Through Dying Stars - Spell It Out
Tumblr media
Alien!BountyHunter!Jimin x DeliveryGirl!Reader
Word Count: 1.4k
Genre: Alien AU, BountyHunter AU, Enemies to Friends to Lovers, Nonsexual NSFW/18+, Angsty, bits of Fluff, Slow Burn.
Warnings: Talk of enslaved aliens/people and prostitution. Threats to the crew and MC in regard to forced prostitution. A less than happy politician. Many of the characters are morally gray in this story. Please be warned!
Summary: With every passive aggressive sentence, you know that you’re digging the crew deeper and deeper into a galactic hole by refusing the Magistrate. If only you were a bad person. If only.
Notes: AH I’m so excited for this series that I had to get another part out so I could introduce the Stellar Crew! I’ve been writing during my breaks at work heh. Expect a slightly longer update early next week. ALSO this takes place before the the Intro. I listened to MIST by DIMLIM while writing this update! ⭐️
This Part 2 of the Through Dying Stars series. Find the Masterlist here ⭐️
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~“Sir, I understand the request, it’s just that we don’t transport… That type of clientele.” Others wouldn’t catch onto it very easily, but Namjoon looks severely uncomfortable. Understandable considering one of the top politicians of fucking Malvedria, Magistrate Lerferi, just asked him to transport slaves he’s trying to sell off as prostitutes. Nasty fuck, you’d think he’d have more decorum but a-fucking-las.
Yoongi and Tae sit to your side, Yoongi trying his best not to look livid as Tae’s slitted pupils dilate slightly, clearly getting lost in his own world to avoid listening in. Eyeing Yoon, you raise a brow and he sighs deeply to himself as Namjoon clears his throat to speak, only to be cut off but the Magistrate. You can’t wait to see how this goes considering it’s been back and forth for the last fifteen minutes.
“I promise you, they’re perfectly behaved and very excited to be transported Captain Kim. It’ll be no issue, I assure you.” His handsome face does nothing to hide the ugly underneath, the ice in his voice. Mock comforting words don’t do anything to make your crew feel better, the air in your ship still unbearably thick. Namjoon adjusts his chair, tilting his chin back a bit before carefully calculating his response, words coming out sure but slow.
“Even so Magistrate Lerferi, it’s been agreed upon my myself and my crew to to never transport the unwilling. Even if you assure me they’d be the perfect company, they’re still enslaved, and so I really must refuse.” You all agreed to never escort someone to their death, and so you nod in agreement. It’s quiet then, the four members of your crew staring at the screen as the politicians face loses its smile. It morphs into something nasty, lines on his forehead appearing as he practically snarls out his next words.
“So you’re refusing my request then.” Not a question, but a deadpan statement. You hear Yoongi mumble something quietly, only catching ‘fucker’ before Namjoon speaks over him to drown it out… This isn’t going to end well. Tae continues to stare at the ceiling, white bangs falling into his eyes.
“Yes Sir. I’m afraid I’ll have to, but if you’d like, I can steer you in the direction of-“ Ah, poor Joon. Always trying to find the best answer even though faked diplomacy is certainly a hardship. The politician smashes his hands down into his desk, the crack of it causing silence to persist.
“Listen here Kim, I didn’t think I’d have to spell it out but I will. I don’t think you understand just who you’re refusing; I could crush you in seconds and I’m more than willing to. So, I’ll ask one more time: Will you do this transport for me?” Oh goodie. There’s nothing quite like being ruined on a fine Tuesday night. Namjoon looks nearly flabbergasted, his mouth starting to open but no sound comes out so the man continues his little hissy fit.
“I have no issue ruining all four of your lives. A rogue Tarsinial, an outcasted Vovini, and two lowly humans would be easy enough to make disappear… On second thought, I could use your girl there in my little harem, she’s quite pretty.” The urge to throw up directly onto the monitor is strong, but you somehow hold it in. You can’t say the same for the look of disgust that crawls into your face, your Captain and best friend noticeably becoming very pissed off.
Yoongi stands up without a word and walks directly into the frame, blocking everyone else. Craning your head to check the feedback screen, he regards the camera with little interest. Perhaps he’s not really interested in what’s going on, or maybe he just really wants to piss the fuck head off. You’re going to go with the latter, a wry smile coming to your face. It’s easier to find rueful humor than acknowledge the building dread.
“Our Captain said no, so no, we won’t be doing the transport. Have a nice day and don’t contact us again Magistrate because I’ll make sure you fucking regret it if you do.” Making a show of it, he raises his hand before bringing it down on the button harshly to stop the call. Tae flinches at your side, eyes focusing back in slowly as he peers around the room. The screen blanks out and then disconnects, signaling that you’re all probably very fucked. Lovely.
“Fucking twat, fucking talking to us like that. Tch, like I’d let him touch you the nasty bit-” Yoongi starts to go on a rant about how all the politicians are trying to ruin your lives (he’s not wrong) as Tae inches closer to you. He raises a hand and waits to you gesture to him to speak before putting it down again.
“Does anyone want some coffee? I got beans from Tarnocia and they’re delicious-“ Namjoon clears his throat noticeably and cuts off poor Tae. The man just wants to enjoy the little things in life but once again, alas. You pat his shoulder consolingly.
“Yoongi, you shouldn’t have turned off the call like that. I know he was being uncouth but this… This could cause us a lot of problems.” Namjoons voice is quiet but firm, a clear indicator that a fight is probably going to break out soon. You’re due for one at this point; they haven’t fought since last months hoverboard incident. They start to bicker almost immediately, Yoongi having no issue with getting in the other man’s face and tugging on his long bangs.
“Well, fuck me and my coffee then.” You try not to giggle as you tell Tae that you’d love a cup, the Vovini excitedly running off to brew some without another word, swaths of fabric flowing behind him. You hope that it’ll get his mind off things a little, the situation probably hasn’t been pleasant for him.
“Namjoon, you were going in circles with that fucking loser. You could have talked to him for another seven hours and got fucking nowhere. And I’m top of that, did you hear what he said about her?” Not exactly wrong. The Magistrate, based on the very uncomfortably long meeting you had with him, doesn’t seem to be one to take no for an answer. Ever. Standing up and stepping forward, you decide to put in your two cents.
“I agree with Yooyoo. Threats to prostitute me out aside, there’s nothing we could have said to appease that man. He wanted us to transport enslaved prostitutes for fucks sake; we shouldn’t feel bad about saying no and we shouldn’t put Tae through it.” The Tarsinial grimaces before nodding, knowing that you’re right about the situation. There’s no need to make Tae relive the old days in any form.
“Alright. We’ll have to be in our guard for the next month at the very least. That man’s known for holding grudges and as Yoongi would say, we royally pissed him off.” Both of you nod, agreeing with your Captain. Hiding out is the only real option for now; it’s a dangerous game to mess with any sort of government anything and you managed to fuck with one of the highest ranks. Yay for you. Namjoon turns back to the screen, pulling up navigation as he kisses his teeth.
“Just to make sure we’re not being trailed, I’m going to have Tae reroute us. We don’t currently have any urgent deliveries to make, so we’ll be docking on Ecalaxar for a few days. We’ll have an official meeting about everything tomorrow.” Ecalaxar?! You’ve been dying to go on a shopping spree and the planet had some of the best shopping centers for clothing and jewelry. It’s like Namjoon is reading your cluster fuck of a mind, what a beautiful man.
“No fucking way! Holy shit Namjoon you’re the best captain ever.” You toss your arms around him, hugging the huge man tightly to your chest. His own chest rumbles as he laughs at your antics, patting your back a few times before you pull away from his luscious bosom. Yoongi doesn’t look very impressed, a very grumpy pout on his face.
“What about me? I raised you.” Rolling your eyes, you pinch his dumpling cheek just as he flicks your forehead. Even through he’s clearly trying very hard not to, he smiles a small smile, eyes warm as he regards you. Turning away, you flip your hand back as a signal of your leave, your own hidden smile turning the corner of your lips up. You’ll ignore the intense feeling of dread for now.
“Whatever you say, grandpapa. I’ll see you two later; I’m gonna go plan a shopping spree with Tae over coffee.”
Authorities in South Korea are preparing a clampdown on drugs after a gang allegedly gave spiked energy drinks to children, telling them it would help with their schoolwork.South Korea has reacted with both shock and fury after it was reported that a group of drug dealers was deliberately targeting children with drinks that contained methamphetamine. The suspects apparently told children "energy drinks" would help them study better.
The case took an even more alarming turn when it was reported that the crime group was also blackmailing the children's parents with the threat that they would report the families to police. The gang, made up seven Koreans and Chinese, demanded 100 million South Korean won (around E69,000, $75,500) from one parent before the police were called in.
Drug crime at an all-time high
"This is a deeply shocking incident," said Hyobin Lee, an adjunct professor of politics and ethics at Chungnam National University (CNU). "Although I recognize that Korea is no longer a drug-free country, it is truly surprising that drug crime is now even affecting minors."
And while the most recent incident appears to be a case of children in Seoul's wealthy Gangnam district being hoodwinked by dealers, Lee believes young Koreans are being influenced by the behavior of the rich and famous in society.
"The number of drug offenses has exceeded 10,000 cases per year since 2015," she told DW. "I think the increase in drug-related crimes by celebrities and drug abuse by Koreans who live abroad has now spread to the general public."
Last year, the number of arrests for selling or possession of illegal was at all-time high with 18,395 cases. With more than 2,600 arrests in the first two months of 2023, that record is likely to be broken.
High-profile actor Yoo Ah-in was arrested in March after testing positive for a cocktail of drugs, including cannabis, ketamine, cocaine and propofol, with K-pop composer and television celebrity Don Spike charged in September with using methamphetamine. Police in May raided a cannabis farm in western Seoul and seized more than 13 kilos (29 pounds) of the drug with a street value of 281.7 million won.
Launching of new narcotic unit
The South Korean government has now declared an all-out war against drug crimes.
President Yoon Suk-yeol addressed a cabinet meeting on Tuesday and ordered his ministers to stamp out drug abuse, with a particular focus on teenagers. Yoon said he found it personally "alarming" that young people are able to obtain illegal narcotics easily.
"A decade ago, Korea had a status as a drug-free country thanks to coordination between law-enforcement agencies, such as prosecutors, the police, the coast guard, health authorities and customs officials," Yonhap News quoted Yoon as telling his ministers.
"But at some point, the government became complacent in a way that illegal drugs began to destroy not only ordinary people's minds, but also the hopes and dreams of our younger generations."
The government this week announced the establishment of a new narcotics investigation unit, made up of 840 officials drawn from across government agencies, to enforce measures against drug crime that were introduced late last year. The new measures included a crackdown on online adverts for illegal narcotics and restrictions for doctors prescribing large doses of legal drugs.
Authorities are stepping up anti-drug education and increasing penalties for drug crimes. Yoo Gyeong-joon, a politician with the ruling People Power Party on April 14 proposed a bill that will permit courts to pass the death penalty on drug dealers who sell narcotics to children.
"The question is not whether the bill is too extreme or not, but whether it is viable," said Lee. "I do not think it can be enacted because first-time drug offenders usually end up with fines or probation."
"I think we should do more to educate minors," she added. "Currently, schools educate students on the dangers of smoking and drinking, but not about drugs. Education on the dangers of narcotics should be rushed out to students and the general public."
South Korea is not a 'dystopia'
David Tizzard, an assistant professor of education at Seoul Women's University and a newspaper columnist, notes that drug abuse is still a relatively minor problem and that Korea remains a safe country. "The recent incident involving children and drugs in Gangnam was horrific," he agreed. "Naturally, there was widespread condemnation and the authorities have moved quickly to investigate the incident."
"The worry is, however, that people in other countries will see this and it will immediately reinforce their images of Korea and other Asian countries as a techno-orientalist dystopia inhabited by unhappy people and filled with tragic cases such as these."
Tizzard points out that, in reality, there is little in the way of anti-social behavior on the streets. Parks and public areas are not full of graffiti and drug paraphernalia, university students do not come into class stoned or walk around in a daze, and parents do not worry about their teenage children getting into drugs or violence, he said.
"This story is news because it's so rare and stands out in a society which is otherwise relatively free of widespread drug problems when compared relatively to Europe or North America," he added, warning that such reports can "create a false image in the minds of those who don't live and work here."
Only 2 episodes until the final episode of 'Red Single Heart'...
Tumblr media
The story of Lee Joon, Kang Han-na, Jang Hyuk, and Park Ji-yeon, who go back and forth on a tight tightrope, is running towards the end.
KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Red Single Heart' (directed by Yoo Young-eun, written by Park Pil-joo, produced by G&G Production), aired every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 pm, is an unprecedented ' It captured the hearts of small screens by creating a 'Romantic Romance of the Court'.
In the midst of this, 'Red Single Heart', which has only two episodes left until the final episode, is planning to further maximize the immersion of the play by revealing a special spectating point that you can't take your eyes off of until the end.
◆ Lee Jun-Kang Han-na, excitement → sadness A romance between two people! What will their relationship be like? In the 14th episode, Lee Tae (Lee Jun) heard the news of Yoo Jung (Kang Han-na)'s reunion, saying, "I'm sorry. looked at On the other hand, she angered about the death of Dong-geum (Ah Yoon-seo) and the dethronment of Choi Ga-yeon (Park Ji-yeon), as well as over the poisoning of Lee Tae. Lee Tae, who had been feeling uncomfortable throughout Yoo Jung's story, left her seat, and the sincere conversation between the two of them brought tears to the eyes of the viewers.
However, when Yoo-jeong found out that it was Lee Tae who made the contrast convergence and put the country in jeopardy, a new phase came to their relationship once again. She felt betrayed by his play, and the tension between the two made her hands sweat. Attention is focused on what will happen to the fate of the 'Reason Couple' who repeats getting closer and further away.
◆Jang Hyuk, will you finally bring down Park Ji-yeon, who sat down with my own hands? "I will dethrone Big Mama!" Park Gye-won (Jang Hyuk) couldn't stand her Choi Ga-yeon's brutality, which was getting worse as her days went on, and eventually pointed her sword at her. As a result, he was locked up in my office building, and to the question of contrast, "Are you really planning to kill me?", the heart of the left-hander who answered, "It's just deplorable that I couldn't kill Mama," made the viewers' hearts shiver.
At the end of episode 14, Lee Tae added coolness by saying that he would use Park Gye-won as a 'hounding dog'. Anti-government officials, including the left, were ordered by the king to write down the name of the Yeokdang, so Park Gye-won asked for a private study. At Lee Tae's words to offer the Daejeon as a sacrificial sacrificial sacrificial sacrificial sacrificial sacrificial service, the left sergeant said, "Park Gye-won, a new member of the government, I will dethrone Dae Dae-mama by following the will of His Majesty!" is leaning
◆ Concentrate on the stories of various characters and their future moves! On the other hand, the story of various characters struggling to survive each draws attention. In particular, for the sake of her beloved daughter Jo Yeon-hee (Choi Ri), attention is focused on what kind of sanctions Jo Won-pyo (Heo Seong-tae), who has been observing Choi Ga-yeon's tyranny, will be subjected to because of Lee Tae's rebellion. In addition, she wonders what kind of end will be faced by Jeong Eui-gyun (Hado Kwon), who suffered the death of Hye-gang (Oh Seung-hoon), whom she cherished like her own son, and Jo Yeon-hee, who has survived once again thanks to her father (父親). .
Ahn So-hee, an excellent reasoning for elaborate operation design
Tumblr media
In the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Missing: They Were There 2' Ahn So-hee is playing a brainchild between Go Soo and Heo Jun-ho.
'Missing: They Were There 2' (Director Min Yeon-Hong Lee Ye-Rim/Screenwriter Ban Gi-Ri Jeong So-Young/Planning Studio Dragon/Producer Mace Entertainment Doo Frame/Hereafter 'Missing 2') is a reactivated 'missing people', a new village of spirits, and their earnestness. A fantasy chase drama of 'The Soul Seeing Combi'.
It is heart-wrenching with a warm-toned story that uncovers the truth behind the deaths of the residents of the 3rd industrial complex in the village of spirits and allows them to overcome resentment and sublimate.
Among them, Lee Jong-ah (played by Ahn So-hee), based on her excellent hacking skills, plays a big role as a brain helping Kim Wook (played by Go Soo) and Pan-seok Jang (played by Heo Jun-ho), exuding a strong presence. He helps the investigation of the case of Kim Wook, Jang Pan-seok and Detective Shin Joon-ho (Ha Joon) by finding all the people of the Soul Village Industrial Complex 3, from their personal information to their whereabouts at the time of their disappearance, even with small clues.
Lee Jong-ah not only makes perfect inferences based on the collected information, but also sets up a meticulous strategy to catch the criminals who harmed the missing people, adding to the speed of solving the case with quick brain rotation and executive power.
In particular, in episode 7, Lee Jong-ah uses the mountain location signs 1-8 that Jang Pan-seok found in a picture of a child, Iroha (Kim Ha-eon), as a clue, and quickly searches for mountains with the same sign, which is the mountain with the highest probability of having Iroha's body. Following the discovery, he repeatedly emphasized the sign to Detective Il-Doo Baek (Ji-Han) of the missing team to induce a search.
In episode 10, Lee Jong-ah heard that the serial killer who killed Jang Pan-seok's daughter's local friends was related to the Blue Bird Hope Foundation, and analyzed all the volunteers' applications to find out that the serial killer was caregiver Kim Gun-joo (played by Oh Yoon-hong). Moreover, he played a big role in uncovering all the additional crimes of Kim Geon-joo, who had been murdering poor people in the name of making them peaceful.
Lee Jong-ah opened a cafe near Industrial Complex 3 to cover the expenses needed to find the missing people, and set up a new hideout to facilitate the investigation. A bar that warms the heart by doing its best. Expectations are rising as to what kind of activity Lee Jong-ah will do in the future as a strong supporter of Kim Wook and Jang Pan-seok.
this man deserves a standing ovation. Lee mina, the writer deserves the same. this has quickly become my favorite drama of the year. no fluff, the drama did a good job maintaining a happy note, or rather that we all must keep living despite the scars we bear.
the end of episode 15 was by far the most heartwarming moment Young-Do and Dr Chase have had. episode 16 is tonight so i will see how that wraps up and make a full review.
Do You Like Brahms ?: The Significance of Traumerei and Widmung
I am an impatient woman. This quality of mine is exactly why I can no longer watch American tv shows because I simply do not have the patience to watch past a season. This exact quality is what makes it incredibly difficult for me to watch on-going kdramas. I operate by a simple policy: If I cannot binge watch a kdrama over a weekend, then I most probably will not be watching it. However, Do You Like Brahms? was a notable exception to this rule. Despite juggling three lab courses, an internship, and a tutoring gig, I somehow managed to tune into Do You Like Brahms? every Monday and Tuesday and believe when I say that I watched every episode three times. I would first watch the clips that SBS uploaded for each episode before watching the unsubtitled version, and then, I would end my evenings with the complete English subtitled version. I was practically obsessed with the show, even though the show was in many ways imperfect. However, when it came to writing the review, I felt like the original review I wrote didn’t give me room to completely analyze the show to my heart’s content. In this post, I want to focus on the roles of Traumerei and Widmung as motifs reinforced throughout the plot.
Tumblr media
The first time that Chae Song Ah and Park Joon Young have a real conversation is when they are both waiting for their respective friend at the airport and Joon Young asks Song Ah what she had to do to land the internship at Kyunghoo Cultural Foundation and Song Ah explains that she designed a concerto surrounding Clara, Schuman, and Brahms and Joon Young asks if the theme of her concert was unattainable love to which Song Ah responds that it was instead a story of three friends. She then asks Joon Young the titular question, “Do you like Brahms” , to which Joon Young resolutely responds no and we soon discover . This brief conversation speaks volumes for the current state of Joon Young and Song Ah’s lives. Though it may not be apparent, unattainable love and friendship are really the same sides of the same coin as both Joon Young and Song Ah are stuck in love triangles. Joon Young has feelings for Jung Kyung, but knows that a relationship between them can never materialize because their friend Hyeon Ho is deeply in love with Jung Kyung. Similarly, Song Ah harbors feelings for Dong Yoon, but conceals them because of his relationship with her friend Min Sung. For both of these individuals, what they conceive as “love” is unattainable, but it is ultimately sacrificed for the necessity of friendship.
Perhaps no one grapples with this notion more than Joon Young because he is immediately forced to confront the mess of Jung Kyung wanting to break off things with Hyeon Ho to be with him right when he starts to take the initiative to move on from her. He knows that pursuing a relationship with Jung Kyung will ultimately be one that brings pain, but he’s a man struggling with  feelings of lingering attachment. We see that in how he plays “Traumerei” by Schuman as a warm-up before his practice and it also happens to be Jung Kyung’s favorite song. In many ways, Traumerei is a symbolic representation of the ties that needs to be cut and we start to see him do that when he pursues a friendship and ultimately a romantic relationship with Song Ah.
When Joon Young and Song Ah enter into a relationship, there are already many underlying problems that threaten its foundation. For Joon Young, he cannot completely remove Jung Kyung or successfully establish boundaries that stop her from feeling like she’s entitled to his personal and professional life because of her problematic clinginess. Song Ah, who already suffers from serious self esteem issues regarding her ability as a violinist, constantly compares herself to Jung Kyung ( a violin prodigy) and questions if someone like her can really date the “great” Joon Young. For both, Traumerei really is a song that encapsulates their insecurities and we see the song make a reappearance right when it seems like Joon Young and Song Ah’s relationship is heading towards a train wreck. When Song Ah discovers that Joon Young played Traumerei, things spiral into chaos and we see them break up because Song Ah realizes that this relationship can no longer superficially exist when they cannot be honest about each others’ feelings.
Tumblr media
However, just when the audience starts to get the idea that this tale may become one about “the one that got away, we see our characters thrive individually and reunite, giving us a sweet satisfying end to a drama that elicited a plethora of emotions. Song Ah finally comes to terms with the fact that her emotional relationship with the violin has changed. The violin has no longer become something that she loves but a source of immense burden as playing violin has forced her to navigate a toxic clout-focused environment. Instead, she chooses to pursue a profession in concert and event planning so she could continue to love classical music for simply being music. Jung Kyung realizes that her efforts to win back Joon Young are meaningless and futile, and Joon Young finally speaks up for himself by confessing his love for Song Ah. Its a pleasant surprise when he expresses this through his performance of Widmung, which moves Song Ah to tears and pushes her to reciprocate Joon Young’s feelings. I find this scene especially beautiful because a piece by Schuman that symbolized so much heartbreak for the both of them was replaced by another piece by Schumann that symbolizes hope and love. While Traumerei means dream, Widmung means dedication and the transition from one song to the other symbolizes the growth of Joon Young and Song Ah. In the beginning of Do You Like Brahms, the idea of achieving true contentment was in many ways treated as an unattainable dream by Joon Young and Song Ah. Joon Young constantly put others before himself and Song Ah constantly felt unworthy. However, at the end, by choosing to dedicate themselves to a relationship founded on reciprocity and love, they are able to face their inner turmoil and purse what truly makes them feel happy.
Drew Rucinski Shuts Out Bears To Take Series!
Dinos 5 Bears 0 W-Rucinski (6-1) L-Flexen (3-2)
Drew Rucinski was a fringe Major League pitcher for years with the Angels, Twins, and Marlins. He has found a home with the NC Dinos in his second year of KBO play. Tonight, he pitched his team to victory against a good Doosan Bears team on the road. Drew Rucinski and Chris Flexen squared off in a pitcher’s duel in Seoul. Both starters threw up four shutout innings to begin the game then the Dinos offense got to work in the fifth. Sung-Wook Kim reached a one-out single to ignite the rally. Min-Woo Park singled to right to bring up Hee-Dong Kwon, who drilled a Chris Flexen hanging curveball out to left for a three-run homer. This put the Dinos up 3-0 after five innings of play. The Dinos would continue to tack on runs in the seventh. Min-Woo Park belted a Won-Joon Choi offering out to right for a solo blast and NC had a four-run lead. Meanwhile, Drew Rucinski threw seven shutout innings and the Dinos got another insurance run in the eighth. Aaron Altherr blasted a Gyu-Hoon Lee fastball out to left for a solo homer and the Dinos had a 5-0 lead. Yoon-Gu Kang threw a scoreless eighth and Dinos closer Jong-Hyun Won came on for the ninth. He had a quick 1-2-3 ninth as the Dinos took the series from the Bears at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
-Final Thoughts- Drew Rucinski was phenomenal today for the Dinos. He threw seven shutout innings and allowed four hits with two walks and five strikeouts. He had all of his pitches working today. Chris Flexen was solid for the Bears. He went five innings and allowed three runs on seven hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. Min-Woo Park went 4-for-5 with a homer and an RBI on the day. Eui-Ji Yang and Aaron Altherr had two hits each. Kyoung-Min Hur and Joo-Hwan Choi had two hits for the Bears. The Dinos have now extended their lead in the KBO to four and a half games over the Bears. The Heroes have been red hot and are three games behind them in second place. The next game will be the Bears and Heroes on Tuesday night. Hui-Kwan Yu will likely get the start against Seung-Ho Lee at the Goycheok Skydome in Seoul.
Kang Han-na, Park Ji-yeon "I'm pregnant with Lee Jun's child"
Tumblr media
'Red Single Heart' Kang Han-na told Park Ji-yeon about her pregnancy.
On the afternoon of the 13th, KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Red Single Heart' showed Dae-Dae (Park Ji-Yeon) asking Yoo-Jeong (Kang Han-Na) to go to the private palace where Lee Tae (Lee Joon) is recuperating.
On this day, Heo Sang-sun (Cha Soon-bae) informed Dae-dae that Yoo-jeong was visiting Pyun-jeon and wanted to see him. In response, the ministers opposed Yoo-jeong's entry and exit, saying, "It is a taboo among taboos for the insider list to be on the sidelines. There is no such thing as arrogance." When Huh Sang-sun asked, "Should I get kicked out?", Dae-dae said, "It's a clever inner palace, so even a bad person must have come prepared. Please stop by."
Yoo Jung-eun asked Dae-dao to release the dung-geum (Yoon Seo-ah), and put pressure on Dae-dae, saying, "I'm telling you that it's not the job of the eunuchs. To this, the contrast said, "Is it only because of me that the roster dared to break into the battlefield?" and instructed to bring out Yoo-jeong. At that time, Yoojung said, "So-cheop has inherited your majesty's bloodline. I have Mama's grandson and your majesty's child. Grandma-mama. If you have pity on So-cheop, please grant me permission to go to the palace where your Majesty is located." To this, Dae-bi made a complicated expression, saying, "A boy could be born. Isn't that an honorable mention of the country?
Values that made ‘Curtain Call’ look new
Tumblr media
KBS2’s Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Curtain Call’, which ended on the 27th, was a heart-warming drama. In it, the message of family love and love left behind by Geum Soon Geum (Go Doo Shim) when she passed away clearly shone. The family love that could not be broken even in the midst of war formed a beautiful sumi relationship and completed a depressing impression. So, the remaining families were able to draw a lively future in search of their own happiness.
The final episode recorded a rating of 5.7% (Nielsen Korea), and the scene where Seo Yoon-hee (Jung Ji-so) honestly confesses her feelings to Yoo Jae-heon (Kang Ha-neul) recorded the highest rating of 6.7%.
'Curtain Call' is the story of people involved in the greatest scam on earth by a man (played by Kang Ha-neul) who received an unprecedented special mission to make the wishes of a terminally ill grandmother, Geum Soon-soon, come true. However, looking at it now that the final episode has been broadcast, I have found more value than just a scam. It wasn't cheating, it was a play.
Neither Jae-heon Yoo (Ha-neul Kang), the fake grandson of Jeon Geum-sun, nor Moon-seong Lee (Sang-hyeon Noh), her real grandson, made everyone realize their roles and values. Geum Soon knew that Yoo Jae Heon was not Ri Mun Sung. However, she did not detect, report, or punish fakes. Rather, she made me understand the role of fake. She made me realize that even a fake could become real if she was sincere.
Her real grandson, Lee Moon-seong, eventually let go of her hatred and resentment and honestly conveyed her words that she missed her, warming the heart of Geum-soon, who had suffered from her cold heart.
Her wealth, left behind by her net worth, was divided equally among her southern grandsons as well as her northern true grandson Li Wencheng. She left no legacy to her fake grandchildren.
However, the property that the real grandson Li Moon-seong will receive was entrusted to Jeong Sang-cheol (Sung Dong-il) until she acquired Korean nationality. It was the will of Jeon Ji-soon that Ri Mun-seong would take root in the south and settle down well. In doing so, in the end, Geumsun's great will to unite her family as one without the sale of the hotel, which was her eldest grandson Park Se-joon's (Ji Seung-hyeon) plan, was embedded in her legacy.
‘Curtain Call’ showed the difference as a K-drama in that it dealt with the pain and separation of the nation. In addition, the 'play within a play' setting, in which theater actors act in real life, was selected as another differentiated charm from existing works.
This distinction has received word of mouth not only in Korea but also abroad, and has received attention as it consistently rises to the top of the world through various OTT services such as Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten Viki, and iQiyi International. It is proof that the healing message of family and love, which are universal languages, was conveyed to people around the world through Korea's special history, leaving a deep lingering impression.
The synergy of famous actors also played a big part in the work. Kang Ha-neul, Ha Ji-won, Go Doo-shim, and Seong Dong-il each performed a high-density performance worthy of the 2022 Acting Grand Prize.
Kang Ha-neul took on the role of Yoo Jae-heon, an unknown theater actor who became the fake grandson of Jang Geum-soon, and captivated viewers with his monstrous immersion. Ha Ji-won showed a more mature performance as Park Se-yeon, the charismatic general manager of Hotel Nagwon and a warm and kind hearted person.
Go Doo-shim took on the role of Geum-soon Geum-soon, the founder of Hotel Nakwon, who has an upright mentality even with a time limit of three months, and impressed with the expressiveness of characters on a different level. With Go Doo-shim at the center, the actors' performances were able to gather.
Seong Dong-il brilliantly played the role of Sang-cheol, the assistant to Geum-soon, who arranges everything for her to make her happy and let her go.
Romance wasn't the sorting out winners and losers like real and fake fate. Yoo Jae-heon (Kang Ha-neul) decided to have a serious meeting with Park Se-yeon (Ha Ji-won) as a theater actor, not a fake sister. Seo Yoon-hee (Jung Ji-so) said that she liked Yoo Jae-heon, and she chose her trip to the United States as planned. Bae Dong-jae (Kwon Sang-woo) first proposed to Park Se-yeon to break off her engagement, then asked for a new chance. Both Kwon Sang-woo and Jung Ji-so were cool characters in the melodrama.
