It's really interesting getting to origin of blind obedience in the manga because it's my favorite in the anime........by which i mean it's weird and disconcerting to get to origin of blind obedience in the manga because I've rewatched it like 6 times in the anime, and rewound to listen to dialogue and watch specific scenes over and over again, and paused to analyze every line, and scrubbed for screenshots, and i can quote whole sections of the japanese on sight without hearing it or seeing it romanized, so the fact that it's neither line-for-line shot-for-shot exactly the same in the manga, nor does it have the soundtrack and voice acting playing somehow out from the page, nor does it have the exact same visual gags and translation, nor is it paced exactly the same with episode breaks lining up with chapter breaks is physically upsetting me.............but it's good tho
Anyway, Fushiguro under the cut...

The trouble with Gojo Satoru is that he only loved one person. And that one person dominated all his life, his motives in life, his reason for living. After this person defected, Gojo still created a world around him aiming to change what he could have done if this person were still with him. Even if that person died, his memories all influenced Gojo’s undertaking.
Couldn’t handle seeing this person’s cadaver inspected, dissected, experimented that the benevolent creature took advantage of it instead.
So it is understandable that when he thought he was looking at the person he loved the most only to realise that it was a mirage, a charlatan, a counterfeit, the devastation was ensured. The beginning of his downfall. As he struggled with his last breath, he saw this person as he imagined of what he should be in his life: a partner, a mentor, a best friend, the one and only human who was standing next to him. Geto Suguru.
Gojo Satoru: (To Geto) Satisfied? If you were among those patting my back, then I might have been satisfied.
Geto Suguru: Hahaha!
