the more i learn about mariah over the years, the more i can see she is one of the most disrespected artists and i understand why it pushed her to having a shady or "diva" persona since the media wants to push it so much and she just played with it for her sense of humor
like the media pushed mariah was shading ariana when it really happened because media was calling ariana the "next mariah" which was really disrespectful considering mariah was still actively writing and making and releasing music. it really just discredits everything she built and with madonna constantly disrespecting and dissing mariah since the 90s. like i totally understand why mariah refuses to acknowledge madonna for that reason. and the jlo "i dont know her" cause of tommy mottola stealing mariah's unreleased work and giving to jlo
and then american idol trying to create this feud between mariah and nicki when the two have worked together in the past. even mariah called out idol for really making that a toxic environment for them and pushed that as the highlight of the show instead of the music
and then interviews in the 00s and 10s onwards just asking mariah things about celebs INSTEAD of things about her music. thinking she peaked in the 90s when We Belong Together and Touch My Body proved her longevity. her interview with Genius really showed music is her passion
it's like she's constantly had to prove herself as worthy of being a songwriter, producer, and vocalist because the media would reduce her to being a product of shady memes and being a diva when like how else was she supposed to answer disrespectful sensational questions
anyway consider me part of the lamb defense squad. mariah really deserves more recognition and respect as time goes. she has done so much and has broken so many barriers like there are so many things she did as a biracial (half black) woman in music
she also cares so much for her fans and the lgbtq. like she has written songs that really show the struggles she felt facing discrimination and marginalization. always been a championing that voice ever since the beginning of her career. she really is a beautiful and talented woman inside and out

SYNOPSIS: Park Jongseong harbors the biggest crush on one of the most popular girls on the campus, you. You, being dared by your friend group to tweet and made a boyfriend application, initially started out as a joke, thinking that no one would applied it. Upon the tweet going viral and many applications being sent in, he decided that he would shoot his shot, even if he doesn’t know a single shit about what is the sun, moon, rising in astronomy.

"It’s great that at some con they are already monitoring the photo ops. I mean Sebastian Stan has insane fans and the photos you can find online from cons more then embarrassing."
I've been to some of these cons and there are people who are one step away from crossing personal boundaries with the celebs they have photos with. And you can see the celebs trying to be polite but being visibly uncomfortable.
When Ben and Jlo started to date again I saw a footage, they were on holiday, maybe in Italy or Spain, don't remember. They were walking on the street and people literally ambush them, taking pics, and videos, following them, screaming their names and who knows what else... When I saw that I thought if this were my life, I would be moody too and not so nice with fans. They were treated like animals or more likely an object in a museum, people can stare and take pictures. They were stripped from their human identity they were reduced to an idol, a phenomenon, an object. It was really shocking and I don't like Jlo, I think she is a diva in a bad way but I felt sorry for her at that moment. I don't think this extreme behaviour should be tolerated, no matter how big star someone is or how much money they earn. Fans don't own their life. You buy their music, movies, books etc and that is it. They don't have to live their life to appeal to a fan. We know it wouldn't happen anyway, no boyfriend, or girlfriend is ever good enough.
So I totally understand if a celeb is uncomfortable. Obviously, they should put a nice face on, especially on a con, because they know what will happen, that is work, not their free time. Try not to regifting things immediately, because that is an ass move. So here should be a middle path too, do not humiliate the celeb and they should nice to you.

What I’ve Watched During Quarantine (so far):
TV Shows:
The Last Kingdom - holy shit I love this show and I cannot wait for a new season. Æthelflaed is a badass bitch. But I miss Alfred.
After Life - the most heartbreaking show in the world, with Ricky Gervais being funny between making me cry.
Community - maybe my favourite sitcom. I fucking love this show. I’m containing myself because if I don’t, I’ll go on forever.
Hunters - I love love love love love this weird-ass, terrifying, mind-bending, incredible show. What a ride. Sister Harriet is my favourite even though I don’t trust her.
Tiger King - Yes, along with everyone else I watched this fuckery. What is there to say? I was entertained, that’s it.
Making a Murderer - I was on a roll after Tiger King and wanted something crazy, and I got it. What a bunch of fucked up shit. I can’t believe this is real. Also Kathleen Zellner is a badass bitch and I love her.
Good Omens - I broke down and watched it. And this was the weirdest shit I’ve ever seen but I loved it. Crowley and Aziraphale are a delight. And my history nerd heart couldn’t handle it.
The Boys - wow this was the most disturbing, wonderful show. Truly terrifying but great. Billy Butcher is incredible.
Peaky Blinders - when I say I am in love with Thomas Shelby. Wow. What a fantastic show. I didn’t expect to like it, but I finished all five seasons in less than a week because I’m absolutely addicted. Damn you Thomas Shelby and your pretty eyes.
The Umbrella Academy (S2) - wow wow wow wow what an amazing season. I don’t want to spoil anything but it was absolutely fantastic.
Rewatches:
Lost - my favourite show of all time, and my favourite series finale of all time. Fuck what people say, Lost is brilliant and I would die for this beautiful show.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - what an all around great time. I just love it so much.
Roseanne - ah, old school Roseanne. My actual favourite sitcom. Y’know, the one that was my entire childhood, basically made me who I am today, only for me to find out that the actress that played my actual idol was a racist. Yeah, that one. It was nice to ignore that though and love my favourite show regardless.
Scrubs - I just watched it for the first time just before quarantine, and decided to watch it again during. What a brilliant show. It means so much to me. Also, Perry Cox is one of the greatest, most complex characters to ever exist. And Carla Espinosa is an underrated queen. I’m also listening to Fake Doctors, Real Friends, which is Zach Braff and Donald Faison’s Scrubs rewatch podcast, and it’s great.
Friends - I missed this show, really. It’s still so great. Chandler Bing is amazing and I forgot how adorable he and Monica are.
Movies:
The Philadelphia Story - again, Cary Grant is lovely. Also, Katherine Hepburn is incredible and I love her.
Rocky 1-4 (haven’t gotten hold of 5 yet) - oh, yes, yes, yes. These movies. I love love love these movies. Rocky and Adrian are the couple.
Cocktail - this one wasn’t bad, considering I hate Tom Cruise. I’d watch it again.
Anastasia - I’ve been wanting to watch this one for a while, and it was awesome. I love Meg Ryan so much.
Rebel Without a Cause - this is such a great teen movie. I was surprised about how much I related to it. Also, as if everyone didn’t already know, James Dean is gorgeous.
Thelma & Louise - what a beautiful story about friendship and badass ladies. This is exactly my shit. Yes.
Steel Magnolias - this was such a lovely, sad movie. Oh, I love it.
The Wedding Planner - this one set me on a JLo kick, because this was such an adorable movie. Her and McConaughey were adorable.
Maid in Manhattan - ah, JLo, you did it again. I loved this one so much. Loved it.
Save the Last Dance - I hadn’t heard of this one, but I saw Julia Stiles and immediately clicked. That was the right choice. This movie was so cute, oh, I loved it.
All the President’s Men - me geeking out over journalism, politics, and history for two hours? Yes please. Also Robert Redford is gorgeous and I never found him that attractive before.
Terms of Endearment - oh, break my goddamn heart why don’t you. Fuck, this was so heartbreaking. I loved it.
Taxi Driver - a garbage movie for garbage people. Imagine if Fight Club just like, wasn’t a good movie. That was the vibe of this one. God, don’t waste your time.
Singin’ in the Rain - what a lovely, fun movie. All three main characters were great, the songs were awesome, the relationships were fun, what more can I say? Oh yeah, Gene Kelly? Damn.
His Girl Friday - overall an okay movie, but it was pretty funny, and Cary Grant. Dear god, I love me some Cary Grant.
Good Will Hunting - oh, fuck me, this movie. How dare you make me feel such things, Matt Damon. What an incredible movie. It made me, a person who hates Ben Affleck, not hate Ben Affleck for two whole hours. It made me cry, of course. Robin Williams, dammit. Wow. And Matt fucking Damon was so brilliant, and so was Minnie Driver, and they were so good together, and I could gush about this movie for days.
Set it Up - as of now, I’ve watched this movie, oh, nine thousand times?? How perfect is this movie? All of the actors are great, and I’d watch two hours of just Charlie looking at Harper. Ugh. The way he looks at her gets me every time.
The Old Guard - I’m not usually a fan of action movies but this one was so good !! I loved the plot and just the idea in general, and all of the characters were so awesome. It was a really great movie.
Rewatches:
Tombstone - I could watch this movie every single day. Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday might be my favourite performance ever. I can quote almost this entire movie, and I don’t even like westerns.
Gladiator - I hadn’t watched this in a long time, and I knew it was good, but it was so, so, so good. Wow.
Memento - maybe my favourite movie ever. Definitely my favourite mind-fuck movie. So cool, and just. . . god, it’s such a good movie. Hats off to you, Chris Nolan.
The Usual Suspects - this is one of my favourite movies of all time. Everyone is so good in it and that ending is incredible. I could gush about this movie forever. Dean Keaton deserved better.
This is the End - such a funny movie, wow. Anything with Seth Rogen and James Franco is good. Jay Baruchel, wow. I adore Jay Baruchel.
You’ve Got Mail - in my books, the best romantic movie ever. I watch this shit constantly. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are so adorable together. Add in Dave Chappelle, and it’s perfect.
Unbreakable, Split, and Glass - M. Night Shyamalan is always good and I’ll fight anyone on that. These three expecially. He’s the absolute master.
Back to the Future 1-3 - if I’m being honest, they’re not the greatest movies, but fuck, aren’t they, though? They’re cheesy as hell, but absolutely iconic and I still love the hell out of them.
The Neverending Story - this is the weirdest goddamn movie I’ve ever seen but the nostalgia hit me harddd. This movie was my whole childhood and even though it’s absolutely disturbing, it’s still great.

One of my neighbors worked on the crew for American Idol a while back. Apparently nobody was allowed to look jlo in the eye and they had to make a lot of inconvenient accommodations for her. Like everyone knew you weren’t supposed to walk on the wires that connected to the equipment on set and would walk around them, but jlo ignored that to the point where they would repeatedly have to move the wires out of the way when they knew she was coming and move them back once she was out of the way

LMAOOO not shak flopping I choked. JLO is like a kpop idol to me. And if I was an artist I'd be very Britney Spears (teenage - her prime before the mental health decline) HyunA, Lee Hyori, and Rihanna performance wise. Vocals I'd want to be Mariah or somewhat closer to her later in my career plus I'd stop giving a fuck like her and be spoiled to the heavens always champagne drunk and "I don't know her" when media asks I hate a certain celebrity lol. I want demeanor of Aaliyah and her hair & make up, very prime lil Kim minus insecurity & bf issues and I want body of either Britney Spears peak or JLO actually lol.
And I'm gonna be ultra mega sensitive with my fan base and act like they're my children! Gonna be like Michael Jackson and throw parties for them at my house vowing to never age cause I wanna look like my 20s forever LOL.
I want to do a stage like Jiyeon never ever (1 min 1 sec) where she walks through the frames and her outfit changes. A performance like Slave 4 U, then one like Mariahs honey where I don't have to dance much be cute. One like girls day something but better outfits cause I have to give my male fans the tease. Then BOOM surprise and day whip out a military choreography like janet jacksons rhythm nation.
Then when I get into break up with T.O.P for the one millionth time and my sugar daddy Gong Yoo not around to pick up the pieces cause "image" I'm gonna do a Gwen stefani do doubt don't speak kinda ballad lmao. Struggle vocals the house honey but crocodile tear cry my way through that sketchbook show all the idols go on.
But yeah that's my stardom summed up. I want it like stages Tbh.

Tor’s Best Of The Decade: Reality TV
I did not realize I watch a lot of reality TV until I was making my TV list and had included a fair amount of them. I obviously prefer the talent competition side of reality TV over the more soap opera-y stuff.
10. Running Wild With Bear Grylls - The episodes where the celebrity is all in on the experience (Channing Tatum) are just as good as the ones where the celebrity does not want to participate (Shaq).
9. The Voice - The show is more entertaining than American Idol. It’s the judges. Unfortunately, it does not produce any superstars. I don’t understand why it doesn’t. How is Brynn Cartelli not a household name? She’s young and crazy talented. Kelly Clarkson let her open for her on tour. Why is she not famous? I don’t get it.
8. Project Runway - As someone who wears jeans and t-shirts all year round, I am continually surprised by how little I know about fashion. But the show is still enjoyable to watch in spite of its constant reminders of my sartorial deficiencies. I was very concerned when Tim Gunn left. He was the heart of the show, always encouraging people and reminding them that they’re great. I wish he could hug everyone who feels down in this world. It would be a better place. However, Christian Siriano seems to be a pretty great mentor too.
7. World Of Dance - I love how much the judges love dancing. I love that Derek Hough can be moved to tears multiple times a season. I love when a contestant gives JLo goosies. That’s different than goosing JLo. That doesn’t happen here. This is a nice show. I recommend Unity LA’s dance to “Piece by Piece.” It is pure art.
6. Holey Moley - My favorite part is when Rob Riggle makes Joe Tessitore crack up. I’m usually also cracking up. The golf part is fine but they make it for me.
5. Making It - It’s an arts and crafts competition show hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. I don’t need to say anything else about it.
4. Songland - While it is cool to see an aspiring songwriter have their song sung by a successful recording artist, I love seeing the artist and the professional songwriters throw out ideas on how to improve the song. It is awe-inspiring to see truly talented people working together in a room. Every song that wins is great but I will recommend “Green Light” by Jonas Brothers and “Somebody To Love” by One Republic (made my Top 25 Songs list).
3. American Ninja Warrior - I’ve been watching this since Kacy Catanzaro went viral and my enthusiasm has not waned. I can easily name 40 ninjas. I look forward to it every summer. Of all the obstacles, the only one I think I can do is pushing the buzzer at the end. I practice by using the button from Taboo.
2. Nailed It - “Fondant Balls!” “HHHWES!” “What are you waiting for? GO!” “That tastes wild.” “You’re a treat.” “Thick Cakes!” “HWES!” So many great moments on Nailed It. You learn so much. Like how people don’t like to measure. Or read directions. Or, when in trouble, use rice krispie treats. If you haven’t seen a Nailed It, I recommend either of the two Jason Mantzoukas guest judge episodes.
1. Great British Bake Off - It is such a nice show. The hosts are always ready with encouragement when it’s needed. The music is so soothing. The bakers will help other bakers if they’re in trouble. The bakers stay in touch after the show is over and you can follow their friendships on Instagram. It is the most wholesome thing on television.

Watching my childhood idols/teen heartthrobs from the 90s/early 00s age and try to keep up with the times is JARRING.
Like if this was 2006, Justin working with popular black artists would just be a collaborative effort. Or like a dream team.
Now it’s him needing them MUCH more than they need him. Which is not at all.
Shakira and JLo have to do the Super Bowl together because Rihanna said no.
