Je continue le dernier de Fabrice Neaud à mon bureau. Je m’arrête au passage sur Dustan. Presque euphorique. Je note une question, deux. Je cherche dans Nicolas Pages ce passage où il parle de l’écriture de soi. Cinq cents pages, comment trouver ça. Je retrouve assez rapidement dans mon journal. Je remets ici : C’est qu’il n’y a pas trente-six solutions en littérature : soit on invente tout et on s’expose à une relative pauvreté de détail (sauf à réintroduire des petites merdes vécues dans l’histoire inventée) ; soit on raconte sa vie et on s’expose à une relative faiblesse dramatique (sauf à faire des mutants en greffant des événements et des personnages les uns sur les autres). En fait j’ai envie d’être beaucoup plus radical. En littérature, soit c’est soi, soit c’est du bidon. Envie d’envoyer les pages sur Dustan à Guillermo. Je ne le fais pas. On s’est vus hier, aujourd’hui. En sortant du dentiste à 11 heures, j’ai hésité. Je lui ai écrit. Juste pour un café. On déjeune ensemble. Il dit qu’il me trouve plus posé maintenant. Plus serein. Moins déboussolé. Je dis que oui, j’ai moins la tête dans le guidon en ce qui nous concerne. Sur ce que je ressens, et ce que je pense de nous, je m’exprime clairement, sans digressions ; il dit qu’il est fier de moi, à ce sujet. Je ne pourrais pas résumer deux heures de discussions ni en faire une retranscription fidèle, tout ce que je peux noter, c’est le moment où je lui ai dit que je l’aimais sans le regarder dans les yeux, et qu’il m’a répondu la même chose en retour sans me regarder dans les yeux — je le sais puisqu’à ce moment-là je le regardais, moi, je l’ai regardé très longtemps, la bouche émue, avec plus rien d’autre à ajouter. Tout avait été dit. Je suis monté une minute chez lui. Il m’a serré, je l’ai serré un peu, aussi. Puis beaucoup plus. Il m’a regardé quand j’ai descendu les escaliers.

J’allume une cigarette que je ne fume pas. Je ne fume pas, de toute façon. J’arrête la neuvième symphonie de Mahler. Je me remets No more tangles de John Grant, puis tous mes favoris en aléatoire. Bye Bye Blackbird de Nina Simone, C’est le moment de Véronique Sanson, Regrets de Mylène Farmer et Jean-Louis Murat ; j’ai le même compte Deezer depuis 2013. J’écris ça. Je repense à mon rêve de cette nuit avec Victor et à ses yeux sa bouche son corps et toute cette scène sexuelle qui s’est déroulée face à moi dans une incroyable clarté (réalisme : comme si j’y étais). Je me suis réveillé la bite dure et en retard pour mon rendez-vous dentiste.

Pour ce truc que j’ai commencé : La réticence de Jean-Philippe Toussaint, Le Livre de Jim-Courage de Mathieu Lindon… j’ai déjà oublié le reste. Peut-être Un homme disparaît de Pontalis (faut que je le relise).
