Just like many others, I am stunned by the death of Naya Rivera, but the one thing that always comes to my mind is what she did for her son. I CAN'T get it out of my head.
One could say "All parents would put their child before them, you'd understand if you had kids", but not all parents love their children unconditionally and you don't have to be a parent to be selfless.
Choosing someone before or over yourself is what HEROES do.
God only knows what thoughts are in your head when you're in a dangerous situation, some would argue you could be too frantic to think.
But in her last moments, Naya decided, no matter what she was feeling: "My son first."
I hate that we lost her, but she went as a hero, guys. Without having to even think about it: she went as a hero.

ayoh, tw; glee, naya and cory
this is so fucking eerie
some of the glee cast and nayas family waiting at the lake where naya disappeared
i can’t believe this is real on today of all days.
i pray for her son. i pray he knows what amazing things his mother did. i pray he knows his mother loved him. her last moments were saving him.
if you haven’t seen, joseys statement was released. the boat started floating away and his mom boosted him into the boat. by the time he got safely on the boat and turned around his mother was gone.
naya with her acting on glee, and glee as a show, saved my life many times. her characters story lines made me comfortable with exploring my sexuality in middle school high school and college. the unholy trinity were my favorite characters.
on this day we also remember cory. seven years he left us. at least the ones that are still here got to see each other today, under such bad circumstances. and naya and cory get to reunite in heaven.
m**k is in hell obviously

“Stars” - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

I lit a fire with the love you left behind
And it burned wild and crept up the mountain side.
I followed your ashes into outer space
I can't look out the window
I can't look at this place
I can't look at the stars
They make me wonder where you are
Stars
Up on heaven's boulevard
And if I know you at all
I know you've gone too far
So I, I can't look at the stars
All those times we looked up at the sky
Looking out so far
We felt like we could fly.
And now I'm all alone in the dark of night
The moon is shining
But I can't see the light

I never really post on here, but to have to person who played one of the first LGBT characters in a show die is just heart wrenching. Naya Rivera playing Santana, helped me find myself when I had no one to guide me, and through her brilliance of her portrayal of Santana. I have found not only freedom to be myself, but friends and family, from the zeta boards to tumblr and all the wonderful thousands of fanfics created by many and all, through fandom wars and drama, I will miss her terribly and knowing that she was a good person through and through despite drama and gossip, I am proud to been apart of the fandom that she helped create. All my thoughts and wishes go to her son, as well as friends and family. Where ever you are Naya I know you are the shining star you always were.

There are not enough and proper words to express how sad I feel about Naya but also how thankful I am that she actually managed to save her little boy

Naya Rivera’s final act on Earth was saving her son. A mother’s bond to her child, specifically the bond these two had, is a love that can never be matched. Rest In Power, Rest In Love

Damn, i hope Josey is gonna be ok. Irrespective of any recent controversies involving Naya, no child should EVER have to (possibly) bury their parents.

I just keep thinking about that poor little boy, who will never see his mommy again, who won't have her there when he really needs her.
No child should have to bury their parent at such a young age.
Josey, sweetie, I feel for you so much little man, and knowing that the last thing your mommy did in her life, was make sure your safe, she clearly loved you so much.
She might not be with you physically, but we all know that she's gonna watch over you, your whole life.
She's up there now, watching over you, and she always will be.
R.I.P Naya, we all miss you so much 💔
