You and Me, in a Different Way (pt. 3-4)

Synopsis: Stands are the reflection of your soul, they show want you try to hide or feel, how do their Stands react to you or your own Stand? How would they react to your child, the combination of your bodies and souls?

Warnings: implied childbirth, parenthood and some problems that come with it, self doubt, very old music, some fluff after the angst.

Jotaro Kujo

Jotaro: Star Platinum

You: All my Love

Result: Bring me The Horizon

- Star Platinum was a strong stand, no one could deny it, it didn't even care that it only could move in a short range, one of it's fists was enough to finish a battle and the ability to stop time didn't have a rival.

- You were quite sure that it was sentient, and there were moments when Star noticed you, affirming your suspicion.

"Oh my" he would appear out of nowhere when you entered Jotaro's studio, he was totally immersed in the papers in his hands, not noticing that his stand was getting near to you with curiosity, "hi there, Star" you would put your hand on their cheek, the stand closing it's eyes at the contact.

"What is it?" Now Jotaro was looking at you both, Star disappeared at that moment, "do you need help?" you wouldn't tell him, he would feel embarrassed of having so little control over himself (it was his own fault after not training his stand for years), so you changed the topic showing the reason why you got there to begin with.

"No, I just found your pen"

- Star Platinum was sentient, that is what you believed, and you also had the heavy theory that it was because Jotaro bottle up many things inside of him, so his stand showed what he couldn't, but it also showed everything that was related to his abilities multiplied tenfold, like the crazy strength or the excellent eyesight.

- That one time with the crazy shit of Alessi you noticed that Star could smile, in an... interesting way to say the least, showing all his teeth and an intense gaze.

- From time to time Star would change his usual estoic face, if Jotaro was enjoying something he would smile, if he was in the verge of laughter or extreme satisfaction, which was pretty rare, Star would show a big, and a little scary, smile.

"I mean, he does looks like you when you guys lost your shit back with the sun stand" you would never let him forget that, and he would never forget how embarrassed he felt when he noticed your horrified expression when he finally could compose himself.

"Give me a break, you also found it funny" he tried to cover his face with his hat, but you took his face in your hands, you could see his eyes looking at another place and his cheeks a little red.

"Nope, I was horrified, totally traumatized that you three just started laughing like crazy when we all almost died" and now you laughed at his angry expression.

- In your now normalized life you almost never called your stand, with Jotaro was the same, but there would be moments that Star appeared out of nowhere, a result of Jotaro not even using Star and leading to his poor performance with his stand.

"pepper, where is the pepper?" Jotaro was just doing dinner, he just felt at ease, and then he felt like he was touching something, but he didn't have anything in his hands, and then the feeling of being surrounded by something almost made him lost his grip on the frying pan, he called for his stand, who was being hugged by you at that moment.

"I couldn't resist it, you get angry if I disturb you and he was just here" you were saying that but didn't let go of the stand.

- Jotaro knew that you didn't use All Love often, mainly because it's eyes were too sensible to the light, it was pain to have such a ability in the middle of the dessert with all the sun, but it helped in the night.

- So he wasn't exactly sure of how to proceed when he found his stand next to yours, he heard that you were mumbling in your sleep, he was still up doing a paper, and now he noticed that your stand was out.

- All Love was big, sharp and twisted fangs, claws, totally black with little luminescent blue sprayed in it's body, big blue eyes that reflected the light, anyone that crossed paths with it could be scared of such a monster, but he didn't even bat an eye.

- Well, in reality it did scare him when he got to share rooms with you for the first time, but you didn't need to know that.

"Is it a nightmare again?" Your stand didn't said anything, just blinking and looking at him, you moved again, sweat on your forehead, "it's okay, I will take care of it from here" he then took place next to you, and your stand understood, disappearing shortly after.

- Jotaro never told you that when you were back in the dessert how good and also how bad your stand was, since the fact that you would scream when the sun got to it's eyes or the fact that All Love could inflict wounds and pain to any enemy near to you, but it also needed that those same injuries were inflicted in you first, and if you fainted due to the pain then your stand would fight for at least 5 minutes before disappearing, if that happened then the wounds would remain in you.

- And, yeah, that's how you ended up scarred.

- Jotaro lost count of how many times he found you in near death experiences, even ending with him accepting the wounds on you in order to safe your life.

"What were you thinking?!" You were bleeding, bad, your eye was almost out of it's place.

"Just listen to me and throw me to the enemy!" He didn't do it, he got the enemy near and you placed the injuries and pain on them.

- When you two finally had a kid you were worried that your kid would have a stand like yours, but Jotaro tried to ease your worries, helping you when the stress was too much and with the kid, who since a young age started to notice Star Platinum and All Love around, tried to chase after things that others couldn't see.

- Jotaro tried to be optimistic, something hard to believe of him, in the idea that his kid would be spared of being a stand user for their own good, but he need to face reality, specially with the fact that both parents had one and you came from a long line of natural born stand users.

- He tries to act natural with you using your stand around your kid but it makes him worry, he gets to be a little over protective of them, trying to give them since young the best opportunities to be part of society while also putting them in a world where stand users, stands or even Hamon exist.

- In the years that his kid gets to be more aware of their surroundings he ask you to stop using your stand, something that he also does, all in order to raise your kid to be normal, that they are part of a normal family.

- Jotaro is also the first one to notice the stand of his kid, now in their teenage years, and he is kind of terrified because their stand looks like Star Platinum and, by defect, The World.

- It took you by surprise too, but that was your kid, so you didn't say much than a congratulations.

- Your kid is quick to realize that Jotaro is evading their presence, not knowing the reason he goes directly to you and ask only to end up frowning, looking even more like Jotaro by doing so.

- You hold your husband in place for your kid to finally talk to his over protective father face to face.

"Even so, you don't even know what a big responsibility is having a stand, or how to use it"

"Do you realize that I'm not that crazy shit that you killed, right?" They even talked in a similar way, Jotaro's efforts to stop saying bad words in front of the kid go down the drain every time that a colorful word left their mouth.

"And who's fault is that?!" You didn't know for sure from where your child got that sassy side.

"..."

"I mean, They have a good point there, Jotaro"

"Aren't you supposed to help me with this?"

- They named their stand The Horizon just to spite Jotaro after he shows them how he stops time, learning that his kid can't do that, and also because they believed that "The World" was a cool name, saying that if Jotaro had any problem with that then he needed to get treatment from a therapist.

- There were times when your kid asked his father to see Star Platinum and Jotaro accepted, maybe they were expecting a fight of some sort but Star only dodged if The Horizon tried to attack and then just looked at your kid, who was beyond exhausted, before patting their head and vanish again.

"Sweet pea, what are you doing there?" It was usual to see your kid, with the stand out next to them, trying to figure out what said stand could do.

- That got the kid even more angry at his father and the fact that just now he talked about stands.

- The kid is now adamant in see what The Horizon can do.

"Dad's stand can stop time, yours can exchange wounds, I wanna know if I can do at least one!"

- Jotaro and you would see one another, no one had the heart to say that it was way more probably that it wouldn't do neither, just drinking coffee while watching the both try and fail, oh well, they would realize it sooner or later and- what the fuck was that?!

"I moved you two!"

"No, no, wait a moment you moved the space between us?!"

"I mean, I guess?"

"It's that why you called your stand The Horizon?! You knew and didn't tell me?!"

"Good grief..."

- Ah, typical crazy Joestar genes, but what were you expecting?

Result: Reptilia

- Starting a relationship with Josuke while teenagers was a good decision, no matter what others told you, the distance was a pain but you still made it work to the point that you would visit Morioh often.

- Those little visits accumulated and before anyone could realize you were already packing your things and moving to your boyfriend's new house, much to your grandfather sorrow, but after assuring him that you would visit he accepted.

- Josuke's house wasn't as big as the literal castle in Air Supplena Island where you lived most of your life or the house of his grandfather, but you liked it immediately.

"I know that it's not much" he said, blushed, when he first showed you the place, he was still paying for it but he really liked it for a reason, he believed that it was something good, "it's just that I feel like this is the place, you know?" He didn't need to tell you more, the very same weekend you arrived with most of your things in hand to move in with him.

- The first day was like everything was in a Shoujo manga style or something like that by your own boyfriend's words, Josuke was free that day so he gave you a tour around even when you already knew the town quite well, you still needed to learn a few things about the country.

- That very same month you would accommodate to your new home, saying who was in charge of what, how much pocket money each of you would have, the schedules were put on the kitchen.

"Can I have a little more this weekend?" Josuke would ask for more money from time to time, trying to appear cute in front of you to achieve his goal.

"Sure, but you would be left without pudding for the weekend" he immediately corrected himself and said goodbye to you while giving you a kiss.

- You could found Tomoko regularly while buying groceries, most of the time she would teach you what was good in which season and which farms were the best to some products, Josuke's grandfather would say hi to you if he found you in the streets.

"Are you sure that you don't need help?" They would ask, and now that Josuke was in the police academy you had the double of things to do, but you could manage it with your work.

"Yes, I can do it" you would say with calm, and they would believe you.

- Now, if they found you with Josuke...

"Are you sure that you want this one?"

"Hey!" You would just laugh by their joke and his exasperated face.

- Sometimes you would see Crazy Diamond, especially if Josuke broke something, but the stand would just see you and then disappear.

- You would say that it always came in hand when you had any injury, be it just a scratch or losing a finger while cooking, no damage was there a second later when Josuke used his stand.

- Now, Josuke and Daft Punk were in another level.

"And then I just passed everyone in my class!" He would say with enthusiasm, you would nod and then your stand would do some noise of exclamation, a heart forming on its face.

- They would talk like very good old friends, or at least Josuke would talk and your stand would do some noises and colors in order to show him that they were listening.

"I was always curious but, why can't they move their face?" Oh, the curiosity killed the cat, Josuke

"Of course it does" and then your stand opened a monstrous second mouth with sharp teeth and a long tongue, Josuke didn't ask again.

- Josuke got himself in the police station of Morioh after his graduation, his grandfather was happy by this, also his mother but she would try to play it cool.

"Again, are you sure that you want this one?"

"Stop it you two!"

- Josuke would notice that he felt kind of out of place while visiting your family, specially because your grandfather would look at him with some kind of hate, but he then would hear and see Daft Punk dancing and doing sounds of happiness, and he just decided that he could endure the visit to the end.

- When your kid arrived to your shared lifestyle things got way more moved, way more messier and more chaotic, an absolute mayhem given that since the very first moment it was quite clear that they could move things, did they got scared of something? A plate would go flying to the nearest window, did they wanted something out of their reach? The thing in question would come flying to them and you an Josuke had to jump in order to stop an accident.

- In the past Josuke thought that it would be great if his baby got an stand just like him and you, now he noticed how stupid he was for wanting that.

"After all your problems when you and Grampa Joseph found Shizuka you thought that your baby having a stand was going to be cute?"

"I wasn't thinking right, okay?"

- All in all, at least he could repair any mess that his baby did, but it was starting to get you both stressed.

- You couldn't ask anyone for help, your family all the way out of the country and Josuke's family not even knowing what a freaking stand was, you both couldn't even see it but you could of course feel it, maybe it was too weak now.

"Are they sleeping?" He would ask when he noticed that the baby finally stopped crying.

"Oh, yes, finally" you dragged your tired body to your shared bed, a few steps from the crib, Josuke fast behind you, letting himself fall on your chest the moment that you found a good position to sleep after so long, a bad move, you shouted in pain and the baby shouted with you.

- Parenthood was hard, Tomoko laughed at Josuke and his messed up hair and clothes, baby crying on his arms, you on work.

"This is karma, I tell you, you did the exact same thing to me when you were little"

"Mom, cut it out"

- Josuke's baby, much like Joseph's, is more attached to you than to him, not to the point of being aggressive but to the point of crying non stop when you aren't in their sight periphery.

"You are a crybaby too, aren't you?" That didn't stop Tomoko and Josuke's grandfather from spoiling the kid, Josuke didn't understood while they could calm down the crying, "just like your fool of a father"

"It's just experience" his grandfather told him, "the apple didn't fall far from the tree"

"Wait, are you saying that I was also like this?"

- Josuke asked for your forgiveness when you returned home, you didn't get the reason so you just guessed that it was a result of being sleep deprived.

- A few years later Josuke was the first one to notice your kid's stand, and the moment that it happened you were on the living room, hearing your boyfriend high pitched scream from the baby's nursery.

- Josuke never saw you or Daft Punk looking so wild and angry before, asking where the danger was.

- He felt his heart going really fast at that moment and the energy around you, even in situations like this you still had that effect on him.

"There it is" he was with you behind the door to show you, a little creature that was moving on the floor and it was...

"It looks like a snake"

"Whyyyy??" He almost cried.

- Josuke had problems with tortoises and other kind of reptiles, and now his kid had an stand that looked like a snake.

- He needed a bit of time to process it.

"Dad loves you, no matter what" after finally accepting his reality Josuke took his kid from the crib, hugging them and pressing his cheek against the baby's while Crazy Diamond also took the little stand in his arms to finally get a proper look of it, the result wasn't good, the little stand was hissing "and so on, dad will always-" Josuke ended up screaming again.

- Nothing serious happened, it just that the baby was pissed with him or maybe he was angry for another reason, but Reptilia, like you two decided to call the little stand, shooted some kind of acid from its little second mouth that landed on the nearest wall, where Josuke put a poster of Prince, one that got irreparably destroyed, not even Crazy Diamond could fix it.

"You are full of surprises, aren't you?"

"..."

"Josuke, are you okay?"

"... Shizuka never tried to kill me, babe, why my own baby..."

"Oh, Jojo"

"Why do they hate me?"

"They don't" The little stand hissed again when Josuke tried to reach you, "oh"

- It hurt him back in the day, but now it was something that Josuke still uses to his favor even when his kid is all grown up, just like the mother's old 'I give birth to you', yes, just like that.

"Oh well, that's how it is then, it doesn't matter that your poor father was there for you even when you tried to kill me"

"I was a baby, dad"

"Still"

- Josuke was still salty about the fact that Reptilia was bigger than Crazy Diamond but it was inevitable because it had a literal tail, apparently the genes of your family won the battle even when your baby looked a lot like Josuke.

- Josuke gets his kid to visit his grandfather grave, or their great grandpa in this case, they got to meet him while younger before the man died of old age.

- It doesn't matter what your kid does or in what kind of trouble they get into, Grandma Tomoko is always there to be their lawyer, the judge and jury if they ask for help, but will secretly scold them, they just do this to make fun of Josuke.

"Mom, don't use my full name like that! You are making me look without authority"

"I don't want to hear that from you, Higashikata Josuke, you did the exact same thing when you were of the same age!"

"Yeah, tell him Gran Mama!"

"Dad loves you so much, baby" Josuke would catch his kid with the guard down, appearing out of thin air to try to scare them in his usual joke, but there were times, like this one, where he just tried to kiss them like the old times.

- All in all, Josuke still preserves joking with your kid even when they are almost adults.

- These two also have a competition of scaring one another like the one Josuke had with his grandfather back in the day.

"Cut it out, Old man!"

- It was pretty funny to see, but Josuke also needed you to reassure him that he wasn't that old already.

- It's quite probable that you two get more than one kid.
