What's one of your Suegiku and JouTachi headcanons?
hmm 🤔
Well for suegiku I've always imagined that despite tecchous horrid food preferences, he's actually a very good cook and jouno found that out on accident when he ate his food to prove it was bad. it was not. jouno would never admit it tho lmao
as for joutachi, i once had this idea that tachi uses modern day insults to diss jouno and the man gets throughly pissed cuz what the fuck does failing a vibe check mean

Hello wanted to talk to you but joutachi brain. I have a headcanon on Tachi and Jouno dyeing their hair together and Tachihara convincing Jouno to get his ears pierced with him. I think I've told you these before but idk. How do you think that went down?
I think we did mention this a bit when we did that Tattoo Tachuu thread that morphed into Joutachuu!
But, uh, hm. I hadn’t thought that Jouno’s hair was dyed but ya know it probably is (which leaves me to wonder why Aku’s is like that...). The idea of Tachihara getting Jouno to do it with him is very funny and cute to me. I honestly don’t have a ton of thoughts about it right away though so by all means tell me yours!

OOOH pardon for the sexond ask but y e s the manga does really have a more depressing vibe than the anime and i love it, the plot twists hit different 👀
anyway i asked cause im curious about your stance on joutachi and suegiku (jounoxtecchou? actually no idea if thats the ship name)
have a good day/night and thenk for the answers!
(why are you apologizing you little goof ball of sunshine-)
But really tho, I just started reading the manga because I felt out in the fandom and seriously, I DID NOT EXPECTED THIS. I mean yeah- I heard it from my mutuals that it's really violent and stuff but I not expected it to go BOOM- (let's not get off topic here now-)
So, JouTachi, I don't think it's a ship...? (No offence to the people who ship it) I feel like their relationship is more like a 'mentor-student' one but different from dazai and Atsushis relationship. I dont want to Express my thoughts on this cause I dont want to get over-raged and throw random offensive stuff here but yeah- (I have so many thought on them but people get offended easily)
Suegiku, ah yes, one of my favorite ship. I love their dynamic (one is strong dumbass and the other chaotic evil smartass- I love them) I need more of their interactions tbh-
Thank you for asking

Day 3: Earth//Sea “There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all light.”
They put on good facades, to be fair. Tachihara especially, was great at pretending. Jouno was good too, simply because he had heard so many lies, he knew how to tell one.
It could be compared to the earth and the sea.
Tachihara seemed volatile like the sea, raging and uncontrollable, destroying whatever he didn't care for. But in reality, he was like the earth. Stern, grounded, disciplined. He knew what to do to get the job done.
And for Jouno, it was the opposite. He played the disciplinarian, he stayed serious, but internally he was like a child, carefree and selfish, bursting at the seams with barely controlled anger and bloodlust. He'd been forced into this role, and he was not happy about it, but for now he was complacent.
They were opposites, and yet the same. Pretending to be something they weren’t. But Jouno knew that Tachihara was much, much better than him. He was like light, and Jouno was like darkness. Two sides of the same coin, really.
Jouno felt he had to protect that light. He had to bring it back, he couldn’t let Tachihara grow up without having a childhood at all.
Knocking loudly on his door, Jouno fixed his jacket cuffs and crossed his arms, looking unamused when Tachihara opened the door, yawning. “Get a jacket, we’re going out,” he said, and Tachihara stared at him, confused before he hesitantly grabbed his jacket. “You know how to skateboard, right?”
“Yes, I do,” Tachihara said, still suspicious as he ended up grabbing his skateboard too.
“Take me to the skateboard park,” Jouno demanded, tossing his motorcycle keys at him before he began to walk down the hallway. “I can’t,” Tachihara told him, scowling. “I need to focus on my mission before I get deployed.” Jouno ignored it and didn’t stop walking, humming as he checked his phone. Predictably, Tachihara shut his door and began to run after him. “I seriously can’t do whatever you’re trying to get me to do. I need to focus.”
“No,” he said firmly, hopping onto the motorcycle once they were outside, and he faced Tachihara. “You might die on this mission. You’re fifteen, and you might not even live to seventeen. So get on the fucking bike, and let’s go to the skateboard park. Afterwards, we’re getting boba, and then we’re gonna buy some spray paint and vandalize buildings. Am I clear?” Jouno asked, crossing his arms.
Tachihara hesitated, standing there for a moment before he nodded and got onto the motorcycle, crossing his arms. “Okay. I…” He let out a slow breath before he started the engine, and Jouno shoved the skateboard into his bag before they took off, and Tachihara’s shoulders relaxed as they drove away from the base, into the city.
After skateboarding, after boba, and after the vandalism that colored their hands, Jouno leaned back on a bench, and Tachihara was laying across his lap, staring up at the sky as the sun bathed them in orange light.
“Thank you for this,” Tachihara said. He didn’t know how much he missed being a kid until it was slammed in his face like this.
Jouno just shrugged. “You’re too bright to be snuffed out this early, Tachihara. That’s all it is.”

Day 6: Healing//Shaking
When they first met, Tachihara was fifteen, and Jouno was a measly eighteen - barely an adult, and certainly not for very long. Both were recently recruited. Jouno, as a former high ranking executive in a criminal organization, was an entitled asshole, to be quite frank. Since he was bribed with good pay and freedom and women to join the Hunting Dogs, he felt as though he was better than them. In fact, he knew he was.
Tachihara, on the other hand, was shy and nervous - because this is what he had worked for since his brother died. Now that he was finally in the Hunting Dogs, he hadn't wanted to screw it up.
Jouno made fun of Tachihara a lot, fucking with his head and teasing him over everything. Then, during a mission, Jouno got stuck, surrounded by fire. And Tachihara had selflessly saved him. Later, Jouno would claim that that was the moment he began to fall for him.
After a sparring session that Tachihara gave up in the middle of, Jouno threw down the sparring stick and brought his fists up. "Why?" He asked, stepping forward and throwing the first punch, nailing Tachihara's cheek and making the boy cry out. "Why did you give up? In a real scenario, you would've died!"
Tachihara scowled, wiping the blood from his mouth. "Good riddance, then! It's not like I'll ever do anything worthwhile!" He shouted, stepping forward to hit back, except Jouno dodged and slammed a fist into his side.
"I will not listen to such bullshit from the man who saved my life," the taller growled as he started just punching wildly. "Fight back! Don't give up!" He shouted in his face, and Tachihara hesitated, only to groan as a punch landed on his nose, and he recoiled, stumbling.
"Stop punching me!" He shouted, hitting back fiercely, and Jouno grinned when it was finally a challenge, and then they began to beat the shit out of each other.
Years down the line, Tachihara would say that he fell for Jouno then and there.
But for now, they were simply boys, trying to make it through their weeks.
A year passed, and though after Tachihara was deployed, their time was short, they were friends.
Today, Tachihara was coming home for an extended period of time - and Jouno's heart was racing with excitement. He had missed him deeply, so to be meeting with him after so long… his hands were shaking. He was shaking.
"Tachihara-kun," he said, sighing softly and greeting the other man with a hug. "It's been a while," he said. Tachihara's surgeries were always on odd days.
Tachihara hugged him back tightly and smiled. "Yeah, it has. I've missed - you guys," he said.
Jouno chuckled when they parted. "You've gotten so much taller," he said, ruffling his hair with his shaky hands, and when he pulled his hand away, Tachihara grabbed it.
"You're shaking, Jouno."
The taller took in a slow breath and sighed. "I… I missed you," he admitted, hugging Tachihara again. "I don't - I don't think I want you to go again."
Tachihara took in a deep breath, then. "Saigiku, what…?"
"I don't want you to leave again," he said more confidently. "Please - please don't leave me again." Jouno pulled back, and cupped his cheek. "I… Michizou, I think that I…"
Tachihara gazed up at him, and his expression was soft. "Saigiku… me too. Me too," he said, and in an instant, Jouno's hands stopped shaking, and the tension in his shoulders disappeared.
"Thank god," he whispered before he pressed their lips together. "Michizou - I love you," he murmured against his lips.
The redhead nodded, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. "I love you too," he said, breathing heavier. "I love you too, Saigiku."

Day 7: Free day, Hurt//Comfort
Tw: implications of assault
The loud, sudden knock on the door started Tachihara awake, and he was immediately on alert, grabbing his gun and shooting out of bed. When he realized that the knock was on his front door, he crept over, looking in the peephole and blinking at who he saw.
He wrenched open the door and dragged the man inside. "What the hell are you doing here? You could blow my cover!" He whisper-yelled, only to stop, shocked.
Jouno was hunched over, curled in on himself with a hoodie on and over his head. It wasn't easy to see, but his wrists and throat were both bruised. "I didn't know where else to go," he murmured, and Tachihara didn't move for a long few moments. "Can I stay here tonight?" He asked, but his tone was pleading.
The redhead took in a deep breath before he nodded. "Of course. Jouno -"
Jouno tensed up, dreading the questions.
"It's late, but… have you eaten?" He reluctantly shook his head. "Okay. Do you want me to make you something?" He nodded, and Tachihara reached out, then stopped. Maybe right now wasn't a good time to touch him.
"My kitchen is this way," he said, and Jouno followed the sound of his footsteps. "You can sit down while I make it." Tachihara pulled a chair over, and Jouno took in a deep breath before he carefully lowered himself onto the chair.
His shoulders were tense again, and his face was pinched just the slightest bit.
Tachihara didn't speak as he made food. Clearly something had happened, something bad. And if Jouno didn't want to talk about it, then that was fine. Tachihara was just helping as best he could. And when the food was done, Jouno seemed to very much appreciate it.
Once Jouno finished his food, and everything was cleaned up, Tachihara brought him to his bedroom, laying him down and grabbing a pillow and a blanket from the linen closet. He paused at the doorway, though, when he heard a hiccup, and when he turned, Jouno was shaking.
No, he was crying. He was crying.
"Stay," he whispered. "Don't leave me, Tachihara-kun."
Tachihara immediately climbed back into bed and, after a little encouragement, he hugged Jouno close, holding his head to his chest. "It's okay… it's okay, you're safe with me," he murmured. He paused, then, rubbing his back. "You know I'm always here for you, right?"
Jouno didn't reply, only squeezed him tighter, and he hid his face. Tachihara nodded, resting his palm on the small of his back. "I'm here for you. I'm here for you, Saigiku. Just let it all out…"

Day 5: Visitor//Aftermath
"I'm leaving the Hunting Dogs."
Tachihara had said it so… so simply. Like it was easy, like he wasn't going to die in only a few weeks. And then he had grabbed his things and left, and Jouno was left, standing in the office.
Tecchou stared at him, then looked to the open office door. "He's… he's going to die," he said.
Still, Jouno didn't move, and he felt like he couldn't breathe. Tachihara - Tachihara was leaving.
"He can't," he whispered, lifting a heavy foot and stepping forward. "He can't leave us." He can't leave me.
Tecchou stepped forward, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Jouno-san, he… he made his choice. I don't think we can convince him to stay."
"Shut the fuck up!" Jouno shouted, shoving his hand away and swaying on his feet for a few moments.
Then he was hurrying out of the office, grunting as he slammed a shoulder on a doorway and then continuing forward, making his way out of the confusing maze of the military base.
The first thing he noticed as he left the building was that it was pouring outside.
Not even the trees could protect Jouno from the tiny bullets of water as he ran down the sidewalk towards the parking lot, shaking. He was soaked, and he was cold, and he needed to stop Tachihara.
"TACHIHARA-KUN!" He shouted, hoping his voice was louder than the rain. "STOP, PLEASE!"
God, if this son of a bitch made him beg, he'd kill him.
"Jouno, I made my decision. You can't change my mind," Tachihara said, gazing at the taller man as they both got soaked from the rain.
"It's a stupid decision!" Jouno shouted, scowling and stepping forward. "You're gonna die, dumbass! Would you seriously rather have a month to live than stay a Hunting Dog?" He asked, getting closer.
Tachihara hesitated, and Jouno recoiled. "You… are you serious?" He whispered, barely audible over the pouring rain.
"I don't want to die a Hunting Dog, Jouno."
The blind man's shoulders went slack, and he stilled. "Michizou," he murmured, reaching out. "You can't - you can't do this to me."
Tachihara stood across from him, and he sniffled before turning around. "Goodbye, Saigiku."
The rain stopped a couple hours later, and Jouno was still just… standing there, freezing. The only warmth he felt was the hot tears running down his cheeks.
Tecchou, after a bit, brought him inside and got him changed into warm clothes, bringing him to his dorm and swaddling him in blankets.
"He's gone," Jouno whispered, his voice hoarse.
"Yes," Tecchou replied as he put the kettle on the stovetop. "Yes, he is."

Day 4: Clouds//Storm
"I don't want you to say a damn word about this to Tecchou or anybody else," Jouno growled as he stepped into Tachihara's bedroom, presumably after he had broken into the dorm just to bother him about something.
Tachihara rubbed at his eyes, setting his phone down. “About what?” He asked, sitting up more before lightning struck, and Jouno flinched as the thunder boomed, shrinking in on himself. “Jouno…?”
“Just shut up,” he whispered, still frozen in fear.
He was scared of thunder.
Tachihara moved his blankets, understanding what Jouno was asking of him, and he scooted back. “Come here,” he said, and the older man hesitated before he was there, crawling into bed with Tachihara and tucking himself against his chest. “It’s okay. I… you have sensitive ears, right?” He asked.
Jouno nodded, and then Tachihara pulled the other man’s head to his chest, hugging him close to cover his ears up. “So this probably hurts, doesn’t it?” Another nod, and Jouno gripped his shirt tighter before lightning struck again, and the thunder shook the building. “Okay. We can work with that,” he said, pulling the blankets over their heads, the outside quieting, and then he rubbed over Jouno’s back, helping him relax. “Just breathe… We can wait for it to pass like this.”
Jouno didn’t move, sniffling against the other’s shirt. “I don’t - I don’t usually do this, I can handle it just fine, but I -” He tried to find any viable excuse for himself - because he felt pathetic, and he didn’t want Tachihara to think he was pathetic.
"I know. It's alright, Jouno-san. You don't have to explain yourself to me," he said, trying to reassure him.
"Yes, I do!' Jouno shouted, sitting up and tossing the blankets off of their heads. "I - this is not going to happen again. I just need a little bit of help this time, and you are… the only one who won't laugh at me."
Then the thunder crackled again, and Jouno flinched, shrinking and moving to lay against Tachihara again.
The younger smiled and hugged him close. "Alright."
The next morning, after the storm had passed and the clouds had parted to reveal a bright, blue sky, Jouno woke up cuddling Tachihara, and though he blushed, he didn't move.
When Tachihara woke up, the younger smiled, and ran a hand through his hair in a way that made him shiver. "Good morning," he murmured sleepily.
Oh, Jouno was weak in the knees for morning Tachihara.
"Good morning," he said, laying his head down again. "Thank you for… for helping."
Tachihara nodded, relaxing in his bed and sighing. "No problem. Come back anytime."
"I won't, but -" Jouno paused, shrugging. "Maybe."
"I'll take it."

Day 2: Masquerade//Treasure - "I love you, even if there isn't any me, or any love, or even any life. I love you."
They were the perfect team.
Tachihara was an incredible safe cracker. Metal just seemed to manipulate itself and work perfectly in his hands. To this day, there wasn't a safe in the world he hadn't broken into.
Jouno was the master of stealth, breaking in once Tachihara opened the door and extravagantly stealing whatever challenging item they've decided on that night.
"You almost done?" Jouno asked through his earpiece after slipping away from the dinner party, going to the bathroom and pulling the hair gel from his suit jacket, which he stripped off, and the door was locked as he reached into the trash can, where his costume was stored.
"Almost," Tachihara whispered as his partner got changed, his eyes shut as he broke into the locked room.
Slicking his hair up and back, Jouno pulled his mask on and then buttoned his suit jacket. "I'm on my way over," he said with a smirk, leaving the bathroom and making his way down to where Tachihara was crouched.
The door opened a moment later and Jouno strode right in despite all the security systems in place. With a confident grin, he took the crown right from the center, and walked right back out.
The door shut behind him, and the alarms began to blare as they calmly walked up to the rooftop. Jouno set the crown atop his head, laughing when it pushed gently at his mask. "Do you think I'd make a good king?" He asked as they stepped onto the roof, and their helicopter swooped down, lowering the ladder.
Jouno spun Tachihara, then, and dipped him, giggling with him. "I love you," he murmured, kissing the other man passionately and pulling him out of the dip. An arm wrapped around his waist, and his free hand grabbed onto a rung of the ladder just as Detective Kunikida stepped onto the rooftop, pulling his gun out and aiming it at them.
"FREEZE! DON'T MOVE!"
Jouno pulled away from Tachihara, facing the officer. "I know what freeze means, Kunikida-kun," he said, stepping onto the ladder and lifting Tachihara with him, letting him climb up first. "Well - we've done it again! Have you figured it out yet? It's really simple."
Kunikida glared at them. "Do not move, or I'll shoot!" He shouted.
Jouno shook his head, smiling. "Kunikida-kun, you haven't even turned the safety off."
Then the helicopter began to bring the ladder up and fly away - and the moment the doors were shut, Jouno kissed Tachihara again. "Incredible job tonight, my love."
Tachihara smiled back, moving to sit in his lap before he took the crown and put it on his own head. "You too. I couldn't have done it without you."
They kissed again feverishly, until their helicopter driver, Tecchou, cleared his throat. "I've gotta get out of the air, they're watching us. Where do you want me to drop you?" He asked.
Jouno panted softly, his hands rubbing over Tachihara's back. "Anywhere. Anywhere with Tachihara is perfect."
Tecchou sighed exasperatedly. "Anywhere it is."
