Shout-out to “Crazy Rich Asians” for giving us the year of Ke Huy Quan. If it weren’t for the success of that movie, Ke Huy Quan wouldn’t have been inspired to return to acting. So, because he was inspired by CRA, he returns to acting and:

1) wins a Golden Globe for his role in “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once”

2) joins the MCU in “Loki” season 2

3) gets a role in “American Born Chinese”

4) gets another big movie role in the Russo Bros’ next film, which also stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt

That is one hell of a butterfly effect.

I’m sure everyone’s aware of this by now but if you’re not, Quan famously played Short Round in the Indiana Jones movies and Data in The Goonies. This is his second role in front of the camera in the last twenty years.

Und auch den von einigen unserer Zuträger zumindest als besten Film des Jahres gepriesenen gelang es uns endlich anzuschauen. Michelle Yeoh als Wäschereibetreiberin, die schon mit der Steuerererklärung, ihrer Ehe und ihrer lesbischen Teenager-Tochter hoffnungslos überfordert ist, soll unerwartet die einzige sein, die das Multiversum retten kann, weil sie von allen alternativen Welten in dieser am wenigsten mit ihren unwahrscheinlichen Fähigkeiten angefangen hat. So findet sie sich plötzlich überall mit allem gleichzeitig wieder. Das ist naturgemäß ziemlich verwirrend. Aber lustig.

Everything everywhere all at once

Quante volte ho pensato alle scelte della mia vita che hanno escluso un mare di altre cose che sarei potuta essere. È impossibile non pensarci, e mi fa sentire terribilmente impotente e in colpa per le parti di me a cui ho rinunciato. Quanto sarebbe bello sapere come sarebbe andata la mia vita facendo delle scelte piuttosto che altre. Ecco, in questo film attraverso il mezzo del multiverso, viene messa in termini pratici questa riflessione. Alla protagonista viene data proprio questa possibilità, le viene fatto vedere coi propri occhi cosa sarebbe stata se avesse fatto scelte diverse. Nella vita di tutti i giorni, però, dopo aver viaggiato con la mente nelle ipotesi, bisogna sempre tornare coi piedi per terra, alla realtà delle cose. E allora anche la protagonista, alla fine del film, ritorna nel proprio universo. Ma ci torna con una tristezza di fondo: tutto è caos nel grande quadro delle cose, tutto è relativo, noi non contiamo niente se paragonati all’immensità del tutto, ogni decisione è futile. È così facile abbandonarsi all’accettazione apatica di questo nulla di fondo, e lei e Jobu ne sono un’esemplificazione: il bagel pronto a risucchiare tutto rappresenta perfettamente quanto è seducente il richiamo del nichilismo, quanto sarebbe facile lasciarsi finalmente prendere. Ma noi siamo di più di questo. Abbiamo il potere di guardare le cose in modo diverso, e non è affatto ingenuità. Possiamo mettere in atto una Resistenza del lato positivo, possiamo attaccare occhietti buffi dove vogliamo: dare importanza a quegli unici “piccoli frammenti di tempo in cui tutto ha senso”, vederli come il bicchiere mezzo pieno, trovare connessioni con le altre persone (che sono tutte nella nostra stessa “barca esistenziale”) tramite la gentilezza, affetto, amore (persino in un universo in cui esistono solo le rocce, esse possono decidere di muoversi per una buona causa). Con questo atteggiamento possiamo trovare la forza di restare nel nostro universo, di affrontare la nostra vita, che non si può scambiare con nessun’altra, ma che racchiude già in sé infinite possibilità.

En la vida tienes que ser perseverante para poder llegar a alcanzar tus objetivos, no importa cuánto tiempo te tardes en intentarlo y un claro ejemplo de esto es el actor nominado por primera vez como Actor de Reparto Jonathan Ke Quan por su destacable papel en la pelicula "Todo En Todas Partes Al Mismo Tiempo" interpretando al personaje "Waymond Wand" este destacable actor ahora está en foco de todo Hollywood cuando no era tan reconocido por ser un actor asiático que difícilmente puedes destacar en esta industria.

Desde 1984 cuando se estreno el principio de esta icónica secuela llamada "Indiana Jones" fue que apareció Ke Quan cuando el apenas era tan solo un niño, así empezó a sonar en hollywood pero al terminar la segunda entrega de Indiana Jones fue que desapareció y no destaco tanto o casi nada en Hollywood, fue entonces que en 2021 la productora A24 le otorgo un papel que iba a ser importante para la trama de esta increíble pelicula que también esta nominada en estos Oscars como mejor pelicula.

Ya gano premio en varias ceremonias de cine en este año entre ellas los Golden Globes y los Critic Choice Awards, todo apunta que en esta 95ª edición de los Oscars ganara el premio y por fin podrá reconocerse como como de ser
