I keep seeing commercials about saving money on traveling or what company gives you the most flight mileage, and I get it because it's the time of the year when people typically travel, but I can't help but think
What average person even has the money to travel?? And how they want to??
So that got me thinking: are there any jobs where traveling is a requirement? If anyone has answers or helpful insight, please share! Especially for entry level jobs, jobs requiring no prior experience, and jobs for people trying to change career to something focused on traveling.
Please share this so more people can see this 🙏

I got a new job! By the grace of the Gods I’m getting out of the job that just makes me tired and miserable.
with all the talk about the bullshit “quiet quitting” term (fuck whoever came up with that), my version of it is just hoping my supervisors and HR won’t blab about me leaving so I can just quietly end this job without having to explain myself and my choice to leave with every person I work with.
anyway, I’m excited and hope it’ll be a good job for me to go into. Let the Gods guide me and make me wise, strong, and confident and keep me safe.
cheers,
D

[Reigen job if s&s closes]
Reigen Arataka | Mob Psycho 100
28-12-2022
y'all know what? if Spirit and Such Consultation Office is ever to close in the future because both Mob and Serizawa decide they want to do something else in life, I want Reigen to have a job that relates to dogs.
I dunno why I suddenly had this thought, but this man deserves to work with something he like, and he seems to quite like dogs, so he deserves to work with dogs 😤
Maybe a shelter or a dog café
Maybe he decides to go back to school to become an assistant veterinarian or something like this. Finding meaning in life in something else and in something where he doesn't need to lie to people
I can imagine Reigen sitting with dogs and not feeling too sad that people he knew now have their own life because he has furry friends to cheer him up (I mean, if this story ain't mrm xD otherwise Mob won't leave him)
I just want Reigen with dogs okay 😤 He deserves to be happy if s&s close and going back to some office job ain't good after all he's been through (dunno if they would give him the job too with this new record)
makes me realise that two of my latest fav character love dogs

Today is my last day at the job that I've struggled with, disliked, and felt trapped by for years. Just before my 30th birthday.
It's been a whirlwind trying to tie up loose ends and handle everything that comes with a job change... I've been so in the middle of it (or burnt out) that I haven't really acknowledged or completely felt the magnitude of this change.
But like, damn. This is awesome. I'm almost done with something that has been such a drain on me for so long. Really looking forward to my time off in between positions; I need it. Happy birthday and new life to me.

I start my new job on Monday. I put my notice in with my current contract and it sooooo sad. I love this company I don't want to leave but this is a FT position that will set my career up for the next 5 years. But still I'll miss the comfort of my old team. I hate to leave when they gave me a shot.

Old Job, New Job
I'm starting a new job tomorrow (traineeship, actually) and I'm incredibly nervous about how it will go and whether this is the right decision for me. So I'm going to weigh up the pros and cons of my job change.
Pros:
• Hours are during the day so I am now free for evening activities.
• It's a full-time traineeship so I'll be getting paid sick days and accumulating holiday leave.
• I won't be having school holidays off so I won't need to worry about putting additional money aside to get through.
• Though I'm on trainee wages now, the traineeship is only 18 months long so I'll be getting regular wages after only a year and a half.
• As a trainee, I'll be applicable for a concession Opal card (half price public transport fares).
• Gives me an official qualification in something so I have a defined career path.
• I've always wanted to work with either young children or animals, so this will allow me to do that.
• The work will be less physically demanding than my previous job. My back pains won't be as bad (hopefully).
• I will have less time to overthink or be bored, which both happen semi-frequently at the job I just left.
• There is a good chance my job would've been gone in October anyway.
Cons:
• It's a massive pay cut from what I was making and I don't get casual loading. I'll have to work almost twice the hours to make a similar income to the job I just left.
• I'm no longer free during the day and I have to wake up early for work again. No more sleeping in and lazing around.
• I don't get school holidays off.
• I don't get to put in earphones and listen to music or YouTube while I work. I used to listen to the Bible in a Year podcast while I worked.
• I don't get to be alone with my thoughts and have time to think.

Female MacGyver
Since I was a little girl, I have turned turned things into new things…
I once took an old metal vaccuum hose, put a rope through it and hung it like a trapeze in a tree (I had little oversight being my parents owned a mom & pop resort).
I cut flowers out of a Kleenex box and glued them on a piece of paper and I wrote a short poem to give to my mom.
I hammered holes into like one hundred beer…

Two months from the last post? 🤔 Time sure flies.
I resigned few weeks ago and today is my actual last workday at the current company. Tomorrow I’ll just reset my computer and return it to the office along with the ID card and keys. So happy 🥰
But today still is very hectic and busy day at work and in the evening my kid’s class organizes Halloween disco so I’ll be there 🎃

Holy crap, I didn't think Biden would be able to get the Climate Corps established without Congress. This is SUCH fantastic news.
--
"After being thwarted by Congress, President Joe Biden will use his executive authority to create a New Deal-style American Climate Corps that will serve as a major green jobs training program.
In an announcement Wednesday, the White House said the program will employ more than 20,000 young adults who will build trails, plant trees, help install solar panels and do other work to boost conservation and help prevent catastrophic wildfires.
The climate corps had been proposed in early versions of the sweeping climate law approved last year but was jettisoned amid strong opposition from Republicans and concerns about cost.
Democrats and environmental advocacy groups never gave up on the plan and pushed Biden in recent weeks to issue an executive order authorizing what the White House now calls the American Climate Corps.
“After years of demonstrating and fighting for a Climate Corps, we turned a generational rallying cry into a real jobs program that will put a new generation to work stopping the climate crisis,” said Varshini Prakash, executive director of the Sunrise Movement, an environmental group that has led the push for a climate corps.
With the new corps “and the historic climate investments won by our broader movement, the path towards a Green New Deal is beginning to become visible,” Prakash said...
...Environmental activists hailed the new jobs program, which is modeled after the Civilian Conservation Corps, created in the 1930s by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Democrat, as part of the New Deal...
Lawmakers Weigh In
More than 50 Democratic lawmakers, including Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, had also encouraged Biden to create a climate corps, saying in a letter on Monday that “the climate crisis demands a whole-of-government response at an unprecedented scale.”
The lawmakers cited deadly heat waves in the Southwest and across the nation, as well as dangerous floods in New England and devastating wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui, among recent examples of climate-related disasters.
Democrats called creation of the climate corps “historic” and the first step toward fulfilling the vision of the Green New Deal.
“Today President Biden listened to the (environmental) movement, and he delivered with an American Climate Corps,” a beaming Markey said at a celebratory news conference outside the Capitol.
“We are starting to turn the green dream into a green reality,” added Ocasio-Cortez, who co-sponsored the Green New Deal legislation with Markey four years ago.
“You all are changing the world,” she told young activists.
Program Details and Grant Deadlines
The initiative will provide job training and service opportunities to work on a wide range of projects, including restoring coastal wetlands to protect communities from storm surges and flooding; clean energy projects such as wind and solar power; managing forests to prevent catastrophic wildfires; and energy efficient solutions to cut energy bills for consumers, the White House said.
Creation of the climate corps comes as the Environmental Protection Agency launches a $4.6 billion grant competition for states, municipalities and tribes to cut climate pollution and advance environmental justice. The Climate Pollution Reduction Grants are funded by the 2022 climate law and are intended to drive community-driven solutions to slow climate change.
EPA Administrator Michael Regan said the grants will help “communities so they can chart their own paths toward the clean energy future.”
The deadline for states and municipalities to apply is April 1, with grants expected in late 2024. Tribes and territories must apply by May 1, with grants expected by early 2025."
