Hi everyone! It's been amazing to see the rise in jocassie content recently, and so I thought that a whole day to give us the chance to celebrate them was in order 💜 I've also recently hit a follower milestone so I thought what better time to spread the sapphicnatural love than now?

So on August 7th let's celebrate by posting art, fics, edits, amvs, gifs, poetry - any kind of content you fancy - as long as it's centered on our girls and their relationship!

I've thought up a few prompts to get the creative juices flowing but there's no pressure to follow them at all, and ALL jocassie content is welcome! Interpret the prompts however you wish <3

My mom's sleeping, I say, so I can't be too loud.

But you still make me laugh - couldn't avoid it if you tried.

And I get lost in the stars while we talk through the night.

Where your voice drips like honey into the warm Milky Way.

You should come visit, I beg, how long will you stay?

Not long enough though I'll take what I can get.

Close my eyes real tight, I can almost see you in my bed.

Can feel the silk of your skin under rough fingertips.

a jocassie poem for @mrcowboydeanwinchester’s jocassie day <33

i didn’t really use any of the prompts, but this is how i think they meet! it’s in that time period in s2 where jo wasn’t at the roadhouse. the poem’s pretty simple, but i wanted to play around with the rhyming scheme a bit, so i concentrated on that more

she sits at the bar, waiting

i look at her while wiping tables

the bartender has decided to flirt.

he talks about himself, his voice grating

spinning tales and improbable fables

instead of bringing her a drink.

i shake my head, stepping behind the bar

she catches my eye, her look focused

i try to hide the stain on my shirt.

her hand plays with the keys of her car

the nervousness in them almost unnoticed

i put down a beer for her with a clink.

“thank you” she says, the bartender leaves

i nod, the words stuck in my throat

she’s gorgeous, my heart races.

she plays with the edges of her sleeves

before shrugging off her coat

she asks “you know about witches?”

the air shifts, the situation suddenly tense

she needs my help, my expertise

i step forward a few paces.

“how can i help?” breaking the suspense

she lights up, a smile coming with ease

i want to hold her hand, my heart twitches.

for jocassie day!! i took pages focused on the failing romantic relationships of cassie and jo with dean, and i love the idea of this sapphic love story rising off the page from the ashes of god-enforced straight relationships. it also can be read with cassie's bit first and then jo's, but i found it hard to show the double paragraphs in the transcripts.

there's a lot to be said about jo and cassie allowing each other to truly be themselves and feel free and finding absolute peace with one another however. it is so important to me that these girls are unbelievably messy at least for a little while.

cassie has a history of dumping people when she thinks they're about to dump her. jo can be closed off and isn't always great at communicating her feelings but is also terrified of abandonment after both her dad and rick left her suddenly. it's therefore easy to imagine that cassie sees jo being cold and thinks she's going to dump her, so dumps her first. jo is the kind of person to be all or nothing and never leave once she's set on something, so alongside the abandonment issues that have now risen to the surface she's set on staying while cassie walks away.

we also see that both jo and cassie have very quick tempers - neither of them back down from a fight, cassie especially in a romantic context and also jo with her mother. so although they can be a very powerful couple together, when they turn against each other is can get explosive and hurtful quickly (the angry sex afterwards is great but not sustainable). they're both so stubborn that them coming around to one another's viewpoint takes a while too

cassie is also very attached to her job, as is jo, and their jobs are very different. cassie can't just up and move every time jo needs to leave to hunt, so jo feels tied down and cassie feels both guilty for making jo stay so long in one place and also constantly worried for jo's safely when she's away travelling.

what i'm saying is!!! these girls are wonderful for each other but also there is so much friction between them and we deserve to see that as well. when the sparks start flying how long does it take them to catch, how long does it take for the relationship to burn, and how long does it take for them to build it bigger and stronger again

idk if this has already been said or done but imagine if jo met dean around the time he and cassie were together and cassie started to feel jealous and then she'd become really obsessed because dean would spend a lot of time with jo doing dangerous stuff like hunting but also spending time having karaoke nights together and drinking at bars and cassie would go as far as stalking them to make sure dean wasn't cheating on her with jo but her focus would become less and less dean and more and more jo. with that shift she'd feel the weight of guilt and start to daydream about her love story with jo but she couln't. their love was forbidden. and it would break dean's heart. so she wouldn't but she'd make excuses to hang out with jo. and jo'd make her feel seen like dean never had. maybe it's the way she'd be playful without being too cocky. maybe it's the way she'd be badass and fierce but very gentle and tender. maybe it's the way she'd make her feel protected without having to feel scared of losing her. and she'd know that's the biggest scam of all but jo would be there. jo would always be there when she needed her. jo didn't leave. and jo was stunning. jo was a beautiful mystery she couldn't quite figure out. and jo was also an only child. she'd understand the loneliness that came with that. and jo was brave. brave to show her emotions. jo'd wear her heart on her sleeve but so she would do with her darkness, unafraid of being herself. and maybe for jo it was because cassie would make her feel safe and free. free to be herself without being judged. and cassie would love every part of jo. and jo would love every part of cassie. and they'd eventually move out somewhere in the countryside where they could live together. away from responsibilities and families and monsters. just them. and their effervescent evergrowing love for each other.
