2022 was the first year I considered myself an actual content creator and has also been my first full year of gif making so I thought it would be fun to compile some of the giffing highlights of the year. thanks jazzy @woosansang for tagging me in this event! In combing through all of my gifs I found a lot of growth and improvement in my own gif making skills (coloring is so much better (!!!!!!!), sharpening is so much better) which is something I'm really proud of because it was always something I beat myself up for. There is always room for improvement but that doesn't negate where I am now!

Besides my improvement as a gif maker, here are some highlights of the content:

the first eight months of the year belonged completely to jongho. I was at peace with the world. everything was fine. and then, everything changed when the dude with the cane attacked. I now have another bias. thanks and fuck you hongjoong

there were always spooky posts. no matter the time of year.

this was the year I started and completed my AUteez series, where I match ateez with an alternate universe that fits them. This series is a testament to my coloring skills and shows off my imagination. One of my favorite things I've done, ever

my 2MVapplejh series, where I color match two music videos that (usually) have similar elements in them. I also really like this series too but I don’t work on it that often

no pressure tagging! the instructions are simple, post links to both your most popular and your favourite sets for each month in 2022. I also included special mentions every month and tracked my hongjoong descent by comparing the amount of posts I made of him vs jongho. ha.

I already know there will be at least one big event – I’m going to hit 1k followers!

i've seen several people say jjong was bi and i don't disagree, i think this is probably true actually, but is there any evidence? or like anything specific he's said or done that points to him being bi? i'm just so curious about this

idk but i dislike the word evidence? like, i know what you mean anon, but, it makes it seems like we're in court trying to prove he's not straight, y'know?

but, specific things? yeah i'd say so

his songs - especially ones like playboy (that he wrote but gave to exo, but his performance of it hits different), and the iconic cocktail - look up the lyrics.

his outspoken support of the lgbt+ community

just, shit he says lmao - for example, the aloe juice incident (he's saying aloe juice has the texture of cum)

or this

and this is stuff he says without provocation or fanfare or for humour. this is just him.

like when he's spoken about dudes he thinks are handsome. he did so pretty seriously.

his response to the hate from his & taemin's internet war performance

and just his general vibe and aura - i've said this about kibum & taemin before, but it's hard to pick out specific moments from years of just, observing someone and getting to know and understand what they're trying to say to you without saying it.

Remember Jonghyun's famous failed Krump attempt?

Jonghyun's Krump has always been iconic, ever since the snack commercial first came out.

In the commercial, every SHINee member has a signature move, Minho's being "Knee Kick," Taemin's "Poppin'," Onew's being "Stomp," Key's being "Wave," and Jonghyun's being "Krump."

The video was originally a snack commercial, for a limited edition SHINee snack. But it immediately became a hit in the meme world soon after it's release, and especially after this video.

In the video, the SHINee members were joking about the commercial, but they were missing the Krump part. Jonghyun came into the room, when he heard them singing the song. They sang for him and he began, or should I say he began his version, of krumping. At one point he jumps, and slips, which causes him to fall over.

You can see how funny this was to them, since they were laughing really hard.

One thing that made me laugh even harder, was that when Jonghyun fell, there was a staff in the doorway, looking at them in disbelief. And after that, another staff closed their door, probably because they were making too much noise or something. I always laugh at SHINee's staff, because they always seem shocked, but never surprised. I think I would be that way too, if I worked with SHINee for that long.

But if you look deeper, this was probably a very special moment for them. SHINee was very busy at that time, with a bunch of schedules and promoting, so they must have been really tired at the end of every day. It looks like they are in a waiting room at the MNET building, either waiting to go on stage, or coming back from performing. They must have been exhausted. And when they made that memory, it must have made everyone's day. It's always great to have that one person in your life that can always cheer you up, and Jonghyun was that person.

Jonghyun was, and still is, capable of brightening the room, just by walking through the door.

Ooh this is a hard one... we have taemins most iconic (well, second most now) hair, the purple blonde black ombre. key also looks gorgeous as always, but minho is giving me extreme body + masc envy.

for thier odd eye performances it's KEYYYY, but then taemin looks delicious, and jjong with the mismatched contacts? and then minhos sneaking up on me AGAIN with a gender envy steel chair.
