6: Biggest adult decision ever:

Probably taking out insurances. I've covered my teeth, unemployment and retirement.

Since I have a minimal income as a student and the insurances now cost me about half my monthly income I'd say that was a fucking massive decision.

But I'm glad I'm covered ✌

On that same note: a fixed savings and 'wealth' building plan 😁

16: Favorite place in your home?

My bedroom.

I acquired some decor pieces lately that really helped to achieve the look and atmosphere I wanted.

I also love the view from my window into the woods behind the house.

29. favorite story of another author 

every single day i long for @crossingwinter to write more gendrya fics. so i’ll answer this question for them and say that ‘the white and the grey’ is one that i read like once a month. i feel like i don’t need to tell anyone who ships gendrya to read literally anything by this author, but if you haven’t...i mean. take the day off from work/school/life, and just strap in.

31. easiest part of writing 

dialogue!! the less relevant to the plot, the better. like those dumb little interludes of fluff that add nothing to the story. those. i can knock one of those out in thirty seconds.

38. do you reread your own stories?

i really try not to, because i often wind up second-guessing them :/ the story i’m proudest of (this one) is the only one i’ve never gone back to reread.

that said, i actually have reread the last few chapters of took the long road - just because the story is wrapping up, and i want to make sure i’m tying up all of the ends i need to!

now, in Gendry’s!

“How am I supposed to protect you when I’m in love with you?! It’s protection 101! I’m about to lose it all anyway because I broke the first rule so it doesn’t matter, does it?” he snapped, going for the door handle again, he needed to leave. He didn’t want this to happen, he could feel himself falling from a height, and he knew that she’d break him in a matter of seconds. She was getting closer, and he knew he had to leave. “It doesn’t matter?! Have you bothered to stop and consider I might love you back?” she yelled the words, and his hand couldn’t dare touch the handle now. Gendry stopped, turning back to her in one sharp movement. Arya was right behind, almost caught off guard by his sudden turn. She panted, her words catching up with her. She was scared. Scared that he’d leave. But as he looked at her. He couldn’t. 

Regardless of everything else, every possible warning sign, he moved. 

Gendry moved into her space in one step and kissed her with every ounce of longing he had been holding back. He’d never hold back again.

Dialogue or descriptions? ughhhh ideally a mix of both but depending on my mood and inspiration I tend to tip the balance.

Favorite plot twist? Ooooh, I don’t think I’m good at those? maybe the one-night-stand turned neighbors plot twist.

Favorite cliche? oof. so many. wearing eachother’s clothes, probably.

Favorite season? Fall

Writing by hand or on computer/phone? Both. Ideally by hand first and then onto a digital device.

Music while writing? yesssss

Weirdest thing you’ve ever been inspired by? food, probably.

Biggest no-no for a book? What will immediately make you put the book down if you see it? Lazy writing. Either develop your character or just don’t write.

What titles grab your attention in bookstores? Don’t judge a book by its cover? Well, I do. I like pretty covers. So yes, the aesthetic plays a huge part for me.

Can you describe the color purple in one sentence? She laughed when she felt the juices dribbling down her chin - purple now, probably. He’d say it was more plum, naturally. Whatever, it made her feel happy. (I AM UNABLE TO STICK TO CHARACTER LIMITS FUCK OFF).

12. favourite place to write

my bed! only because sometimes my depression + fatigue makes me bed-bound and i’m stuck doing everything under the blankets. my room is my safe space so i don’t really mind.

13. hardest character to write

i find sansa really hard as she’s undergone a lot of abuse and i struggle to write that. she also has some really traditional feminine characteristics that i don’t really know how to convey. i do love sansaery tho :)

14. easiest character to write

my baby boy gendry, i really take pride with my characterisation of him as I relate most. daddy issues? check. very emotionally suppressed? check. i just love him so much and can probably write an essay on it.

Favorite OC to Write? I haven’t written any in my fic, but the version of myself that I write in my head is quite compelling.

Dialogue or descriptions? To write? Dialogue. Banter in particular. I have to remind myself that a bit of description wouldn’t hurt now and again. To read? Description. The more rich detail the better. I don’t care whether they picked it up with their left hand or their right hand, but I do care how it felt to hold it, whatever *it* is.

Favorite plot twist? Love a good unreliable narrator. Also anytime something isn’t what it seems but the reader (or viewer) is lulled into a false sense of security. Like when you’re totally sold on the goodness of someone and they turn out to be utterly rotten. Give me all of that.

Favorite cliche? Caught in the rain. Or any weather really. But mostly the warming up afterwards. The conversations that take place in that brief window always seem to be the most interesting.

Favorite season? Season 4 of Doctor Who.

Writing by hand or on computer/phone? I enjoy writing by hand but I get cramps very quickly. So computer. And surprisingly often, phone.

Music while writing? Music to take a mental break from writing, when I want to stop ideas from overflowing. Very hard to write my own words when Lin-Manuel Miranda’s words are swirling around me.

Weirdest thing you’ve ever been inspired by? A knock knock joke. In my opinion the greatest joke that has ever or will ever be told. It inspires me every time I think of it and it never fails to make me smile. But I couldn’t possibly tell you what it is or you’d hate me forever.

Biggest no-no for a book? What will immediately make you put the book down if you see it? If I get to the end of the third page and I don’t care what happens on the fourth.

What titles grab your attention in bookstores? Having studied graphic design I care a lot less about what the title is and a lot more about which font they used. But if I get to the end of the book and still don’t understand why they chose that title? I hate that.

Can you describe the color purple in one sentence? The jacaranda petals covered the lawn, gradually turning from lilac to a dark, sickly colour, much like the bruise under his eye.
