I'm really exhausted and I hate admitting it because it feels like a failure to admit but work is draining me more than it's giving me anything. I always see other teachers talk about how they still love it despite the stress because they love working with kids and seeing their students have moments of success and it's just... I haven't had that in so long. It's just a row of disappointments, rude kids, my efforts not being acknowledged by them, I'm just tired. And I don't say that lightly because I'm someone who always assumes the best, especially if someone tells me a class or a student is really difficult. But I'm just so tired now and I need moments of success too or people telling me I'm doing a good job. But I don't get that. Instead I get pressure to work more and be more perfect and more innovative and I just can't do that right now. I should probably drop out of that stupid work time study because no one is doing it seriously, there's always pressure to work more and not "skew the results" with low work time so we can put adequate pressure on politicians to change the system. And the way my co-workers treat this with ramping up the pressure and telling you not to participate if you don't work "enough" is scientifically speaking actually skewing the results but whatever. I'm tired of that extra pressure. So I'll probably drop out of that. It won't do anything about feeling as if all the work I put in is not appreciated but it's one factor less that pressures me to work myself into the ground
