Dear people of Tumblr, may I present to you the project I've been working on for the past few months. I didn't talk about it here like I did on Instagram but since summer 2023, I've been writing the script, storyboarding and drawing a 52 pages Jotawife comic (this wasn't supposed to be this long at first lmfao). The tone may be quite different from the comics you've already seen from me during those past three years. I wanted to share a deeper intepretation of Florida Woman that I have but didn't necessarily show (i.e., you'll get some Lórienn Jotawife lore + angst). These 12 first pages are the first batch; there will be probably 4 or 5 batches in total (if I actually manage to see the end of this comic ajajnaaknjaa) This comic is available on AO3 as well I would be lying if I said that I'm not stressed about sharing this. I'm actually terrified haha.. I've spent an insane amount of time and effort in this project and poured a lot of myself into it. Now, I'm not proud of everything for this first batch - it is in fact very flawed, but if I have to listen to my perfectionism for all the mistakes I see in my work, I wouldn't post anything jsjs However, I'm still proud that I managed to go this far already. I hope I'll do better for the next batches. Anyway, have a good reading! As flawed as this comic is, I hope you'll at least have a good time! Thank you

Would you like to talk about Jotawife headcanons? I have a version of her and a Stand I am always itching to talk about.

Yes I'd love to! Here's a few of mine:

•Marina is half Mexican and half Puerto Rican, she's fluent in Spanish and English. She's also a lepidopterist (scientist of moths and butterflies)

•Marina could not swim to save her life when she first met Jotaro, he taught her how to swim as best as he could

•Only early on into their marriage did Jotaro admit to Marina that he liked her the very first time they met because she yelled at him (he likes them bossy)

•Their first date was at an aquarium in Florida and Jotaro had to contain his excitement at everything he saw (he eventually couldn't hold it in any longer and started blabbering about facts about every fish they saw)

•Marina gifted Jotaro that one pen that Josuke took out of his coat in the Surface episode (he got it back)

•Jotaro picked up a lot of Spanish from Marina and vice versa. While he's not very good at speaking it he does understand Spanish very well. Marina on the other hand had a harder time learning Japanese

•Marina influenced Jolyne's love for butterflies from a very young age and gifted her most of her butterfly earrings

•Marina gets along really well with Holly and Suzi Q, they're all very talkative together and love to cook together while they chat

•Jolyne successfully bullied Jotaro into talking to her mom again because she couldn't stand him fidgeting with his wedding band any longer. Jotaro was a nervous wreck as he stood on Marina's doorstep

•not long after they met again they got remarried and Jotaro eventually told her everything about stands, it took a while for her to get used to them

•she's the opposite of Jotaro when it comes to personality, she's outgoing, charismatic, goofy, and loud while Jotaro isn't. They both bond over appreciating peaceful moments and animals

•she loves to dance, she will pull Jotaro from standing in the corner at a party towards the dancefloor. He's not a good dancer but he'll do it for her

I'm fairly new to the jojo fandom, so this might be a generalization, but I've seen one too many people disregard Jotaro's ex-wife. Like those guys are completely missing the angst potential of him still being SO in love with her, but having to leave her AND his beloved daughter behind to keep them safe. He's a very stoic and scary looking guy, and the idea that she's one of the only people who looked past that and just GETS him, only for him to give it up hurrrts man. Idk I just imagine him coming home after being attacked by some loser stand user like way too close to his house, and seeing his little family, and realizing that he has a very difficult decision to make. Both decisions being some form of selfish in their own way, but one destroying him more. Him handing divorce papers to the love of his life tight lipped. Feeding her lies that he no longer has any love for her, each one paining him to say. Her demanding a proper explanation and begging to talk it out, apologizing for something that isn't her fault, and him shrugging it off as if it didn't mean anything to him. As if it wouldn't keep him up at night for YEARS after it happened.

“Joutaverse” is a storyline I came up with separate from the main timeline and the EOH timeline- in the original universe the story plays out as it does in canon until the very end of stone ocean where instead of the universe being reset by Pucci, Jolyne goes Requiem at the eleventh hour. with SFR, she’s able to manipulate timelines and “change the strong of fate” as one does. She makes a single change to the past, which causes a chain reaction of events- including Hamon being stronger, kakyoin and the other crusaders making it out alive, the events of GW being slightly different, Jotaro’s relationship with her changing to be better, their family expanding with Jotaro remarrying Noriaki Kakyoin and having her stepbrother, and finally... winning against Pucci. this seems wonderful at first, and it is! but there’s two sides to every coin. since the Joestar family curse wasn’t endid with the universe being reset, it lives on and continues with Jouta. That’s where his story begins- a tale of high schoolers, musical theatre, necromancy, witches, and the craziness of NYC in 2020. 

in the present day, Jolyne lives in Austin, Texas as a bestselling author with her friends from Green Dolphin. Florence decided to move closer to her daughter and away from the trauma that Florida brought and is an elementary art teacher! Jotaro retired from the Speedwagon Foundation business and is a marine biology professor at NYU, and he lives with Noriaki and their son in the city. Kakyoin still works with SPW, and hes kind of a jack of all trades! Jotaro and Florence aren’t together anymore because their relationship was mutually Not The Best, but they r still friendly :3
