So. what do y’all think about Eastward Octopia taking place in a parallel universe where none of the events in Eastward happened??

I think this is a really interesting thing to do, and I think it’ll work really well. While I was imagining another eastward game expanding on the main plot, I also feel like it would be hard to do that and have it be different from the original. While the ending was left very open ended, it felt right that way. I honestly couldn’t think of a more perfect way to go about making an eastward DLC, because if you want something more emotional and plot focused with more gameplay, you can play eastward, but if you want something more chill you can play eastward Octopia. It’s so perfect to me because sometimes I’m in the mood to get emotionally destroyed, and sometimes I want to see my favorite characters with a happy ending. And now, BOTH CAN BE CANNON!!!

But on the other hand, it’s really weird imagining the characters with none of the events in eastward happening to them. It’s also weird with there being two totally different eastward worlds that are both cannon, but I’ll probably get used to that. I also can see how some of those questions the original game left unanswered staying unanswered could be disappointing to some people. Thoughts??

I ultimately think this DLC is gonna be just what eastward fans need. Seeing my favorite characters get both bittersweet and happy endings is literally the best of both worlds <3

I just finished Eastward today cause mmmm octopia dlc came out and I didn’t had the motivation to do that before :333 after that ending tho, I REALLY need That wholesome dlc lol (the ending was heavy af TwT)

I might draw the lesbians (Alva and Isabel) soon and I would draw Solomon cause I like his design, BUT MAAAAN do I hate this dramatic ass man’s gut!!!

Towards the end of 2022 I finally got around to crossing Eastward off of my backlog, and I'm so happy I did. This game is so, so beautiful, in both its art and its story. It's a game that I know is gonna stick with me for a long time, so I HAD to draw something for it :)

Finally, after waiting for so long….

THERE IS AN EASTWARD DLC!!! 🎉🎉

My jaw physically dropped, I think I might start crying of joy. I’m honestly at a loss for words because of how AMAZING this looks!!!!!

It seems to be more of a farming simulator like stardew valley and less plot focused, which I love. And of course, The visuals look stunning as always.

I am curious as to when it takes place in relation to eastward, because Sam is still young and not end of game Sam, Alva is alive, but both daniels are there? PLEASE GIVE ME ANSWERS PIXPIL 😭😭

Anyways, it says in the description of the YouTube trailer that Sam and John are starting a new life as farmers. I CANNOT wait to see where this goes!!!!

say what you will about eastward but it really went off by making the main characters a completely nonverbal man who can't make a facial expression to save his life and his adopted daughter who has not once read a social situation accurately and also has an evil shadow realm self
