What I really liked about John Pfahl’s power and smoke is that it brought attention to something that I think needs more attention. Growing up I thought it was crazy how no one batted an eye at the black smoke coming from buildings in cars. I think what Pfahl did was bring attention to it in a way that was aesthetically pleasing but was still able to get his point across.
