Succubus Pt 2 (M)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jiwoo x Reader (S) Prompt: Succubus/Incubus/Demon Word Count: 5K
Warnings: Smut, angst
~Admin V
Part 1
It’d been two years since you summoned Jiwoo and you couldn’t remember how life was before her. Of course, your time together was deeply sexual, but it had become more than that.
After only a few days of your arrangement, Jiwoo decided that she didn’t want you to work, where someone else used her body for a minimal amount of money. She took care of your financial obligations which allowed you to pursue interests you actually cared about, such as writing, art, dance, and cooking. This also allowed her to make you cum anytime she wanted, but you suspected it wasn’t the only reason she did this.
Other than sex, your relationship with one another grew in other ways. You often asked her questions about herself, her hobbies, if she had a life outside of being a succubus. She also asked you questions about favorite foods and activities you enjoyed which is how she learned of your love for the seaside. This prompted her to further spoil you and buy you a little beach cottage to live in.
At first, she was reluctant, but after some puppy-dog-eyes and other ways of persuasion, you were able to convince her to go out with you, as if it were a date. This led to other dates and outings together. She even agreed to meet your friends. There was excitement in seeing both her approval and opinions of them, as they showed the same for her. She was much more hesitant about you meeting her friends, being a demon and all. She finally gave in and allowed you to meet another succubus, Somin, but made it clear she wanted you to never meet J.seph or Matthew, who were true Hell demons.
When you got sick, she took care of you. She prepared hot soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. She tucked you into a blanket cocoon. She insisted on eating you out because she claimed the rush of endorphins would help you feel better. Then she’d tell you stories until you fell asleep wrapped in her arms.
She stayed with you even when you weren’t fucking each other. She’d watch you read books and paint. She also danced with you and encouraged you when you exercised. The two of you could sit in comfortable silence, not interacting at all, but existing together in the same space.
It wasn’t just sex between you, or a contract of requirement. It was love. Jiwoo had never said it, and you yourself were a bit afraid to admit it, but in your heart, you knew it was.
That’s why you decided to plan this special anniversary dinner for her. You had a surprise for her. You couldn’t be sure how she’d react, but knowing there was love, you expected a good outcome.
The table on the balcony was all set up in fancy dishware and folded cloth napkins. You made her orange chicken and were sure there were absolutely no carrots in the rice and mixed veggies. In the house you had a myriad of lit tea candles. You even made your bed up in the soft pink sheets she’d gotten you for your birthday.
You were pulling the crab Rangoon out of the oven when you heard the winds of her appearing behind you. Her arms snaked around your waste and her lips were at your left ear. “What’s all this, pet? Special occasion?”
After setting the hot tray down on the counter, you turned to face her, unable to hide your smile. “A special occasion, yes.” You gave her a chaste kiss.
Your smile grew as you watched her pretend to not know what today was. “Hmmm, I know it’s not your birthday, as we only recently celebrated that.”
“You know what today is, queen.”
She gasped with desire when you called her by the name. She pulled your hips flush against hers, her lips but centimeters from yours. “I’d never forget the day we met.” And with that you were kissing again. It was much more passionate as she sucked your lower lip into her mouth, licking then nibbling it. When you moaned she slid her tongue in against yours. Your head spun, never getting used to her sweet cinnamon taste.
You pushed her back, breathless for air. “Don’t you want to eat dinner first?”
She gave you a knowing look. “We both know life is uncertain so we should always have desert first.” Jiwoo softly chucked at your little pout.
“But all the food will get cold.”
Grinning against your lips, she spoke into you. “I don’t care.” And with that her tongue was back in your mouth, sliding like satin with yours. The kiss deepened as you were being led into the bedroom. Jiwoo’s mouth moved to your neck causing you to cry out in pleasure as she began undressing you. Likewise, you sloppily pulled at her clothes until they were off her.
Pulling back, her hands lingered on your hips before she turned to crawl on the bed. After propping up the pillows she wanted and making herself comfortable, she stared at you, making you shake with need. You whimpered, still stunned at her beauty.
She smirked. “Come sit on my face, babygirl.”
Carefully, you crawled on the bed and placed a knee on either side of her face. Your ass slightly rested on her collarbone, but you kept most of the weight on your knees. You leaned forward to grab hold of the headboard. “I’m ready, mistress.”
Your moan was instant when her tongue poked at your clit. She lapped at it making your eyes roll back. Jiwoo held onto your thighs, keeping her pace while licking you. Jolts of pleasure streamed from your clitoris, moving down your legs to your toes and up your body, radiating in your chest with each press of her tongue against you. As you started panting, she squeezed your thighs and switched from licking to sucking. The white heat of the orgasm was building, making you grip the bed frame harder. Your body started shaking and you screamed out her name. She sucked harder until you climaxed. Your moan echoed in the room, if not the whole cottage.
You could feel the cum dripping down, and as she savored it, she pushed a finger inside you, moving it around in a circle feeling all your edges. Her focus of licking was in the areas around your clit. Another finger pushed into you, moving in the same circular motion of her licking. She kept the pace slow and even, causing shivers to rip through your body. Cries of pleasure mixed with her name as she brought you to the edge once again.
After you came once more, Jiwoo tapped your thighs, signaling for you to lift up. You maintained your grip on the headboard as she slid out from under you. Too focused on regaining your breath and your heart making your chest vibrate, you didn’t see it, but you heard her materialize her silk pouch of toys. It took her only seconds to fit the strap-on in place then she knelt behind you. “Ready, pet?”
Nodding vigorously, it would only be audible to her as you whispered, “Yes, please Jiwoo.”
She placed the tip at your entrance then held onto your hips, pushing all the way in. Desire flooded from your lips. As usual, she pulled out slowly, leaving only the tip in then thrusted hard and fast back in. The angle made the head of the dildo hit your g-spot.
             “Tell me, babygirl.”
“Fuck, it’s so good, Jiwoo. You’re so good.”
Pulling almost all the way out ever so slowly then pumping back in hard made you cry out with each thrust. You continued to hold onto the headboard, leaning into it with each pump. She’d made you so wet from her previous ministrations, in glided in effortlessly, hitting your walls and pleasure-points so deliciously.
“Yes, yes mistress,” you moaned as she rubbed against the g-spot.
She moved one hand to your breast, tweaking the nipple, her other found its way to your clit to rub up and down as she pushed into you, and her teeth found the crook of your neck, nibbling and leaving small love bites. Thrusting, tweaking, rubbing, biting, she had you close again. You leaned your head back on Jiwoo’s shoulder. You turned to kiss her, only adding to the buildup of endorphins. Your hands left the bed frame, one resting on top of Jiwoo’s holding your breast, the other over her hand rubbing your bud. She pressed her body against yours, holding you against her as she pumped hard into you.
Before you knew it, you’d reached your third orgasm of the night, and you knew Jiwoo was anything but finished. As she slowly pulled out all the way this time, you whined at the sudden emptiness.
She turned you, then pulled you into a messy kiss. Your hands grabbed at her shoulder blades as hers wove into your hair. The warmth of her breath, silky press of her tongue against yours made you lightheaded. Your breasts pushed against hers, causing you to groan when you felt her pert nipples. Her hand wandered to your front again. After a few swirls on your clit, she continued moving her fingers until she pushed two fingers in you. It was such a different feel from the dildo, but it was her, and she still made you quake and squeal with longing.
Letting you catch your breath as an especially loud moan left you, she began leaving small kisses on your collarbone. “What do you want pet? Tell me how to make you feel good.” You moaned as her thumb rubbed against your clit while she continued fingering you.
“I,” more pleasure sounded, “I wanna ride you.”
A mischievous chuckle came from Jiwoo. You were close to exploding further, but she stopped right before you were at the precipice. Her smile grew when you whimpered. “I want you to be this close, this sensitive as you ride me, babygirl.”
She again made herself comfortable as she lay on her back in the bed. You reached for her hands while she helped you to be in a straddling position. The strap-on was still covered in your earlier ejaculate, making you excited and shake in anticipation. Jiwoo squeezed your hands and you both stared into each other’s eyes as you slid down on her.
Your mouth opened at the stretch. You’d never get enough of her.
“You’re so sexy, pet.” Her lips parted after hearing a particularly loud cry from you. “You’re not even moving yet and you’re ready to burst.”
It was true. You hadn’t moved since sinking down on the dildo, but you were ready to climax again.
“Not yet, baby.” Her words made you whimper with need. She slid her hands to your waist, the sensation giving you goosebumps. “Ride me.”
Biting your lip to give you some control, you began gyrating, rolling your hips in an even rhythm, holding your breasts since Jiwoo’s hands were holding you.
The position also helped to stimulate your sensitive little bud. She squeezed your waist causing you to also squeeze your chest. Little tingles spread from from your nipples as your palms brushed against them. You kept your movement slow, enjoying the ride. The waves flowed from your clitoris spreading out through your body, making you squeeze your breasts harder. The strap-on slide in and out only slightly, but you tightened around it, feeling every curve inside you. “I’m so close, mistress. So close.” Another moan rippled from your lips.
“Describe what you’re feeling, baby girl.”
You rolled your hips into her, taking the toy to the hilt. “It’s so thick and filling me. Sensation growing from my clit being rubbed.” You couldn’t help but moan, as you were almost at your peak. You’d planned to tell Jiwoo more of how she was making you feel, but you were at a loss for words. Your head fell back, your hips moving back then gyrating into her again. You reached for her hands and pushed them down to your hips. “Please. Please.”
She smirked as she pulled your hips. She moved so suddenly, so harsh that you screamed as your orgasm rocked through your body. When you calmed down, she helped you to climb off her. She kissed your nose and retreated to the bathroom. When she returned, the strap-on was off and she had a warm wash cloth to clean you up. She giggled each time your body jerked when she cleaned an overstimulated spot. After, she lay next to you, petting your hair off your forehead.
Jiwoo chuckled looking at you. “Why are you pouting again, babygirl?”
“I’m so sleepy. We didn’t even get to eat. I have a surprise for you, too.”
“It will all be there when you wake up.”
You yawned. “Could you at least put the food away?”
She smiled wide then softly kissed your lips. “Yes, pet.”
Your eyelids grew heavy, but you held her hand. “Jiwoo, I love you.” And you were out.
As always after sex with Jiwoo, when you woke up you were a little disoriented. She was no longer in bed with you. Usually she put pajamas on you, but you were still naked. Knowing you needed to hydrate, you made your way to the kitchen. Another frown soon covered your face. All of the food you’d prepared was still out, now spoiled. Jiwoo said she’d put it away, but she hadn’t.
Now you were a bit miffed. So much time and preparation went into making the night special, and it was all wasted. “What the hell.”
             “What the hell, indeed.”
You startled, your eyes trying to find her in the shadows. There was some kind of tension, you could definitely sense it in the air, but you wanted an explanation for why she didn’t do as she promised. “You said you’d put everything away. Now we have to throw it out. I made all your favorites . . .”
             “This is over.”
“Well yeah. I slept through our anniversary.”
Her face was stern and she shook her head. “Do you remember what you said to me last night?”
A blush crept to your cheeks. “I told you I love you.” You looked down, feeling even more bare both physically and emotionally. “I planned for it to be more of a surprise, I even prepared a . . .”
             “No.”
You looked up. Jiwoo didn’t look happy or elated in anyway. You just confessed your feelings for her and she looked mad; angrier than you’d ever seen her.
             “Jiwoo, what’s wrong?”
             “You.”
Your stomach dropped. You wrapped your arms around your chest. “What?”
She stepped closer, her voice rising in volume. “You. You ruined everything.”
All you could do was gape. Confusion didn’t even begin to cover how you felt.
             “Take it back.”
Still unsure you shook your head. “Take what back?”
             “Your love!” She yelled.
You flinched at the harshness of her sound. It felt like your heart was being ripped from your body. “What?”
She was almost chest to chest with you now. “Your love; I don’t want it. Take it back.” Her voice was quieter now, but the bite of her words lingered.
            “I can’t,” you whispered. “I won’t. I love you, Jiwoo.”
She hissed in response and her eyes flared red, making you shiver and back away from her. “Did you forget what I am, pet?” You took in her outfit, dark and edgy like the first time you met her. “I am a demon. I don’t love. Not you, not anything.”
Tears welled in your eyes. “You can’t mean that. I’ve seen it.”
Jiwoo angrily thrusted her hand towards the counters and winds flew in the same direction, blowing all of the food and dishes into the wall, breaking from impact. “You don’t get to tell me what I mean or feel.”
You whimpered her name, but it seemed to only make her fury rise. She shook her head. “This is over. It’s done. Our contract is null and void.”
Realizing what was happening, what she was trying to do, brought your anger out and gave you voice. “No, it’s not. We have a deal. A blood agreement. You can’t just end it all because you don’t love. You’re just scared.”
She used her magicks to smash more things in the room. “I am the demon. I am the one with power. I am the one who calls the shots. You have nothing. You are nothing.”
Each word stung worse than the last, but you knew if you didn’t stand your ground you’d lose her, lose your life, your love. “If I’m nothing you’d have thrown me out long ago. You wouldn’t have made our deal in the first place. You’d have just collected my soul for the real crossroads demon and let me rot in Hell. Where are we, Jiwoo? Why are we standing in a beach cottage and not the crappy apartment I lived in when we made our deal?”
Winds started swirling around Jiwoo making her hair dance. This sent more shivers down your spine, having never seen her this enraged, but you knew she wouldn’t hurt you, knew she couldn’t. “You love me just as I love you. You’re just a coward to admit it.”
Her winds shattered every window in the cottage. She rushed forward and grabbed your throat. “You dare to call me a coward?” Her eyes glowed red.
“A coward is all I see right now.”
Her hand tightened on your throat, making you gasp. Realizing her actions, she threw you to the floor and began pacing. You were still coughing when she knelt down and grabbed your throat again, softer this time. She looked into your eyes. “You will forget me. Forget this. Our arrangement never happened.”
You used all the force you possibly could and pushed her off you. She didn’t move far, but she was clearly shocked which gave you enough time to scramble away from her. “I am not a toy, Jiwoo. You don’t get to manipulate me because you’re upset with me. Our blood runs together, in my veins and yours. You can’t just make me forget you. I won’t. I will never forget you. Our contract is still intact.”
“No it’s not. You’ve served your purpose. I got your body, and I’m done with it now. I no longer want it or you. You will never see me again.”
You reached for her and called her name, but it was too late. Jiwoo was gone. You called for her, looked around the cottage, but she wasn’t there. Hot tears streamed down your face as you fell to your knees. There were too many emotions to feel. Heartbreak, anger, fear. Curling into yourself, you lay on the floor and sobbed until your tear ducts ran dry and exhaustion took over.
__
It was a different kind of nervous coming back to the crossroads. Before it was fear of what the demon would look like or how it would feel to sell your soul. Now it was fear of being denied your wish and never seeing Jiwoo again.
Only days passed since Jiwoo left you, but they were the worst of your existence. She had made you forget things when you made the deal with her, but when she told you that you weren’t anything to her, that she didn’t want you, the memories came back. Your step father also never wanted you. Told you how worthless you were. Tried to convince your mother that she didn’t need you. Made her believe he was all that mattered, and once you were of age, you shouldn’t live in her house, because she was done raising you and was no longer required to be your mother.
The empty, worthless, undesirable feeling was what you felt once again as Jiwoo took off. This was the second time someone meant to love you rejected you. It was different this time, and somehow so much worse than the first.
You’d spent days lying on the floor in the spot you watched her vanish from. It wasn’t until a cockroach crawled past your face that you were even able to move. Food held little appeal. You couldn’t even look at the bed. The only reason you showered was because you smelled of bleach and vinegar after cleaning up the mess of glass, food, and insects from the ruined anniversary dinner. She told you that you were nothing to her, but the truth was, without her, your life was nothing.
That’s when you decided to go back to the crossroads. Jiwoo said she no longer possessed your body. She didn’t want your soul. That meant both were yours to do as you please.
You used a similar Altoid’s box, filled with the hexbag and your picture and buried it in the same area as 2 years ago. It was strange that the anticipation in waiting for the demon felt exactly the same as before. You didn’t know what to expect. Jiwoo made it clear she never even wanted you to meet him. A true Hell demon is how she’d described him. Would he not look human like her?
“Mmm,” sounded behind you. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
Turning to the voice, you saw a man, who other than being incredibly handsome, looked ordinary enough.
He flashed his eyes, which glowed red just as Jiwoo’s had. “You called?”
             “J.seph?”
His brows raised in disbelief and mouth fell a bit slack. “You know me?” He recovered and now looked both pleased and amused. “Well, this is a surprise. What can I do for you, doll?”
The anxiety seemed higher this go-around, and you couldn’t stop from shaking, but you willed yourself to speak. “I want to make a deal.”
He smirked and started circling around you, quite similarly to Jiwoo. “Let’s see how I can help with that.” As he got closer, he stopped in his tracks. He visibly took two deep sniffs and the smirk left his face. “Your hers.”
Panic hit you and you started shaking your head. “I’m not. Not anymore. She ended our agreement. I’m no one’s now.”
His eyebrow raised and smirk was back. “I wouldn’t be so sure, doll. It’s no cakewalk to break a blood contract.” Unashamed, he blatantly looked you up and down. “I see why she wanted you.”
The fear was growing. You desperately wanted him to help you, but what if demons actually had loyalty and he wouldn’t because of Jiwoo. “Her contract with me is for my body. I want to make a deal using my soul.”
Both his brows raised this time. “Is that so? I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued.”
Suddenly the air around you grew frigid. It was night, but somehow it seemed darker. Any sounds of crickets and cicadas stopped. Your body shook harder.
“What. The. Fuck. Are. You. Doing?” Her voice echoed.
You should have felt terror from her rage, but you turned around eager, excited. She came, and you hadn’t even made your deal yet. She also seemed incredibly upset about you summoning J.seph. If she was here to yell, maybe punish you, it meant she still cared.
When neither you or J.seph answered, she stepped closer, bellowing louder. “I asked what the fuck you think you’re doing?”
J.seph seemed perfectly at ease. “We’re having a conversation.”
She glared at him then snapped her attention to you. “I told you never to meet him.”
“You also told me I’m nothing to you, so why would you care?” Inside you were so proud of yourself being able to clapback like that, but your body still quivered.
Her eyes flared red. She turned her attention back to J.seph. “She’s already mine. You can’t make a deal, so you can leave now.”
“Actually,” he grinned wide. “Her soul as it seems is perfectly up for grabs. So, it appears a deal can be made after all.”
Jiwoo’s aura changed and it looked like Hellfire literally glowed around her. “This is your last warning, Seph. Get out now, or I’ll make Matthew’s job look like child’s play.”
He chuckled, looking completely unphased. “Fine fine. I’m being summoned elsewhere any way.” He looked past her to you. “You know how to reach me when you’re ready for that deal.”
Jiwoo screamed and actual fire emerged from her mouth. J.seph disappeared, which left you and you alone with her fury. She turned to you. “What’s fucking going on in your mind? How stupid are you?”
Channeling the anger of your heart break, you clenched your fists. “Who are you to decide what I do with my life? It’s my soul. I can do what I want with it.”
“You can’t even begin to understand what he’d do to your soul. Idiot. He’s a Hell demon. He’s not going to promise you kittens and rainbows in exchange for your soul.”
“Why do you even care, Jiwoo?” Your voice hitched as your anger and hurt rose. “He was who I was meant to meet the first time I came to the crossroads. He would have had it in exchange for killing him. Or did you forget I’m not the soft innocent girl you’re making me out to be?”
Jiwoo spat curses as she looked away from you. “I can’t believe how fucking moronic you truly are.”
Hot tears poured down your cheeks. “Better an idiot in love than a pussy who can’t admit their feelings.”
She instantly looked up. Her expression was a mixture of disbelief and outrage. Her voice was low as she spoke this time. “You’re calling me a pussy now?”
Sniffling, you stood straight as you looked into her eyes. “Pussy, coward, scaredy-cat, wuss. Are you going to tell me you aren’t those things?”
Her fiery aura glowed once more. She snarled at you then turned to walk away from you.
“Because running away isn’t a pussy-move at all.”
Before you could blink her face was before yours, her teeth bared. Her hand reached to wrap around your throat as it did days ago, but she didn’t touch you.
More tears streaked your face. “You’re a liar too, Jiwoo,” you squeaked, no longer able to keep up the bravado.
She still held anger in her brows, but her expression softened slightly. “And how’s that now?”
You hiccupped, fully crying now. “You promised you’d never hurt me. Never make me feel pain.”
She looked away. “This pain is your own doing.”
A sarcastic laugh came from your mouth. “Of course, because loving you was actually just my desire to suffer.” Your anger was back as you looked at her this time. “But you won’t let me sell my soul because it’d suffer?”
Her lip twitched before she pushed you to the ground. You’d hit a nerve and she was trying to regain control of the situation. That wouldn’t happen if you had any say. “I remember my step father destroying my family. I remember you tossing his severed head on my kitchen table. Is that also suffering I brought upon myself?”
It was only for a second, but you saw regret cross Jiwoo’s face. You stood up to face her again. “This is bullshit, Jiwoo. It’s bullshit and you know it.” Your voice was faint as you whispered, “Why can’t you love me?”
She began pacing. “It’s complicated.” That certainly was not the response she gave you days ago.
             “Who are you?”
Jiwoo froze and met your gaze. “You know who I am.”
“No. The Jiwoo I know never avoided questions. She was forthcoming about everything. She admitted her faults. She apologized. Most of all, she never hurt me or tried to.”
For the first time, her marianismo was gone and she appeared conflicted, pained even. She ground her teeth. “I can’t. You don’t understand.”
“Then explain it to me. The Jiwoo I used to know would have.”
             She did nothing now.
Sighing, you wiped your eyes though liquid still fell from them. You were never going to win. Not when Jiwoo wouldn’t even give you answers as to why you could no longer be together. Knowing that was just as painful as when she threw you away. Nothing you could do would change her mind. Though it broke your heart further, you stretched your hand toward her. “Take your blood back.”
Her mouth dropped in shock. “What?”
“Take your blood back. Undo our contract.”
             She didn’t respond. Couldn’t.
“You don’t love me. You won’t let me sell my soul. If I can’t have you, I want nothing from you, including our contract. You told J.seph I was still yours. Undo it.”
A new emotion swept across Jiwoo’s face. Fear. You’d never seen it on her before. She whispered your name.
You thrusted your hand at her again and yelled, “Take it back!”
The two of you stared at each other for a long time. The crying had calmed your emotions. You still cried and were sad, but mostly felt numb now. You dropped your hand back to your side. “You can’t have it both ways, Jiwoo. Either you want me or you don’t. If I’m nothing to you, then end the contract.”
Her brows were scrunched, conflict taking over her emotions again. “You don’t want this.”
“You’re right, I don’t. But if you don’t want me, it’s not fair to keep me connected to you.” There was a little bit of hope, that because she seemed reluctant to actually breaking the contract instead of just saying it was null, that perhaps she would crumble and keep you.
She was stalling now, ringing her hands. “It hurts. Physically. Removing my blood from yours.”
“Nothing hurts more than not being chosen.” Of that you were an expert of.
She tried to hide her emotions, but you saw her wince. Staying expressionless, she held her hand up. You watched as her nails turned to sharp claws. She used one to cut the palm of her hand open. Grabbing your hand, she did the same to you. Her magicks came to life around you, and as it pulled her blood from your veins , you fell to your knees. She wasn’t joking about the pain. She watched stoically, not flinching in the slightest while you shrieked out in agony. Then it all stopped.
             “It’s done.”
When you looked up, she was gone. Jiwoo disappeared again, and you knew it was the last time you’d see your succubus.

Meanwhile she confessed her feelings for you.
•You would help her to get through bad times when the traumatic experiences came back in nightmares or flashbacks. Her therapist would teach you both many methods on how to help with the trauma you both went through.
•Yoon Jiwoo would feel her cheeks flushing red when you flex your muscular arms around her from all the training and gang work.
• You both buy a whole house in Seoul and an apartment in Paris in case you both wanted to get away from your work life. She would kiss your forehead to thank you for the idea to buy both. She collected enough money to let you both rest for the rest of your lives that never got caught.
•Yoon Jiwoo still couldn't show completely her feelings which she is still in therapy for. Since she wants to learn how to show you all her feelings. Because for better and worse vow you both for each other when you first became friends. Now you are girlfriends.
•You would wake up from nightmares that included Yoon Jiwoo. Yoon Jiwoo would sit up and hold you until you stop crying. While sniffling you tell her about your nightmares.
•Yoon Jiwoo and you would go on dates a lot in between going to work. After finding jobs you are both passionate about.
•You both heal each other from every traumatic experiences you both went through. You both knew you would never recover to 100%. At the same you learned a lot about each other in your relationship.
•Yoon Jiwoo asked you at marry her when you both sat together at the beach and watched the sunset. When you said yes she cried in tears of joy and happiness. Mostly in relief if she is honest to herself. Your and her best friends recorded the whole romantic scene.
•Your friends became her friends as well. She get's along with your best friend. Who thanked her for making you smiling again.
•Yoon Jiwoo rarely said the three words. At the same time she knew that she loves you since she first saw you. Even though she pushed away these feelings to get through the grief of losing her dad. Sometimes she still blamed herself and missed her dad. At some night she couldn't believe that he is truly gone.
•You both marry each other at a place where you both feel like home. Only your friends and best friend were there when you both marry each other. She gave you to Yoon Jiwoo in front of the place. You both have tears in your eyes when you say your vows and I do. It's rare that Jiwoo cried in front of you.
•Yoon Jiwoo started a serious and deep conversation with you about having children together two years after being married. She knew she wanted you to carry the most of the children.
•You both cried together when you gave birth. She never left your side and became overprotective in every journey of your pregnancies.
•Yoon Jiwoo taught your children a lot about life. Especially how to not trust every person that they may meet in their lives. How you both love your children unconditionally. You both protected your children as good as you could together.

Hey!! Can I ask for a scenario with LOONA's Chuuves (Chuu + Yves), where they are arguing on who you're favorite member LOONA member is and trying to give you gifts (bribe you) to choose them, but then you end up choosing someone else (because you can't choose between your girlfriends/want to mess with them a bit)? 💕
Chuu x Yves x Reader
I like.. Choerry
"Come on Y/N just tell Chuu I'm your favorite, you're just being cruel at this point."
Chuu looked at you angrily waiting for your answer, her cheeks all red because of how she keeps holding her breath out of anger, which to be honest is really cute.
"I won't choose, end of discussion."
You turned your back at them and walked towards the other girls, annoyed by this never ending argument. They followed you and sat on both of your sides, trapping you.
"You don't have to, you already did at some point, it's only natural."
Yves continued, she was unusally persistent today, Chuu probably told her she was your favorite.
You looked at the concerned girl suspisciously.
"You started this didn't you ?"
Your girlfriend looked at you innocently.
"I only said the truth."
"Which would be ?"
"That I'm your favorite out of the twelve of us because I'm the cutest."
The statement was obviously paired with a cute face, everything to make you agree. But you knew better than to get into your girlfriends' arguments.
"I never said that."
You wouldn't give them the possibility to put that on you, if they wanted to fight it'll be between the two of them.
You took your fork and were about to put it in your mouth when Yves cut you off.
"So I'm your favorite ! I knew it !"
You sighed, you weren't going to be able to eat at peace it seems.
"I didn't say that either."
"Oh come on you have to choose !"
You rolled your eyes.
"Okay Choerry is my favorite."
They were about to continue harassing you for an answer but stopped.
"Wait what ?"
"I like Choerry, now can I eat ?"
They both looked at each other while the other girls were laughing at their antics.
"You can't just say Choerry like that."
"Why not ?"
"She ain't cuter than me..." "..and she ain't sexier than me..."
Both were questioning their whole lives.
"Am I not sexy enough ?.." Yves was clearly in the middle of a mental breakdown.
"Olivia Hye I am cute, right ?"
"No."
You choke at her response even though it was expected.
Choerry obviously arrived at this moment and received terrifying stares from both of your girlfriends.
"What did I do again ?"
"Are you trying to steal our girlfriend ?"
"What ?! No, why ?"
"Y/N said you're her favourite, tell us your secret."
You took the knife out of Sooyoung's hands and put it down on the table far away from her reach.
"Oh thanks Y/N."
"You're welcome."
You chuckled at how she was blushing well until you felt two pairs of eyes digging holes in both your sides.
"Okay girls, that's enough I love you both very much, I don't have any favorite."
They both crossed their arms.
"Oh you do, we all heard it."
Man you were in deep trouble, you spend the rest of the day trying to make up with your girlfriends.
You knew you shouldn't have answered.

can u write chuu x reader hcs with a reader who's super smiley and affectionate kinda like chuu herself? :3 💖 if u cant, feel free 2 ignore this tysm!!!!! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(´ ∀ ` *) gf! chuu hcs (´ ∀ ` *)
Tumblr media
genre: fluff || warnings: mentions of food || gn!reader a/n: loved writing about this concept!! my reqs are open if anybody's interested, for this type of things or anything else to your liking:)
Tumblr media
hyper s/o #1 & hyper s/o #2
one of my favourite dynamics, if im being honest, and it suits chuu so much!
the first sign of her realising her feelings for you would actually be being less affectionate than usual. jiwoo’d try to distance from you because she’d fear you’d find her behaviour not friendly and would be freaked out. plus, it’s easier to forget when you don’t have any contact.
well, you’d have different plans. feeling left out, you’d seek answers, and jiwoo wouldn’t hold the confrontation well
would anybody be surprised to see your relationship grow into something romantic? no, they have eyes
jiwoo is the type to act like she’s teaching”perfect girlfriend 101” course, she’s really good at her spouse duties
would throw you parties on your birthday. and remember all of your anniversaries, even the smallest ones, like trying waffles together for the first time
probably would have widgets with the count of many days you’ve been dating for. and the ones where she’s exchange pictures with you
would text you throughout the day and match your pattern of speech without her own notice
obligatory meme and selfie exchange every day
active dates, especially going to arcades or amusement parks. you both would get competitive, but in a cute way, like who could win for another a bigger prize
jiwoo breaks into a song all the time, singing about whatever she does, so you’d find yourself from time to time joining her, singing as loud as you can about washing dishes, creating the least rhymed and/or melodic songs ever
you’d probably get a pet after like three months of living together. some may find it irresponsible, but you’d be so sure in the way your hearts align with one another
you wouldn’t even for a second think about splitting, the idea of it being ridiculous in your minds
jiwoo would be very adjustable to the way you find energy. whether it requires her to cuddle you, to be simply present near you or do something together–she’s be down for anything
would love to try new things with you. weekends are planned months in advance, because there are so many places to visit, so many things to create, and she wants to do all of it with you. some of them may be not so knew because of her show, so she’d teach you things–not always successfully tho–and still kisses in the midst of it
jiwoo would be easy to read when she’s jealous or discontent. she’d close herself off and not be her usual bubbly self with you. bad habit, she’d learn, but still present.
it would scare you at first, but you’d always break through. i mean, you’d smile, and chuu would melt, and for you to reassure her?? that she’s the only one you’d ever love?? user jiwoo’s heart left the chat
always promises you she’d make breakfast. always sleeps longer and wakes up to you making it. keeps promising, to which you smile.
would have a plush she’d spray your perfume on and take it with her when she’s not home

Gamer Girl Chuu x fem reader
Tumblr media
Scenario: based on Chuu's recent live where she played video games. Just Chuu playing video games with her gf and a lot of fluff. And very Short lol.
"Ahh! I'm dying! Jiwoo can you heal me?" Y/n shouted through the mic even though they both sat right next to each other in their shared gaming room.
"Yeah I got you" the sound of the keyboards typing and clicking filled the room. "Oh crap! I died. Baby you're the only player left, you got this" Jiwoo got up from her chair to stand behind y/n, rubbing her shoulders as she searched for the opponents.
"did they plant spike yet?" y/n asked looking for any kind of signs. Jiwoo shook her head no and continued to scan the screen and map.
Jiwoo then cleared her throat, "right ahead, to your left y/n" just then y/n took out her last opponent carrying the team with another win.
"yay!! You did so good! I'm so proud of you" Jiwoo clapped, while giving y/n a big Jiwoo smile. All of a sudden she started shaking her butt doing a little victory dance causing y/n to burst into laughter.
Y/n pulled Jiwoo into a hug, tangling them both in the headset and cords. "You're so cute, Chuu" Jiwoo sat on y/n's lap burying her face into y/n's neck taking in the smell of her body wash.
"I love playing Val with you, even though I suck" Jiwoo giggled.
"it's alright," y/n ran her hands through Jiwoo's hair, "you are my best gamer girl."

When They Comfort You Through A Nightmare ~ KARD Reaction
J.Seph:
The sound of you shooting up immediately had Taehyung sitting up, following behind you. You raced through the house, crashing on the sofa as you wiped over your eyes.
“Y/N? What’s happened? What’s wrong?” Taehyung asked, kneeling down beside you on the sofa, resting his hand against your shoulder.
It took a few moments for you to reply as your voice faltered several times. “I had this dream, there was some guy and he was trying to take me away from you.”
“I’m sorry,” Taehyung whispered, brushing your hair out of your face. “Take a moment, try and do some deep breaths.”
“It felt so real,” you then murmured across to him.
Taehyung nodded sympathetically as he made sure to stay right by your side. “It wasn’t real, I promise you, I’m right here instead of whoever was in your nightmare, right?”
“I’m sorry if I woke you up too,” you then told him.
A chuckle came from Taehyung as, as usual, you worried about him. “Don’t be silly, I’m glad that I woke up so that I could be here for you, I don’t want you getting upset by yourself.”
“I’m feeling a lot better now, thanks to you.”
B.M:
Both of your hands quickly moved and wrapped around Matthew’s arm, shaking it as hard as you could as you tried your best to catch your breath after scaring yourself awake.
“It’s too early,” Matthew mumbled, although as he stirred he noticed how firm you were trying to get him awake and listening to you.
After a few moments Matthew’s eyes opened, widening as soon as they looked at you. “I-I had a nightmare,” you stuttered, looking nervously at him.
“A nightmare?” Matthew questioned, moving his arm to wrap around you and bringing you straight into his side for protection.
“I didn’t know what else to do,” you whispered.
A soft kiss was placed to the top of your head as Matthew’s free hand wiped underneath your eyes. “You did the right thing waking me up, even if I was a little bit grumpy just then.”
“Are you not sleeping too?” You asked in response.
Matthew’s head shook as you tilted your head back to look at him. “Not the best, but I don’t think my night has been anywhere near as bad as yours. Are you feeling better now?”
“I’m feeling a lot better laying here with you.”
Somin:
The feeling of your leg jolting against hers was the final straw for Somin as she shook you awake, quickly picking up on the fact that you were experiencing a nightmare beside her.
“Y/N? Are you awake?” Somin quizzed, draping her arm across your shoulders to make sure you knew that she was there beside you.
It took a moment for you to realise what was going on, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. “What happened? Why did you wake me?” You asked Somin.
“You were having a nightmare,” she explained to you, watching as your shoulders dropped, “do you not remember any of it?”
“Not a single thing,” you admitted with a sigh.
Somin offered you an understanding smile as you took a deep breath in. “You were beginning to sweat beside me, not to mention the fact that you kept kicking me too.”
“I’m so sorry, I had no idea,” you hurriedly told her.
A laugh escaped from Somin as you began to return back to your usual self. “I think I can take a few kicks in the leg, especially knowing that you’re not as upset as I thought you’d be.”
“I’ve not got a clue about this nightmare at all.”
Jiwoo:
Your heart had never raced as fast as it did as you watched the bedroom door opened, relieved to see Jiwoo walking in, despite the fear that greeted her as she found you sat up.
“A-are you alright?” Jiwoo nervously asked you as she quickly shut the door before rushing over to the bed and sitting right beside you.
Your head shook as you buried it into your hands, “I had a nightmare, and then when you weren’t here I thought that something serious had happened to you.
“I’m alright,” Jiwoo whispered closely into your ear, “I just went to use the toilet, I promise that no one came near me.”
“Are you sure?” You shakily asked to be sure.
Jiwoo nodded as your head lifted up and met her eyes. “Whatever happened was just a dream, I’m fine, you’re fine, and there’s no one that can get here and get to either of us.”
“You’re not going anywhere else, are you?” You quizzed.
Jiwoo’s head turned to shake as she slowly encouraged you to lay back down again. “I promise that I’m going nowhere else other than underneath this duvet and cuddling up to you.”
“I like the sound of us doing that, a lot.”

Warmth
with Loona’s Chuu
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings : none
wordcount : 0,7k
Surprise surprise !!
wanted to offer you guys some fluffy content now that I am back !! I have seen this fluffcember or something going on around here, so I wanted to try it :>
May you all enjoy <3
Hands intertwined with hers; you walked in your favorite restaurant, which had always held a special place in your heart, especially as a little kid. Jiwoo had been quick to notice your frowns and yawns earlier today, work had been getting to you a lot, you needed rest
Which is why she took you here, a place that had grown up with the both of you. Living in your hometown had that advantage, you could be reminded of so many memories just by going somewhere ten minutes away from your shared home. The smell, the music, the bowl of candy at the entrance, everything was exactly like you remembered it, it felt so familiar, so warm
Warm just like Jiwoo, a confident hand taking yours, leading the way while following the waitress to your assigned table. She had always been this sweet, even when you were both younger, in your very first dates
She was shyer back then, blushing at your every movement, attempts at flirting were made more often than you could even realize, she always made you feel good. Despite her many acquaintances and her tendencies to befriend any living creature, she had always made sure you know just how much you meant to her, you were the center of each other’s life, like a cozy bed when you most need a nap, you were the person each other wanted, at any given time
Jiwoo has known all along how to please you, how to make you smile, she would never fail to bring you somewhere that would leave your mouth wide open, she needed to make you the happiest, no matter the cost
So, when you came home yesterday, tiredly making your way to the couch where she was sitting, eyes barely open and whining silently, she knew she had to do something about it. Who was she to not take care of you when you were this exhausted ? Immediately carrying you to your bed, she took you in her arms until you doze off
And when you woke up this morning, Jiwoo had already called your workplace, saying that you could not make it today due to feeling ill. Proud of her half-lie, she promised to make today such a good day that you would never want anything other than that,
And god she was right !
The joyful music in the restaurant instantly put you in a cheerful mood, that and your girlfriend’s cheek kisses. Briefly after, you had already ordered your food and had Jiwoo recall many memories you two had made together when younger,
Truly a perfect night
Love was clearly in the air as you got the fuming plate of food in front of you, if you hadn’t felt hungry throughout the day, you definitely were now, and Jiwoo was more than happy about it !
Was it because the place was full of people that you felt so warm or was it because of how close Jiwoo was to you ? You weren’t really sure, and really, it didn’t quite matter as you felt her eyes admiring you, making your heart jolt even though she had always done that, and you had been together for who knows how many months
Nostalgia combined with her gentleness made you nearly tear up, tonight seemed unreal, like it was some sort of fever dream. You felt so out of this world, but for good reasons, feeling like you were floating among the stars, you hadn’t been feeling this relaxed in a long while
Walking out of the place, not without thanking the chef, Jiwoo took both of your hands in hers before leaning in to kiss you, making every minute of today worthy
She was a home like nobody else was,
She was just so warm

—-------------------------------------------------
“Ah shi- where’s Oppa? He’s really a dead meat, I swear..”
It has been almost 20 minutes since she waited for you at the school’s quadrangle park and there’s still no sight of your appearance. You made a promise that you’ll meet the time that the both of you talked with yet here you are, swallowing your own words as an annoyed Jiwoo is not the sight you want to see as your finals are now nearing, only a week from now.
“Tsk tsk.. I knew this would happen. I shouldn’t have-”
“Boo!”
She got startled as she almost dropped her phone. She smacked you but luckily you dodged it as an annoyed face paints her.
“Fu- Yah! You’re late! Our finals will be in a week from now and then you’re acting uneasy like this?”
“Yah Jiwoo, chill! You’re acting like it’s the last day of the Earth.. Jeez, calm down..”
She then pouted, still annoyed as she reached out to her textbooks for the both of you to study and prepare for your upcoming finals.
“We’ll now start Oppa! We need to focus, okay?”
“Okay Jiwoo.”
—------------------
“You got it Oppa?”
“Yah.. yah, I got it…”
Even though you didn’t feel your whole self whenever studying with Jiwoo, you still managed to cope and keep up with her. With her talkative mouth, you could have lost track every time but being the fast and sharp learner you are, you managed to understand what she said as you can’t help but steal glances at her, adoring her effortless features. You want to get rid of the thought of liking her but it feels like your heart wants to let it out. No, not now.
“Uhmm… Thanks for that Jiwoo..”
“What? Studying with you? Pft.. no problem Oppa.. it’s not really a big deal..”
“I really thank you Jiwoo..”
“For what? It’s not a big deal, Oppa, I swear..”
“Thank you for everything Jiwoo, all of it..”
“Are you good, Oppa? I mean if you-”
You then held her wrist as slowly pinned her to the bench as she moved backwards and confusion painted her face afterwards. You then got closer to her as a silent whimper could be heard from Jiwoo.
“W-were in p-public Oppa!”
“I k-know Jiwoo, I know. Sorry if t-this is all of a s-sudden but…”
Your mouth trembles as you stammer from nervousness. Butterflies erupting from both of your stomachs as you held closer to her.
Perplexed on her seat, she slowly held your hand as a gasp came out of your mouth. To say the least, almost everyone at your campus knows that the two of you act like cats and dogs whenever together. It’s normal for the both of you to share some thoughts or even secrets to each other only the both of you know but you needed to let it all out at this moment. You need to say everything you’re feeling that has been shackled on your heart for so long. You needed to make a confession right now. Now.
“I like y-you, Jiwoo, I-I know you may not k-know this but-”
You were paused by a sudden press of Jiwoo’s lips on yours. Her sweet, luscious lips are irresistible as her peach-flavored lip balm can be tasted as she pulls out from the kiss momentarily. Her eyes pleading as your peripherals darken as Jiwoo is the only one you saw. You got startled upon the act, stunned by her actions as smiles on your faces paint from both of your faces as a snap can be heard. Wait a snap? Yes, a snap of a finger can be heard as it goes louder and louder until eventually you come back from your senses.
*snap*
*snap*
*louder snap*
“Yah Oppa! You weren’t listening! I knew it, you little-”
“Ahhh.. AH! I’m sorry Jiwoo, I’m just really sleepy.. Been drained last night..”
“Aish- I told you to not drain yourself! You always sleep so late! You’re not even listening too!”
“I’m really sorry Jiwoo…”
It’s clearly evident about your feelings for Jiwoo, the imagination of your lips attached to hers says enough. You liked her from the start when you were kids despite your cat-and-dog relationship, even until now. You adored everything from her from her effortless beauty up to her extroverted self. You even compliment her looks everytime and she always addresses those things sarcastically or just a joke between the both of you but little did she know, you were sincerely saying those things to her because you like her yet you don’t have the courage to confess.
You know you messed up as Jiwoo’s tone says enough. With all your might, you tried to recall the past lessons she taught with your stocked-up knowledge. You know this is the time when Jiwoo will ask you a series of questions as the fire in her ignited seeing you dazed out, worse than before. You better get ready for what's coming next.
“Here we goo Hyukie, here we go..”
—--------------------------------------
7:15 AM
Bird chirps greeted your bright morning as you forgot to close the curtains before you sleep as you got sunkissed right after. A cold breeze can be felt as you brewed your favorite espresso to start off an intriguing day and some toasted bread with butter as the cherry on top. After getting dressed, you then left your room, locks securing the door as you went to Jiwoo’s to fetch her as your daily routine.
*knocking*
“Bye Eomma! Bye Appa!”
The three of them said their goodbyes as the door opened, Jiwoo’s ecstatic smile greets you as she feels brighter today, you then wonder what could be the root of that bright smile.
“What’s up Oppa! Morning!”
You felt awkward as she felt oddly cheerful and energetic today. Sure, she’s a really energetic person and so extroverted yet this is way too zestful to be true.
“You good Jiwoo?”
“What do you mean? I’m good Oppa…”
“I mean, you’re acting so energetic lately, I wonder if you can power this town with all of your energy *giggles*”
She lightly hits you as she pouts and giggles at the spot from the teases you’re uttering.
“Yah Oppa! It’s nothing that much though, just been feeling really good lately…”
“Uhmm, w-what made you feel that way?”
“Eomma bought me a dog and he’s so cute and energetic, just like me… Been feeling so good since then. I love his precious eyes pleading to me when I hold him. Oh! He’s so cuteeee…”
“Just like you, my penguin..”
You whispered to yourself, smiling as you came back to your senses, processing on what just happened, hoping Jiwoo won’t hear your feelings letting it out involuntarily.
“What?”
“Ah- n-nothing, just said the dog’s like you, no wonder that you became a dog in your past life…”
“Oppa! Argh..”
You teased her again as you dodged her possible hit to your left shoulder, referencing her stories about being an animal in her past life, specifically being an energetic dog. A giggle then came out of your mouth as she pouted, visible from your peripherals.
“Is it a male then?”
“Yep!”
“Ooh, anyways, what’s his name?”
“Uhmm.. we haven’t decided anything yet, maybe, you’ll help me name him?”
“Me? Hell nah… It’s your pet and if I name it, then the dog’s mine, easy..”
“I just wanted you to give me suggestions, Oppa… Tsk..”
After minutes of talking and the laughs, the both of you stepped at the pavement just as in front of the vicinity at the campus, the both of you parted ways as you patted Jiwoo in the back as she greeted back with a delightful tone. Just her bright smile can fuel your whole day or even you. You really had feelings for her yet scared to confess because of a common consequence, the consequence of your friendship fading as you’re scared that she doesn’t feel the same way you felt to her, despite your friendship. It drives you crazy holding it back but you had too, maybe, for the sake of your friendship.
“We’ll just talk about this later, okay? Bye Jiwoo…”
“Bye Oppa! See ya’ later!”
—-----------------------------------------
Dismissal. The time is where students in their respective classrooms got out from another day at school while the both of you are the complete opposite, working hard to earn a greater fruit.
“Thanks Heejin! I appreciate it!”
“No problem Oppa, here to help!”
Vibrant tones can be heard across the room as the two of you are left, still working hard for your final output in your Physics class. The both of you don’t afford to procrastinate further, so the both of you planned to finish it today as soon as possible. Having Heejin as your friend is a blessing in disguise alongside your other friends. The both of you helped each other in studies whenever possible and strengthened your relationship over the course of the year which you are grateful for as you became comfortable with each other. Gladly, you’ve been paired in this written output as life became easier for the both of you as you felt you’re much more productive with her by your side.
“Do we need to change this?”
“No, no, the problem is focusing on parallel circuits so the voltage in each capacitor will be equal to the voltage of the main power source.”
“Oh, okay, it does make sense, but are you sure though?”
“I’m pretty sure about this Oppa, I always pay attention in class.”
Dismissal time yet it wasn’t the end for the both of you. With the determination to end this, you two are much more focused to solve the problems and with a couple of brainstorms. As the both of you are busy, Jiwoo gasped as she quickly hid behind the beige-colored wall as she found the both of you in your own classroom, surprised that you are working on something that she can’t identify.
“Why are they both together? What are they working on? Oppa didn’t say anything to me, neither Heejin, tsk…”
As Jiwoo lets out a deep breath, she suddenly pauses with your hand in her arm, refraining her from going away, going home, by herself again even though the orange haze isn’t visible from the horizon, no signs of a sunset yet.
*footsteps*
“AH- ah, O-Oppa? W-what are y-you d-doing here?”
“Well, what are you doing here, Jiwoo? Aren’t you supposed to go home?”
Jiwoo is stunned at her position as she stammers between her words. You knew she was there just because of her distinguishable silhouette that has been wandering around the opened doors of your classroom. She’s really the worst when it comes to hiding, even back when you were children playing hide and seek, she’s the first one who’ll get caught and it shows, even applying it after growing up.
“Just s-strolling around here a-and j-just saw t-the both o-of you..”
“Ahh, I see, we’ll just finish this output then submit it and I’ll bring you home then, okay?”
“Uhmm, o-okay Oppa, I’ll j-just wait h-here, I may d-disturb both of you…”
“It’s alright, just stay here Unnie, we won’t bite…”
“Okay..”
Jiwoo is still quivering in her seat as her fingers fidget around the hem of her shirt. You didn’t mind it as you proceeded to work on your pair activity yet she still revolves around your mind.
You steal glances at Jiwoo as her eyes dart to the both of you, sternly intimidating as her eyes wander around the horizon to play it off.
“She’s so beautiful, damn, but why does she seem so odd today? Oddly energetic? Oddly cold? Awkward and weird…”
After some time, the both of you let out a sigh of relief as you put an end to this written output.
“Phew, now it’s done! Thanks Heejin! Really appreciate everything!”
“Thanks too Oppa! Couldn’t be this fast without your help! Thanks!”
You two exchanged bright smiles as you patted her back for the work she had done. The room is filled with the vibrant aura you two are illuminating since you two worked as a duo. You two are still talking about the output as a voice refrains and interrupts you. Wait, a voice? Yes a voice, a soft-toned one.
“A-are you two d-done?”
“Uhmm. yah, we’re done, sorry for making you wait for so long Jiwoo..”
“Yah, sorry Unnie”
“It’s alright, I’m just asking..’”
Heejin then proceeded to submit the output you two had worked on, leaving you and Jiwoo now. All of you then said goodbyes to Heejin as she plans to go home after. Sun is still striking up at the horizon, glad that the early dismissal was a blessing in disguise. 4:50 PM says the clock on your phone, you two then left the classroom as you brought her back home.
—-------------------
*birds chirping, cars beeping and honking, metropolitan noises*
The both of you felt awkward after a few stares as you can sense something isn’t right. After a few talks, you can hear her stomach rumble as your eyes widen.
“You good?”
“Yes,” she said nonchalantly. Unsatisfied with what you had heard, you asked her once again.
“You sure? You don’t feel right Jiwoo.”
“I said, I’m good Oppa…”
She’s sternly cold again, obvious upon the tone of her voice. You were baffled upon the sudden mood swing of Jiwoo as she’s obviously lying through her teeth. Stomach grumbles and a sudden sulk isn’t an option of feeling good, so with that in my mind, you faced her again, this time stopping her as you held her wrist and talked to her, merely half a feet, face-to-face.
“You aren’t right Jiwoo, your stomach is rumbling. I’ll buy you some food, okay?”
“I said I’m good Oppa! What’s not hard about it!”
“You are not good Jiwoo, stop lying, you aren’t feeling good, I’ll buy you some food…”
“Then why would you ask me if you knew it in the first place?”
You were paused by her sudden cold demeanor as the fire in her ignited. She sulks often to you and it’s never a new thing yet this is way too strange to be one. Did you offend her again? Did you hurt her? What have you done wrong? These questions then wandered around your mind as you were puzzled, stopping yourself from doing anything. Still perplexed, your face becomes stern as you come closer to Jiwoo, earning a silent gasp from her.
“Maybe because I’m concerned about you, that’s why Jiwoo. I don’t know. Maybe, I’m sorry if I’m worried about you, I’ll never do it again! It feels like a bad thing, Jiwoo and I don’t know why. I don’t know what’s wrong with you.”
Emotions tensed up all over your body as you ranted in disappointment and confusion right after. It baffles Jiwoo and so do you as you always broke down but you stayed strong however you felt bad for that.
“No Oppa it’s not like that, I-”
“I just don’t understand you Jiwoo. I just don’t know why you gotta be so rude to m-me.”
You almost break down to her as she interrupts your sentences with a deep hug. Hugs aren’t a new thing to Jiwoo. She often does it to you whenever she’s beaming her energy to the maximum yet this one is far from that. This hug, however, is something you’re not used to. There’s something special and sincere with this and you’re not complaining about it, but rather you loved every second of it.
“I’m so sorry Oppa, p-please, I’m sorry, I won’t do it again…”
Her pleading and her hoarse voice on the verge of crying says enough of her sincere apology to her actions earlier. You automatically melted in her arms as her saccharine voice is almost inaudible. You then pulled out of her deepening embrace before you got indulged as Jiwoo does the same. You then felt flustered and sincerely sorry seeing Jiwoo like this as she feels really bad for you as sincerity is evident in her eyes.
“P-please Oppa…”
You were frozen on what just happened as snuffles from Jiwoo can be heard right after.
“Jiwoo.”
“W-what Oppa?”
“You know Jiwoo, it’s alright and we made our own mistakes too. It’s just our emotions battling over us. It’s fine, okay?”
“Yah, I’m really sorry about that Oppa…”
“Stop crying now, you’re making me cry too..”
“Oppa!”
She playfully hits your shoulder as you spare a tissue to wipe her tears on her cheeks. A genuine smile now paints her face as she lights up her mood and so do you.
After some walks, the both of you saw a nearby convenience store and went to it to feed yourselves and to quench your thirst.
“*sighs* Jiwoo,”
“W-why Oppa?”
“You don’t need to lie to me. Just tell me if there’s something’s wrong then I can help, okay?”
“Yah, I’m really sorry Oppa…”
“It’s alright Jiwoo, here, you want some?”
“I mean, if you want too then-”
As Jiwoo is about to grab your sandwich, you dodged it perfectly as she tried to reach it again, unsuccessful because of the length of your arm, extending more than her reach. Your teases annoyed her as she glared at you and pouted right after.
“Here you go Jiwoo, I’m just kidding…”
“Thanks Oppa!”
“Welcome Pengo…”
As she’s about to bite the sandwich, a gasp came out of her mouth as she paused for a moment, startled by the nickname you called her.
“P-Pengo?”
“Yah, Why not? I mean you look like a living penguin who just didn’t have any fish on her cheat day, and you’re cute too and walk like one… *giggles*”
“Yah Oppa! I mean, not bad of a nickname, for once…”
You two exchanged smiles as you wiped the stain at her mouth with the leftover tissue you had earlier.
"Yah Jiwoo, you're disgusting! Wipe your mouth!"
"Yah, Oppa! I'm sorry, I didn't notice it…"
As the orange haze at the horizon became evident in your naked eye, you invited Jiwoo to go out of the store as you escorted her on her way back home.
Random thoughts revolve around your mind once again as you had a thought of her sudden mood swing. She never became like that around you, never, yet this is a new thing to say the least. She often got mad at you, annoyed by your teasing and the mood swings yet she never became like this, the facade of her face earlier says enough. The way she glares at the both of you secretly was attractive. Yes, you found it attractive, indeed, one of her hidden charms. Jiwoo being cute is an overused statement yet you can’t deny your heart yelling at her cuteness. Yet her looking stern is a new thing to you, and rather her most alluring trait.
There is one more thought that revolves around your mind, that is the thought of her behind her sulk. Is she jealous? Why would she be jealous of you with Heejin? That has to be the reason why. More and more thoughts of her lingered as you felt flustered if she did get jealous. It just meant that she had feelings for you but you’re not sure about it and always tried to dismiss it. You wanted to ask her about it yet you don’t want to start a conflict or rather make it worse, so you just dismissed the thought.
“Yah Oppa!”
“What?”
“Thank you for the food! Really appreciate it!”
“Welcome Jiwoo, take a rest and eat something in your spare time, okay?”
“Okay Oppa, I will. Also, I’m sorry for what happened earlier…”
“That? Tsk.. It’s alright Jiwoo, things happen and don’t mind about it that much, you know that. Anyways, take a rest, okay? Also, eat!”
“Thanks Oppa, Bye! See you tomorrow…”
“See you tomorrow too, Bye!”
You now part ways as the sunset fills in the orange sky, signaling that the night is nearing.
—-----------------------
*lock picks, door creaks open, car sounds at the distance, wind blows*
Your body thuds in the couch as you feel exhausted from an exhilarating day from school. With all of your energy, you reach for a glass as you fill it up with water to quench more of the thirst you’re still feeling.
“*gulps* Hah, felt better…”
You suddenly went to your bedroom as fatigue kicked in, making you sleep unaware as you didn’t even bother to check the phone or even prepare yourself to sleep. As drowsiness dominates you, you involuntarily close your eyes slowly as you succumb to the darkness.
—---------------------
Your vision becomes clear as you regain your senses, feeling lightheaded upon the exhaustion you had felt earlier. You stood up from your limp position, baffled about the sight that you stood up from a grassy field.
“What the- Why am I here? Ugh…”
Scratching your head, you walk slowly as you still feel lightheaded, still fazed about what is happening. You then walked at the pavement near an towering lamppost in the park to sit on a nearby bench right after.
“This place seems oddly familiar, *sighs*”
A sigh of relief escapes from your mouth as you feel relaxed within the cold breeze the wind blows for a moody night. Moonlight illuminates around the cirrus clouds as you get a sight of it, smiling from the tranquil landscape as sobs can be heard from the distance, stopping you from doing anything. You become puzzled as you hear the sobs getting louder from time to time and those aren’t just sobs from a random person but rather a familiar one. With your heightened senses, you followed the sound on where there could have been the root between what seems familiar and some miserable sobs.
As you follow the sound, you find a brown-haired figure walking as her left hand fidgets and the right one wiping her face from what seems the root of where the sobs are coming from.
You then know who is the source of the miserable sobs as you wonder who could have hurt her? Why is she walking alone? Everything is feeling surreal as the setting gets really eerie as she stops from her tracks.
"Miss, are you doing alright?"
No response. Not the thing you want to expect as her sobs decreased in volume, earning a sigh of relief from you yet anxiety now runs towards your veins.
“Miss, are you good?”
Silence emanates around the vicinity as you feel something is weighing down at your back as something holding you back from talking to her.
You then grunted as it got worse through time and you tried to fight it but it seemed impossible. You then suddenly got immobilized and paralyzed, unable to do anything but to accept your fate and succumb to the darkness that lies beneath as the girl laughs maniacally, you then screaming in terror as you fell into the void as your vision darkens.
*you panting rapidly*
“What the- I’m- I’m alive… What in the world was that…”
Baffled by what just happened, your hand starts to wander around your body to see if the surreality is over as your body enervates and heightened your senses right after.
“Ugh, what time is it?”
6:51 AM was displayed on your digital clock as you woke earlier than your alarm. You usually wake up late whenever you sleep tired or exhausted but this is far from that. You then stretched your arms as you awakened your muscles as you then let out a deep sigh from a baffling dream. You then got yourself prepared for another day in school as you got up at the bed, still fazed about the dream you had.
“Just don’t think about it that much Hyuk, it’s just another dream or perhaps, a nightmare…”
Or is it? The exams are nearing, your finals, and you just need to slip it out of your head. Days are counting as the clock is ticking every second, you need to do good and prepare yourself for another day and probably another studying session with Jiwoo or a clingy bond with your friend Heejin, who knows?
You then prepared yourself for another weekday routine as you locked the doors, securing the doorknob of the main one as you came and fetched Jiwoo on your way to school.
The sunlight kissed your face as the metropolis got busier as your sunshine sent out a bright smile and a bubbly greeting which made the stars jealous of her existence. Surely enough, that’s the reason why your dark days got brighter than no other person can do as thoughts in your mind can’t slip away.
“Good morning Oppa!”

“(Y/N)...”
Has your name always sounded this pretty in his voice like this?
Realizing just how little distance separates the two of you, you found it hard to breathe. He steals a glance on your lips, compelling a blush onto your cheeks as you do the same. You feel his forehead brush against yours, his fingers caressing your cheeks and moving forth to tuck a hair piece behind your ear.
Is this really happening?
His next words send tingles down your spine.
“I have to tell you something...”
You wait in anticipation, heart beating against your chest. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him, the sunset making him glow ethereal.
His lips spread into a beautiful smile.
“Wake up.”
What?
Tumblr media
Your eyes shot open just as your 7:00 AM alarm began echoing throughout your room. Heart racing wildly, you were already rendered wide awake before your mind could even register the loud alarm ringing through the energetic beat of Dionysus.
Usually, you’d wake up jamming to your best friend’s song, but this time, you were left in such a haze that the alarm started picking up again—a snooze option that you had set to activate every five minutes in any case the alarm fails to wake you up the first time around.
Eventually, you did knock out of it a little, turning off the screaming device just as it was about to start for the third time.
Your mind seemed to forget how to breathe properly, as it focused solely on directing your eyes over the sight of your phone’s wallpaper. It wasn’t anything new, really—just a picture of you and your best friend, Jung Hoseok. It was taken about a few months ago, when you had flown over to surprise him at a concert. His stage outfit was ethereal compared to your subpar straight-off-the-airport look. Bright, big smiles, however, reigned over both of your faces as your arms snaked around one another without a care in the world.
Looking at this picture has never elicited such a sensation in you before, but here you were, barely managing to breathe with your heart racing uncontrollably and your mind projecting images in your head persistently.
Breath-taking sunset. Heartfelt words. Fuzzy feelings. Lips inching clos—
“Nope!” you scold yourself, shaking your head profusely. A strangled noise between a groan and a screech leaves your lips as you bring a hand up to tap yourself on the cheeks. Turning your phone down on the cushion next to you, you heave yourself out of the comfort of your bed and into the bathroom.
The water was cool on your face—a refreshing wakeup call. In the mirror, you looked a mess—your hair strewn about, your eyes puffy, and your body drowning beneath a large shirt. You force a tight-lipped smile. “It’s just a dream, silly,” you reasoned, in spite of your frantic heart. “Just a dream.”
(Y/N), (Y/N), pick up the phone! It’s your hope, your angel, your Hobi!
You jolt at the sudden ring of your best friend’s voice through the air, rendering you to look around the room and wonder if someone had been spying on you to make you extra miserable today. In the distance was a ringtone he had recorded for you, now playing a funky little track he had made for the both of you. It was something you were shameless about, but now, you wanted to damn it for bringing back the redness to your cheeks.
Making haste and returning to your bedroom, you could see the device vibrating on the bed where you had left it. Your phone was lit alive with the notification overlapping the wallpaper you had been gawking at moments before.
Hobi Hobi is calling...
“Snap out of it,” you scolded yourself, as you hovered your thumb over to answer the call. At this point, you were forcing the retaliating part of you to cooperate over doing such a meager task. “C'mon,” you murmured under your breath. “Why are you like this?”
It felt like such a leap of faith to will yourself to move your finger on a swiping motion. Your heart remained wilding within you—a shock, considering the fact that it felt like it was just about ready to jump out and scream at you to acknowledge the infestation of feelings that was plaguing it.
“Hello?”
Hoseok’s voice snaps you out of your reverie, making you (figuratively) shove your heart down to the ground and muffle its battle cries. “Hey!” you beam with a stagger, a little too enthusiastically that you mentally slapped yourself for such a blunder. “How’s it going, Hoseok?”
Immediately, you wanted to smack yourself at the snag in your plan to get over your dream. hOSEOK??? Why would you call him Hoseok like that?!
Fortunately for your sanity, your best friend seems to take no issue with the slight panic and change in your voice, and doesn't answer you with any questions. “Hey, (n/n),” he tells you, a little awkward but you can still feel that solar enthusiasm of his. “I’m doing great!”
Just then, Seokjin retaliates in the background. “Yah,” the eldest member whines, “easy for you to say! I'm dying over here!”
As you walk out to your kitchen for breakfast, you find yourself chuckling, mind slowly easing a bif. “Tough day at practice, hm?” you muse, listening to the other members in the background. You grabbed a bowl and a spoon for yourself, setting it at your dining table as you waited for Hoseok's reply.
"Yeah, you know us," Hoseok coyly admits.
Your heart swells with pride, a grin on your face begins to hurt your cheeks as you hear some more kerfuffle on the other line. “Best of luck to you all then,” you tell him as you scour your pantry for the cereal box. "Don’t push yourselves too hard.”
Knowing well that the gruesome practice can’t be helped with a comeback looming overhead, you opt to cheer them on instead. “I’ll bring jajangmyeon later,” you then promised, as you fetched yourself some milk from the fridge. “You guys deserve it.”
The excitement in Hoseok's voice makes a smile on your face in an instant. "That's great!" the dancer beams, going off on a continuous ramble that didn’t give you quite enough time to butt in. "So, are you coming here by lunchtime or earlier? We'll clean up if it's earlier—wouldn't want you tripping aga—"
"Uhm, actually…" you were forced to interrupt Hoseok, which immediately plunges the situation into an awkward silence. "I was thinking about bringing jajangmyeon for dinner instead," you grimace at the lack of conviction in your voice, guilt and the aftermath of the dream nearly trembling your resolve.
Hoseok is understandably bummed by the news. "Dinner?" he asks, "why dinner?"
It seems to you that the girl’s day his sister invited you to last week has slipped Hoseok’s mind. "I have lunch with Jiwoo planned today," you tell him as you ready your bowl, “y'know, to catch up and take some promotional pictures for her?”
Hoseok clears his throat, embarrassed to have forgotten that. "Ah, right," he hums, "I forgot about that…"
You chuckle a little, awkward as you seat yourself on a stool. "Yeah…"
There was something apologetic in your voice, Hoseok could tell and he doesn't want to hold you back any longer for something that slipped his mind. "Well, you gals have fun," he urges you, doing his best to move the conversation along. "Send me pictures if you have any."
It's an effective strategy. "Okay," you reply with a lighter pep, relieved that he doesn't sound too upset. "Let me know if tonight's jajangmyeon plan's a go, hm?"
"Of course," he hums, "I'll go now. Break's almost over."
The delirium that nestled from your dream and the rest of the mess it made out of you renders you guilty for not making the most of your time with your best friend. This conversation definitely could've gone better. What the hel—
"Uh, (Y/N), good.. bye?"
Knocked out of your stupor, the spoon makes a loud clunk as it hits the bowl when you drop it to have your hand meet your forehead. Silent misery aside, you don't leave Hoseok hanging any longer. "Oh, sorry," you chuckle, embarrassed, awkward, and shy all together. "I just woke up."
Hoseok laughs at your half truth of a confession.
"I'll see you later, Hobi," you say before he could start teasing you.
Your best friend hums, letting your little dazed moment be as he bids you goodbye. "Can't wait!~"
Silence returns to its throne, swallowing the room as you were left staring at the floating cereal in your bowl. Running a hand through your hair, you reign yourself in. “Get a grip, (Y/N),” you tell yourself. “You have a whole day ahead of you.”
Tumblr media
"You like him, don't you?"
A scandalized gasp came out of you, almost making you choke on the scrumptious cheesecake you had ordered on this fine day. To think you would get attacked like this! What blasphemy!
"No, I don't!" was your immediate response, followed by strings of barely coherent, hasty sentences. "That'd be silly—I mean, Hoseok's a great guy, but me and him—together?" you scoff, "Pssh, no, no. It's not… uhm…"
Your rambling words die a painfully awkward death at the hands of a realization that this was his older sister you were ranting to. Even if Jiwoo was also a friend of yours, blood is thicker than water and she would most likely side with her brother than you. Clearing your throat, you pick at your plate and choose silence.
Across from you, Jiwoo looked on, arms crossed and unconvinced, but she doesn't at all seem angered by your profuse denial about being with her brother. In fact, she looked more than amused, and that doesn’t spell good for you. "You know, if I hadn't known you for that long and haven't actually seen you with my brother, I would've been offended," she chuckles as she adjusts her hair over to one shoulder.
Your face is red. You could feel it. "I'm sorry," you grimace, "I just… haven't entertained the thought of being his girlfriend instead of girl friend, y'know?"
You can’t possibly catch feelings for your best friend—that’s ridiculous!
Ever the straightforward friend, Jiwoo easily expresses what she thinks of your state. "I think you need to be more aware of yourself and your surroundings, honey," she clicks her tongue, shaking her head at you.
Her words make your eyes snap back up, partly offended, but mostly incredulous. "What?" you gawked, “what’s that supposed to mean?”
Is she saying that Hoseok—your best friend of seven years and a worldwide superstar—likes, likes you?
The oldest Jung eases back into her chair, feigning a thinking face before she drags you through her observations. "Well for one," she began, "he cuddles to you every time he gets the chance to—glues to you, even."
It's true enough.
Constantly sitting next to each other with your legs draped over each other in some form, running your fingers through his hair or arms to help him sleep, really tight and comforting hugs, occasional forehead kisses, and more!
You're quite used to it yourself. However—
"He's like that with everyone," you were quick to say. If being cuddly with you insinuates romantics for Jiwoo, then he might as well be married to the rest of his members. Physical touch was one of your best friend's  many love languages, and that was why you never tried to give any meaning to his affections.
Jiwoo doesn't deny your remark, and instead readies a more specific receipt. "Last week," she recounts to you, "the two of you showed up together at dinner and his back was soaked from the rain while you were very much mostly dry."
She's talking about the dinner that Mrs Jung asked you to attend last Saturday—something about making sure to see that her other daughter is well fed and taken care of. For contribution purposes, you had thought to call up Hoseok a few hours before the dinner to help you cook something from your mother's recipe to bring to Jiwoo's apartment.
By the time the two of you had gone out to leave for dinner, it had already been raining. Hoseok was the one with the umbrella, whilst you held onto the food, which definitely made some struggles for the both of you, but he got to change just fine after coming in!
It was another case of Hoseok being a sweetheart, so you don't really see the point. "Which means?" You raise your brow at her, pushing away that part of you that liked the bits she was putting onto the table.
Jiwoo groans at you not picking up (or rather, refusing to pick up) what she's putting down. "You know he's fussy about being neat, and yet, he drops everything when it comes to you!" she exasperatedly tells you, "he cares for you a little too much more than a friend."
She's overthinking it, you tell yourself—as you began overthinking it.
"Don't be ridiculous," you scoff, drawing the straw of your iced tea to your mouth.
At the lack of your understanding, Jiwoo half-heartedly sighs, pulling out her phone. "This calls for a live demonstration then," she mischievously quips as her fingers move about on the screen. She awfully reminds you of Hoseok when he’s up to the maknaes’ troublesome bullshit.
You gulp the drink, mostly out of nervousness. "What did you do?" you squint, suspicious of her.
She gestures you to wait a minute as she stirs the straw in her cup, the sound of the ice swirling around somehow making you more antsy to think about what kind of stunt she pulled.
Not a moment later, your own phone rings.
(Y/N), (Y/N), pick up the phone! It’s your hope, your angel, your Hobi!
That silly ringtone rings in the air, making Jiwoo recoil at the cringiness of her brother's antics. She shakes her head and murmurs something under her breath. ("So nonsensical")
You, on the other hand, were too aghast to be embarrassed, the straw that your fingers held hostage now freed as you had both hands seizing your phone. That rational part of you looking for reason in every single one of her rebuttals suddenly shrinks at the sight of Hoseok's name on the screen.
Why is Hoseok calling?!
"Go on, now," Jiwoo urges you with a shit-eating grin. "Answer it."
And so, with much reluctance, you did.
"Hel—"
"Are you alright?" were his immediate words. "Did something happen?"
Damn. Not even a hello.
You glance at his older sister before you, but she simply sips at her Iced Americano, watching the scene unfold like it was the year’s greatest blockbuster hit. "What?" you ask Hoseok, worried about what kind of stunt Jiwoo unknowingly pulled over your ass.
Hoseok’s panic doesn’t let up. "Noona messaged me, asking where you are," he tells you. "I thought you left your apartment already?"
You could envision that little frown on his face, brows furrowed deeply. His concern, admittedly, makes you feel things—such things that are not helping your case at the moment. "I, uh…" you gulped, thinking of a good excuse. "I got distracted, left my phone on silent until now, so…"
There was a good few seconds of silence, broken by a soft sigh that was in between done and relieved. “You’re lying,” Hoseok easily concludes as he tuts. “She’s messing with me, isn’t she?”
Right, you should know better than to lie to him. Hoseok may have the most obvious “I’m-lying-so-sorry” expression, but you weren’t any better—especially when it comes to him. “Yeah, she definitely is,” you sheepishly chuckle, as Jiwoo snorts the moment your eyes meet with hers, immediately understanding she’s been caught. “I may or may not be an accomplice,” you lightly joke, “so sorry, Hobi.”
Your best friend doesn't at all sound too upset. "It gave me a heart attack," he instead dramatically claims. "How could you two do this to me?"
You find yourself laughing, in spite of your previous state of disarray. "Ask her, not me," you try and nonchalantly shrug. "Did we interrupt anything though?"
"Nothing much," he assures you. "Don't worry."
With a hum, you decide not to fully trust him with that and let him go on with the aforementioned 'nothing much' he was doing—likely, it was choreography or music work, which are definitely not 'nothing much' when it comes to his line of work. "Right, well," you chirp, toying with the fork on your plate. "I swear I'll bring you extra churros for this. I'm so sorry we bothered you."
Jiwoo simply shrugs at this, but leans over anyway. "Sorry for pulling your leg," she half-heartedly muses, before going back to her plate and looking at you smugly.
Hoseok chuckles. "You better," he playfully says, "but I'll, uh, leave you girls to your fun time."
Knew it. You hold yourself from snorting. He's busy.
"Alright, alright," you muse to him, "Jiwoo and I will actually start our little shoot soon anyways. I'll see you later!"
Your best friend cheerily hums. "See you later!"
Eventually, you were left with your homescreen, staring back at the photo of you and Hoseok’s smiling faces. As the silence settles in and the conversation processes in your head, this has, admittedly, only left you more conflicted than before the call ever happened.
"Smooth," Jiwoo says, snapping your attention back to reality. “You’re very quick to throw me under the bus, too, hm?”
You playfully roll your eyes at her, before pointing at her with your fork. “You threw me under the bus, too, y’know,” you claim, "what was that even for, you little minx?"
Not at all threatened, Jiwoo simply slides her phone over and shows you what she sent to her brother.
Tumblr media
So that’s why he was panicky.
Though the notion of his panic does make your heart skip a beat, you refuse to do anything and overthink any further—not unless Hoseok himself says or does anything about it. "That was unnecessary," you tell her, stubborn as a bull.
Jiwoo shrugs with a smug grin. "Did you hear how panicked he was though?" your friend teasingly lilts, wiggling her brows in a way that reminds you of Hoseok. "My little brother cares a lot about you."
The insinuation of her words makes you fluster and scramble for some semblance of indifference. "So?" you try and scoff, "I care about him, too. I'm his best frie—"
"You're in denial is what you are."
The certainty in her claim makes you question yourself for a fraction of a second, but you recover quickly. “No, I’m not,” you huff, “I just don’t see the po—”
“(Y/N),” Jiwoo says your name in a firm tone that calls your attention. Her expression is telling you to face the possibilities of it. “You’re literally a mess after having a dream about him,” she deadpans, “which isn’t even wet, by the way.”
That definitely shut you up, leaving you to spend the rest of your little rendezvous with her on frantic topic changes and multiple eye rolls.
But you couldn't bring yourself to let Hoseok know of any of your slip ups.
"How'd it go?"
Hours later, Hoseok sits on his swivelling chair before you, cheeks full and adorable as he chews on the takeout you brought. Your phone on his coffee table rings with happy buzzes of the boys thanking you for theirs.
"Great," you tell him as you send them all a reply in the group chat.
It was terrible.
"Jiwoo took me to this nice little cafe and we took lots of pictures,"
She wouldn't stop teasing me as we did.
Tumblr media
"Smile, (n/n)!~" she teasingly coos in a manner similar to what her brother did in your ringtone, her eyes glinting with mischief as her phone flashes. "Pretend I'm your Hobi!~"
As he leans to look at the photos Jiwoo just sent over, you come to unfortunately notice the distance between you both is so little, his fringe lightly brushing your forehead as you both share the moment. You’re barely looking at the pictures at this point.
Fuck, (Y/N). Concentrate.
"You look pretty, (N/N)," Hoseok tells you as you catch his smile when you steal a glance his way. “The pictures turned out great.”
You don't think your nickname has ever sounded so sweet to you, and your heart races to think Jiwoo might be right. Yet, you really can't afford to think about this right now.
"It's not much," you manage to plunge yourself back into the conversation, trying to pass off his compliment for your sake. "I'm no model, Hobi."
Hoseok leans back into his chair as his knee comes to nudge yours. "Hey," he playfully scolds, "none of that, now. You're noona's favorite model."
Chuckling, you shake your head at his statement. "Because she doesn't have to pay me for the little practice shoots she makes me go through?" you tell him as you stuff your mouth with a serving of the black bean noodles.
Your best friend pouts at your refusal to take his compliment. “Because you’re a good friend of hers that’s very pretty,” he finishes the discussion, further shocking you into silence when he reaches forth to wipe at the corner of your lip.
A huff escapes your lips as you playfully roll your eyes. You stuff another bunch into your mouth, making sure to wipe after your lips yourself.
Within you was a war between clashing thoughts, one that didn’t want to cause any trouble and one that didn’t mind the trouble. After all, it’s not so bad to have a little thing for someone like Jung Hoseok. He’s a complete package in your book.
At the same time, he’s your best friend—one of your very best. He knows a lot of your secrets and struggles, and has helped you through one of your darkest times. He’s a big part of you, and you’d be lying if you said his absence in your life wouldn’t hurt.
Fuck. You are a mess.
Tumblr media
"What?"
Hoseok hesitates to repeat this time around, perhaps because of the cold tone that bled through your words—that lack of cheery, gossipy vibes you always seem to have when he asks you for things like this. "I have…" he stammers, "I have a date tomorrow? And I was hoping you could help me?"
Three weeks. You’ve mulled over your feelings for three weeks, in between hanging out with Hoseok, the boys, and Jiwoo. You used to tell yourself to give yourself time—to make sure of things before you make a move, but as it turns out, time doesn’t care to wait for you.
Were you so occupied that you didn't notice Hoseok taking interest in someone else?
"No, no, I heard you, I just," you were at a loss for words. "I just…"
I just didn't expect it would hurt like this.
"Nevermind," you laugh, grimacing because you know your disheartened state can bleed through. "But yeah, I'll, uh," you clear your throat, "I'll be there in twenty."
Hoseok’s end turns silent, and you already know that he knows something’s amiss.
"You… you alright?"
Crap. He knows you too well.
You hold back the urge to sigh, and gather your wits about you. "Mhm," you hum, "just work doing me in a little too rough lately, y'know?"
This isn’t entirely a lie. You took a lot of work to get your mind out of things, and Hoseok knows half of this, because you once had to do a project while hanging out with him the other day.
“Oh, are you busy then?” Hoseok asks, his worry already evident. “You don’t have to come here if you are.”
You don’t know why you’re doing this to yourself, but you suppose you can chalk it up to holding up this little tradition as his best friend. It was hard as it is for him to go on dates, and none of them have ever ended successfully, which is why he has his best friend—you—to help make sure he's as fine and handsome as he can be.
No matter how masochistic you may seem to be, you didn’t want Hoseok to lose his best friend, just because you lost the chance to confess. “No, no,” you tell him, “I can come. I can use the break.”
“Alright,” he tells you, voice soft and unsure but happy nonetheless. “I’ll be waiting.”
The call ends and you fall back onto your bed, groaning as you feel your eyes stinging. This is no time to cry, you tell yourself as you haul yourself in front of the mirror to get ready. Be happy for Hobi.
And yet, the person that starts back at you had her hair a mess with stubborn stray tears already running down her cheeks. She looks tired and empty.
You’re a mess, (Y/N).
Tumblr media
It took a while—definitely more than the twenty minutes you promised—but you arrived at the dorms with a fresh face after you spent some time concealing your sorry state. Seokjin welcomes you inside, telling you that you should have dinner with them while you're here and you barely had the energy in you to refuse.
It was then you headed to Hoseok’s room to start rummaging through his closet with him. The air between you is awkward with only the sound of his playlist in the background to fill in the silence. Perhaps, it's your fault, but Hoseok hasn't spoken up either.
C'mon, (Y/N). Say something.
"So—"
"So—"
You and Hoseok freeze, eyes staring wide at one another as it processes in your heads what just happened.
Oh, damn. This is painful.
He laughs and yours follow suit, albeit small and sheepish. "You first," Hoseok, ever the gentleman, says. "What'd you want to say?"
“What look do you want to pull off?" You ask him, tucking stray hairs behind your ear. focusing yourself on the clothing pieces even as you fail at it miserably.
Hoseok runs his fingers through his hair as he laid out his plans for tomorrow. "Well, I was thinking of taking her to an interactive exhibit Joonie suggested," he tells you, "then maybe we'll hit some karaoke or something."
You hum, feigning to think for a moment, when in reality, you were spiralling down a path of imagining Hoseok with the girl. Undoubtedly, he'd be ooh-ing and aah-ing at the pieces, try every single intractable, and take tons of pictures. They'd have a grand time, and that makes your heartache run green with envy.
Right, you don't have the right to be jealous. You're here to help him pick his outfit.
"Well, I,uh," you clear your throat, parting the hangers in search of something. "I think the sweater you got last month looks go—”
“You're doing that thing."
Beside you, Hoseok's statement rings through your ears, making you freeze and turn his way. Heck, you didn't even realize he was next to you. In spite of your nervous disposition, you manage to pull yourself together. “Hm?” you ask, brows raised as you scratch the back of your neck. "What thing?"
Hoseok crosses his arms, his gaze practically burning a hole through you. “That thing where you avoid eye contact and play with your hair,” he says, trying to connect dots inside his head. "Something's in your mind."
Panic alarms go off in your head now that he pointed such things out. You keep both of your hands off nowhere near your hair and stare in between his brows to give off the impression you were looking at him. "What?" you half-heartedly scoff, as you finally found the sweater you were looking for. "Nothing's on my mind."
You lay out the sweater on his bed along with a pair of pants you thought would look good with them, fiddling with them to keep yourself busy.
"Now you're fumbling," he then claims, "so it's probably something you don't want me to know."
Why does he have to be right?
Movements pausing, the sigh you let out makes you close your eyes. "Let's just pick an outfit, okay?" You say exasperatedly with a smile, now openly sending the message that you wanted to end his prying then and there.
Hoseok gets the message, sighing as he sits on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry," he then mumbles, hands fiddling with each other as a pout sets on his lips. He looks like a guilty child at the moment.
It's an awful thing to wish for, but a part of you hopes his date doesn't go well. That way, you can redeem that chance you missed. That way, you can properly move on from this if things don't end up going your way.
You gingerly reach forth to wipe his hair away from his forehead, in turn tilting his head up towards you. "I'm sorry, too," you tell him, "but there's… there's a right time for it. Just not now, okay?"
Hoseok nods after a while, his eyes seemingly now deep in thought, too. Damn, your wallowing is contagious, isn't it?
"C'mon, get up and try these on," you pep, trying to be more cheerful as you tug at his hands. (You try not to savor the feel of his touch)
The air turns somewhat softer, the awkwardness dying down as Hoseok slips into the combination you thought of. The sweater had a colorful little pattern—not too wild, but still fun—and the white button shirt that you had him peek out beneath it gave it a little bit of a classy flare. You had to spend a few seconds close to him as you popped the collar over his sweater, but you managed to remain sane.
He looks handsome—as usual, only now it takes your breath away even more.
You smile softly. "Looking good," you tell him, a little proud of yourself when he has a look of approval on his face as he looks at himself in the mirror.
Hoseok adjusts his pants as you soon reach to fix his shirt from behind. He takes this as an opportunity to speak. “Noona told me something…” he quietly starts, eyes flitting to you to watch your expression.
How unfortunate that you visibly freeze with your eyes going wide in panic. If it's Jiwoo, then there was a chance that it was nothing good. You couldn't tear your eyes away from him in the mirror, remembering what he said earlier about you. “What did she say?” you manage to ask, though you really dread to know.
Your best friend definitely doesn't make things easier for you, turning around to face you, which forces you directly under his gaze. “She said that,” he purses his lips, a little hesitant, “that you like me?”
The world stopped then and there for you.
God fucking damn it, Jiwoo!
“It’s nothing,” you said before you could even process it. Your eyes tear away from him as your instinct tells you to step back, get out, go home, and lock yourself away from the world.
A firm yet soft grip seizes you by the arms—it was Hoseok. "You’re lying,” he says, eyes still piercing you.
With your heart beating wildly against your chest, you were getting pretty prickly. “Well, how do you know?!” you snap, eyes still stubbornly looking away.
A stupid question really.
Hoseok watches as you're practically glaring at his desk. “I’m your best friend,” he tells you, eyes so soft and never losing patience. “Of course I’d know.”
Your skin reddens and heats under his touch, but your eyes nearly water. “It doesn’t matter, Hoseok,” you tell him—and yourself.
He frowns at the sad sureness in your voice.  "Why?"
You finally take courage to take his wrists and ease your way out of his hold. “You have a date, remember? We have to get you re—”
Before you could take a step away from him, your best friend doesn't let on. His hand takes hold of your wrist. “What if I tell you the date actually depends on the situation at hand here?”
Shock befell you as you turn to him in surprise. “What’s that supposed to mean?” you ask, brows furrowing as you head processes his words. Does he mean what you think he means?
Hoseok reaches forth, hand cupping your cheek and wiping something away—were you crying? “It means, (N/N),” he softly muses, as his lips quirk into a smile. “I like you and I’d like you to come on the date with me.”
You could hardly believe what was happening. "But… the date…"
"Is for us," Hoseok confirms as he threads his fingers together with yours. "That is if you say yes."
“Oh.”
The man has the audacity to chuckle at your dazed self. "Oh?” he muses, swinging your hands with his. “So,” he then says, “is it a date?”
Your heart beats faster for a different reason all together now that the butterflies ran amok in your belly. "Well,” you murmur, pursuing your lips. “I think I like you.”
Hoseok's grin grew wide at your shy glance towards him. "You only think so?" he then playfully pouts, "you're not sure?"
"Are you?" you sloppily retort—like a child, really.
"Yeah," he, instead, softly smiles as he takes the time to sit back down on the edge of the bed, which makes him look up at you standing before him. "I have been for the past three years."
This shocks you beyond all the initial shock he's put you through already. "What?"
All this time?
He hums in response, nodding as he stares at your hands joined together.
On the other hand, you're on a roller coaster of emotions.
A part of you feels happy, of course. This is your three-week long agony coming to an end—the lost chance no longer needing to be seized. He likes you.
And yet, guilt bubbles in the pit of your stomach. Jiwoo was right. You weren't aware of your surroundings. If those three weeks felt like hell for you, what more for him? Three years of longing for your stupid ass to notice and return his feelings?
Did he spend that time in between trying to get over you? Were those what the dates were for?
Did he spend some of his days wallowing and spiralling down a rabbit hole of what-ifs?
Did he spend moments thinking of a way to take his chance but fail in the end?
"(Y/N)?" he calls to you, worried what has you so deep in thought.
Knocked out of your stupor, you plop on the bed next to him with a sigh. "How did…" you mull over your words as you stare at his ceiling. "How did you know for sure that you liked me?"
Hoseok follows suit and stares at the ceiling with you as if you two were about to star gaze. "You know when I had a burnout so you planned a little getaway for us for a weekend?" he says, earning a hum from you. "I realized you're one of the few people I can show and trust my heart to. Life's just a whole lot better with you in it…"
You know how that feels.
Soon, his voice falls quiet—a little pained. "At some point, I thought to myself," he takes a deep breath. "Even if I'm not the one who gets to have her in the end, it'll be fine as long as she's in my life."
From the corner of your eyes, you could tell he turned his head over to you, and in spite of your hesitation, you turned to meet his eyes. "But then, noona's been pushing me lately, insisting you have feelings for me," he grins at this, "and it gave me a lot of hope to be honest."
Hoseok fully rested on his side at this point, head resting on his arm as he looms over you. "How about you?" He then quips, "When did it start?"
You go back to staring at the ceiling, cheeks flustering. "I had a dream…" you shyly confess, and in an instant, you could sense his mischief.
"Oh, yeah?” he muses like a gossiping hag, wiggling his eyebrows at you. “What about?"
You lightly slap his chest upon seeing him grin wolfishly. "It's not like that, stupid," you whine, as you, too rested on your side. You recounted your dream. "We were somewhere nice and it was romantic and everything. The sunset was pretty, and then…"
Your words and train of thought fades into nothing as you turn your head, realizing how little the distance between the both of you is, how beautiful Hoseok looks this close, and how serene everything feels.
"Then?" he prompts you to continue, smile growing wide with eagerness.
"Then, we…" your eyes flicker to his lips. You don't think you'd be able to finish your words at all.
He looks handsome, as always, but the distance that inches close between the both of you only makes your heart beat just a little bit faster. With the warm hues of the setting sun gracing over his features and the warmth of his presence over all, everything seemed to be in the very same wistful filter of the dream that lingers still at the back of your mind.
Everything was familiarly falling into place.
His hand reaches forth to tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear.
Hoseok leans in, as your heart pounds.
This is it. This is your dream literally manifesting itself into reality.
How unfortunate that the kiss lands on your forehead. Well, that was anticlimactic.
Hoseok leans back, laughing lightly upon seeing your face. "Why are you pouting?" He teasingly questions as he lets the arm he was resting on fall. He's laying on his stomach, looking up at you like a puppy trying to make you melt.
"None of your business," you grumble, red as a tomato, as you lay on your back, which purposefully sets a distance between you both.
Your best friend—boyfriend?—simply laughs at your embarrassment as he scoots close and drapes an arm over your stomach. "C'mon now, (N/N)," he coos, cheek now resting against your shoulder. "You of all people would know that I'd like the first kiss to be perfectly romantic."
The blush across your cheeks reddens further at the promise of the real kiss. "Damn you."
Hoseok's laughter rings yet again as he cuddles you more in his arms.
You don't protest at all, of course. This moment opens the door for you to a version of your future with no regrets swallowing you whole, marking the moment where you, nor Hoseok, have to see each other in an unreachable lens of heartbreak. This moment is where your fantasies come to cross the threshold of reality.
You suppose you owe Jiwoo a thanks, after all.

Succubus Pt 3

Warnings: angst, fluff

Part 1  Part 2
The desire to stop existing was immense. The only reason you didn’t fade away at the crossroads was because Somin appeared. In spirit, you were more than ready to fight her. You cursed at her, told her to fuck off in more ways than one. But after the magicks took Jiwoo’s blood back, you were physically weak. As a demon, it was simple for Somin to make you sleep and forget the world.
When you woke, you were back in the beach cottage. You grimaced once you realized you were in bed. Fortunately, she’d changed the sheets. Unfortunately, it still reminded you of Jiwoo. You walked to the dining nook. All the windows were fixed. Somin was there and made you food to eat.
You glared at her. “I don’t want you here.”
She looked unphased. “Good morning to you, too. Why yes, I did fix all the damage. You’re very welcome.”
“I’m not your responsibility and we’re not friends. You can go.”
Somin smiled sweetly at you. “You’re cute when you’re rude.”
Her words only made you glare harder.
You sat on the couch and she placed a plate of food on the table across from you. “I’m not hungry.”
“I’m not letting you hurt yourself.”
Your patience was running short. “Why do you care? Aren’t you on Jiwoo’s side? She ended this. I’m not important to her, and since we’re not friends, I know I’m nothing to you.”
“I think what you did was brave. I’ve never seen a human stand up to Jiwoo, or purposely seek out J.seph. Hell, I know demons who wouldn’t even do those things.”
“Jiwoo said it was stupid. Idiotic.”
Somin chuckled. “It is a fine line between courage and stupidity.” She nudged the plate toward you. “Please eat something.”
Your arms crossed in front of your chest. “I told you I’m not hungry. My being brave still doesn’t really explain why you’re here. What, Jiwoo send you to be a watch dog so she’d still have power over me?”
“Jiwoo has no idea that I’m here.”
Well that was a surprise. “Then why?”
She neatly crossed her legs as she sat across from you, resting her folded hands over her knees. “I’ll make you a deal; if you eat, I’ll try to answer your questions.”
You hated giving in, but you wanted answers; answers Jiwoo wasn’t giving you. You picked up your fork and stabbed into a piece of cantaloupe. “Why’d you get me from the crossroads? How’d you even know I was there?”
             “Reasons.”
The scowl was back and you stopped chewing.
Somin sighed and continued. “I knew you were there because Jiwoo’s anger could be felt all the way down in Hell. I was afraid she might kill you, which would’ve been something she’d regret and very bad press for demons. Why I came is because I agree with you.”
“You agree with me? About what?”
She looked down at your plate, insisting you eat more before she revealed anything more.
Begrudgingly, you obliged and plopped a strawberry in your mouth.
Once satisfied, she started again. “I think Jiwoo has deep feelings for you and is scared to act on them.”
That made you stop chewing. “What?”
She waved at you to keep eating. “Do you know what succubi are?”
             Was she kidding? “Sex demons.”
“Yes, but more than that, we’re dream demons.”
You were beginning to get frustrated. This seemed more like a game than answers. “Okay?”
“We usually don’t directly interact with humans. We come to them in dreams.”
“Jiwoo never came to me in dreams.”
             “Exactly.”
Pushing the plate away you sat up. “Exactly what? Just tell me the point of this story.”
“You’re the first human Jiwoo has directly touched that way.”
Oh. You sat back, but didn’t go for the food again. “But she has a place here on Earth, where she lives, I mean.”
“Sure. We walk around to find people whose dreams we’d like to invade. We sometimes get summoned as well. I too have a residence here.”
             “I don’t understand.”
“Jiwoo was supposed to make deals for J.seph. She’d collect your souls for him and he’d later do your biddings.”
“But she made the deal with me for herself.”
             “Yes.”
“And that’s unheard of in the demon world?”
             “Not unheard of, but uncommon.”
So this was why Jiwoo said it was complicated. This was uncharted territory for her.
You made yourself more comfortable on the couch, and were grateful Somin wasn’t urging you to keep eating.
She resumed her explanation. “After your first night together, Jiwoo told me it was the most incredible experience of her existence. Soon she stopped even going to dreams and only fucked you, apologies for the bluntness. She liked the thrill of your physical reactions, touch, taste, smell.
“Then she asked me to meet you. Of course, she said it was your idea, but we normally don’t meet each other’s conquests. That’s when I knew this was something different, serious.”
This was much more than you expected to be revealed. It was certainly a lot to think about. You sat in silence for a bit, contemplating all the new information, then had a thought. “Well, she did technically own me at that point. Wouldn’t she show off her property?”
Somin laughed softly. “I know you haven’t had a lot of interactions with demons, but we’re highly jealous creatures. Even with the blood contract, if I were in her position, I wouldn’t want someone to see you and fantasize about what’s mine. But as you said, she did want to show you off, but not as a conquest or possession. When we met, she was introducing me to her girlfriend.”
Your head was beginning to hurt with information overload. Somin was confirming what you’d thought was happening between you and Jiwoo, but Jiwoo made it clear this was not what it was. If anything, telling you all of this seemed like a good way to keep you distracted from ideas of suicide, which you suspected was one of Somin’s goals.
“How do I know this isn’t all just bullshit? You’re a demon, what’s stopping you from lying to me?”
“What other motivation could I possibly have?”
“A demon doing something from the kindness of their heart seems suspicious.”
“Didn’t Jiwoo do nice things for you?”
You were getting frustrated. This was like arguing with your sister.
“I can see that you’re tired. We can continue this later. Why don’t you get more rest? It can take a few days to regain energy. I’ll help you back to bed.”
             Wincing, you shook your head.
Somin said your name. “You’ll feel better with more sleep.”
“I can’t go to the bed. Please, it’s,” you wiped a tear from your eye. “I can’t sleep there.”
Understanding washed over Somin’s face. “I’m sorry, I never even considered the implications of being in the bed you shared. I’ll make up the couch for you.”
“Why are you doing all of this, Somin?”
“I must do this for you, and for her.”
That made you flinch once more. She again apologized. When the couch was covered in blankets and pillows, you didn’t fight the exhaustion as it consumed you. If you couldn’t die, being unconscious was the next best thing.
Somin had another meal prepared for you when you woke. She watched you as you ate, and you stared at her as well. It was clear that she wasn’t giving you the whole story about why she was here, helping you.
“Won’t she be angry if she finds out you’re with me?”
“She’s angry about a lot right now. What’s adding more onto the pile?”
“I’m still not clear on why you’re with me? What’s in it for you.” You bit a piece of toast.
“I told you, I agree with you.”
“So? That doesn’t really explain much.”
             “It’s a complex issue.”
Again, with the vagueness. You dropped your fork on the plate in annoyance.
Somin also seemed to be irritated. “It’s not really my place to explain. I know you want answers, but ultimately, the only one who can give them to you is Jiwoo. I just know that despite what happened between you two, she wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to you or for you to hurt yourself.”
“She’s never going to give me answers. She’s made that abundantly clear.”
“Demons feel differently than humans. Our emotions are stronger, deeper. Telling her you love her has given her emotions she’s never dealt with before and now she’s having an existential crisis.”
“Well boo hoo for her.” You were getting mad now. “I’m not trash she can just throw out as she pleases because she doesn’t know how to feel.”
“Again, that’s why I’m here with you.”
“But it hurts. It hurts to see you, because you make me think of her.”
For the first time you saw conflict in Somin’s eyes. “But if I leave you, you’re going to let yourself wither away into nothing.”
            “Why is that so bad?”
The two of you were at an impasse. No one would be winning the argument of why you shouldn’t kill yourself.
Somin left you alone for the rest of the day, only checking in for meals. At dinner a decision was made that Somin would contact your sister and friends. She would help you find a new place to live with your sister, and once you were moved out, she would worry about the selling of the cottage. She would also disappear from your life to really give you a clean break from everything connected to Jiwoo. She did, however, insist on keeping your finances taken care of. She didn’t think anyone should be a slave to money.
With all of your friends helping, it only took a couple of days to pack up your things. Though, most things were both yours and Jiwoo’s, so you told Somin to dispose of them. Your friends and sister even insisted on unpacking your things and setting them up for you.
After everything that happened, your mother, step father, Jiwoo, it was hard to believe there were people who cared for you like this. It was a bit overwhelming. As they were unpacking and chatting, you sat in your new bedroom and stared at the bed. It was new, and it seemed strange. You knew with time you’d get used to it, used to your new life without Jiwoo.
A knock sounded at the door. You looked up to Somin’s concerned face. “You okay? You’ve been staring at the wall for ages.”
The two of you chuckled at that. “Don’t you know when you suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts, there’s never enough time to just stare at the wall.”
She gave a wry smile. “We’re all finished. There’s nothing left to do, so I’m finally going to take off.”
That made you a bit sad. It was true that you did want her gone because she was just a reminder of Jiwoo and all the pain that came from that. But she had helped you, despite being rude. She cared for you when you couldn’t care for yourself. Maybe you weren’t friends, but you were connected. “I’m not sure what to say. I have so much to thank you for.”
She smiled and rested her hand on your shoulder. “Don’t sweat it. And maybe don’t tell anyone. I do have my reputation as a demon to uphold.”
You smiled too and hugged her.
As she hugged you back, she spoke, “If you ever need anything, or just want someone to stare at the wall with you, you can call me.”
Letting go you looked at her. “Really?”
“Sure. Just . . . maybe don’t summon me like you did J.seph. I don’t think it would end well for either of us.”
There was a slight grin, but then you became a little more serious. “Before you go . . .”
             She perked up.
“ . . . I want to see the cottage one last time.”
             Somin’s eyebrows raised.
“I just . . . I want to say goodbye.” When she gave no response, you continued. “I promise not to hurt myself.”
She nodded. “Do you want me to take you there?”
“No. I think I need to do it on my own.”
She nodded once again. “I will wait until tomorrow to give the realtor the keys, so take all the time you need.”
             “Thank you.”
Lifting your chin with her fingers, she made you look into her eyes. “Be good, kid. And please, take care of yourself.”
             “Yes ma’am.”
With that, Somin vanished, leaving you alone in your room. You walked to your dresser and opened the sock drawer. You pulled out a small box. It was the surprise you’d planned for Jiwoo. Walking out of your room, you told your friends and sister that you were going out for a bit and would be back for dinner.
Walking to the cottage reminded you of the times you’d walked to the crossroads. Your heart seemed to stop when you came upon the small house. You stared at the front door, probably for as long as you stared at the bed earlier. Finally, making your legs move, you opened it and stepped inside.
Ghosts of your memories danced before you. In the kitchen, you saw the time you were teaching Jiwoo how to make cookies. Cookie dough made it onto her nose. The living room replayed a scene of you and Jiwoo on the couch, her asking you questions as you watched your favorite movie. The crack in the hallway wall showed the time Jiwoo held you against it, thrusting and pumping into you.
You allowed yourself to relive each moment and feel their loss. They were a part of you, but you could let them go. Were okay with letting them go. It was the only way for you to keep living.
Not quite ready to go back to your new residence, you decided to walk along the beach. It was something you didn’t often do with Jiwoo. Maybe you did once or twice, but you normally did it when she was away doing demon things.
This would be something you missed. The smell of the salt water, the nice breeze, crash of the waves sounding. The beach sloped into a walking trail going into cliffs. You took your time to hike up the path, enjoying the scenery. When you got to the top, you allowed yourself to take in the sight of the shrubberies up the path and ocean below. You felt calm and at ease. That’s when you decided it was time to say goodbye to Jiwoo.
Feeling around in your pocket, you pulled out the small box you’d taken from your room. Opening it revealed the smooth, solid ring of jade. You’d done so much planning to get her something special. The big surprise for the anniversary along with telling her you loved her was to give her your soul. Well, to be honest, she already had your soul when she won your heart, but you wanted to let her know. You in turn were going to ask for her body and soul in being your wife.
A hiccup escaped thinking how the current situation spiraled so far away from all of that. You wiped at your eyes. Throwing the ring into the ocean wouldn’t instantly heal you from all of this pain now or make you forget her, but it was the step you knew you needed to take in order to start healing. Closing your eyes and inhaling deeply, you clutched the ring in your fist.
            “Don’t!”
Your eyes sprung open and you turned. There she was.
“Don’t do it,” she said again, desperation filling her voice.
“Jiwoo?” It sounded like her, but she looked different. Not as pristine as what you remembered. She wasn’t close enough to fully look at carefully though. Your voice was small when you asked, “Why are you here?”
Ignoring you, she continued pleading, “I know I’m a miserable cunt for what I put you through. You never deserved any of it, not a single bit, but please.” She stepped closer, her arm moving like she wanted to reach out to you.
You realized you were at the edge of the cliff and she thought you were going to jump. “I promised Somin I wouldn’t hurt myself. I keep my promises.”
She flinched at that. Her hand dropped back to her side.
Louder this time, you asked again, “Why are you here?”
“Somin brought me to the cottage. You weren’t there. I figured you took a walk.”
Brought her? Couldn’t Jiwoo come on her own? “Why?”
“I’m an asshole. The worst kind of asshole. I came to apologize and beg for your forgiveness.”
“Why would you need my forgiveness? You’re a demon.”
“I was acting like one. I was scared, like you said. A coward.”
Your eyebrows rose. “I never thought I’d hear you admit that.”
A wry smile formed. “Pride is one of a demon’s virtues.” She moved to step closer to you, which unconsciously made you back away. Her smile fell and she stepped back to where she was. “Please, can you allow me to explain myself?”
This didn’t feel real. It felt like you were in a dream. Maybe you were. Like Somin said, succubi were dream demons. But you could feel sand hitting your legs from the breeze and taste the salt in the air.
Hadn’t you wanted this? Jiwoo to come back? Your heart started to ache. What if it was another game? You wouldn’t survive her toying with you.
She stood straight looking solemn. “I know I don’t warrant any more chances from you, but you do have a right to know why I acted like a Hell demon. Please?”
Everything felt surreal and you weren’t sure what to say or feel in the moment. All you could muster was a single nod of the head, and with it all the tension seemed to leave Jiwoo’s body.
“I’ve been a demon for more than a thousand years. I was once human, but my death was not peaceful. Because of the brutality of it, I was greeted by a very powerful demon. If I wanted to seek revenge, I was offered the chance to become a demon myself. I was incredibly angry about how I died so I agreed. I became a demon of torture. That’s how I met Matthew. Together we punished souls in Hell, and I made the ones who harmed me as a human suffer the worst kind of pain. For many centuries I enjoyed giving bastards the same pain or worse than what they caused. My grudge in death soon became my wrath and I vowed to take it out on every soul presented to me. Then I met J.seph.
“He was a salesman and showed me the fun of coming to Earth. He would get summoned to different interesting places. After being summoned he would sometimes stick around and talk to others who did not call for him. He would interact with the humans, doing them favors before coming back to collect their souls and giving them to Matthew or another demon. It was vastly different from being in Hell and tormenting the damned. I liked the newness of it, the change from crying and pain. So, I was a crossroads demon for a few more centuries, but eventually grew tired of it, just as I had with torture. Finally, along came Somin, to introduce me to the life of being a succubus.
“Being a succubus didn’t involve fear or pain, only pleasure. I came to humans in dreams where I fulfilled their naughtiest desire. When I made someone cry or scream, it was from ecstasy of orgasm overload. I stimulated their soul instead of breaking it. I found it much more enjoyable than the other sectors of demon life, and felt satisfied for once. But then I met you.”
Your breath hitched. Jiwoo had always been truthful with you, but she never wanted to tell you about her life, her history before. She only ever focused on the present; the now. And even though she heavily edited it, you knew it was a big step for her to share her story with you. She was showing you she did care, and it was a little overwhelming. Your legs were wobbly with the rush of emotions.
She motioned to come to your aid, but you raised your hand, still not ready to be close to her. “Maybe you should sit,” she tucked her hands into pockets. After you were on the ground she nodded and continued.
“J.seph and a few other demons had been summoned for a political affair, and he asked me to cover for him, since I was familiar with his charge of things. And you called.
“Centuries of doing this kind of thing never prepared me for meeting you. Everything about you was enticing; your look, your scent, your need to seek revenge. It was all delicious and I wanted you for myself, my own personal little plaything. But you weren’t what I expected.
“Even though you were seeking a demon, you were scared and shy. You willingly gave me your body, and nothing was forced. You yearned for my touch, craved it, but then you surprised me, in that you wanted me to ache for your touch as well, and I did. You were all I ever wanted, and soon the merely physical desire for each other became more. I’ve never been so happy in a millennia as I have than when with you. You never cared about what I was. You knew I was a demon and still asked to spend time with me, to simply enjoy my presence in being with you. You weren’t ashamed of me and wanted to go out and be seen with me. You wanted people you cared about to meet me, show them I was someone you cared about, too.”
She paused and when she wiped at tears in her eyes, your mouth dropped. You’d never seen Jiwoo cry. Not once. And now she was.
“When you told me you loved me, it freaked me out. I couldn’t remember if I ever felt love as a human, and I certainly haven’t in the last thousand years. It just isn’t something a demon feels. I wasn’t supposed to feel love. It felt wrong as a demon for you to even say it to me.
“But we feel anger, which is why I blew up at you. It was so easy to tell you that you were wrong and blame you. I convinced myself to going back to my traditional role of succubus and sleeping with all who I pleased. Next thing I know, you went and summoned J.seph.”
Jiwoo took a moment to exhale and calm down. “I was so angry you called him, because I know firsthand what would happen to your soul when the time came to collect. I never want that to happen. That should never happen, not to you.”
She needed another moment. She furiously wiped at her eyes which made you get up to be closer to her.
Her voice was shaky as she spoke. “You asked me to break our contract, calling me out on being selfish, and it broke me, too. I didn’t want to, wasn’t going to, but like I said, pride is a demonic virtue.”
You were close to her now, which caused you to cry with her. Her face and bare arms were covered is scratches, scrapes, and bruises of all colors.
“Jiwoo?” you squeaked. “What happened?” Your voice rose higher seeing deep gashes and cuts. “What happened?”
Fully sobbing now, Jiwoo shook her head. “I had to. I had to do it for you.”
Pulling her into your arms, you hugged her tight against your body, both of you crying together.
“I did it for you,” she whimpered. “I did the trials. I survived to be fully yours.”
Jiwoo pushed you away slightly to look you in the eye. “I completed the 3 trials to lose my immortality and have my soul returned.”
Stunned, you stopped crying and stared at her for a long moment. “What?”
She gave a small smile and dabbed at her eyes. “I’m human. I made myself human.”
Your legs gave way, but Jiwoo caught you, and brought both of you to the ground to sit. “You’re human?”
With watery eyes, she smiled and nodded.
            “For me?”
The smile grew and she nodded again.
Overwhelmed again, you tried to process everything she just told you when a word stuck out. “Survived?” Saying it made you cry more.
For the first time, she moved her hands to touch you. She held your face in her palms, using her thumbs to remove the liquid falling down. “Nothing was going to stop me from getting what I wanted, which was a life with you. You’re why I did it and why I survived it. I’m here because of you.”
She now held you in her arms as you wept. Her fingers pet through your hair until you pulled yourself together.
Jiwoo had come back to you. She was yours and she was holding you. Now you really weren’t sure if it were a dream or not.
Jiwoo shifted and reached for something in the sand. The jade ring appeared as she lifted it. You’d dropped it when you wrapped your arms around her.
“It’s yours.” Your voice sounded tired from all the crying. “It’s your anniversary present. It’s why I’m here.” You turned to face her. “I wasn’t going to jump. I was going to throw it into the ocean.”
A small chuckle of relief left her mouth. She held your face once more. “I’m so so sorry. You don’t know how sorry I truly am. But if you’ll allow, I will spend the rest of our lifetime making it up to you.”
“Are you proposing to me, Jiwoo?”
            Her mouth fell slack. “Did I? I-I wasn’t trying . . . I mean.”
That made you giggle. Lots of firsts were happening today, including catching Jiwoo off guard. You’d never seen her unprepared, cute, or endearing. You took the ring from her and held it before her. “I promise to give myself to you, body and soul, if you promise to do the same.”
She offered her finger for you to slide the ring on. “They’re yours, my body and soul. They’re forever yours.”
Your mouth stretched into the biggest smile. You pulled her tight against your body and hugged her for a long while. You felt her breathe against you, smelled her hair, which was notably different than what you remembered. You wanted to live in and remember this moment.
When you pulled back, your focus landed on her lips. An angry slice went across the left side of both her top and bottom lip. You gently ran your finger over it, making her lips part. Would it hurt her to press your lips against hers?
“Oh my god would you two just kiss already?”
Both of you snapped your attention to Somin, standing further back along the trail.
Jiwoo grumbled and huffed beside you. “Thank you, for killing the moment.”
Not caring in the slightest that she’d done so, Somin walked closer to you. “Are you you two finished with the sobbing fest? I’ve got other matters to attend to.”
You looked at her and Jiwoo, puzzled.
Somin sighed. “I agreed to bring Jiwoo to you, since she’s still weak from becoming human, and then if things worked out to take you back to your new place.”
Scrunching your forehead, you focused your attention on her. “I don’t think my friends or sister would be all accepting of Jiwoo at the moment, especially with the state I’ve been in.”
She pointed at herself. “Demon. They think Jiwoo was away for business and that you were just sad about an argument you’d had with her before she left.”
Your attention turned to Jiwoo. “You’re not staying at your residence?”
“I gave it up when I gave up my immortality.”
Frustration filled you once more. “I-I’m not sure my sister would agree to that since we live together now, and all our stuff . . .”
Somin interrupted you. “Baby, it’s a one bedroom. I told you you’d be living with your sister as a ploy, and you were so out of it, you didn’t even notice she didn’t have a room.”
Your mouth dropped. Jiwoo squeezed your hand in hers apologetically.
Looking bored now, Somin continued. “Plus, I saw all of the damage done to you both and to that cottage. You needed a fresh start.”
“But we got rid of all . . .  of mine and Jiwoo’s things.”
“You gave me all of that to get rid of. I didn’t.”
Shyly, Jiwoo spoke up now. “I did pick out the location of it, so it could be both of ours.”
Stunned, you looked at her for a moment, then glared at Somin. “You told me Jiwoo didn’t know you were helping me.”
She pointed to herself once again. “Demon.” She sighed. “Are we all good now? Everyone is happy and got what they wanted?”
Both her and Jiwoo looked at you expectantly. Smiling, you nodded. “Yes.”
Jiwoo pulled you into a hug, and Somin closed the distance, wrapping her arms around both of you. Her winds swirled then before you knew it, all three of you were back at the new place. Your friends and sister had a dinner for two prepared and a note in their place explaining they left.
Somin kissed you, then Jiwoo on the forehead and vanished.
Looking around your new living space, you hadn’t seen it since everyone else insisted on unpacking. You found things that belonged to both you and Jiwoo.
She reached for your hand and pulled so you’d look at her. It was the second time tonight you’d seen her look so serious. Jiwoo took a deep breath then exhaled slowly. Looking you in the eye, a small smile appeared. “I love you.” It was spoken so quietly, you weren’t sure you heard her correctly.
             “What?”
Jiwoo huffed and said it again, louder this time. “I love you.”
             “You do?”
She smiled at your absurdity and pulled you flush against her. “Yes. I love you.”
You smiled back at her. “Wow, three times.”
Giving a small glare, her smile grew and she pulled you in for a soft, chaste kiss.
Smiling against her, you pecked her lips quickly. “We’re going to have so much fun, mistress. So, so much.”

Kinktober prompt 2: Ropes
KARD, Jiwoo/Somin
Click here if you want to read it on AO3!
Scarlet Knots
If you asked her, Somin would definitely say that she looked good in most colours. Case in point : when she arrived at her girlfriend’s place today, Jiwoo’s attention was enraptured by her newly dark hair, complimenting how the tone made her beautiful eyes stand out.
However, Somin knew that Jiwoo had a preference for red; especially, the deep red of the ropes Jiwoo was now holding in her hands as Somin laid on the younger woman’s bed.
Indeed, Jiwoo always praised the way the shade contrasted with Somin’s soft skin. Somin looked attentively as Jiwoo’s deft fingers gently laced the rope around her wrists, binding them together with practised ease.
When Jiwoo pulled away to look at the knot, Somin felt heat bloom in her lower stomach at the way her girlfriend’s forehead was wrinkled in concentration. Her sweet, perfectionist Jiwoo.
-Can you try to pull on the knot for me, please ?
Somin did as asked, and when Jiwoo adjusted the rope, tightening it just a little more, a moan escaped her parted lips. The smirk that appeared on Jiwoo’s face in response made Somin want to roll her eyes, but she ended up smiling at her partner sheepishly.
-Are you comfortable ? Is it too tight ?
-It’s just fine, baby.
-What about your safe word, Somin ?
-It’s joker.
-Good girl.
A shiver went up Somin’s spine at the pet name, and she watched as Jiwoo quickly left the bed to rummage through their toy box. Another rope – of the same colour, of course – was retrieved, and the younger woman joined her lover once more. While Jiwoo was busy parting Somin’s legs and securing them to each cuff that was wrapped around their bed posts, Somin looked at her girlfriend.
Her bright coloured hair falling in front of her face, the glasses that adorned her cute nose, and her lips that Somin could never get enough of…
-Can you tug again, sweetheart ? How’s this ?
Jiwoo’s voice took Somin out of her reverie, and once all ropes were thoroughly checked, the younger woman leaned down to press her lips against Somin’s.
The kiss quickly grew heated, especially when Somin felt the filmsy material of Jiwoo’s blouse against her skin. When the couple pulled apart, Jiwoo’s eyes had darkened, and Somin was sure that hers looked no different. Something about laying there, completely bare and tied to the bed, while Jiwoo still had her clothes on, a hungry look in her gaze, made Somin’s arousal grow.
-Jiwoo, please…
-Please what ?
Somin groaned at her girlfriend’s teasing, but complied nonetheless.
-Please touch me, baby.
Jiwoo gave Somin a sweet smile, before her lips trailed down from her mouth to her neck, down to her chest, her breasts. Jiwoo had always been an attentive lover, so it didn’t take her a long time to memorize what spots made Somin tick.
When Jiwoo gently bit on one of her nipples, Somin’s hands automatically tugged at her restraints in surprise. The confident, assured behaviour Jiwoo displayed made Somin’s core throb; prompting her to let out an appreciative moan.
-A little worked up already, I see.
-Well, you did take your sweet time tying me up, so…
Jiwoo’s eyes locked onto Somin’s own as the younger woman’s hand finally cupped her, finding her wet and wanting.
-And now, I’m gonna take my sweet time getting you off, baby.
Laying there, unable to grab Jiwoo’s forearm as curious fingers found her clit, Somin took a deep breath and just let herself enjoy the sensations.

17. Smiling against their lips while kissing.
————————————————————
The setting sun filtered into the bedroom unnoticed by the occupants, their attention focused on one another. Their lips connected in a sinful dance, their breath mingling to leave their skin crawling deliciously. Jiwoo settled her hands on Y/N's waist and tugged herself closer, crawling into Y/N's lap all while keeping her lips against their skin.
"Oh, I see now." Y/N giggled softly, making Jiwoo giggle with them. "I guess you were just too far, huh?"
"Too far, yes." Jiwoo mumbled, though Y/N could feel her smile against their skin. Her lips slowly moved from their cheek to their lips, the smile still frozen in time as Jiwoo bumped her nose against the side of their nose. "I was feeling cold being away from you."
Y/N hummed as they held Jiwoo tighter agianst them, kissing her passionately once more before pulling away for some air. "I see. We should fix that, shouldn't we?"
"Yes." Jiwoo couldn't help but giggle as Y/N smirked and flipped her onto her back. She bounced on the bed below them, and the sunset continued on without a single care as the room began to grow a little warmer than it had been moments ago.

Your eyes roamed the entire place before they landed on Jay. A playful smile painted the boy's lips as he slowly approached you. As soon as one of his hands touched your waist, automatically your hand wrapped around his neck and let him brush his lips against yours.
"Enjoying the party?" he whispered against your lips before kissing them slowly, pulling away soon after.
"I guess Jiwoo could pick a better theme, huh?" you commented with a laugh, receiving another kiss from Jay.
Truth be told, you knew that your best friend and sister-in-law had always owned the best parties since your university days. Not least because you helped her prepare everything, so you knew how it always worked. But after two years of graduation, it never crossed your mind that she would throw a university-themed party.
"To remember the old times" you remember her saying when she called you to her house, bombarding you with information and asking for your help with the preparations. Just like in the old days.
You just laughed, because it was impossible to deny Park Jiwoo anything. Especially if she asked her fiancé, Heeseung, for help. He was a talker when he wanted to be and you knew him well, so having two talkers ask you for help was even more impossible to deny.
"Why a better subject? I think she chose well" Jay shrugged, balancing the cup in one hand while the other remained on your waist "Reminds you of old times."
"And you like it?" you asked curiously, Jay shrugged and lightly squeezed the fingers against your skin.
"I love it" he emphasized, leaning toward you after taking a sip of his drink. His lips were cold from the freshly consumed liquid, and you fought the urge to whimper when he kissed you once more. The hot breath tasted of vodka and some citrus fruit that you couldn't even identify, only feel the warmth of Jay's tongue fighting for dominance against yours. Before your lungs could clamor for air, he broke away, letting his forehead rest against yours.
"And give me one good reason why" you whispered, even though you knew he would hear over all that loud music because of the closeness of the two of you.
"Hm, let me see" he pretended to think for a moment, you laughed at his theatrics and Jay looked deep into your bright eyes "Because I met the woman of my life, who I married. Can you believe it?"
Your cheeks slowly began to burn, and you knew it wasn't from the alcohol because your glass had run out minutes before Jay arrived. And it couldn't have been just from a shared kiss with your husband, so you knew you were getting flushed.
Jay had that effect on you even after years of relationship, and even now, married.
"What a lucky woman" you said a little louder, kissing him again. Before you felt Jay's body quickly separate from you.
"Sorry about that, y/n. We need Jay now" Heeseung hummed, under protests from Jay for having to pull away from you.
"It's our beer pong, y/n. Just like old times" Jungwon smiled in your direction as he explained why they had taken Jay away. You laughed at your husband's little desperation, even though you did not object to staying.
"Now, it's just the two of us" Jiwoo came in surprise, hugging you by the shoulders "Just like old times, and forever and ever."
"Forever and ever" you smiled at her, hugging her back as you looked at the party around you.
Everything did look so nostalgic. From the decorations you helped Jiwoo buy, to even some of the familiar faces at the party. Your best friend made sure to think of everything, posting it online on the alumni wall of the university you attended for so many years. No sane person who knew the two of you would not be able to attend a party planned by the duo. So practically everyone who has ever had the pleasure of enjoying something prepared by you and her was there.
People greeted you as if you were still the little celebrities on campus, even if you didn't feel that way in the first place. Jiwoo was the little celebrity. Because he was part of the university media and had a super-cute, hot brother that practically every girl wanted. This last part always bothered you, but you started to think this way after Jay met you.
The wave of memories hit you, remembering exactly the day Jiwoo told you about his older brother and how horrible it was to have so many girls approaching her with an interest in him. You felt bad for her, and at the same time, you didn't believe her. Who would be so crazy about a person that they would approach someone out of interest? But once you got to know Jay, maybe you understood girls at least a little bit. Not that you did, because you were friends with Jiwoo even before you met Jay.
And that was the reason why the coming together of the two of you was so natural and even more approved by your sister and best friend. Because she knew that you were the only one not to do what almost all the girls on that campus tried to do.
You fell in love with Jay little by little, just as he fell in love with you until everything became love. Until your relationship stretched on for years and soon you both stood in front of the altar whispering yes as you exchanged rings.
That small object symbolically united the love you had for each other since the first day you met. With that you sighed heavily, your eyes glittering as you stared at Jiwoo at the present moment and your friend glared back at you.
"What? Are you emotional?"
"Yes" your breathing became a little shaky, so you had to take a deep breath to keep from crying "I was remembering us from the time we met."
"Really?" Jiwoo whined, now thinking of the day she saw you in the library cursing the old computer that wouldn't turn on at all. She ran to you and offered to help, handing you her laptop to finish a paper in your first semester. And that never separated you again.
"Yes, I swear" you squeezed her gently.
"I love you so much, best friend and sister-in-law in the world" Jiwoo dramatically threw his arms up in the air, then brought them back down only to hug you tightly. You laughed, returning her hug before you felt your best friend's hands slide down to your hands "Thank you for staying."
"I thank you for staying here" the drink was helping the little statements and you both just enjoyed it.
But before you could say anything else, Jiwoo's eyes widened when she ran her fingers through yours, her hands still together with both of yours.
"What?" you were startled by her expression, staring at her.
"Where's your wedding ring? You and Jay—"
Your eyes ran down to your fingers to see that your marriage ring wasn't there. A crushing tightness took over your chest and you could swear your vision blurred for a few seconds before you looked at Jiwoo again.
"Shit, I left it at home" both you and her eyes widened. Something seemed so simple, forgetting a marriage ring. But not a marriage ring that you knew Jay had worked so hard to buy and almost walked down the aisle with as he said a few words and put the ring on your finger.
"Now what?" before you could answer Jiwoo, your eyes quickly found Jay walking towards the two of you with the other boys this time.
"I managed to find you, ladies" he said cheerfully, looking at you and then at his own sister.
"How was the game?" Jiwoo asked, feeling the weight of Jay's arms on her shoulders.
"I had some weird juice that Jungwon made before we played" he grimaced as he remembered the taste, being followed by Heeseung's laughter.
"It wasn't as bad as Sunghoon" he laughed at the memory, really laughed "He drank pure vinegar."
Ew, you and Jiwoo hissed as they laughed at the poor guy who should be recovering from what happened.
"And you ladies, don't you want anything to drink?" Heeseung asked.
"We…" your gaze sought Jiwoo's quickly, trying to recover from the small shock of minutes ago. The boys, although consuming alcohol throughout the night, could tell that the two of you were hiding something.
"Hey Jay, I think we got in the middle of some important business" Heeseung hummed.
"Yeah, how about you two share with us?" he feigned innocence in his question, causing Jiwoo to snort at her brother and then at her fiancé, rolling her eyes afterward.
"You two are such busybodies, you know that?" she walked past them until she reached you, entwining her arm in yours "Me and y/n are going to go out and walk around a bit. Have fun."
She pulled you along even though she heard the two of them calling your names, but you both ignored it. Maybe walking around the place and even playing small talk with some familiar faces might get one of the two to think of some excuse in case Jay and Heeseung ran into them again.
"We just need to keep this out of your brother's eyes" you commented after they reached the kitchen, making sure that neither of them would be walking by anytime soon.
"I think Jay would freak out if he saw you without a marriage ring" she laughed, but felt bad after she met your worried eyes "Ok, sorry. We'll figure something out or not even touch the subject until you two get home."
You thanked her with a small nod, looking around the counter and searching for a clean glass. That scene repeated itself at almost every party, you and Jiwoo standing in the kitchen looking for something to drink while she told you some shocking subject and your gaze dribbled between your friend and the glasses on the counter to grab one and fill it up with booze. The thought made you laugh and she laughed along with you, even though she didn't know why.
And at that, Jiwoo got two glasses to fill them with something a little stronger than your previous drink. You wanted the same, so you didn't even dare to look for something else, just letting her prepare it while your hands played with the marble of the countertop.
"Jiwoo? Y/n?" the voice called out with such surprise that you both turned your necks at the same instant to the door of the room.
Your jaw dropped slightly in surprise when you found Ryan there. He was a nice guy from university, flirted with you both all the time, and even teased Heeseung and Jay once, pretending not to know that you two were engaged.
This resulted in Jay swearing at the boy and Heeseung almost punching him in the face if not for Sunghoon and Jake having to hold him down in the middle of the soccer field. After that Ryan didn't come any closer, at Sunghoon's request because he didn't want a heavy look on his team and much less at some future party that always took place every two weeks.
Now the boy was standing there, right in front of the two of you with a playful smile on his lips.
"Hey, Ryan. Back to nostalgia?" Jiwoo asked nonchalantly, finishing filling her glass and then finally handing over your own.
"I guess so" he moved closer to the counter, standing on the opposite side from where you two were standing. Maybe that distance was a little safer "The party of you two always being amazing. Even after university."
You two decided to agree, getting into whatever subject it was. And talking with Ryan suddenly seemed nice. Because he hadn't flirted, much less made the atmosphere as uncomfortable as it used to be. You and Jiwoo had completely forgotten that your partners had once almost hit the boy who was talking animatedly right in front of you.
"So" Ryan said after a while talking about his trip to Europe and how his current job was going "How are you and Heeseung doing?" he looked at Jiwoo. The passionate smile she gave him already gave everything away.
"We're doing so well" she sighed softly "Being engaged is wonderful, I can't wait to do the same as my brother."
And then she looked at you. Eyes shining in admiration and you smiled, taking the glass with the drink to your lips and taking a sip. Trying not to look so embarrassed because quickly the subject had turned to you.
"Uh, are you and Jay okay? I mean… The wedding…" Ryan said.
"Yeah, we're perfect" you placed your glass on the countertop, he narrowed his eyes at your words and leaned in a little. But you hadn't whispered anything after that.
"Then why don't I see a marriage ring on your finger?"
A brief moment of silence was interrupted by a loud gasp. Your gaze traced the figure of Jay standing right in the kitchen doorway. He had his jaw locked and sharp, looking crookedly at Ryan as he entered the kitchen.
"Jay" the boy greeted, but got no response more than a nod at him.
"Am I getting in the way of something?" he asked, you could feel the fury in his tone.
"No, we…" Jiwoo looked at you, searching for help to continue speaking.
"We were just leaving. We just came to get a drink, come on" you took Jay's hand and quickly ran from there. Without managing to say goodbye to Ryan, much less lookback. You also didn't know if Jiwoo was following you, but you knew that Jay had incredible strength when he pulled your hand and made you stop walking right in the middle of the hallway where you two were going.
The meeting of your body with his made Jay's face close to yours. The hard look and serious countenance still lingered on his face.
"I—" you began, but he interrupted you in the process.
"He doesn't see a marriage ring on your finger" Jay began and you knew he had heard everything. You were screwed "Why, y/n? Where's the fucking ring we shared?"
"Jay… Love…" you wanted to explain as smoothly as possible, but you knew it wouldn't work at that moment. So you just tried to smile as the words slid from your lips slowly at that moment "I ended up leaving at home—"
"Oh, right" Jay didn't let you finish, letting go of your body and taking a few steps away from you. Your brow furrowed as he reached for his own marriage ring and pulled it off his finger, putting it away in his pocket soon after "I forgot it tonight too. Enjoy the party, y/n."
And just as quickly as Jay reached you, he hurried away. You didn't know what had gotten into your husband to make him do that, but it had certainly made your blood boil, and consequently, your vision was blurred by the angry tears that threatened to fall.

You tried your best not to let the tears fall, but you faltered the moment you found Jiwoo at the party again. She knew something had happened as soon as she saw you stunned, seconds after seeing Jay walk through the door and out of the house without speaking to anyone.
"I don't want to hear it, just cry" she whispered as she hugged you, walking out with you from the crowd that didn't even seem to care about the two of you there. Too absorbed in dancing and drinking to pay attention to someone crying so late at night.
So you let her walk you to the bathroom, sobbing on your shoulder and telling you what had happened. Jiwoo cursed at Jay for what seemed like hours, but you knew it had only been a few minutes to get you to stop crying and listen to her carefully.
"I also fought with Heeseung because he saw Ryan at the party" she said after you had been quiet for a while, stroking your hair and encouraging you to look in the mirror to fix your newly smudged makeup.
"I don't know what made your brother do that" you gave a slight hiccup after washing your face a little, drying it, and trying to tidy your slightly messy hair.
Jiwoo sighed, giving a small smile at your rambling after you left the mirror. It was time for her to look and check that everything was presentable.
"So I guess I can take you home now" she spoke after you were done with everything and so was she, both came out of the bathroom to find Heeseung standing on the other side and leaning against the wall with his arms crossed "Damn, what a scare!"
He suppressed a smile, unbuckling himself from the wall to approach you and Jiwoo.
"I wanted to know if you two were okay" Heeseung tried not to comment on your crying appearance, and you thanked him for it "And I just called Jay, he's already home."
The couple's gaze hovered over you, and your uncontrollable urge to cry eventually returned. But it soon pulled away when you took a deep breath and looked back at them.
"I think I'll go too."
"Then we'll take you" Jiwoo looked at Heeseung, who smilingly agreed to his fiancée's request.
Without the strength or desire to refuse, because your ride was already at home, you accepted. And you let them drive you to your apartment in silence. Both of them respected your space while you fought back tears once again.
When the car stopped in front of your residence, you apologized so much to Jiwoo and Heeseung for leaving so this alone gave you the right to shed a few more tears before you entered the lobby of the building and ran to the elevator to your apartment. You didn't think about anything else, just wishing you a nice shower since it would be almost impossible to have any conversation with Jay that night.
And with that thought you opened the front door seeing that it was unlocked. Maybe he left it open because I don't have the keys, you thought and tried to make it happen without much ado.
Taking off your shoes in the hallway, you quickly ran into your room in silence, only to find Jay already lying on the bed. His attention, which had previously been on his cell phone, quickly ran to your figure standing in the bedroom doorway.
He didn't say anything, and neither did you. And that made you go straight to the shower without a conversation. Your mind wanders to how angry Jay's tone was when he spoke to you, then letting the water run down your body soaking your skin and hair. Thinking of the hurt look he had given you as soon as you arrived. Was he resentful? Was he hurt? You didn't know. And you couldn't know without a conversation, even if it didn't happen right now.
Washing your hair and body, after a long time, you turned off the shower and got ready for bed. It was the bare minimum. Your whole body was aching and only your bed would be able to ease that, even though your taste would be to have Jay's arms as well, you would settle for just your covers for one night.
When you came out of the bathroom, your eyes ran to the figure of your husband still sitting on the bed and leaning back against the headboard. It made you sigh, he didn't even move, you thought.
Trying to put the thought out of your mind, your steps went to your dressing table and that's when the vision hit you. Your marriage ring was right there. The small, shiny ring that you and Jay had equally, was right up there. And that reminded you of why.
Swallowing dryly with the lump forming in your throat, you took the ring and returned to your ring finger in moments, stroking it gently as you turned toward your bed. Walking slowly, you noticed that Jay was fighting the urge to look at you, but his eyes remained on his cell phone the entire time.
Would he give in? Was being alone having any effect on him at all? And like a still university feeling from the recent party, you made your way to the bed and went to your usual bedside. But before you could lie down or do anything, your body slid down and your legs steadied as you sat on Jay's lap.
"What…" he dropped the cell phone at the same second, looking up to meet your eyes.
A twinge in his chest hurt like a knife, looking up at the bright red orbs that stared back at him.
"What are you doing?" he managed to ask properly, his hands hovering beside his own body on the mattress still hesitant to touch you.
You lay still for a few minutes, staring at every point on Jay's face. His tight, well-defined jaw, his adam's apple rising and falling as he swallowed dry. Every little part of his tanned, well-washed skin, the damp hair against his forehead giving a final charm.
Your face tilted just enough so that your forehead brushed against Jay's, closing your eyes in the process as his breath grew heavy against your skin.
"The ring was left up there when I did my makeup earlier today" you began whispering, your hands slowly coming up until you held Jay's face between them "And from what I remember, I couldn't finish it because I was interrupted."
Jay could feel his cheeks burn this time, knowing that the culprit had been him. Arriving home early from work and excited because his sister was having a party, he knew that you would be getting ready much sooner than expected, especially since you would soon be leaving to help your sister-in-law with the preparations. He had to take a shower to get all the tension out of the day and also accompany you, staying there and not having to come back later.
But seeing you in that robe while applying makeup was too much for Jay's poor mind to think about. And the only thought was to untie the fabric from your body and take you for a second shower. This resulted in a delay, and you ran so fast to find Jiwoo that you hadn't even finished the second batch of makeup. All because your husband had taken too much time with you in the shower before they left.
"I—"
"You acted like a dumb university student, Jongseong."
"Hey!" Jay felt a strange sensation when you called him by his real name, knowing that it was only used on extremely serious occasions. That one was, indeed.
His hands had reached your waist in the middle of the conversation, his fingers playing with the fabric of your pajamas shyly while he too had his eyes closed.
"I'm sorry" he said, making you open your eyes. When you uncrossed your forehead from his, Jay also opened his eyes to get a better look at you "I'm sorry that I got a fucking idiot jealous and it got out of control."
His words suddenly faded, lost in Jay's eyes as his caress on your waist ran one hand up your back, while the other went straight to your face. Holding your cheek gently.
"I didn't mean to do what I did and I regret it so much because, I swear, I lost my mind at that moment" Jay let his thumb trace the entire line of your jaw before fitting his hand perfectly between your neck and the back of your head "And I hurt the woman of my life. Seriously y/n, seeing you like this is the last thing I want in this world."
"Then believe me, Jay" you whispered as low as you could, fearing to cry again in front of him "Believe me I would never do that to you, because it's not my intention."
"I know, love" Jay pressed his lips to your chin, moving up to your mouth to slowly seal your lips against his "Forgive me for being a shit tonight, I didn't mean to ruin the night."
"You're forgiven for being a shit" you chuckled softly when he murmured in 'hey', and quickly your hands went to his shoulders, where you managed to steady yourself a little more on Jay's lap "Please promise me one thing."
"Whatever you want" he whispered against your lips as you leaned in close.
"Don't act on impulse when you're jealous" your mouth blew a warm breath against his, making Jay sigh next "I don't like that version of you."
He swallowed dryly once again, his chest crunching with regret as a nod was given in response. Even though no words could express how sorry Jay was about the whole situation.
"Now, I need something" he hugged you around the waist after a while, pressing your body against his in such a welcoming way that you didn't even notice the moment Jay reversed positions, placing you lying against the mattress to hover over your body.
"Sure. What do you need?" you said after a euphoric giggle at having been taken by surprise when you lay down and had Jay's body right above yours.
He then leaned in, connecting your lips in a quick kiss before pulling away just enough to whisper against your mouth.
"I need a second round to prove how sorry I am…"
"Park Jongseong!" your hysterical shout cheered him, making Jay laugh as he pressed you against him. This time the name hadn't left his lips for a bad reason.
He really wanted to redeem himself, to entwine your hands with his and join your wedding rings as he enjoyed the whole evening with you.
