Fandom life

I miss the sheer tranquility of my old fandom life on LiveJournal... The only discourses were "is Magneto right?" (he is), "is Dumbledore a bastard, especially for this dick move at the end of HP1?" (he is too) and "why aren't there more HDM fics which aren't daemon crossovers?" (I don't know, but I love them too).

Now, people in the tags of my fandoms say that Rebecca Sugar is a N*zi (they're Jewish, btw), and She-Ra is "problematic" because the show depicts a nonbinary character who isn't human (voiced by a nonbinary person and very respectful, but discourse posts don't care about that. Oh and it's offensive to ship them with a lesbian? Whereas nonbinary lesbians exist?).

Also, we discover that some creators are trash people: JKR is openly a TERF, Aaron Ehasz harassed his female colleagues... That's awful and I hate it. I don't want to support their behavior, but their content comforts me, and the dilemma is exhausting. I feel like a bad person for not boycotting season 3 of The Dragon Prince after what happened.

Fandom life makes me feel bad, and it's not supposed to happen.
