Jorel

Jonk’s parents went on a mission when he was one year old and never returned. Basically everyone thought they were dead. Just like the person that gave Jonk to Mall’s grandfather, who raised him. His parents were alive tho, probably captured and hold as prisoners. They were able to escape after a while but since they didn’t have their scouters or their space pod’s navigation system, they couldn’t find the way back home. Soto and Akibi traveled through space for many years to return to their little baby, but in vain. 

That was when Jonk’s little brother Jorel was born. When Jorel was about 14 the little family met another saiyan by accident and were finally able to return to their planet where Akibi desperately tries to find her little son – not so little anymore. They pretty much messed up Jonk’s life, who grew up thinking he had no parents. Now he has a dad, a mum AND a little brother, which probably surprised him the most. After that Akibi and Soto are trying to settle on their old home planet. Jorel loves his big brother from the very beginning and wants to stay with him and Mallow, both agree.

Jorel is younger but already much stronger than Jonk, he knows that his big brother is a bit naive and not the brightest but admires him anyway and sees him as a role model due to his kind and friendly mind. He is very protective of Jonk and tries hard to keep him from being hurt, both emotionally and physically.  

He grew up travelling and never stayed at the same place for more than a week. Due to that bohemian lifestyle he speaks many languages and is very open-minded and tolerant. Just like Jonk he is a sweet, caring and unconventional person without prejudices. The difference is that Jorel is very intelligent and rather quiet. He is polite but much too honest, which got him more than once into trouble. His hair is shorter than Jonk’s and reaches the middle of his back. It’s also a lot messier and since he always wore it open, it somehow annoyed him. When he met Chicory she carved him a barrett out of a piece of wood to hold it back. He proudly wore it since that day.
