is where I take several characters from different Chinese media (mostly cnovels and cdrama) and run a poll on which one is the 'best'. What does best mean? It's up to you! Whether you love them, are intrigued by their characters, love to hate them, or they're your '2 second blorbos whose personality you made up wholesale', these are all reasons for you to vote for your favs!

NB: the surnames are not exactly the same in all the cases, as often they will be a different character. I am, however, grouping them all together otherwise things got more complicated.

If you can't find a surname, it's because I couldn't find enough candidates (at least 3 from 3 distinct medias) to compete. Feel free to submit candidates!

heelo !! im really sorry ive been gone for so long. smthing happened, then another, then another, and it just made it really hard for me to come back

i meant to return sooner, so im again really really sorry for being away so long, and especially that i left so suddenly and without explanation

im still really busy and unfortunately cannot go back to posting right now, but i wanted to come on and just explain i havent like, abandoned this acc.

i really want to post for the next full year, but atm im not sure if ill be able to

again i am just so so sorry about this, i absolutely love posting on here but i just couldnt for a while

here are the birthdays i missed as well as just the rest of the year in case i dont get back

Review of drama:

Good action scenes and good whump. No aftercare for those who were looking for it. Very realistic whump and clear exhaustion is seen in the behavior of the characters in the later episodes when they have been going through the tomb for hours. I like the character development for Ma Da Dan, who also got the ending he deserved, after all the trials of the tomb. Luckily, I was able to post this exactly one year after the previous one. I apologize to anyone who was waiting for it, though seeing the amount of interaction on the previous one, not many people were. I will start working on the third season soon, for those looking for it. If I missed anything, please feel free to let me know and any requests for whump lists are welcome. Synopsis :

Lawyer Qin Shi is focused on her career but is rushed into the marriage by her parents. The top law firm "Cheng and Hui" is recruiting lawyers specializing in family affairs, and one of the requirements is to be married. Qin Wen Yu, Qin Shi's second brother, secretly changed Qin Shi's marital status to "married" without her knowledge, creating a fictional husband for her. Not knowing anything, Qin Shi is employed by the firm.

Her outstanding performance earned the approval of the founder Lao Jin. During a gathering with partners, Lao Jin recommends Qin Shi to be the legal counsel for the Association of Women Entrepreneurs. It is only then Qin Shi realizes that she is purportedly married.

Qin Shi decides to clarify the situation to Lao Jin, but at this moment, her "husband", Yang Hua, appears. He's forced by his mother to come for a matchmaking session with Qin Shi's competitor. Feeling resentful over his mother's forceful actions, he forms an alliance with Qin Shi to benefit from the situation. They hit it off immediately and impulsively decide to register their marriage. However, both their parents sense something wrong with the situation.

My thoughts on this drama :

I started this one based on the cast. I was curious to see Yang Mi in a modern drama. The story itself is nothing too interesting, but I like the dynamic older woman - younger man for once. She's an established lawyer vs a protected mamaboy. Though there was little chemistry between the actors, they did a pretty good job portraying their characters, it just was not believable enough.
